Booking and confirmation was very smooth with a clear estimate (a bit pricey, but you pay for quality), the technician called when he was 20 minutes away for notification and showed up properly and respectfully. He showed me his progress as he clean to ensure my satisfaction and explained the process. House is move-our ready! Will be using again in the future if/when needed as well as refer friends. Had some minor couch stains on a 3 seater and they came out within 2 days to clean. Scheduling was easy. The technician was friendly and did a good job. He explained everything and was done quickly. My reason for 3 stars is because on the phone they quoted me $89 to clean the entire couch. The technician then said it would be $250... He took off $60 so the total was $190 but that's more then double the original quote. I rent out my home and use their service to do a deep clean on all my carpets when I have a transition between tenants. The carpets in my house are nearing the end of their life, but MGCC keeps them going by making them look so clean and new. Since I'm far away, I'm always so impressed that they will go above and beyond to take photos and send them to me and work with me to accommodate all of my requests. Seriously - these guys are miracle workers. I moved into my apartment 3 years ago and there were some pretty deep stains from the previous renters. My landlord said that that they had tried to get the stains out but were unable. But the stains were no match for Vaughn, Mohamed and their high end hot water extraction machine. Average and overpriced. I should've gone local, but I was lured by the all 5 star reviews. There is no way any business has all 5 star reviews. Doesn't exist. The lead technician was professional and polite, no complaints there. The other technician showed me the dirty water, so I know the carpet was getting cleaned. I just didn't see a difference in the before and after. And for what I spent, I think I should have seen a difference considering there was 6 years worth of dirt in those carpets. I also was not happy in that no one contacted me afterwards, so I could tell them this. They took my money, gave me a coupon for next time, but didn't bother to see what I thought of the result. So in the future, I will save $200 or so and just go local. The worst that could happen is that I don't see a difference, right? EDIT (in response to owner's comments): My expectations were based soley on the ALL 5 star reviews (your company made no promise nor guarantee), most of them saying "worth every penny" or "carpets looked brand new again". I find it hard to believe that not one reviewer had even a 4 star review? Something seems off. I also don't believe my expectations were too high: I expected the carpet to look better/cleaner than before the cleaning. Second, your company is not local to me. Local does not mean small business or "not a chain". Every company is local to someone, but we are not even in the same county. So therefore, you are not local; in fact, I was surprised that I was in your service area. Quotes were lower from local businesses, but since they serve a smaller market, reviews were non-existent...so I figured it was worth it for "the best" (based on the reviews). We opted for the rotary extraction method. It's the most thorough of the cleaning methods, using your hot water to aggressively clean the carpet. The two techs did a fantastic job cleaning the carpet. The carpet looks and feels brand new. I wish I took a before and after shot. As soon as you see it and you step on it, it just looks and feels like cleaner carpet. We had the whole house measured for flooring but now are considering leaving the carpet as it is for a while. The only issue I had has to do with pricing. We received an estimate of $59.95 per room (200 square feet or more) and a $259.95-$359.95 total estimate. In hindsight, I wish I requested more information or been provided some additional details about the cost difference. On the day of the carpet cleaning, the main tech said even though the hall and stairs counted as 1 room, they would be 2 charged as 2 areas to clean. Seconds before, the same tech asked the other tech, 'the hallway is kind of small, what do you think we should do?" The other tech did not answer. I was disappointed in how this was handled and for paying $120 to clean a small hall and 9 narrow steps. Afterwards, I found out most carpet companies charge a fee per step or additional fees for wider steps. Good news though! Read on. The owner, John, contacted me several times afterwards to resolve this dissatisfaction. He was very patient, accommodating, and very focused on getting this resolved. He said the hall and stairs are counted as separate cleaning areas but the tech is supposed to work with the customer on variations in these cleaning areas. This was my first time getting the carpets cleaned so I really didn't know what to expect aside from a general idea. Honestly I did not expect anything to come out of my conversation with the owner but to my surprise, I was credited almost double of what I thought was a fair price. He went above and beyond to make things right. A larger company would have never done that. I didn't realize they were a small business. Their success depends largely on customer satisfaction and retention, so they are more focused on consumer needs and doing a good job then a larger run-of-the-mill carpet cleaning company. Who doesn't want more personal attention in a demand driven world? Give them a shot. They are very reliable and responsive and want to do a good job the first time around. Words are not enough to describe how happy I am with the carpet cleaning job. They really did an excellent job. I can't get over how nice my carpets look and feel. If you walk down the hall and into each bedroom and see the difference, you'd think I have new carpets. The prior weighted, matted, dirty feel of the old carpets is