For the new year, I see more garlic rice, turon, pancit and all the assortment of fish stews, veggie stews sitting in trays in this cafeteria style Pilipino restaurant, in my future and in my tummy! I especially love coming here for breakfast! You can see all the food in front of you and you can sample too! After ordering you can eat in the eating area just behind. They give big portions, and the prices still seem reasonable. There is so much to try here! A very chill place! I love it when the TVs are on and they have programming from the Philippines on. I feel transported and is a nice change of pace.

I've passed this place so many times while driving on Sherman Way, but for some reason, it looked sketch. But I finally decided to come here because Cebuchon is closed on Mondays. I'm so glad I did because I now have another Filipino restaurant close to me that I can go to. This is cafeteria style food and the prices are pretty decent. I ordered the lechon kawali and pork bbq for my 2 item combo. The wife got the diniguan and some green spinach thing. I also ordered a large pork sinigang, a slice of cassava cake & banana q. Total cost was around $70. My wife mentioned that the sinigang was pretty good and hit the spot. The diniguan and spinach thing was also good according to her. However, my lechon was just ok. I kind of knew it wasn't going to be great as I can see that the color was a little gray and they were pre-cut all sitting under a heat lamp. I think it would have been better if they cut it to order like how Cebuchon does theirs. The liver sauce was not as smooth and a hint of vinegar. Not my favorite as I don't like vinegar. The bbq was not bad and had good sauce on it. I really liked the banana q though. It was the right amount of sweetness and not hard. The cassava cake was too sweet for my liking. There's a huge parking lot in the back after you squeeze through the small driveway. There's also underground parking available if you want to keep your car shaded. It looks like they make their own desserts so everything is fresh. Just make sure you inspect them as I've heard of others with spoiled food probably due to the heat. There are also tables in the back and a TV if you prefer to eat onsite. Overall, a very good option.

Seriously, the food here is on another level. Every bite feels like a warm hug. If you haven't been here yet, you are missing out on some of the best flavors in the city! Must-try Lechon Paksiw Must-try: Kare kare Must-try: Spare ribs Must-try:Beef steak

    100 lumpiang shanghai

I ordered 100 pieces of lumpia Shanghai for pickup on a Wednesday around 8:30 am. I arrived a few minutes late but all of the metered parking on the street right out front was available and I was able to park right in front of the entrance. There was also very little traffic on the road. The inside is small. There is no seating, but plenty of food options to choose from. Their desserts are placed on tables in the middle of the small floor and they also sell cold drinks and snacks on the floor as well. When you walk in, the hot food is visible to the right, and it smelled absolutely delicious. I saw my order ready to go on the back counter behind the register and waited just a moment before someone came out to greet me. The lumpia were $45 if paying with cash and ~$50 if paying with card. I tried one right as I got into my car. They were fresh and slightly crisp. The flavor was pretty good, not the best. I give them a 3/5 for flavor but it could have been more heavily seasoned. However the price is very good. I took this dish to my company potluck and many people enjoyed it even when it was colder and not as crispy. It was served with sweet and sour sauce that complimented the lumpia but wasn't necessary. All of the lumpia were gone by the end of the event and votes for best dishes brought included mine as one of the top! Great option for catering. I would like to try their other items another time. It seems they have been around for a very long time and I'm sure it's not just for their lumpia!

Their food are delicious , tasty and authentic Filipino food. They have sinigang, squid adobo, bbq, menudo, dinuguan, kare kare, pancit, egg rollsetc etc. They also make their own pastries and empanadas which were both very good. I didn't like their turon though because it's way too oily and tastes of old oil. Parking at the back. They are pricier than the already pricey other Filipino turo turo restaurants but their viands are tastier than most. I would also recommend their catering You can also dine in or just take out.

I used to live around the area and I usually come here 2 - 3x a week. I usually get there combo. They're generous with their servings and so far the food I have tried are Tasty and flavorful. Parking is located in the back.

We had to finish cooking the longganisa ourselves
    Kyle P.

