I've passed this place so many times and now have finally gave it a try! After a nice long walk I needed a refreshing beverage since it was a hot and sunny day and this place caught my eye. Menu was extensive and had plenty of options! So many options making it hard for me to pick what I wanted. Couldn't decide if I wanted one of the best sellers Ube Pistachio, a rose milk tea, a matcha...Ended up going with the rose milk tea with light ice and no toppings for my first visit. The drink was yummy, I've had better rose milk tea but I was satisfied and it was tasty. I give a 3.5 stars but round up as the location is large, good menu options with food and drink, accessible to bus stops, and my drink was good so I will round up to 4 stars. The cons are a lot of flies, especially in the bathroom. Dead flies in the bathroom soap, flying in your face in the bathroom, lobby has clean tables but dusty floors and windows with many dead fruit flies, large flies, and insects. More than 20 dead flies. Luckily in the lobby they don't fly in your face like the bathroom. I notice the front door states to customer please keep it closed so maybe some it is the area and out of their control? I still sat inside for a while and finished my drink in lobby to stay out of the sun for a bit and so did other groups. Staff was hard working. Seemed a lot of online food orders they needed to complete and that they prioritized. I was in the area for lunch and found Tea Addicts to be the only boba shop in the area. It smelled like fresh fried food when I walked in, always a nice aroma. Phoenix Milk Tea, 50% Sweet, 50% Ice w/ Boba ($6.50) - The tea is pretty good, perfectly sweetened at 50%, with a nice oolong fragrance. The creamer is complementary, adding body but not overwhelming the flavor of the tea. Half ice is appropriate; there's enough to entirely cool down the drink and just a couple more small cubes on top to keep it cool. The boba is of a smaller variety, probably about half way in between a mini boba and the typical size. They unfortunately have a number of nooks and crannies around the surface and are bit too firm, resulting in a chew that isn't quite there versus the competition. The pearls do have a nice sweetness, being honey soaked, which also lends softer, more velvety layer on the most exterior portion. Milk Tea Rating: 4.5/5 Boba Rating: 3.5/5 Overall I found the drink to be pretty good. I wish the boba was a bit better in texture, but Tea Addicts is a surprisingly solid boba shop, and the only one within walking distance of Roosevelt station. There was no one here when we arrived. Cashier was really nice! We ordered jasmine milk tea and classic milk tea both with boba. We loved both our drinks! Drink was very tasty! Jasmine was floral and refreshing and classic milk tea was one of the better tasting classic teas I've had. Boba was soft and chewy. 1st time seeing a non-dairy (soy) crema! I'd give the soy crema itself a 7/10 relative to dairy creamas, but 9/10 for the fact that it's non-dairy and they managed to make one!!! Good flavor, but was slightly more foamy than creamy in the way that it essentially melted into the drink halfway through. But would still recommend it for non-dairy folks who want to try crema!!! ***BEST POPCORN CHICKEN*** That I've ever had at a boba shop ! It was juicy and tasty and the perfect amount of spice ! The only thing I could say was that having sauce options would've made it that much better. The royal tea was good and so was their crystal boba. It's a little pricey for me to say it's GREAT (~$7). There was only one worker there but the service was relatively quick and all of our food came out fresh! The popcorn chicken and fries here are great. We live in the area and have been waiting for this place to open. It finally did and we saw that they had a BOGO deal so we stopped by. Tea Addicts is located on the first floor at Centerline Apartments. There is limited street parking but it's conveniently located a couple blocks away from the Roosevelt light rail station. We got the hokkaido milk tea ($5) with 50% sweetness and pudding ($0.75). At first it tasted a little watered down but as we continued drinking it the flavors settled in and they came out more. We also got the mango blended yogurt ($6.50) with 50% sweetness. It was super thick at first which made it harder to sip but it got more liquidy as it went on. You can taste some of the mango flavor but not as strong as the Greek yogurt flavor. I think the drink was supposed to have mango bits in it but it didn't so I was a little disappointed. One thing we noticed was that the line for ordering overlapped with the line for pickup. People had to wade through the people in line to grab their orders which occasionally caused a traffic jam. We did have to wait a while for our drinks but that was a combination of there being a lot of people and just a newly-opened business' growing pains. Had a fantastic dinner at Ong Lam close by, still wanted to catch up and talk about politics afterwards with the homie so found a place that would let us sit as long as we buy something of course, looked up boba spots and Tea Addicts was only minutes away and still open. We also are not in this area often so wanted to try a new place that's not a franchise, Tea Addicts it was. Due to the heavy dinner and limited daily calorie consumption, didn't felt like ordering anything with balls, just a plain Thai iced tea. God, I love Thai iced tea. Came here with a couple of friends the other night, and the place was pretty empty. Something felt off while in there, but I realised it was because there wasn't any music or anything playing, so it was very quiet in there. I ordered their Mango Yogurt w/ Crystal Boba with 50% sweetness, and I thought it was really good! It was nice and smooth, and it was quite flavourful. I'm down to try their other drinks to some other time. My friend also got the Phoenix drink, but I think they said it was just mediocre, nothing special. Service was slower than I expected when I saw three employees working (10 to 15 minutes for our two drinks, and two beverages were served before ours) staff were kind and overall we enjoyed our experience! Stopped by on a Saturday night. Interior design