I've visited this Jewel-Osco location a few times. I recently went today (8/15/26) and had a decent experience. Me, my best friend, and her mom went to grab a few things. I went to self check out while my best friend went to the express lane. My best friend finished her transaction way before I did. There's 4 self checkout registers and someone needed help and no one was there to help out another customer. There were lots of sales going on. My new obsession is the brownie cookies which were on sale. Jewel Osco cookies hit different! They even had some other random stuff on clearance. It wasn't super busy and a decent amount of parking when we arrived, but when we left, there were more people that came out of nowhere. I guess that's shopping for groceries on a Saturday for you. The music was played at a good volume. It felt cold at some parts of the store. I'd come back to this location if I'm ever in the area. read more

What's with the parking lot lights, they are horrible. The store could use a remodel or a deep clean. The employees weren't friendly probably because they were to busy talking to each other. The manager is not friendly nor are his front desk employees. read more

Was shopping around the deli station when I overheard a conversation between two employees. The women had asked a question to her coworker, in which he started to raise his voice at the female employee, directing her away from him. The young women seemed flustered by the attitude of her coworker. I got a closer look at the male employee whose name was Jakub. He seemed very unprofessional with how he was speaking to her when she had asked him a question. Over the times I've visited this jewels, I've constantly seen this male employee treat his other coworkers with no respect, which is sad to see that this jewels continuously let him talk to other employees in such a horrible manner. The young lady has always served me with a positive attitude along with a smile. Shame on you Jakub! read more

This Jewel location has come a long way since the new manager took over. Almost all sale items are available most days. The store is clean and the checkout lines move quickly. The associates at the deli are always nice and ready to help. In the past I avoided this location but it is now my go to. As far as expired product, that happens in every large store not just this Jewel. read more

If I could give zero stars I would. I've never once had even a decent experience here. If it isn't the expired food, it's almost always the rude employees. There's never ever an employee at the meat or cake counter, and when you do find someone they act like you're bothering them. Today the was the last straw. I clipped the coupons for the 1 dollar strawberries and 2.99 blackberries. When I got in line I couldn't add the clipped coupons and she told me that's why I'm supposed to do that home. I said sorry but I ran into the store last minute for the fruit. What got me is that after I clipped them, the discount didn't show on the register and was showing 4 dollars more for each item,..I told her I clipped them. I had my two young daughters with me watching this employee be belligerently rude to me because the coupons didn't show on her register. She then pulled out the ad at this point there's a line behind us and I'm sorry but people are frustrated and I hate to be that person so at this point I'm not sure what to do. I went into the store to get the fruit and I just want the discount. She looks at the ad and tells me that she can't find the blackberries on sale and that they're not on sale. I tell her that they are on a large table right when you walk in with a big sign of the discounted blackberries with the digital coupon and that I clipped the coupon.. She then asks another employee if the blackberries are on sale after I just told her they were ....that employee also told her they were on sale .... She then looks back at the ad and says well I don't see them in here. They're not on sale and then I proceed to tell her yes they are and she says can you show me them on the phone ...so then I pull them up on my phone and I put my phone in front of her and say here you...go she then grabs my phone and says OK at this point I'm literally embarrassed... not only after another employee told her and myself and showing her the coupon did she finally go on the register and magically give me the discount. She was rude the entire time! I don't understand how this store is in business still. My nine year literally asked me when we left, why was that lady so mean! I felt she would not have bothered to give someone else such a hard time. I'll keep spending my money at Aldi and Pete's from now on. read more

Last time I shopped here that man was making so many announcements, then an associate pages him, his response? More announcements! Probably to annoy the associate. I just ran into jewel to get milk. Just milk. Should be in and out of there quickly. So I thought. I went to the express lane cause the regular lanes were very busy. There was a lady checking out in the so called Express lane (15 items or less)with a cart full of stuff. A lot lot more 15. At least 30 or more items. Everyone behind her had a few items and had to wait forever. Can management please tell the cashier's to tell customers they can't use the express lane for big loads like that because it is not fair to us people who come in for a few items. read more

