Yes, get in line. Yes, it is worth the wait. After my 2nd time, here it pays to arrive a few minutes before they open up shop. I am told Wednesday to Sunday 6pm to 12am only, so arrive a bit early get in line!!! The meat choice and options are ALL good!! Highly recommend the pastor, Im allergic to pineapple but it was worth suffering for for the bomb tacos. I absolutely loved the Costillas de cerdo (pork ribs) plate, it was enough for two people, but made for great leftovers for breakfast the next day shredded with some eggs!! The horchata is so delicious, definitely want to try the strawberry Agua fresco next time, and the melons!! Killer salsa bar, love the guacamole salsa the best, their salsas pack alot of heat (and flavor) and watch out for those cucumbers, they come with spicy chopped orange habaneros, don't mistake them for carrots Will definitely be frequenting their location, which is in a nice lil cul de sac across from the church. So beautiful mindful of the area, and the parking. They do offer a nice little seating area, with napkins, chairs and utensils. And while you're in line salivating the smells and being one with thr charcoal smoke, be prepare to get samples from the grill master!! Great marketing and to ease the anxiety of what to order! A must try and yes, the line is worth it. When we first arrived the line was ok, nothing too crazy. As the night went on, it got larger and larger. Boy, this place is popular. The food is really good and the short ribs are amazing. You can get a bunch of them or just ask for 2 or 3. They are really tender and tasty. I really love the staff and how they cater to the line. One of the staff who was chopping up some meat said, "would you like a try?" Of course everyone in the line said yes and he proceeded to give out small bites of the meat he was chopping up as a taste test. Now you have Happy Customers. My top choices are the short ribs and suadero which you can request to be crispy. I prefer it to be tender. It reminded me of carnitas. Please be courteous to the neighbors as it is in a cul-de-sac off of Barranca and Grand. Try to keep the line off the sidewalk as well so others can have a walkway. Oh Jonny! You are the winner for exceptional tacos. I saw their stands many times while I was passing by, and the line was always long. This time, I decided to go. Nothing can go wrong with a consistent long line at different times. There are plenty of parking in the adjacent church parking lot. The staff were very friendly. One of them gave me two large pieces of grilled asada. It was so nice of him. It tasted juicy and well seasoned. We ordered the following; - 6 Asada 5/5 - 4 Pastor 5/5 - 3 Cabeza 5/5 - 6 lengua 5/5 - 3 tripa 5/5 Unfortunately, they ran out of chicken. Otherwise,everything was flavorful and well marinated ( just incredible).The filling was very generous. I paid fifty five dollars for twenty two tacos which was incredibly convenient. They have table with different types of salsa and toppings. You can take whatever you want. They also have burritos, molita.and quesadillas, but we were craving tacos. I love getting tacos from Jonny's. Jonny's is open Thursday - Sunday from 6 p.m. to 12 a.m. and located by Baseline and Citrus. They serve up different types of items: quesadillas, tacos, burritos, and mulitas. The options for protein are: carne asada, carnitas, pollo, suadero, al pastor, and buche. They can serve your tacos on corn tortillas or flour tortillas. I've had both versions of the tortillas. They're both good. If you like burritos, their burritos are hearty. They crisp up cheese on the plancha for the tortilla, add the protein, rice, beans, and then have you add any of the items inside before they wrap it up for you. My go-to order is 2 tacos de asada and 1 taco de pollo. The asada is marinated well and cooked over carbon. The pollo is juicy. They also have chiles and cebollitas asadas. For salsas, they have: a guacamole salsa, a green salsa, a red salsa, and my favorite, the habanero salsa. All of the salsas are delicious. The items are self serve. So after you place your order, you wait in the line, receive your order, and then move down to add cebolla, cilantro, rabanos, cebollas curtidas, limon, and the salsas. They also have canned drinks, water, and aguas frescas. For me, this is my favorite taco stand. The flavor has always been consistent and the customer service is quick and friendly. I am so glad I took a chance at Jonny's tacos because it's genuinely one of the best taco stands that I've tried. They're located on Citrus Ave and Baseline Road closer to the 210 freeway exit. You really can't miss them as they're the only taco stand near that area. Their food is genuinely so good. I love their asada as it's cooked via mesquite charcoal and the al pastor is nice and flavorful. Also love the carnitas, just essentially every single meat here lol. One thing that gravitated me towards this place is how the salsas all look homemade and made with love. They have an avocado salsa that's actually made of avocados which is a big thing for me as I like the real avocado salsa as opposed to the fake avocado salsa. I typically get a burrito with asada and al pastor and Jonny isn't shy with the portion sizes. If you're going to go here for the first time, their asada and al pastor are amazing as well as the cabeza. Also the potatoes that they have soaking in the meat juices is heavenly. Customer service is amazing. Shoutout to Yami for being so friendly with everyone and just telling me how authentic everything is and you can really taste it! Jonny, Yami, the whole team is amazing. Stopped by for tacos after a night of bowling. I ordered an asada taco, chicken and adobada taco. They were good. Not amazing but good. Finally, a good taco stand in Glendora. These guys used to be closer to the Marie Callender's but now is right off of the citrus and 210 freeway exit. The taco stand is clean the people are nice, and the food is good. They've got your Pastor, Carne Asada, Ada, chorizo, Cabeza,& More. At the end, they've got three different salsa as well as some guacamole that you can add. The burrito was packed and fat, and I also got a quesadilla and normally I don't get Carne Asada but they're Connor Asada is very flavorful. My first time here tonight and I was welcomed very warmly by everyone. Yami (not sure if I spelled her name right) was very friendly and helped me out since I'm not 100% steady on my feet. She even had me try a Costillo (which was packed with flavor) and some potato's which was pretty solid! Then she even helped me back to my car. Big sweet heart and in these days I truly appreciate that personal thing from people. The food was bomb, I had asada (with cheese), pastor and chicken tacos. I usually don't get asada with cheese but since it was my first time here I opted for cheese in case flavor was lacking. Definitely won't need the cheese next time but it was a nice treat cos the guy browned the cheese on the grill then loaded up with meat. For 9 tacos I spent $29.50 which for the amount of food was a win in my book. I'm definitely gonna get Costillos next time cos mama's coming back! The salsa options were great, I'm not a fan of red salsas so I skippped that one but the guac was real and packed great flavor, the green salsa had a nice tang to it and the white salsa packed a punch. So if you want spicy, def try that one! All in all good prices, great portions, awesome flavor.
