Every time I leave Costco I come here for an Americano!

When you have "Coffee" in your name, one would expect you to excel in Coffee. Imagine calling yourself "Jesters Hot Bagels" and all you served were cold, stale bagels. See where I'm going with this? Although it's a cute little place, the beans used for my americano tasted extremely stale. Coffee is produce. Sorry, but that beverage was terrible. read more

Go here all the time!! "The Amanda" breakfast sandwich (bagel of your choice, cream cheese, pesto, tomato, and bacon) is really good. Nice place to have lunch with a friend or to post up and study...I would highly recommend to anyone. read more

their coffee is so good. i've tried their sandwiches for lunch, they're pretty good. a little more gourmet-ish than some of the local delis. haven't tried the breakfast sandwiches. while i've never sat down inside, it looks comfortable, quite a bit different than starbucks. a good selection of teas. they get their teas from a local place in brookfield. the iced tea is excellent. read more

Such a cute little place. Definitely not what I expected, it doesn't look so fancy on the outside but it's super cute and nice on the inside. The coffee is awesome and clearly made fresh right in front of you, and the staff is friendly. Prices are the same as any other coffee place but obviously I'd rather support the local business. They also have kombucha on draft which my boyfriend likes. I get my coffee fix and he gets kombucha. Everyone's happy lol read more

Cute little spot. I got the breakfast sandwich with two eggs, bacon, pepper jack, onions and peppers on a hard roll (which is deceiving because it is very soft!). One of the best breakfast sandwiches I've ever had. 10/10 would recommend!!! The staff is also very friendly and cheery :) read more

Good food, friendly staff, great ambience. The food was priced reasonably. I had a bagel with eggs and cheese ($3.50), my friend had a bagel with cream cheese ($1.75). A medium iced coffee was $2.00, which is less than you'd pay at Starbucks. The juices/smoothies seemed a bit expensive, but we didn't have any so I can't speak on whether or not they're worth it. However, there was an unreasonable wait for the amount and type of food we ordered. The wait was not much shorter for people who ordered to go, so definitely don't come here if you're in a hurry i.e. on your way to work. Also, there's not a ton of seating, so you'll have to schedule your visit around peak times. I'll likely be going back because it's a cute place to hang out with friends, but it does have its drawbacks. read more

The atmosphere is cozy and simple, the food was really good although a little skimpy, the prices made sense, but the people who worked there seemed sad and/or disinterested. It made me feel bummed out. Still, a nice place. read more

I love Jesters! I moved to the area in November and someone I work with raved about Jesters so much I had to try it for myself. My favorite thing is their kombacha and their muffins. I am always looking for a good coffee place, so I searched for places near the Danbury Mall to stop at. The menu sounded promising (any place that offers a french press cup is promising to me), so we decided to check it out. The location is right on the main road and the building itself is small, but cute. The owners were very friendly and helpful when it came to the menu, which includes "frappes" and all the usual coffee and espresso drinks. I had an iced latte which was pretty good. The main room included a couple of tables and a rack of classic comics which I thought was pretty cool. Overall, a nice place that could use some more business! read more

I stopped bye after I picked up pool supplies. After drinking their coffee, I quickly reasoned that I would have been better off drinking pool water as my drink was cold and old. The service was slow and rude. When I asked for a menu, the barista ignored me. I ordered the breakfast sandwich and similar to my coffee it was cold and took forever. In fact, I had to inform the barista a number of times that my order was up, and once again, was ignored. Jesters lives up to it's name, this place is joke and only a "fool" would eat at this place. In fact, I believe the owner of this place is the real jester. read more

This place is the best! I'm here nearly every day it's one of my favorite places for breakfast and coffee or even just a quick snack. They have a wide variety of breakfast and lunch options. Very flexible with item changes to fit what you want. Their specials are unique and delicious! The prices are very reasonable. The staff if very kind and inviting and you can see how hard they work since the kitchen is open to the store (which also makes the store smell amazing!) The seating area is small but comfortable and they are willing to move tables around to fit groups. They have a shelf of comics, books, and games which makes it great to visit with children. Along with two accessible high chairs. Wifi and outlets are available for people who come in to do work. The kitchen is small so if you have a big order or are in a rush it's best to call ahead. I absolutely love this place and recommend it to everyone! read more

I go there a lot for coffee. The staff are great. One of the few places around that have a selection of hand fruit for purchase. The bottled water is less than a buck! I would love to see a fresh juice selection for sale. Apple Carrot Ginger Rules! My other recommendation is to move the counter against the right wall instead of in the back right. Ditch the big conference table and throw a ton of cushy chairs all over the place. get rid of the wall behind the confrence table. Finally, shadeify! When is the next open mic nite? read more

I'm so stoked I found this place by a recommendation from the owner of Ultimate touch Car detailing next door. (By the way my car looks great they do amazing work!) The food is awesome and the super fresh fruit smoothies are delicious. They are adding a juice bar coming soon. The owner/chef is friendly and cool as well as the staff. I had a delicious organic egg white omelet with spinach and tomato and an iced green tea. Nice atmosphere to hang out and get some work done on the computer. WiFi ready! And they have TV! read more

This place has so much potential so it pains me to leave a 3-star review. Although the coffee drinks and the food are actually quite good (and reasonably priced), the staff isn't trained on how to make any of the menu items and they never have the required ingredients to actually make what you order from their menu. I once tried to order a smoothie and asked what ingredients were in a particular smoothie on the menu; I was told by the young man that "he could make it however I want it". I didn't think he understood me so I asked; "no I mean what are the ingredients that come in it". And he said, "I'm not sure". Frustrated, I had to come up with my own combination (I am no smoothie expert either) and fumbled off a list of ingredients to which he replied, "oh we don't have peanut butter....or actually we don't have bananas right now either". I was shocked. I ended up ordering a coffee and leaving...very disappointing as this tends to be my experience every couple months when I decide to "give it one more chance". read more

Coffee is good and the staff is very nice, but the seating needs to be changed if they want to entice more people to stay and eat/hang out/drink more coffee. They have a big conference table in the front room and a couple of seats in the back. Customers would like comfy couches and small tables a lot better. read more

Reading all the reviews herein, one would think that the term "hidden gem" was describing some other place--certainly not Jester's. It's a rather shabby storefront with barely better interior. Tables are mismatched, but not in a cool way; there's one cool used artist's drafting table with paint marks on it, a few brown velvet chairs (incongruous on the shabby vinyl floor), but the rest are filthy, ripped office chairs from the 80's--tables must be about the same age. Weeds are overtaking the back (permanently closed) door. On to the food: We had omelettes with bacon in them and omg, the bacon was half raw. (Why do so many restaurants not understand that bacon is pork and pork must be cooked through?) The eggs were...eggs, nothing special. The muffins were delightful, and we were glad we got those, at least (blueberry). I can't fault the coffee, which was delicious and packed a punch. All in all, we wouldn't go out of our way to go back; we live in Bethel and O'Neils is much better and has more variety. But if you live close by, I'm sure it's good for the basic bacon, egg & cheese sandwich and coffee, etc.(Just be sure to asked for thoroughly cooked bacon!) They need to get a decent interior design and kick in their A-game on the food. In the meantime, I don't understand the excitement I've seen in these reviews at all. read more
