Been a loyal customer since we found this place, on a walk in 2017 Loved the tacos since day 1 We tried all of them & Carnitas was our favorite, because it was tender; Asada & pastor were next. Kids always had asada. We've had an incident or 2 where the service wasn't great, but the cook, whom I believed was the owner, always made us feel welcome so we kept coming. We ordered a lot through delivery in 20-21 Just because it was easier than driving out here. Unfortunately, some of my orders were not received correctly. :/ I then came once after masks were no longer a thing, they still played cv and had you order outside. Like wow. Always had my doubts about coming back because just that feeling of not being so welcoming at times. Well, today I thought what the heck. It's been a while. I want some tacos. You know when you just have to listen to your gut. Well yeah I didn't. :( I ordered asada & al pastor Asada was soooo chewy. I couldn't eat it. I asked if they could swap for something different. Sooo rude, some guy from the back came out and said no. That he made & tasted and they were perfectly fine. Whatever, I didn't make a big deal. I was leaving & getting into my car when he stopped me. He asked if I'd like a different tacos. I said it was ok. He said, "I don't want you leaving unhappy."Although, I was still disappointed in the food and service it was nice of him to think about it and come back and offer to fix the situation. Thank you much appreciate your ability to solve the problem. The tacos were better. :) Wish they had fixed it when I asked, but at least they had a change of perspective and made it better. Still mixed feelings about this place though. Your choice if you want to try giving it a chance. Tacos are good, just service isn't always welcoming. I came with a friend once. High quality, immensely satisfying burritos!! Would totally order takeout from here again. Their Chicken Burrito was outstanding, the right amount of chicken, rice, beans, cilantro, and onions. Also, their chicken was cooked nicely, didn't find any fatty pieces in the entire burrito, a major plus! The burritos come with chips, their mild green and hot red salsas are great. It's been awhile since coming to Taco Grill so thinking it would be a good idea I ordered our usual 3 plate soft taco. We had carne asada and chicken tacos. Came with rice and beans. Also last minute got a couple of churros. While waiting for the churros I noticed a menu on the counter. The menu read Taco Girl, not Taco Grill. So I asked The young lady at the counter, she stated she changed the name since she now owned the shop since her dad passed away a couple of years ago? She seemed friendly and had our food ready to go . At home, excited to eat the tacos, everything was presented nicely in the container, however, digging into the meal, the asada tacos tasted dry, the rice was also dry and beans tasted canned. I was a bit disappointed. I don't want it to sound like since there's a new owner, that things taste different but that's the eating experience we had. I wish all the best for Taco Girl, not sure if we'll be back anytime soon. It was just a bit disappointing. read more

My favorite taco place ever! I've been frequenting this place for almost 10 years and I love it. This family owned hole in the wall is a hidden gem that everyone should try at least once! This is a grab to go type place, with minimal seating and a tiny interior. That's just my style and we always call ahead for pick up. My man and I always get their nachos with everything on them (I'm all about their flavorful shredded beef and he likes their grilled chicken) and A LOT of their phenomenal green and red salsa on the side. The burritos are also great (try one WET with both salsas + cheese) and their carne asada soft tacos are excellent. On top of all that, the service is always awesome and the incredible woman who owns this place is an absolute angel. We love you guys! read more

Food~10/10~my order totaled $14 something after taxes BUT, Whoa!!!! This place makes THE best Carne Asada Nachos I've ever enjoyed!!!! The portions given turned out so large that I can't finish in 1 meal so will have leftovers for tomorrow's lunch. Service: 10/10....should have asked for cashier's name. He was very courteous, pleasant, friendly, and efficient . My order was delivered to me super promptly within less than 20min of a wait. Ambiance: it's a very small restaurant that holds very few tables inside, so I believe it's more suitable for take out experiences which was what I did today on Wed, 08/07/2024. I love eating at the taco girl. you know the tacos, the shrimp tacos. they don't smell like fish. they smell and taste phenomenal. you know how you can get some shrimp tacos. the food is great and the hard shell tacos are to die for. also the wet burrito. oh, Taco Bell makes a really good wet burrito. I mean everything from the chips to the salsa and just the the meats are just phenomenal. it's very tender service. fantastic. just you feel like you live there and the ambiance is pretty cool. it's really nice warm atmosphere. thank you Taco girl. thank you. love your food read more