Shoppers beware ! I never used to look at expiration dates but after buying products that were a month old I do now ! I even brought this up to a worker (could have been the mgr) and he pulled the bacon off the shelf. When I came back next week, the bacon was put back. How about Cheerios expired 2 years ago ? Yep, I bought them not even looking at the expiration date. How about organic tomato juice ? best by 2 months ago. And it's still there on the shelves . If it were up to me, I'd seriously fire some people there. read more

Best pharmacy!! I experienced the best customer service coming to this pharmacy. A young white lady with blonde hair was very nice, friendly and helpful. This Jewel is always out of items that are on sale. Also the frozen section always has frost bitten items and freezers that are always leaking. They think the fix is to put paper towels on the floor to soak up the water. This is years this is happening and the Manager Smo just laughs when you bring it to his attention. He also says to go shop somewhere else if you don't like it. Jewel must be proud of this incompetent manager and terrible service by his underlings. read more

Although this location is my neighborhood store, I only stop at this location when I'm pressed for time. My husband and I, as well as a few of our neighbors have openly complained to management about stocking/ordering issues. The main complaint that seems to be most common among all is that when an item becomes popular, it is no longer sold at that location. During peak hours and on weekends it seems difficult for their employees to "keep up" with basic things like shelve stocking, floor cleaning and replacing baskets by the doors. Most often than not, you have to walk around to the checkout area to get a basket just to shop. I do not recommend this store location. read more

Stopped by this Jewel store after leaving the airport. It's very dirty. Just needed some milk and toiletries before heading home. Waking through the aisles there were store carts with garbage in them and perishable food that people must have left behind or didn't want. As I was leaving, my little girl needed to use the bathroom. When we walked in it was a disaster. I brought it to the attention of an employee and they said, "Yeah. Sorry about that. It's been like that all day." So basically, at least one person knew about this but nobody took the initiative to clean it up. I'd hate to see what the meat, deli, and bakery back rooms look like. read more

My rating has plummeted. While many of the things I stated in the previous review are still somewhat correct, the prices have gone up and service gone down. The only time I shop here now is when there is something in the weekly ad worth stopping for. And I NEVER purchase anything that isn't on sale. I'll happily drive to Fairplay, Tony's, or even WalMart. It's gotten just way too expensive to shop here. Service in the bakery is still pretty good. But regular employee assistance in other departments or stocking in the aisles is sometime indifferent but more often just disrespectful. On my most recent visit I asked about some English muffins that had been listed as on sale, and the guy just said "not my department" and took his stack of coffee farther down the aisle. And we have the self checkouts that were once my favorite, recently there have been issues with the four units and from scales and card readers to having incorrect prices, the wait for an associate to assist is in the minutes. This Jewel-Osco has one of the best group of people working in the Deli, Bakery, and Meat Department. While Joe and Franks has lower prices on deli goods, the service you get at this Jewel-Osco is ten times better. One day while looking at fresh loafs of bread, a lady working in the bakery came from behind the counter, and give me a warm loaf of bread. The little things like these keeps me going back for more. read more

The local Jewel, it can be crowded here. It's open twenty-four hours and closes early on some holidays. It's a clean store and staff are friendly. I just keep an eye out for sales ads because they can be pricey. read more

The pharmacy is no good. Don't leave a voicemail! I called from a providers office and left a voicemail for a new prescription. The following day they told our patient they don't have any record of it. (Of course not, bc this pharmacy is negligent). Today I called back to speak with someone. I provided all the information. At the end of the call, the girl said "is there anything else", and I said "yes, your name?" She said "Kate" then she got rude (her tone of voice changed) and she asked me my name. She was supposed to ask my name prior, not as a rebuttal after I asked hers. Clearly she was going to take the rx without knowing who I am at the providers office. I told her they should really check their voicemail system it seems there is a problem with it. Instead of acknowledging the problem/ or addressing it - she just cut me off to say bye. It seems this pharmacy is purposely disregarding voicemails or their voicemail problem. Go somewhere else, let jewel waste their money on bad employees. read more

