We have used Jessy's team for the past five years. We are leaving the area and I wanted to write this review in appreciation of the great relationship we've had with her. Her teams do a great job, and if ever we had an issue, it was resolved in a quick and friendly manner. She always responded promptly to emails and texts as well. Jessy has always been flexible in rescheduling with me if I had guests coming, were travelling, or needed to change the date for any other reason. We saw a handful of cleaners over the years, almost always the same 4-5 people (usually teams of 2 women), and it felt good and more secure to have the same teams coming rather than different people each time. You also know that she is a good employer since she has had the same employees for a long time. I also liked using Jessy Cleaning Services because it is a local, female owned business. We will miss her touch in our house. I guess the best recommendation I can give is to say that if we ever were to return to the NoVa area, we wouldn't hesitate to engage her team again. read more

I scheduled this company for a Sat move-out. I confirmed twice with someone by text msg. Sat comes...no cleaning crew. I was freaking out because my landlord was coming in 3 hrs and I needed some more help with cleaning. THE WORST. DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS COMPANY. They came to my appointment 2 hours late with no explanation. After waiting an hour, I left to go run errands thinking that they weren't coming...I get a call 2 hours later saying that they were outside my house and asking if I still wanted the service. I told the receptionist that I would be back in 15 minutes and dropped everything to make it back. When I returned (15 minutes later), they were not here, nor did they answer the phone after I called at least 10 times. Finally, when I call from a different line, I made contact with the receptionist who told me that they would not be coming and asked if I could do it another day. No explanation for why they were late, nor why they left after arriving 2 hours late. Do yourself a favor and go with someone else for your cleaning needs. read more

Like one of the other posters, I too had to finally cancel Jessy Cleaning. They were breaking my stuff as well and hiding it. My furniture is marked up because of them as well. They don't have any respect for you belongings it seems. I have nicks in my bed, the walls, the cabinets from their equipment. They just do not know how to clean properly. I mean, the job is fair to, now poor. One other poster said that they leave streaks behind, well, they really do. I just wonder how much bacteria they are actually spreading by using just one or two rags. They also used WAY to many of MY paper towels. so, here are the pro's and cons: Pro's: they show up, Hanna is nice, Cons: they hide things they break things they leave things dirty, or not touched up. too much of a hurry to get to the next job, which shows me that they are understaffed. lack of respect for your furnishings, too much banging of the equipment. very poor at actually cleaning. DONT let them clean your dishes. I think they just dip them in hot water and they are "done". They do not "straighten up'' as they say in their "services", actually, they don't do many of the things they promise. oh well. I could go on and on, I really think they could do so much better. I have used them off and on because they are reasobable in price, however, when you have to re-do most of the cleaning it's not worth it in the long run. I do have to say that when I complained, they did offer to come back, on a Saturday--um, no, to re-clean. I told them, "no thanks". I used Jessy Cleaning for the first time this week. They arrived 15 minutes late, but I must say they did an excellent job. My hardwood floors are gleaming clean, and they did every single one of the things on their checklist. This includes taking out trash, vacuuming upholstered furniture, along with a bunch of other listed tasks. By the way - Their vacuum is excellent, I have never seen our carpet look so clean! The only reasons I would not give 5 stars are because: (1) they arrived 15 minutes late; (2) there was some confusion as to how much I owed; and (3) although the website says "light" tidying up, I would appreciate more thorough tidying up. For example, they didn't pick up clothes from the floor of my walk-in closet. All in all, I got exactly what I was expecting. I will definitely be using them again, probably for the regular monthly service. read more

There does seem to be some variation between the crews, some are more detailed and give a deeper cleaning than others (I know that I can tell). Using their service for first time for monthly deep clean. Setting up service was fast and easy. Ladies arrived on time and cleaned house within an hr. Did a great job in kitchen. But they used our tissue rolls to clean kitchen and bathroom!!!! Also didn't find the cleaning task to match their online check list. Windowsills, cobwebs baseboards and doors were left untouched. I used Jessy Cleaning for the first time for a move-out cleaning. The representative was very nice & professional in setting up the appointment - we communicated via email. I wasn't impressed with the actual cleaning, though. They had sent me a long list of all the detailed things they do for move-out cleanings, and the clean definitely wasn't that detailed. They showed up an hour early than my appointment, so we were still packing up and weren't expecting them. The cleaning was a very quick, surface cleaning - and took them under an hour for a large two bedroom apartment. It was $100 for the move-out cleaning, and I don't think it was worth it. Communication is the worst I have ever expereiced! When I would contact Jessy directly it would take on average a week to hear back. They had been cleaning my home for over a year and for two months I have called, and text Jessy for cleaning and she has ignored it all. The team came in and immediately went to work. Their cleaning is spectacular & I will definitely use them again. I have 4 bathrooms and they cleaned each one in detail. My only surprise was when they asked me for a particular cleanser which I did not have. When I could not produce her request, she made due efficiently with what she had. I've a medical condition and a service that paid for my cleaning found them for me so this could have been a result of that because I've never had a cleaning service request anything of me, except pay. They are affordable, fast and punctual. They clean the large common area well -- kitchen, living rooms, bedrooms, and bathrooms. My biggest concern isn't getting every nook and cranny but getting these large areas done in a short amount of time. If you want deep cleaning and have a large home, you may need to pay extra and/or more time. You may have to point out specific areas that they may forget to clean. I made sure to ask to have the floors cleaned underneath my couches. But I also make sure to be home when any cleaners come so I can double check their work before they leave. Overall, they are excellent cleaners. They are open to using bleach and your own cleaners. They made my beds with no extra charge. read more