If I could give zero stars I would. If you want me to be honest our expectations were pretty low to start, but even then I am appalled at how horrible and a hazard to our health our two experiences have been . The first time coming here the fried rice we had received for our order to go had a rotten foul smell upon opening the container, it was without a doubt cooked with steamed rice that was was beyond bad. We only received an apology and decided to not comeback again. My father who gives everyone the benefit of the doubt, decided to give them another try today. He ordered two orders of Longganisa sausage and upon arriving home we had discovered that the sausages were as hard as rocks! That's not an exaggeration, our silverware could not even break into it. This could have very easily caused a bowel obstruction if we tried to consume it. We called them and told them about our food, while the woman over the phone tried to play it off that we were exaggerating at first, she told us to come there in 30 minutes so they could cook us fresh ones. My father drove back, a 20 minute drive one way mind you, and the sausages they had given us this time were boiled instead of pan fried and weren't even cooked all the way. We know they were boiled because with the amount of hot water in the container, the average person would assume it was a couple hot dogs in soup, that's not even taking into consideration the off color. We had to literally cook the replacement sausages to have it actually be edible. My father also asked for something small as a token of compensation, they asked him to pick something out, everything he picked though they told him they could not give him. They ended up reluctantly giving him a piece of Filipino desert. Why would you even bother telling him to pick something out if almost everything you have could not be given as compensation? The icing on the cake was at home we discovered the desert was rotten as well. I understand that times are very difficult for everybody at the moment, however the "food" this place is serving to people is a health hazard and can seriously send somebody to the emergency room or worse. It doesn't matter what kind of financial struggles you are going through as a business, there are no excuses for putting people's health on the line especially when charging money. I plan to follow up with the city to investigate the health practices performed here, because I'm genuinely afraid of what's going on in that kitchen. Did I mention the price as well? For just the sausages and rice my father paid around $20. So in summary, please do not come here, this place should be investigated by the health department and shut down permanently.

This is a go to place for Filipino food. I always order for events. Favorites are eggrolls, pansit bihon & caldereta. Mang Raul is very nice & friendly. Not to mention halo halo for this summer!

There are many Filipino restaurants in LA but this one is authentic with ample serving and friendly staff. Homecooked hearty meal that is on the budget. Definitely an all time favorite. They have indoor and patio seating plus ample rear parking.

I actually order from them frequently through DoorDash for home delivery, which is always convenient and tasty, but dining in person is a whole different experience. The restaurant itself is very clean, welcoming, and has a warm, homey feel that really adds to the overall enjoyment of the meal. What really sets this place apart is the authenticity. I'd love to know what they use for the Beef Marinade because it was out of this world. A flavor explosion the likes of which I have never tasted. We decided on Oi Asian which had great reviews, so why not. First off, let me say that there is plenty of parking, however, the parks are extremely narrow for some reason. It was a struggle to get in and out of the car due to the width of the parks smh. Anyway, once we got inside, there wasn't anyway at the register and after standing there for a while, I noticed the kiosk so unplaced my order there. There were only two cooks in the back. We placed our order and sat down. The place was clean but everything seemed like it was do it yourself. The boys were thirsty and there wasn't an option for water on the kiosk, so I called one of the cooks from the back to pay for a water and he rang me up. It was pretty rough in there. At one point I had to get up and grab my own fork by reaching over the counter. Once our food was ready, one of the cooks brought our food and I wasn't really feeling my meal, which was the dynamite crawfish bowl. I didn't like the sauce it came with. I just picked at the crawfish and left the rest. As for the boys meal, the fried chicken adobo bowl was REALLY good! I ended up eating theirs because my oldest son didn't like it, which was great for me lol. My youngest and I tore that bowl up. Anyway, the verdict is, I may search around for other options but I know that if I can't find anything else I can always grab a chicken adobo bowl but the service was pretty nonexistent. That chicken adobo bowl saved it. OOO 3 out of 5

The Kusina Ni Kuya side is more of a traditional Filipino *turo-turo* (point-point) setup, where you choose your dishes cafeteria-style. I went with the **beef sinigang**. I was initially planning to order two entrees, but after seeing the generous portion they served, I decided one was plenty. While eating, I noticed trays of Cajun-style seafood boils coming out to nearby tables--interesting to see, even if it's not really my thing. As for the food, the sinigang delivered. The broth had a nice, balanced tang--sour but not overpowering--and it really hit the spot after the hike. Simple, comforting, and satisfying. **Why 4 stars?** Very solid food and portions, but not quite a standout experience that pushes it into that must-go, 5-star category. **Overall:** A reliable spot for Filipino comfort food--especially if you're coming down from a hike and want something warm and filling.

