Cast metal totally different, Sharp edges, prongs catch snags on everything, design is top heavy lopsided that twists and flops causes the piece to hammer on the flesh. Painful. Tight in all the wrong places caused nerve damage. Radiates pain constantly. The gem point was set too low and digs into flesh, bloody wound. Steve said "oh you will get used to it." Product is completely different than what was originally agreed upon. Then the Gem fell out of setting. Clearly It was not set properly. What was supposed to be a joyful moment turned into the Worst painful experience. Painful nerve damage Unable to wear. Steve blamed it all on me. Terrible customer service. Worst experience.

After communicating with Baleigh by email and reviewing a few sketches we settled on a curved design with 10 diamonds (for 10 years) with 4 larger ones (for our 4 kids). I agree with another review on Balefire that I never really felt like I knew what was going on in the design process, it sometimes felt like I was expected to be a gemologist/jeweler and to know much more than the average person would about the steps in designing a ring. When I went in to pick up my ring, the sapphires we selected were not green at all, and the amount of stones didn't really look right on the band. I wished I could have seen a 3D mockup of this so I would have really known what to expect rather than a drawing that quite frankly looked like it was done in MS Paint. I left the store and held the ring up in the daylight and almost none of the color in the sapphires was visible, which was the entire point of what we discussed with Balefire. I reached out to them and they told me that sapphires change a lot in the light (would have been good to know that ahead of time) but kindly offered to fix it for me with colored diamonds that would be more saturated. I pick up the ring for a second time and have to say that it was odd to be ignored by the owner and only spoken to by another woman who works there, who was incredibly nice and helpful, but it was bizarre to have the owner 3 feet away typing on a laptop acting like I didn't exist. It seemed like poor customer service to not even check in and see how things were going with the ring that we had talked so much about. After less than a month of having the wedding ring, a stone fell out while I was out at dinner with my family in Kentucky. These stones are really small and hard to keep track of, for one, and for two, now I'm away from home for a long period of time without my wedding ring that i JUST got. I couldn't and still don't understand why this ring didn't even last a month and how I'm supposed to have faith that it will hold up for the rest of my life. Once I took pictures of the ring to send to Balefire and zoomed in on the settings and the poor job that had been done, I understood why the stone fell out. I contacted the jewelers and just said frankly that I am done, do not want this ring, have no faith in Balefire that this ring will hold up for years to come, and just wanted to return it to them for a refund. This process is something that was supposed to be so fun and special and instead has been incredibly stressful and sad. I feel taken advantage of by Balefire as this ring was $3k and it didn't even last a month without an issue. Of course they refused my efforts to return the ring but did offer to fix it yet again. I am pursuing other options but truly wish I never went here in the first place.