I have been using Jessy Housecleaning for about 8 months. They are reliable, nice, affordable, honest, and very flexible on scheduling, which is really appreciated. I especially like that they will come every 3 weeks, which is perfect, but you can't find that too often. The quality is fair - not as good as I would do it, but that seems fairly common... a bit superficial, and I hate that they use rags on the glass b/c you get smears, but other than that, I think they do a good job. Why I finally canceled them, tho, is that they keep breaking my stuff b/c they are trying to be too fast. I have lots of dings on my molding from them jamming my vacuum cleaner into the walls, they've broken glass votive holders, a part on my piano, another glass, etc. Nothing was expensive, and for some of the stuff, I could fix, but it was stuff that I liked and I'm tired of them breaking my stuff! read more

Great cleaning service! They did such a fantastic job on my apartment cleaning that I signed up for the bi-weekly service. Jessy sends you a list of everything they will clean when the team comes through and they really do a thorough job. I'm so glad to have them so I can get to other things in my busy life. I've used them for a bit over a year, started with a move out clean of my last place, moving in clean for my current place and then monthly since. I've read the other reviews and I think most people that have issues are due unrealistic expectations. I've watched the cleaners work and also been away while they are here but they are efficient. Yes they mop the floor, but no, they aren't spending extra time to hit all of the corners extra well. If I'm done a big clean of my place yes, I get down on my hands and knees and clean in those hard to reach areas, but cleaning companies do not do that. Sorry, just not going to happen with any of them. They are there to hit the major areas and be efficient about it. I'm pleased with how they clean up my mess, I'm sure others could do it just as well but they work for me and the cost is right. read more

Had another great experience with Jessy. I've had them clean this big house 3 times now. I asked them to come for a move-out clean. We didn't manage to get all of our stuff out in time for them to come, but they were good about it and did the best they could do given the amount of furniture that was still in the house. I live in a group house with many roommates who travel often. We decided to invest in a cleaning service to help with upkeep and avoid fighting and Jessy's Cleaning has been great! Similar to what other people have said, it isn't a "perfect" clean for folks who are particular but they get all the big common areas (kitchen, restroom, living room, bedrooms, etc) and have been a really big help in our house. A friend recommended, but I won't be recommending them to anyone. In two visits they have put a small hole in my bathroom, now they bleached my walls which changed the color of the walls, and they use a vaccum to sweep floors and it doesn't pick anything up. Also they are so rough on things that you fear they are going to break something. They left and left windows open as well. They bring their own stuff which is why we gave them a 2nd chance, but canceled them coming back again. DO NOT USE THEM. read more

I hired Jessy Cleaning Services thinking from all the good reviews that the website claimed etc. I decided to do the Deep Clean Move Out the prices seem reasonable. But that is when it went down hill from there. When my renters moved in the place was totally dirty nothing was wiped down or cleaned, the bathroom still had the scum and mold on the tiles. The only thing cleaned was the refrigerator. I am like WTF!! So I called them asking to fix the situation before it gets worse. So they claim they will call back but never did. Do not trust these people they say they have business license but doubt it just to BAIT you in with their low prices. If its low its too good to be true. Pay a little more. Also if you decide to hire them watch them like a hawk cuz they are bunch of lazy people. I talked to Jessy and she seems to apologetic but you know what "Sorry" is not going to solve anything. Get to the root of the problem and start firing lazy workers who are not going to work. read more

Their service is really not worth even $1 to anyone who remotely pays attention to how clean their home is. I paid $130 every two weeks and my house was never clean. Several times, the crew didn't even bother going to my basement to clean and when my nanny told me, I told Jessy who offered one cleaning at half price to make up for it. The other issue was that we had different crews all the time and most of them just wasted time and didn't clean properly. With my busy work schedule, it was very frustrating that in order to ensure proper cleaning, I literally had to follow them from room to room. Who has time for that. We used this service for years and they became unreliable, blamed us when they set off our alarm system regularly (even though they knew how to shut it off) and in the end they simply cut corners wherever they could. The alarm issue cost us quite a bit of money with the county and in the end Jessy Cleaning simply stopped being responsive to issues and ignored their responsibility to provide reasonable, high quality customer service. Very disappointing; they had a hard time keeping consistent cleaning staff and that led to inconsistent service. Jessy is a mediocre service who only cleans at the "what is visible" surface level,,, they have a very hard time being consistent. read more
