It was a quiet Thursday afternoon and the cashier was able to meet with me right away to discuss my jewelry. She showed it to the jeweler, Mark, who was able to determine that the old clasp could be easily removed and replaced with a nearly identical clasp of the same sterling silver. He did the entire process in less than 5 minutes and the whole repair cost a very reasonable $10. This necklace has a great deal of sentimental value and I was thrilled to have it fixed with such speed and professionalism. I'll be sure to recommend Nulton to anyone who needs jewelry repaired. This time we went for Tungsten, which allegedly is hypoallergenic. My hubby's profession requires an inane amount of hand-washing so we are hoping he will have less of a reaction to soap buildup on his finger. He's worn it for a week and loves it equally. The staff at The Source is professional and kind. I wish they were a little more welcoming, and had a bit more enthusiasm, but that's somewhat trivial. They are typically older than those that are found at the mall jeweler's, which makes me feel like they have more experience and knowledge. It appears that they have a much longer turnover rate, so you may see the same employee -- even if you haven't visited in a while. I believe the prices to be reasonable and feel that's due in part to location: they're not paying the high mall rents. They are also not spending large amounts on flashy advertising campaigns. And again, I cannot overemphasize this enough: it's a locally-owned business! Gotta support the little guy whenever we can, but especially when they sell quality merchandise at an affordable price.

I did not notice this initially due to only being concerned with the fit. While I was immediately invited back to fix it when I called to inform them that they scratched my ring and it was then buffed out - I am still confused and disappointed that they would cause damage and not notice what happened before they gave it back the first time. The ring has lost quite a bit of its white gold look due to having to be buffed and will have to be re-dipped already - and I've only had it for a few months. I hope they learned to pay closer attention to their work and unfortunately I will not be using their services again.

The necklace is a gold chain with an opal and diamond pendant which was a gift purchased at Costco (yes Costco). While evaluating the jewelry, they were very kind and didn't bat an eye when I said where it was purchased and provided the estimated value. It took about two weeks to get back. While waiting in line, another staff member took my ticket (yay me for not loosing it) and got my jewelry. Which was untangled and put back together perfectly. Note: they are closed on Mondays. When I walk into an AD for Omega, Grand Seiko, Cartier, or Tag Heuer, I have certain expectations for my AD. Unfortunately, Mann's Jewelers did not meet these expectations of going above and beyond. If you know what you like and do not enjoy outside input, it is perfectly fine to purchase your watch from here. But, in my opinion, half the fun of watch shopping is explaining your desires to your AD and watching as they find a piece that meets or even exceeds your expectations. Unless you are deeply attached to Tag or Accutron, I would highly recommend also stopping by Cornell's (which is nearby) to speak with their highly experienced and knowledgeable sales folk.
