Drive Up and Go staff is already friendly, even if the parking spots are taken by people who can't read and are parked there without a Drive Up and Go order. However, they're often out of basic items due to the small size of the store. read more

This is our local Jewel. I always use "Just For You" specials. Today I bought a number of these "deals" only to discover I was charged full price for all despite having digitally clipped the coupons and provided my phone number. When I went to the service desk to demand a refund (of the almost $30.) I was due, I was told you now must clip the just for you coupon AND put each item in "your list" in the App. So now you must click in 2 places to get deal. How many customers have they cheated with this change in the App? It took me over half an hour to get my money refunded. Jewel needs to stop defrauding their customers! If you clip the item in the App and it shows up as being clipped in the "Just for U" you should get the sale price. read more

The worst customer service ever! I spent an hour carefully ordering groceries online via their website only to encounter technical difficulties. I called the store customer service number and I use the term "service" loosely. I was told "you can't order online at our store, we don't delivery groceries". I asked why their website would allow me to place dozens of items in a cart and checkout if they don't deliver and they said "there's something wrong with our website, what do you want ME to do about it?? I suggested they make an exception and update their website and she laughed at me. I then asked which other store delivers and again got "I don't know, try calling other locations" How can a customer service manager not know? Are they not trained? Do they not have a list of other stores and their services? See the photos here too. It clearly states they delivery groceries. They need to fire or retrain their "service" people who are rude and just don't care about their reputation. I am calling corporate tomorrow. read more

I used to shop here awhile ago when i was a teen. I knew someone who used to work here that told me about how the store really is behind its perfect looks. The bathrooms are disgusting and sometimes meat or veggies seem to always be spoiled. Having tried to return multiple items before, i was met with brash attitudes from management like they didn't care. Otherwise the only good thing i can say about this place is the staff who run the front end. They're quite a group of interesting characters to meet when you're passing through and provide great service. read more

Shopped for staples yesterday in the CAGE location. AkA: No Man's Land The store was remodeled to have the feel of a mini Whole Foods. Tighter aisles and upscaled prices galore, now. Why oh why copy someone else's image? I am not impressed. I frequent here because they are always fully stocked with 30 calorie Almond milk at a reasonable price. There are too many cluster phuk tables with crap on them near the egg section. This section also hosts the sample peeps trying to promote some new chew. Unfortunately, the guy yesterday who had a greasy green something pizza on the table was speechless and looked like he just rolled out of bed. Not impressed. Tip: This Jewel has fresh baked gourmet brownies. Delicious and lightly sweetened. The produce section looks fresher but has way way higher prices for miniature items. Have you seen the mini avocados, lemons and zucchini? The Organic lemons were priced at 69¢ each, while the non-orgasmic were 79¢ each. We bought a bag of prolly GMO for $3.99. These prices are way out of control. I recommend buying produce some where else or grow your own. Speciality aisles are everywhere now. Good luck getting back on track here. The pre-packaged bread aisle is only 9feet now. They are boosting fresh made bread choices instead. Each section from back in the day is now only 3-6 feet. They have downsized everything that was good about this location and made it into a gourmet crap stop. Three stars for always having 30 Calorie Almond Milk and Lime flavored yogurt. And, for keeping the cashiers from the mid 90's. They are the best! read more

I've been going to this Jewel for several years and am very impressed with the store. The selection in every department is good, prices are reasonable, and when the checkout backs up, they open up additional lines about as quickly as could be hoped for. The staff are conscientious and polite, even when treated rudely by snobbish clients. read more

Seafood counter employees are wonderful, produce is better than the green bay jewel. Otherwise, awful grocery store. Always terrible lines at the front, rare is the case where they call for extra back up cashiers. Today I received the worst customer service I have ever received at a grocery store. I do not have high expectations, and I have never written a complaint before. Unfortunately, after today, I will be avoiding Jewel and will never go to this location again. This store is closest to my home, and my family regularly spends about $200-$300 per week at this store. I went today to do our weekly grocery shopping, and I filled my cart with about $250 worth of groceries. It seemed to be a major inconvenience to the cashier and bagger that I had so many items. From the start, after requesting paper bags, the bagger proceeded to bag all of my groceries in plastic. As I unloaded my cart, the cashier commented on the steaks that I picked up "Ewwww, it's so bloody. Somebody else put this in a bag." They proceeded to laugh amongst each other about it and complain about how short staffed they are. After I paid, the bagger was still bagging up my groceries, and the person behind me had already completed her transaction. I stepped aside to let her through, and the bagger snapped at me "Hold on!! I'm not done yet!" After that comment, I helped him put the remaining bags in my cart, and he then said "JESUS CHRIST!" to me as he put the last 2 bags in my cart. I didn't say a word to either of them while they were checking me out, so I'm not sure where I went wrong. I told the bagger "Thank You" as I left. The service is usually average to below average at this location, but this was just abysmal. There are many grocery options nearby, so I will find a new store for my weekly shopping. Corporate representatives need to visit this store to provide some much needed customer service training. read more

Definitely a much smaller store with limited varieties. Personally, I would go to the other Wilmette Jewel-Osco just because of the quantity and variety availability. I was their during off-peak hours, so checkout was a breeze, but I can envision this place getting pretty busy and slow quickly during peak hours. Parking isn't a pain, even though it shares a lot with other establishments. read more

On my way back from suburbia this morning, I decided to pick up a few items I needed so I could go directly home. Parking was easy, but I thought the store was kind of small and did not have a great selection of many of the foods I eat (or in general). Perhaps I am spoiled by city living, but this could never be my regular grocery store. read more

I cannot believe I am reviewing a Grocery Store but my experience was so bad I must. Stopped in at 7:15 pm on Thursday night, November 3, 2016. Grabbed my items, ready to pay as I was with my child and we were hungry and long day. Got to the checkout and there were 10+ people in 1 line! Only 1 register was open!! How does this happen at 7:15 on a Thursday Night???? After standing there for 10 minutes I looked for an employee and found one stocking grapes. I told her that there was only 1 register and line was long. She stopped what she was doing and headed to see. She then proceeded to grab an additional employee who picked up the phone and stood in the office. "She's trying to get a register open." I can only interpret that she needed permission from someone above? I normally shop at Marianos, Sunset, and Whole Foods...I was aghast at the bad service. I thought the Post Office was bad, this was downright ridiculous. In addition, the store is dirty, small, and the the deli does not feel fresh. I guarantee this place will not survive. The could not do a worse job. 1 cashier on a Thursday night...NEVER EVER will I go back there. read more

Plaza Del Lago Jewel is a gem. Employees take care of the many customers, old and young and families alike, and always go above and beyond.
