I paid $140 for two seats that were clearly shown as a two seat row. When my wife and I boarded, we discovered the row actually had three seats. No one pays extra for a middle seat -- ever. My seat number was k6 and the seat has no cushion whatsoever, I had to stack pillows and blanket to prevent back pain Most incompetent company I've had to deal with. Called someone in Detroit to get information about the plane and flight, he gives me another number to call I believe it was in Chicago. I call that number, another person tells me we don't handle this, you have to call another number. Called that number, that person gave me the original Detroit number. I called Detroit back, another person answers and gives me the information I was asking to begin with. Not done yet. I finally check in and get on the plane, plane was gorgeous and flight attendants for most part were very hard working. Half the people on this flight were idiots, loud, arrogant, dirty and bathrooms even after a couple hours in flight were dirty, urine on the floor, clogged up sinks. Absolutely disgusting!!!! Looking for flights from the New York City's Manhattan area (Financial district), there are a few airports nearby like JFK, EWR, LaGuardia. I decided to book a flight, recently, with JetBlue on a nonstop flight from Newark Liberty International Airport to Orlando International Airport, and it was a great experience! It was my first time flying out of Newark Liberty, and I booked the late night nonstop flight departing around 9:00 PM because I needed to get to Orlando for race day packet pickup for the RunDisney Springtime Surprise 2026 race. It worked out perfectly, but I did get to the hotel around 1:30 A.M though! There were a lot of open seats available on the flight! Having some extra space on a late night trip made the journey much more comfortable and relaxed! Boarding was smooth and fast! The service was also fantastic. The flight attendants were friendly, and attentive throughout the flight, even though it was a later departure! The flight itself was smooth, and before I knew it, I was arriving in Orlando Florida! This was an excellent JetBlue experience. Comfortable flight, plenty of open seats, great service, and the convenience of a nonstop route from Newark to Orlando. Abandoned at the wrong airport with zero support. JetBlue's motto of "bringing humanity back to travel" is a joke. On January 18th, my family of four (including two children) was left stranded at the airport for over four hours with zero communication, zero transparency, and ultimately, zero way home. ​After a massive delay, JetBlue dropped us at a different airport than our ticketed destination. Instead of providing the ground transportation or the assistance required, they essentially abandoned us. We were forced to pay for our own Uber just to get home after being ignored by staff for hours. ​To make matters worse, their "customer service" is a ghost town. I waited on hold for an eternity, requested a callback, and when they finally called--they hung up on me. ​They have lost a loyal family of customers. I've been flying every couple of months on JetBlue and I still really like them. Once on board you can control what you watch or listen to. I love using the app to book my flights, get my seat assignment and decide what level I want to pay for when it comes to my ticket. The staff is always very friendly, especially when you're on board. When you fly JetBlue you get free movies, free TV, free music, free Wi-Fi, a free nonalcoholic drink,and snack. .. They are serving alcohol again, and there is a charge and you must use a credit card whether you purchase food, drinks, earphones, blankets, pillows etc. You don't get all the riffraff like when you fly Spirit Airlines. Passengers are normally very quiet and they know how to handle their children so they're not unruly. I love that they board people very quickly and if there's no backup at Newark, you can get out immediately. Sometimes there's an occasional delay but that problem has to do with Newark Airport and not having enough Air Traffic Controllers and too many planes departing and arriving. Sometimes the pilot can make up time in the air. I also love that JetBlue is in the new terminal A and not terminal C, which is the international terminal and a pain in the neck to get in and out of. The world has gone mad and jet blue has joined the list. How do a company not have a better screening process when hiring staff. Its as if they don't care about their customers. A senior flight attendant named Craig must have been having a bad day/week/life. We left Cancun to Newark. He was grumpy and curt the entire flight. When we landed, I pushed past a guy in the isle, who was dilly dallying. Craig's reaction was to approach the guy and asked him four times if he should call the police because I assaulted him. It was ridiculous and I thought nothing of it. I approached the man at the luggage carousel and he said it was nothing forget about it. He also told me Craig solicited him three more times to get the police involved before he left the airplane. I was having a medical issue and that's why I needed to get off the plane. Though I have used JetBlue for other trips out of EWR I have only traveled to MCO. When you have United ruling the skies out of EWR it is great to have any other option and JetBlue is a great one for this purpose. Terminal A is pretty quiet where they fly out of. Service has been consistent and basically on time as well. It feels like they give more of a heads-up for delays than United ever did. Flying into Terminal C at MCO is a joy. If you have only flown United to Orlando then trying JetBlue on this point alone is a huge upgrade. No, you are not going to get business class. Yes, it seems like everything you touch is another added charge. This is the way they work and so far it is 100x better than United for at least this travel leg. read more