I specifically told the employee multiple times to cut my milkfish only and NOT clean it because I've had bad experiences before and wanted to avoid another mistake. I repeated "cut only" several times to make sure the instructions were clear. Unfortunately, the employee still cleaned the fish, removed the scales, and prepared it completely differently from what I requested. This ruined the preparation I needed for my paksiw. To make matters worse, another employee came out and started arguing with me, saying I should have been clearer next time. Instead of acknowledging the mistake and apologizing, they blamed the customer. The ongoing communication issues, lack of attention to customer instructions, and unprofessional attitude are becoming frustrating. When the same problems happen repeatedly, it's no longer an isolated mistake--it's a training and customer service problem. This store is starting to feel like a circus. Management needs to improve employee communication skills, customer service, and accountability. Customers should not have to argue just to get a simple request followed.

Guys. I know this must be an off day. But please take this info to heart and hopefully use it for…read morequality control purposes. I've been going here for years. I don't live nearby, but I was craving Filipino food. So I bit the bullet and ordered through Doordash, even though it cost me what a full tank of gas costs me. But the inconsistencies have to be mentioned once and for all, so that you can use it to improve. First off, does somebody not taste the food when cooking? Look at my photos and see how gorgeous the food appears. But the palabok had no taste, except for bad taste. As in, no flavoring. Did the cook forget to add the most important ingredients and seasonings? And then there's the tocilog. Everything was perfect; except for the tocino, which is the superstar of the combo?? It tasted old and gamey. What went wrong? I don't know. I'm being generous with the 3-stars, because I am hoping this is just another one-off. However, more than one one-off is no longer a one-off. It's your business practices. Please help me give you a better rating, I know that when your food is good, it's really good. But you need to be consistent. It only takes one visit for a first-timer to never return. As well as for a repeat customer who knows they have other options. I just spent $50 on two dishes that I can't even eat, and I'm not being dramatic. Read my reviews and see that I'm usually generous with my reviews. But I'd like for you to continue to thrive. Good luck and please don't hate me!

Been wanting to try them and finally got to last Friday when they had their popup at Mason Park!…read more Thankfully it's a huge and nice park with tons of street parking! We got there around 4:30 is which was about 30 minutes after they opened and they were still settling in but were able to take our order. Greeted by the friendliest couple, Sherille and Lou (sp?)! They had their kids to watch as well but they managed everything just fine! Food took about 15 minutes after we ordered and we took them home to enjoy! We ordered their special 3 for $8 chicken sisig tacos and the pulled pork adobo tacos. I had to get the piña-mania juice and ended up getting another one for my mom in the end because there was no way I could share mine LOL!! Shoutout to Sherille for also giving us complimentary lumpia and empanaditas for being their first customers of the day!! SUPER crisp, perfect texture, delish!! The star of the show was the Ube Tres Leches for sure! Not too sweet and loved every bite. The tacos in the photos on their menu had sauce on top but when we got home, there was sadly no sauce. We managed and made our own chipotle mayo thing to put on top, otherwise it would've been too dry. Overall the flavors were delicious! Some of the tortillas got a bit hard so maybe it's best to eat while you're there but still enjoyed everything! Looking forward to visiting them again and trying their other menu items! Located in front of Camarillo's "LOCAL" Pub in Camarillo Springs. The small family run business…read morehas literally more heart in their cooking then they can find spices. The food is on point and everyone there is very kind and will explain everything to you. The Olympia would probably make anyone eat until they are sick. It is so delicious. All of their food have it be the pork belly or the Sis egg with Ponset noodles everything here is on point and their rice is pretty good too. They were kind enough to give me a military discount as well, so be sure to ask them if you can prove your service or first responder ID Can't wait to see them more often!!
