I have driven by this place often since I live pretty close by. I decided to finally pop in. I liked this inside of the store as it was filled with plenty of decoration which helped to make it feel inviting. There were even games available to play if you wanted which would make it fun to hang out there. Since I had never been before, I decided to go with a traditional brown sugar milk. The employee at the register was nice and patient and even helped make a recommendation on the fact that I should go with regular boba pearls over the brown sugar ones they had available. The drink itself was not bad! The sweetness and flavor hit the spot. There wasn't as much customization here as there are at other boba places though. Overall a pretty solid spot! read more

Decent drinks! Basic boba, tasty! Cute little shop with nice vibes. The staff is patient but not overly friendly. My kids love this place but I'm iffy about it. The biggest frustration is them not being there when they say that they will be open. More than a half dozen times i have gone by and this be the case. I saw this new boba shop while shopping in the area and decided to stop inside for a sweet drink. Osmanthus Oolong Milk Tea, 50% Sweet, 50% Ice w/ Brown Sugar Boba ($6) - I was expecting this to be oolong brewed with osmanthus flowers, but it's oolong with osmanthus syrup. Still, it exhibits a good sweet flowery and somewhat fruity flavor that somewhat covers up the oolong taste. The amount of additives isn't enough to make the drink taste artificial or chemically, instead it's a nice, but heavily, floral. The ice level is good at 50%, which cools down the drink fully and leaves a couple of ice cubes left floating on top. The sweetness is also pretty balanced at half that allows a bit of a bitterness from the tea to make its way through the osmanthus. The brown sugar boba has a good sweetness level on the exterior thanks to the brown sugar soak. They are strangely not circular at all and instead are almost cuboid in shape, with several flat surfaces on each pearl. The exterior of the pearls are smooth and when my teeth bite through, it feels far too rubbery and leathery in texture and I can almost hear a squeaky sound emanating through my mouth. This does mean that the boba has plenty of bounce, but it's not an entirely enjoyable bounce thanks to the firm leathery-like nature. It's more similar in texture to fresh cheese curds than to traditional boba and I feel like the starch mixture is perhaps adulterated with something other than tapioca flour. Milk Tea Rating: 4/5 Boba Rating: 2.5/5 It's very interesting reading the reviews on this place, with some reviewers complaining about the boba being pebble-like and others complaining that the boba is too soft and disintegrates in the mouth. These are very different ends of the boba texture spectrum, so I guess Boba House really has some work to do to get the consistency down. On a positive note, the owner is exceptionally friendly and welcoming, and the boba is on the cheaper end for the city. read more

Been here for a few times and finally find my favorite combo--black milk tea with brown sugar boba and topped with sea salt foam, 50% sugar. It tastes like home ;) I think they have one of the best brown sugar bobas in Seattle, perfectly cooked, perfectly chewy, and well balanced sweetness. I can't tell you how much I hate undercooked bobas that are solid on the inside or the overcooked bobas that turn into a slimy party. The owner seems nice friendly and knows what they are doing, I'm happy to have a boba place that's near me. read more

Came here last week with my girlfriend after spending the afternoon up north and we wanted to try out new boba place. Aside from the ones we already been to before, Boba House was the next in line that popped up for us. Getting into the parking can be tricky with how small it is, so be warned about that. Coming inside, the interior wasn't anything special. I can tell they tried their best to decorate the inside, but somehow it still felt very desolate maybe because of how blank the walls were by the kitchen station. Perhaps some wall art or logo would fill up the space better. For the boba I ordered their Green Thai Tea. It was pretty tasty as the flavour was prominent compared to what my girlfriend got which wasn't as good. While the drink itself was nice, the boba needs a lot more work. Like many others who have commented, their tapioca pearls were too chewy with no bounce at all. One bite of the pearls and it just dispersed into squishy pieces that weren't very pleasant. I think Boba House has potential, but they need to work more on perfecting their pearls and maybe spruce up the space. Other than that, if I was in the area I would still visit for the Green Thai Tea. read more

In contrast to Brian's experience, when I went this week, I found the Boba to be slightly overcooked. I got the "strawberry milk" and was correct that it was not a literal strawberry milk, but I was not expecting it to taste so much like a dairy free strawberry tea. Somehow it was both too sweet and somewhat bitter. I plan on going back to try it again, but next time I will try the black milk tea. Thanks Ariel B for posting yesterday about Boba House. I decided to check it out earlier today (8/10/24). Boba House is located near 145th & 15th at the Seattle/Shoreline border, between Starbucks and Subway. Just exercise caution with their tight shared parking lot and the SBUX unidirectional drive through. Very bright, pleasant decor. Welcoming for all ages with onsite seating. Saw a chess board and items of interests for the littles. Welcoming counter staff. I ordered an iced black milk tea (oolong) with brown sugar boba for takeout. It was refrigerated at home and sampled by both me and The Homie three hours later. Delicious on point prep including the brown sugar boba pearls. I'm happy to see Boba House in soft opening mode in North Seattle, near Shoreline. Boba spots are usually concentrated in Seattle's Chinatown/International District, Capitol Hill, and University District. Looking forward to check out beverage offerings from their menu. read more