And there is my personal favorite, the way that they make it literally impossible to find out how to do anything on their web sites (change a flight, add a checked bag, whatever). Or if you do finally learn the magic series of clicks, you ultimately get told, "the process you are requesting cannot be completed online." Which sets you up for an hour-long phone hold. With someone who can't or doesn't help you. NOT JET BLUE. Pretty simple, intuitive web interface. Then when I really did need to do something that couldn't be done online, I spent about TWO SECONDS on hold. At that point, I found myself talking to a nice, fluent-English-speaking agent who knew exactly what to do, and fixed my problem. I shouted "It's a miracle!" Bonjour... First time flying out from Terminal A at Newark Liberty in a long time. Despite the fact having a reserved TSA check-in at 5am, my partner and I waited on the regular line only 20 minutes as we arrived earlier than expected. The agent had to move us to a new screening line closer to the gate as more passengers were arriving and the current at a stand still. However, there was another 10 minute wait until the rest of the TSA staff arrived to move the conveyor belt with our carry on. At 605am, there was only one concession (Abica Coffee) open with a long line serving hot coffee. Instead of waiting, we opted for some cold sandwiches from Hudson News. One of the worst experiences I've had flying. There are also many hidden costs. If you book economy, they make you check in your bags for $50 per bag. They also charge $159 per person to select preferred seats if you want to select your seats prior to you flight. The trip we took ended up costing an extra $200 as a result. Our flight was supposed to be 5.5 hours but turned into an 8.5 hour flight as they had to change airports cause they were running out of fuel. As a result we missed most of my cousin's wedding rehersal dinner. Not worth the hassle just to gain a little extra leg room. I will not be flying this airline in the future read more

My only complaint is the Mint check in line was supplementing the check in for D.R. Travelers. There was a bit of a wait. B6 needs the new terminal at EWR; too many flights not enough gates and room. The Mint product they operate to LAX is very nice. If you gotta go to work, go in style! read more

I was boarding with my family was helping a member of my family board and I was told I could bring my personal carry on and the other persons carry on, onto the flight (we had separate boarding groups so we could not board together). Highly shocked to have read so many negative reviews here! My family and I must of been lucky on our last trip because we had a very smooth flight. As you arrive, you are to check in your bags. I recommend downloading the app to make the check in process a bit easier. Using the app you can also pick your seating. Since I waited last minute to check in I didn't have the seating option. The others traveling with us did their seating choice and got to sit together, two in front of one another. After checking in luggages, passing security, whom by the way was nice and friendly with our kids, we approached a worker at the gate. We requested to be seated together. The staff member apologized and expressed how the system already generated our seats. Couldn't complain regardless because our seats were in the same row right next to each other. In the terminal there isn't that many food options as I've seen in other airports. Here you'll find your basics of sandwiches, sweets and drinks. Entering the plane was rather quick. Took a flight on 9/24. Purchased a seat for more leg room. 30 min into flight a guy takes an empty seat in my row from his regular fare seat. Flight attendant does not ask him to pay for this seat or go back to his assigned seat. I called jet blue and asked to be compensated. The waiting area is not too bad. There are plenty of seats and so many food choices. There is a center area where the gates are surrounding all of the snack shops. The prices are ridiculously high but then, they have a captive audience once you are through security. Jet Blue and Southwest share the space and the Southwest seats are newer and more comfortable. Better to sit there while waiting for the Jet Blue fight to board. There is an ATM centrally located and the bathrooms are just as you enter the waiting area. Flying JetBlue as a long time customer out of Newark Airport only to be told that the same bag that I took on the way up from Fort Lauderdale is overweight on the way home. Nothing new in the bag. I guess things weigh more in Newark? JetBlue you really need to spend some time and money looking into your team at Newark airport as well as your equipment because I smell a scam. From an airline that has always focused on customer experience I expect more. Morning check in Terminal A for the 10:10am flight to LAX. Attempted to speak to one of the three women behind the rope, she would not acknowledge me or my travel friends. We were not given assigned seatings and we just wanted to request assistance and guidance. The associated were busy socializing, laughing and not attentive to the customers. My group Consisted of two couples and we wanted to make sure we could be seated with our spouses. It was very disheartening to deal with this type of situation and not even be acknowledged. I understand that flying is a mode of transportation and isn't necessarily the most comfortable thing that's ever been. I normally don't take any issue with flights, since I understand the crew is working hard and there are so many moving parts, but my most recent experience with JetBlue really left a bad taste in my mouth. We flew JetBlue from Newark to Boston, which was amazing - only a 40 minute flight! Our flight was delayed by 2 hours, which I completely understand happens - and we were alerted in a timely fashion, so my issue isn't with that. My complaint is more directed at the actual airplane. We were on a smaller plane, and it was in total disrepair. We got to our seats, and they were stained with dirt and debris, the seat backs were falling apart and shredded, and there was even trash stuffed in the air vent. I'm not a frequent JetBlue customer, and unfortunately I cannot see myself selecting this airline in the future if given an option. read more

