This is our go to local Mexican restaurant! The staff (Raquel) is always friendly and quick! I have tried so much on the menu. I've tried plenty of food. But My favorite things to order are the birria, tacos gobanador, albóndigas, tapiquena, and pozole. Must try: oil chile if you like to spice up your meals! For breakfast: green chiliquiles! Plenty of parking!

A side of carnitas $7.99. Pretty good flavor. Some crispy edges.

This place was ok. Went with 2 others. They got the tampequeña and the Chile relleno and enchilada plate. I got the chilaquiles. They both thought the same. Just ok. Everything needed salt. And the salt shaker let 2 grains of salt out per 7 shakes lol. On top of that, the sodas were in a can. Get fountain drinks. Can't be that much and you'll make more in the long run.

Very good food! The service was pretty cool and attentive for sure. For my food I ordered guacamole, and two enchiladas combo, one chicken and one cheese with the side of beans and rice. The food was very good, hot and fresh! Made to order and they accommodate what you want in your guacamole. Very good guacamole and chunky :) The ambiance is not modern, family style restaurant with not too much opulence, but that doesn't matter. The food is delicious and good service! Oh yes the chips and salsa is good too! They have plenty of parking in their lot, and located downtown Azusa! I will definitely be a frequent flyer. -Marshay D.

This restaurant has been on my bucket list for a couple of weeks, and today, I wanted some Cocido soup while recovering from a head cold. I decided to finally try this place out. It's cute and small like a mom-pop traditional Mexican restaurant. The soup was incredible. This was the best soup I ever had at a Mexican restaurant. It was so good and flavorful with big chunks of hearty vegetables and tender beef. I ordered the Tilapia with refried beans and rice also and it was remarkable. I could not eat all of it due to me being full from the soup. I took the rest home. Our waitress, Raquel was impeccable. She went above and beyond our expectations with her excellent customer service. She was very welcoming, accommodating, and fun. My mom had the chicken and shrimp fajitas that were piping hot and with a delightful presentation. It was scrumptious. The chips, salsa, and flour tortillas were good too. Everything was made with love and quality ingredients. This is a great place for some good traditional-style homemade Mexican food. The menu is huge filled with many traditional Mexican dishes. They serve breakfast and alcohol too. I can't wait to return and try more food items. Note: Ample parking in the lot or on the street. The restaurant is located in the downtown Azusa area.

This place is delicious. The service was friendly and attentive. I ordered the Albondigas soup with the broth savory and seasoned perfectly. The meatballs are a perfect size with a variety of veggies.

I got invited to eat with a family friend. She insisted on going here it was my first time so here we go. We ordered a Gordita, chicken tacos, mojarra frita and ceviche camarón. The tacos were dry and not much flavor. The Gordita and the mojarra looked decent dad eats everything so not sure. I had the shrimp ceviche tostada, it has been the worst I have ever tried. It's pico de gallo with chopped shrimp no flavor, no lime or even salt!! I asked the waitress for lime, it didn't set well with her. The place is a mom and pop shop. It's a bit crowded but it works. The service if you are their friend you get the attention otherwise, short questions and you won't get the same attention.

I love their caldo de res. It comes with a side of rice, cilantro, onion, lemon, and your choice of tortillas. I love getting their tortillas de maiz because they're handmade. The size of the caldo is also generous and has a good variety of vegetables. They put corn, potatoes, carrots, cabbage, calabacitas, and chayote in it. I usually eat half the caldo for lunch and the other half for dinner. I normally call in the order, and it's ready within fifteen minutes. Their caldo de albondigas is good, too. I also like how they safely package the food for to-go orders. If you like spicy salsa, make sure to ask for their chile the aceite. It's smoky and spicy. Customer service is always great. You're greeted as soon as you walk in, and they take care of you fast. Come try a caldo today!

I also don't appreciate the poor attitude that two of the bartenders have been displaying lately. They have favorites and it shows a lot. I understand that when it's time to close it's time to close and go. But if you're serving other people and treating those same people nicer because they're your favorites, well that's not cool. In the end we're all patrons. We all support when consuming. But above all, it's the poor attitude that I will never pay for. I used to like coming here often. I probably will never again. I also know that occasionally in the bar they overcharge for cocktails thinking customers will not notice because they've been drinking and bartenders refuse to adjust the check. This is terrible and now you know.

Service: 5 out of 5 their employees are very pleasant and professional. They gladly answer all your foodie ingredient questions. They are more than accommodating. They have hi tables woth stools, as well as the hybrid style booth/table combo. Fans are always circulating and it is definitely not too stuffy. You can twll they make it fresh regularly and do not let it sit. It is by far waaaaay nicer than what they serve anywhere in the area. We got complimentary totopos (chips), pico de gallo, red salsa and refried beans to start. Wow! The refried beans were sooooo good! So flavorful! The chips were delicious too. You can tell they're homemade. The cashier was nice when taking our order. The menudo had good flavor but we didn't care for the hominy since we're not use to eating it with menudo, only with pozole. The meat was cut in tiny pieces. We also had the chilaquilicious chilaquiles which consisted of the chilaquiles with carne asada, bacon and eggs. 1/2 salsa roja and 1/2 salsa verde. The portion was good, however the green salsa can use more flavor. It seemed plain. The red one was better for my taste, it had a Smokey chipotle flavor. Not hot at all. The carne asada could use more salt or seasoning too, seemed a little plain. We tried their salsa macha (chili oil) omg soooo goood and the perfect amount of spiciness. We took home what we didn't finish. I hate wasting something so delicious. Overall a solid 4.