Nicely kept Jewel compared to the other ones I've been to. Their selections of chips and cereal are pretty good, they do offer organic items if it tickles your fancy. Glad the Dominick's closed down the street because it keeps this Jewel in business, but the pharmacy lines tend to get pretty long at times. read more

This Jewel is sufficient for the things one goes to Jewel for, basic grocery items, staples, American deli stuff, etc. For the mass-market name-brand items that tend to be more expensive at independent grocery stores and supermercados, Jewel solves that problem. The meat and fish departments are dwarfed by those at supermercados, however, and there never seem to be any customers at them, which leads me to be concerned about turnover. Recently, I went in after getting the idea to make guacamole. I walked around the produce department three times, sure that I was missing something, but it wasn't the case. There is not a single fresh chile pepper to be had in this store. Not one. I hadn't realized how limited the produce section is before, since I normally go elsewhere for it. I imagine that lots of customers are driving past this Jewel to go to Pete's Fresh Market and Supermercado El Guero (where the produce is better and costs less, anyway). Have been shopping here for years.I live close by.I don't buy too much anytime I go.The most I ever spent is $80 in groceries.Im sure if I had a family to buy groceries for I sure as hell wouldn't shop here because things add up QUICK!!!! But being single helps.lol.And cashiers and stock people are always nice and helpful so I have to give them props.Was just here tonight and one of the cashiers really liked my bag so I explained where to purchase one.Always a pleasant experience FOR ME.If you DO buy alot of groceries they do alot of BUY ONE GET ONE FREE and those deals would be VERY HELPFUL.I get them myself sometimes when its something I like.I feel like I just SCORED!!! Don' go to this Jewel if you're vegan. They have NO vegan options! They have no Amy's meals and it is basically a food desert for vegans. They also regularly run out of fresh vegetables that are ready to eat. read more

I used to come here for everything I couldn't get at Costco...that will never be the case again. I went in to shop because the store used to be open 24 hours a day and was rudely told by someone who acted like an employee (but was wearing a ratty t-shirt and jeans instead of any type of uniform) that they close at 1am. He wasn't apologetic about the change but treated me like I was an idiot. In an area where there are a lot of people who don't work regular 9-5 jobs the restriction of hours makes no sense. In these crazy days of people rushing frantically to get groceries and make it out with minimal people contact, i have to acknowledge the OUTSTANDING job this Jewel is doing. I have been to the Jewel twice over the past few days in the morning. The morning store manager there has that store running top notch. The employees are all helpful and courteous and will go out of their way to look for something you need. The store is clean and again, the manager has his team working like a well oiled machine. I use to shop at this store all the time I loved it. In the last 6 months it had gone down hill. It's always dirty. The floor looks like it goes days without being mopped, the freezers are always leaking water or just not working. Sometimes I still have to go there out of convenience, today a bought an ice cream item that has only been on the market a couple months so why was the ice cream in it icey, it just just tells me the freezer must have broken and it was refrozen. I hope they work on this store and get it back to where it was a couple years ago. read more

I have been coming to this Jewel for years! This store is huge, like other Jewel-Osco locations. Another note is that this is very clean! There is something to order chicken. The chicken tenders taste really good. Their "tater babies" are good. Nice outside, and fluffy inside. The inside is a mashed potato. On the chicken tenders, nice crunchy outside and tasty inside. The groceries that are refrigerated freeze perfectly! Nothing is warm if that product is refrigerated. Also, there is very nice staff. The employees are very friendly and good to talk to. There is also Redbox at the exit of Jewel. All in all, the food that is sold from Jewel is very good, and the service is wonderful. I will be back for groceries. read more