I got the asada burrito and tacos. I've come here multiple times in a week because it is so delicious. I've been trying out mexican food for the past year in the area and they all taste off. I have even went to places in the IE and la and it is still not as good as this restaurant. The food is sooo fresh and you can instantly tell when you bite into it. The portions are generous and it is definitely worth the price. I recommend the asada and shredded beef for choices of meat. Service here is very nice while the interior is clean. It is gonna become my go to spot now, definitely recommend x10000 Update: I brought it back for my family to try and they all loved it. Good but it could use a bit of work, I got a quesadilla plate with Al pastor inside the quesadilla, and a single fish soft taco. Fish taco was pretty great, one of the better ones I've had this far from the pier, the fish has a solid crisp fry, not a beer batter which is a variation I enjoy, the slaw is fresh and the chipotle is good. The quesadilla was alright, and it comes with rice and beans, the meat distribution was a bit iffy on the edges. One had barely any cheese and meat, the other had a decent amount of cheese but only had 2 little chunks of meat, but the center was packed with Al pastor. I don't usually care for cheddar or whatever yellow cheese is used in the quesadilla, but overall i liked both the items I got. However, I think I waited a solid 22-23 minutes for my order, which I can sort of understand given the small staff size, but it was still a bit frustrating. The food is good, and maybe my service being slow is just a 1 time thing, it's a good spot to try if you're tired of other Mexican restaurants. read more

Just finished eating here for the first time. Ordered the soft taco platter and omg it was sooooooo delicious. I'm literally stuffed. The tacos were so filled with flavor, and the beans, rice, and chips were the topping on the cake. Will definitely be going here again, and again. Taco Girl a.k.a. Taco Grill has some of the best crunchy tacos I've ever had. I ordered the al pastor and the grilled chicken, and both came on a freshly fried corn tortilla. The salsa is spicy and I even got a side of freshly fried tortilla chips with my order. The owner was working the register, and she was so friendly. It had been a while since I had visited, but wow. The food is as good as ever on this particular visit I purchased what it's called the bowl. Rice beans 4 corn tortillas a side of cilantro, topped with Carnitas. It was incredible. I was able to make myself for good size tacos with the red sauce on the side and it totally filled me up and it was delicious. My new favorite item from Taco Grill is their taco salad! It's so good! I pick one up a few times per month. I usually get the taco salad with carne asada. The meat is always perfectly cooked and seasoned. The taco salad comes with whole pinto beans, cheese, onion, tomato, cilantro, and freshly fried crispy tortilla strips. You have 2 dressing options: chipotle dressing or creamy guacamole sauce. You place & pay for your order at the register. We ordered the same plate ~carne asada tacos, beans, rice, chips & salsas on the side. Wow, it was hot & fresh, the beans were flavorful, tacos delicious with a nice squeeze of lime. All the salsas were delish too. The chips were freshly made you could tell, they were crispy and had a nice crunch to them. The price was great and affordable. The owner was friendly & she came to ask how our food was and gave us some coupons & menus to take back to our office. Came in early afternoon for a mid day snack for me and my wife. Service is always top notch here. They are very inviting and kind. Got some nachos for take out. The homeade chips is what made the nachos great. All the topping were very good. I loved their green salsa packed with flavor and just a little bit of heat. Couldn't ask for anything more. Unfortunately a couple hours later I started to get a stomach ache and want to leave it at that. Not sure what didn't agree with me. Had the same experience before but wanted to try them out again. I gave it 2 stars cause it was just ok... paid $30 for my order and it was probably worth half of that maybe.?? The side of rice tasted burnt, and they charged me extra cause I didn't want rice in my burrito.. weird right ?? Reason is cause they said "they have to fill the burrito " Makes absolutely so sense. I came here a few weeks ago, the food was good, I liked the menu, the salsa is good, and they give a good amount of portions. I went today, and the food tastes ok, BUT, it had a weird after taste, and the food tasted like the way a dirty fridge smells. I can't explain it. I thought it was just me, but I couldn't get over it and could not finish the food. I may be wrong, but if I they leave the ingredients in the fridge without a lid, this may happen. A vegan review. Taco Grill is a little cafe just off the 210 Freeway/Grand Exit in Glendora. Hidden away in a plaza, a family business, that's a local favorite. Closer to healthier home made Mexican food than a Taco stand. They also promote Taco Tuesdays. Although, they do not offer any kind of plant based meats on their burritos or tacos, it is still pretty satisfying with all of the other added fresh ingredients. There is a vegetarian section on the menu. (omit the sour cream or cheese for vegans) I ordered the Veggie Burrito (grilled peppers, zucchini, muschrooms, beans, rice, guacamole). And I ordered an additional side of chips and salsa. It was some minutes wait but the burrito was fresh and worth the wait. Their tortilla chips are freshly fried, not from a bag. The red salsa had some kick. I over heard that the orginal owner had recently passed away so the daughter continues to operate their restaruant. So come down and support this little gem. Best tacos in town! We were hesitant to come here on the way back from Big Bear because of the reviews about the rude man with a temper but luckily met with the sweet friendly young lady at the front instead. Highly recommend the cheesy tacos - the shredded beef and carnitas for the protein and love every bite. Our daughter got the nachos and had plenty of chips leftover to enjoy later. The taco sampler is great as they're little tacos so you can try a bunch. Tiny place so not a lot of seating. No restroom so you'll need to go next door to the gas station. What's really cool is that it shares a parking lot with a Thai place next door and a Mediterranean place on the other side, both of which have amazing reviews. So you can treat the area as a food court with different folks having different cuisines! The only sad part is that we ate everything so no leftovers to take home. ;) read more
