When asked to leave a parking space free in the front of the neighbor's house so a 98 yo dying of congestive heart failure could easily access needed medical transportation -they not only did not move their truck but SCREAMED and were threatening to the female neighbors that requested they move their truck to another free space where they were working. They were threatening to the extent that the police had to be called to talk to them . Then they left sand and concrete remains in the neighbors driveway- nice touch. The job they did was not great either. Stay away from this low class operation.

I could go into bashing the other contractor but this isn't about the other horrible wrong contractor, it's about having the right one! Thank God that Mr. Luigi Cotumaccio and his crew came to my rescue! I should have called him in the first place but after 20 years I lost his number! The last time I hired him (and his same crew) was approximately 20 years ago, when he originally rebuilt my stoop and walkway! 20 years and the work that he did before was still excellent!! National Grid replaced the water and gas lines and due to their work, one piece of limestone cracked! 20 years and all Luigi's work was still in excellent condition! I ended up Googling Luigi Construction and thank God I found him again! He's such a wonderful man as well as his crew, such a gentlemen but also whose craftsmanship is second to none! He honestly rescued me! He and his crew were total professionals who totally rebuilt my stoop and was more than reasonable citing that he always stands behind his work that he had already done 20 years before! 20 years and although the stoop still looked wonderful, the best solution was to rebuild it. Let me tell you the craftsmanship is amazingly beautiful, but believe me when I tell you that you're not only getting superior craftsmanship, you're also getting something that you're not going to find very often in today's world and that's respect and integrity! He did an amazing job, and his price was among the lowest quotes among the many I got. I chose him because he was the only one in his price ranges who had references - spoke to 3 different customers and they were all happy. I even went to look at his work. Kent is the most solid contractor I've worked with in NYC, and I've done 2 gut renovations (one apartment and one 3 story brownstone) and an asbestos abatement. He's telling you the hard truth about what needs to be done, and he then gets it done on schedule. He is very involved in the entire process, doing important parts by himself and closely supervising his workers and subcontractors (for the iron work). Highly recommend!
