I used JFK to move some items from the house into a moving van. These guys were awesome. Rafael and his associate (I apologize for not remembering his name) are hard workers. They showed up on time. They are polite, pleasant professionals that are very good at their job. The items arrived at their destination and nothing was broke or damaged. Customer service setting up the move was quick to respond, price was average after talking to several movers. Staff was polite and efficient. I got a quote for 3 hours and they were done in about 2 and 1/2 (paid for the 3 hours) and they did not assemble my furniture even though they had agreed to previously. Awful. Horrible. Just don't. They sent out 4 guys- 2 of which couldn't speak English. That's a big hinderance when you can't communicate effectively. So a lot of stuff that I didn't want got packed, and a lot I did want did not get packed. Trying to direct people where to put stuff when they don't speak your language is more than difficult. They couldn't finish the job in one day, so I was told they'd come back the next. However, they were booked and had to bump me another day. Only problem- they did not tell me. I had to call the company to find this out. Horribly unprofessional. I made it very clear when they came back to have a crew that I could communicate with. Think they did? Nope. I said it's a problem. The foreman told me he'd get replacements. Then WITHOUT NOTICE- they canceled the entire contract! I have 24 hours to move out. DO NOT USE JFK MOVING!!! I've hired other movers. I'll get what I need done elsewhere. This was a bad experience from start to finish. Never again. There- you've been warned. read more

They arrived on time is the best thing I can say about them. I have moved 8 times in the last 15 years and this is by far the worst crew I've ever had. Let's start with how bad they smelled lingering pungent body odor. I have worked with unhoused people and these guys smelled like they hadn't showered in weeks. I asked for 4 guys I got three. The crew leader was argumentative and thought I would appreciate it if he called me "mom". He was disappointed that we were moving to storage 5 minutes away and used every tactic he could to extend time. He wanted to wrap everything in gobs of plastic, I learned later that it's because they are not careful at all! I was told blankets were included in my quote but he would only sell them to me for $15 each. So he used NO MOVING BLANKETS! They tipped my furniture over on concrete and then blamed me for the damage. With any other movers the move would have taken 2 hours less. Did I mention that the crew leader yelled at his crew in his language ALL DAY! I finally told him to stop arguing and start working. Then I started working, I am 63 and I worked circles around this crew. BEWARE! read more

Excellent communication with Adam (the owner), he confirmed the appointment and emailed a confirmation--extremely professional. The pricing was in line from the other quotes we received but JFK was simply easier to work with and communication was superior. On the move day, Josh and Ahror arrived on time and took care wrapping and moving the pieces. JFK movers were the best I've had so far. The scheduling was easy and they contacted the day before to confirm, and they called the day of to let me know when they were on their way. They arrived right on time and we're fast and efficient. It was 105 degrees on Tuesday 7/20/21 and they worked very hard moving heavy furniture from a house to the storage unit. They are reliable and professional. The price is good and about the same compared to other company's. My sister came by and saw how professional they were and requested them to move her items. From start to finish we had a phenomenal experience with JFK Moving Company. We had a difficult long distance move from Crestline (up in the mountains) to The Bay Area. We had snow the week before our move and our home in Crestline was on a single lane dirt road with no exit and featured a steep stone staircase leading into the home. I got a ton of help from Jameson over the phone who answered all my questions and helped me navigate needing to reschedule the move due to weather. The mountains present all kinds of challenges and from my early interactions with JFK Moving I felt confident that they could handle whatever came up. They were the only company to ask detailed questions about our move specifics prior to providing an estimate and the rate they gave us was really fair and reasonable. The move itself was an absolute breeze. We were lucky to work with Oscar, Luis and Joe who all went above and beyond expectations. They worked quickly, efficiently, and with so much positivity. We requested to do our move over two days and both days went off without a single hitch. All three of our movers treated our belongings and our living spaces with incredible thoughtfulness and care. They even wrapped and moved large guitar amps and instruments. I used this company in early 2020 to move my mother out of her apartment and into her new home. They were kind, courteous, careful, and worked extremely hard. So when it came time to move myself they were my first call. They handled all of my belongings with attention and care. They worked very hard and handled large heavy objects with thoughtfulness although we moved out of a two story. I was completely taken care of and in good hands. These were great. They did underestimate all of the crap I had and thought they could finish in a day but deep down I knew it would be rough. After 12 hours of moving (they guys worked like crazy) they fit me in last minute the next day to complete the move. For the cost, service, and issue resolution I give them 5 stars. So I am reviewing on the other side of things (someone else used this service to move out of my place). Everyone was wearing masks and they were very respectful while moving out. Still, no one is 100% perfect when you're moving out a whole house worth of furniture and when there was a minor damage (under 100 dollars) they didn't give me the run around and paid me promptly.