What a shame to give a brand I've always loved such a low rating. I have flown out of EWR/JFK/LGA nearly 7 times this year and 3 of those being Newark resulted in a complete and utter disaster. At JFK, it's all about the customer experience/the brand/the shopping with top notch dining/fast-food options. At LGA, it's a quick and no frills newly renovated terminal, so nice and secluded. At Newark, your dining options are limited, but more importantly- ALL JETBLUE PLANES are in need of serious TLC/Revamp. I haven't flown an old Jetblue plane in years. Twice this month, I got on 4 planes that must have been from their first fleet in '97/98?? Tray tables dirty, broken plastic parts, gum in my little puke bag (gross), Internet was down on 2/4 flights, Dunkin coffee was iced cold on my last leg and they were sold out of 2/5 snack boxes. Hello, my flight was at 1230pm. 4/4 flights delayed anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour and 20 minutes, WHAT?!? Alaska Airlines FYI I've been arriving up to an hour earlier, but I love JetBlue- I even have the credit card. The only reason I'm flying out of Newark is because I moved out of Manhattan and it's the default option. I used to fly out of Newark years ago and I never had any problems. The last two years, HORRID! If you're going to fly out of Newark and expect the True Blue experience, in my luck I haven't had it. Plus, TSA at Newark is a breed of its own. Friday, August 13th flying through JetBlue Newark. This is the worst, most possible experience I have ever had with an airline. Flight 227 scheduled to leave at 7:35 PM and currently delayed until 7:20 AM 8/14. First it was a 2 hour delay. Then another 3 then another 2. We then are able to board at 3 AM! Everyone settles in quietly and quickly even with the waiting and it's OVEN HOT in the plane that had NO GAS and they keep us there for A WHOLE HOUR to tell us that we have to get off because of a broke valve. Then make us wait for the next crew to come which is around 6am. The excuses are uncanny. There's no pilots or that it has something to do with luggage or another plane is on the way up here. Now Jet Blue in Newark has some great things going for it but being on time and problem free is not one of them. They had five flights departing on a clear evening in New Jersey and five flights were delayed. So you want to give them the benefit of the doubt but stranding people for seven plus hours in a cramped old terminal in Newark with no restaurant options pass security lines that were horrendously short staffed already, and a flooded with people concession area of Hudson news & Auntie Pretzels etc is not going to do it. They should be more responsive to people's needs. They seem to try to problem solve using Canada Air's gates to ease departures and arrivals but but then switch gates multiple times in one flight. This causing crowds to move terminals and disabled and old people difficulties. They created a lot of stress for people. They were delayed for weather, being short on crew, waiting on crew from JFK, plane sitting for awhile never got cleaned, delay for cleaning, plane sitting never got fueled, fuel delay etc etc. By the time you leave you are not left with a good taste in your mouth. Jet Blue needs to think ahead, if four flights are messed up try to keep the fifth on track so you don't lose faith of all passengers. I still rated them three stars despite this madness because "Lisbeth" the gate agent was their saving grace. I didn't need much help but those that did got help from her. She answered questions, made announcements to inform, dealt with unruly and angry passengers and did do without even a slight bit of anger herself. One passenger went off, shaking a finger clear up to her face and yelling at her. She was calm and collected. She should be commended by Jet Blue. She is a keeper for them. The JFK based crew that came in were very good. Nice people and once all the delays were handled got the plane up and going. When flying in and out of Newark Airport this is my airline of choice. One of the top reasons this is a major hub for them and I can see my family in NJ as well as it is a very quick flight to Boston. What does that mean for you many flights and choices. In fact on one of my last times flying through here they were even able to get me on an earlier flight home. Best news no extra expense to me and who doesn't love getting on an earlier flight. Newark Airport and Jet Blue is a winning combination as it is very easy to check in and print your boarding pass. Than you take the escalator down to the gates. Very short distance between the two. Once on the security line it moves quickly. Than once on the other side there is ample seating area while waiting for your flight. Luckily I have not experienced any delays and the ground crew quickly boards the planes. Like most airlines if you got this far and still have a carry on bag they will offer to check in at this point and no extra expense to you. On board the plane and once seated you will notice the differences that make Jet Blue great free movies,tv and music just don't forget to bring your headsets. Also what truly sets them apart is the refreshments large variety of drinks and snacks. Both to buy by credit card onboard or free non alcoholic drinks and bagged chips and cookies.