Cute new business alert! The moment you step through the doors, you'll feel the playful, relaxed atmosphere when looking at the decor. You'll see florals, 80's decals, adorable plushies, large mirror, and a retro chic phone for photo ops. The business sits between the Starbucks and Subway. We ordered green tea with bursting mango boba (super yummy and not the typical boba texture. A burst of juice in each bite). We added no sugar to the green tea since the boba is very sweet. Kiddo ordered the strawberry boba with brown sugar boba - unfortunately this was a No. The strawberry flavor tasted very odd - artificial or plastic-y. she didn't finish it. She loved the brown sugar boba. My Taro boba was delicious. I was worried it would be overly sweet, but it wasn't and balanced perfectly with the regular boba. Next time I'll try this with the brown sugar boba. The regular texture boba was a bit off but still edible. Some were hard, others chewy. We shall return to try the many other items on the menu. The slushy and mojitos sound refreshing. I'm happy to have them in the neighborhood, and enjoyed meeting the friendly staff. There are some good aspects to this place - their staff is friendly and start making my order before I've even placed it because they remember me. Their Thai iced tea is very good too. However, today was the third time that I've arrived to find a note on the door that says, "Be back soon". There is no telling how soon "soon" is so I've left to go elsewhere. Today when I arrived, the same "Be back soon" note was taped to the front door. I decided to go across the street to QFC and pick up a few items to give their employees time to return. I was probably gone for 15 minutes. The note was still on the door when I returned. Sadly, this will be the last time I go as there is no guarantee it will be open, nor any indication when they might reopen when they are closed during business hours. read more

Yeah, another new Boba place in shoreline. Very friendly service, the parking is kind of small so plan ahead of time, cute interior design, and nice atmosphere for a date or catch up with friends. I hate to be the downer on Boba House and its new opening, but the boba ain't great. It was actually horrible and almost impossible to enjoy. My dad and I wanted to check this place out in Shoreline, and it looked promising. It was decked out in cutesy decor and seemed very cute in an anime kind of way. My dad and I ordered a slushee and oolong milk tea, respectively, and added boba to our drinks. The drink flavor was fine. Good even. But the boba itself? Hard, tough, and just plain wrong. We guess that they were cooked then shoved in a freezer or fridge, and then plopped into our drinks like little pebbles. And it was like chewing on pebbles - our jaws were hurting from all the strained chewing. We were both so disappointed and were actually a fuming with our drinks. If you want to work on your jawline, then by all means, this may be the place for you. Maybe I came at a bad time or bad day, but holy cow, this was a crime in itself. Unless they change up their boba and its consistency, this is a hard pass for me. Which is sad, since we would love new boba places in the Greenwood/Shoreline neighborhood. read more

Really yummy drinks! I'm from San Francisco and had my favorite boba spots, and this place is on the same level. The brown sugar boba is SO SOFT and sweet, and their Thai tea is very flavorful. I do think their regular boba is a little tough. Service is always friendly and I was even able to get a sample. They also have games you can play in the seating area. read more

I really wanted to like this place, but it seems that this place struggles to get the fundamentals right. The tapioca pearls were way too soft for me--it had barely any integrity. Stop by Boba House today to check them out. This one is located on 14359-125th Ave NE . Well location has parking, but they share with Starbucks and Subway. So parking can be very limited dues to it is small and tight. I ordered (2) drinks and mine is the Mango. It comes with lime and mango juice. I added the boba into this drink. It was too bad, kinda good. Price is a little high but as long as it is good really don't matter. So far this drink is tasty. Other mango drink are made with powder, but this isn't. So it is different, but still tasty. read more

My favorite type of Boba drinks are slushies! It's actually hard to find boba slushies with good flavor + texture, but Boba House has my stamp of approval. I love how thick the blended ice was, and it stayed cold in the plastic cup instead of melting and watering down like many other slushies I've tried. I added passionfruit jelly - the consistency was to my liking, and very sweet/flavorful. The staff was nice, and the decor inside was really cute. Tables were also neat and tidy when I came in. I definitely want to come back and try some of their energy drinks or mojitos! I probably will avoid coming during typical busy days/hours just because the parking situation is cramped being next to Starbucks and Subway. Also pulling out at that intersection can be really tricky. If not in a rush, I would advise parking at the grocery store across the street and walking over. read more

Super cute new boba place! I've gone several times to try out their drinks and all I've tasted are good. Personal favorite is the green Thai tea which tastes almost identical to a normal Thai iced tea, but slightly more refreshing and light. Strawberry milk tea very delicious as well. Mojitos are fizzy and good with popping boba. Owner is very nice and cares a lot about the quality of drinks as well as experience in the shop.