is very modern and minimalist, plenty of seating, wifi, and a couple of outlets. Looks like you can also check a few board games out as well! Service was fast as well. We got the Phoenix Oolong Tea and Jasmine Tea, both with 25% sweetness. I think this was one of the few places that truly made it 25% sweetness, so props to them. Phoenix tea was pretty good, but the jasmine tea was waaaayyyy too bitter. Their crystal boba had a slight sweetness to it, which was nice! The aesthetics of their cups were nice! I didn't expect much from this place that is empty every day I pass by. Even after awkwardly sitting alone for a couple of hours, I realized they get A LOT of online/delivery orders and not so much in-store customers. And the quality of food/drinks shows. There's only two boba shops in Roosevelt, but Tea Addicts is the clear winner. Stopped in for the first time today. The nice young lady working, I think her name was Ula, let us know that their homemade boba balls were still being made but made a whole bunch of other suggestions that we could try instead. I ordered the jasmine with oat milk and grass jelly. Delicious! I catered it to also be 50% sweetness. Love that I can make all these adjustments to my drink. Went to Tea Addicts because I heard they had free parking and I've been looking for new boba spots to study at! Parking - They have street parking and lot parking but both are 2 hours maximum. For the street parking, it's 2 hours max Monday-Friday 7am-7pm, but weekends is unlimited! I found this to be super helpful and got to stay for a while studying. Ambiance - They have plenty of seating and a modern interior. The tables along the window have outlets which is super nice if you're looking for a spot to get work done. They do play music and it can be a little loud, but I was able to tune it out with earphones just fine. I came on a Saturday morning at opening until around 2:30pm and they weren't too busy where it was hard to concentrate. Service - They workers were really nice and very attentive to any questions customers had. Drinks - I got the Jasmine Milk Tea with boba, 75% sweet and 50% ice. I enjoyed the floral taste of the tea, but I found the drink to be a bit more watered down tasting to my liking. I am not sure if it's a result of the milk they are using - the drink wasn't as creamy as other boba spots in Seattle. It also tasted like they sweetened with honey which I found to be unique! The boba was also okay, I thought it would have been nice if the boba was flavored with honey or brown sugar. I don't think I would personally get this drink again, but maybe try one of their black milk teas or other drinks. Drinks also seem to be a bit on the pricier side, I paid a bit over $7. Congratulations on the new location! I was scrolling Instagram one day and saw an ad about this shop with a new location grand opening BOGO free weekend. Boba I haven't tried AND a great grand opening deal? Count me in! The location that I went is located on the first floor of the Centerline Apartment Complex. There's only street parking but usually difficult to find as there area a ton of other apartment complexes around that probably don't have parking structures? I was very intrigued by the barista choice: Phoenix Tea with Soy Crema. I asked the worker what kind of tea it was, and he mentioned that it was an oolong tea with a note of floral like jasmine tea. Intrigued but kind of skeptical whether I would like it, I ordered that with 75% sweetness and also Oolong Milk Tea with Soy Crema with 50% sweetness. I enjoyed both drinks VERY much! I could taste the differences in oolong flavor which I enjoyed very much. The Phoenix tea wasn't as florally as jasmine tea but definitely had a distinct flavor compared to the regular oolong tea, which I surprisingly really really liked! It was just a bit too sweet for me so off it goes to my boyfriend LOL. The oolong milk tea was also really good! Really nice balance in the drink. There was more tea distinction than creaminess which I really liked. The soy crema was also a winner too! In between a kinako roastiness and cheese cream saltiness. Sooo good! We went back the next day and got the Brûlée Milk Tea with 50% sweetness and Hokkaido Milk Tea with soy crema and 75% sweetness. The brûlée foam wasn't too sweet which I liked and it was a nice combination of the milk tea, which was not as strong of a tea flavor as the oolong brews. It was def lacking in this one. It was watery but the brûlée foam made it better! The Hokkaido milk tea was also kind of light too. Definitely loving the soy crema with it (and the other drinks). Grand opening weekend, and the drinks (especially the oolong brews) have already wow'd me. Can't imagine how their drinks would be without the crazy rush. Was really looking forward to this place since it was so close to where I live. Was astounded by the variety of teas on their menu, especially their milk teas, but was feeling a fruit drink so I ordered a strawberry tea with lychee jelly (just called jelly at their shop). Although we were the only ones there it took quite a bit for our drinks to come. Appearance wise nothing seemed out of the ordinary, but it simply tasted watered down. Not sour or sweet from the strawberries, not bitter from the tea just nothing. Even the lychee jelly was bland. I ordered the Hokkaido milk tea with 50% sweetness and less ice and it was delicious. Not too sweet, and with a prominent tea flavor that is often lost in milk teas. My friend ordered the Phoenix milk tea with soy crema and also enjoyed it. Despite it being bustling, service was friendly and prompt. There's a lot of indoor seating and the space inside is clean and modern looking. This would be a nice place to sit and read or get some work done. I love this boba place! My boyfriend and I have come ever weekend this last month trying the drinks. Every single one has been delicious. My personal favorite is the matcha brûlée. It is perfectly blended and the brûlée is so creamy. Not too sweet! My boyfriend has tried every flavor of the blended yogurts, his favorite is the mango. He adds boba and the texture of the boba is perfect. Doesn't freeze up and so QQ! Highly recommend. The staff are all very nice as well.