gone. All I see now is raised, firm, clean carpet everywhere. . We just bought this house and this is a major improvement in the aesthetics. They really got the filth out of these carpets and did a fantastic job. And I am soooo glad I got the rotary extraction method and not the deep clean or the basic clean method. I'm sure those methods are fine but for the most aggressive and thorough cleaning job, the rotary extraction method was worth it. You can really see and feel the difference. Vaughn and Tim came to give us their expert opinion on cleaning a carpet in the house we just purchased. The carpet had a big stain around the bed area, presumably from people walking on it with shoes or slippers. Vaughn said that they can't guarantee that they will be able to clean it. They worked on it, and, by the time they were done, the carpet looked brand new! They did a great job cleaning the carpet. I have one low spot in the floor for some reason, and every other carpet cleaner I've had out leaves that area very wet. After one company came to clean, the floor was wet for 2 days. Mean Green cleaned it and more importantly extracted it well so it was clean and dry by the evening. Will use them again for sure. Well, my wife told me to call before I wrote a review and I wish I had. When I did call them, I felt bad about the review ... not due to inaccuracies, but due to their excellent service in addressing my concerns. They refunded the difference in price even though it was because it was a large room, not the cleaning vs. spot treatment the tech had mentioned. They also returned and cleaned the aftermath stains from the dog for free. They said they had not had trouble with pets before, so who knows if it was the cleaner or just something else my dog ate. Our dog was OK the second time, but we kept him off the carpet until it was completely dry. Everything from the scheduling to the service far exceeded my expectations, in terms of how knowledgeable, friendly, and on time they were. I've never been this enthusiastic about a carpet cleaning company...seriously. I have a 2BR condo and a dog, and have had my fair share of nightmarish experiences with carpet cleaning companies (from machines that stopped working, causing them to leave without drying a single fiber, to my entire place smelling like Bubblegum for weeks on end, to one guy who showed up 7 hours late). It has been a struggle trying to find a decent, stress-free way to get my carpets cleaned. From the get-go, the guy who scheduled my appointment with Mean Green answered my questions and went through the rates and options for different levels of cleaning (i.e., how deep any stains go). He even called back to clarify something we'd discussed, and sent me a confirmation email. Prior to the appointment, the technician (Raphael, their actual employee, not a subcontractor), called to confirm about 30 minutes before he arrived. They cleaned the carpet with a rotating brush, applied an enzyme spray to help with some dog-related stains that were there, and it looks great. All of the stains are gone, and the carpet has that fresh, just-cleaned look. Raphael was friendly and professional to deal with. He took the time to explain different cleaning methods and types of carpets. As far as I'm concerned, he might as well have a Ph.D in carpet. He was THAT knowledgeable, and detailed about the process. I can't tell you how happy I am with the level of service and what a great job they did! He's not as chatty as his brother (Rafael), but he was still friendly and professional. Overall I'm pretty satisfied. See below for original review. They did a okay job cleaning routine stains off the carpet however not anything deep set or has been there for a while. I'd like the idea of green cleaning however I feel for more deeply set in stains or pet stains you may want to consider an alternative modality. The customer service was outstanding which is why I'm giving them for stars as opposed to three stars. And the cost is comparable to industry standard for about 600 square footage it was just under $300 including "deep pet stain removal" (which actually was only moderately effective). I had some water stains on my couch and was hoping to have an upholstery professional check them out ASAP. I called various places and either got no response or a long wait time. This place picked up the phone promptly and was able to schedule me in for a next day visit (on a Saturday!). The person on the phone was very professional and was able to answer all my questions. The prices I was given were in line with prices I had been given at other places. The technician arrived in a timely manner and spent some time looking at the couch and the products that we used on it. He told us that he wasn't sure that he would be able to get the stains out fully, and recommended that we call the furniture store instead to see if they had any fabric care tips. I was somewhat disappointed that the upholstery professionals were stumped by the stains on my couch, but their advice was actually great and saved me a lot of money. The place that sold me the couch was able to tell me exactly what to use, and I was able to get the stains out (mostly) with an inexpensive product. Not only was he very polite and well spoken, he was also very patient and thorough in suggesting what type of cleaning we would need for our carpet that was severely damaged by pet stain. I read yelp reviews before hiring TMGCC. Most said that they wished that they had taken before and after shots. I do not know why I did not. My light colored carpet is older and shows dirt. PLUS, our pet had an accident. My carpet is bright and clean and I am very happy. I had another company come in the morning to give me a quote and supposedly do the work. But, the quote in person was much more than the quote over the phone. Since I was not in a hurry, I did not use them. I reached out to TMGCC late morning and got a quote.
