If you didn't know better, you would swear that you were entering a NYC Chinese restaurant. ... And that's a good thing. We have been here multiple times, and it has bever disappointed. The egg drop soup reminds me of a restaurant we used to go to on Long Island. The egg noodles that they serve with it are (obviously) made there. If you go, let me know if you think the same thing. The other dishes we have had on our visits have been top notch. It definitely is a step up from the traditional storefront places that are in every shopping center in Virginia. Easily parked up front upon arriving. The hostess provided great customer service and answered all our questions as it was our first time here. Our order was ready when promised too ! We decided to try this restaurant after seeing good review on Facebook. The food was packaged well and when we arrived home everything was still hot. I'll start with the rice; it is absolutely a great value! I removed the peas and carrots and added bean sprouts ( I love them but not sure I would have added them if I'd known it be $2 more). For $14 the house fried rice is a steal because it was right over 3 servings. Taste wise it was good but I've had better at other places; when we ate it initially I felt it was missing a flavor. But when I reheated it the next day I actually liked it better. I also had the fried chicken wings (they're wingettes); they were good but not what I'm used to from Chinese takeout restaurants and they had a bit of feathers still on them. The pork lo-mein was tasty to me but my boyfriend stated it had a different taste than what he's used to. He also said he liked it better when he ate it the next day. The lo mein made 2+ servings. The pork dumplings were good and we also liked the egg rolls. When asked the hostess let us know th e egg rolls were shrimp & ground beef but they looked and tasted like pork egg rolls to us (which we prefer any way). Overall good food and I'd suggest it to others if looking for something in that area. I've been a customer for over 15 years, but my biggest concern for Jiangs is that keep their back door open and it has no screen doo, I've have seen someone in the door feeding the flock of geese that are always out there due to the huge pond, think that the local heal department needs visit this place and find out why they keep the back door open knowing bugs are flying in and out near food thats being prepared for customers, and the flock of geese's at the back door every year read more

I've been coming here for quite a while and always enjoyed the food, but something seems to have changed--possibly new ownership? Unfortunately, our meals tonight were very disappointing. The wonton soup was overly salty and gave me a headache, likely from too much MSG. I ordered the shrimp and chicken with mixed vegetables, but it only came with large chunks of red pepper--no real variety. My husband had the shrimp egg foo young, and he said it lacked flavor and had very little shrimp. It's really a shame; I used to like this place. Jiang's is my second favorite Chinese restaurant in Chesterfield. The food and service are very good. Two things keep them from getting a 5 from me: The chef is consistently a little heavy on the salt, and on the large screen over the bar, they play cooking videos, but many include unappetizing food preparation, which is not appealing to all audiences. read more

I never complain or even leave a review but i felt like it was needed, i called today around 2:45 and placed an order, i live 12 min away from the restaurant but was not able to pick it up since it was for my family and i was not home, the lady told me it was going to be 45 min for the delivery and hang up, she confirmed the address before that and everything was good, an hour later i called back checking to see the ETA and told me she forgot it was delivery and placed it on pick up, I told her she had confirmed my address and what options she could offer me since it's been now more than an hour and my family was waiting, she offered to send it cold or to get a new one but it was going to take more time since "they had more orders", she told me i could pick it up or she could give me a drink???? I asked to speak with the manager and her first response was "there is no manager right now" and then claimed to be the manager?? I've been a customer of Jiang's since it opened in 1999 - longer than the discourteous, rude cashier is old. I will no longer be a customer. My mother lives in a place that doesn't prepare vegetables that are cooked properly or tasty, so when I visit from out of town, we make a trip to Jiang's to get food with vegetables she enjoys. In the last several months, our experience has not been good. On one of my visits a few months ago, I ordered Twice Cooked Pork that came with lots of cabbage and other veggies. After I went home, Mom returned to Jiang's and ordered Twice Cooked Pork that contained carrots and only a few small leaves of cabbage. The description in the menu reads, "Marinated strip lion pork wok tossed with Chinese cabbage, fresh mushroom, babycorn, green and red bell pepper in spicy brown sauce". Mom tried to get a credit for the meal and had an issue with the cashier and so I called. The cashier accused her of not ordering the same dish I had ordered, and I know that she did because she had to call me for the name. About a month ago, Mom tried Moo Goo Gai Pan. The description on the menu reads: "Sliced tender chicken breast sauteed w. fresh mixed Vegs in flavored white sauce". She enjoyed it, and so when I came to visit, we both ordered it. Neither of us got many mixed veggies, but there was plenty of broccoli and chicken, and the white sauce was visible and tasty. I had surgery planned a little more than a month later; so the day before surgery, we picked up four Moo Goo Gai Pan lunches so neither of us had to cook. Mom ate hers that evening. There was absolutely no sauce and it was dry. The day after my surgery, Mom drove us back to Jiang's where we hoped to have the lunches remade WITH sauce as it was prepared before. I reminded the cashier what had happened with the Twice Cooked Pork, and then I showed her one of the lunches. She insisted 4 or 5 times that there was white sauce by pointing at a piece of chicken. I told her she was pointing at a piece of chicken and she told me that the chicken was "coated" in sauce and that if I wanted to see sauce, I needed to order extra sauce. When I told her that our previous orders weren't made with extra sauce and there was visible sauce, she told me that we had ordered the wrong dish previously. I asked her if she wanted to see the description of it on their menu and she insisted that the dish had sauce in it; so I took the top off, stuck my finger in it and showed her there was no sauce. She still insisted that the dish came this way and that if she was to reorder it for me, it would be a waste of food because it would come out the same way. So I said to her, "Then order it with extra sauce". The manager was not there. She couldn't replace the lunches without the manager's approval and yet she didn't make an attempt to call him or her. So I just told her to refund the lunches, which she said she would do later, to which I replied that she needed to do it now because I was not coming back. I've had enough Chinese food in white and brown sauces to know that the sauces aren't served like gravy, but, both, Mom's individual Moo Goo Gai Pan order and both of the orders we got during my last visit had visible sauce. Just as the Twice Cooked Pork I ordered had plenty of cabbage and other vegetables and Mom's order had carrots and hardly any cabbage, the preparation of the food is inconsistent from day to day. What made me really mad was the rude cashier accusing me several times of ordering different dishes the first time we ordered them, and I could not seem to get across to her that the food was not prepared consistently from visit to visit. So if you do go to Jiang's and get a dish you like, don't count on getting the same dish with the same ingredients that tastes the same as the dish you liked the next time you order. read more

I ordered general Taos Chicken with fried rice and triple delight with fried rice. They were both so disgusting. All was soggy with no flavor. The chicken was mushy and the fried rice was too! Overall disappointed with my time spent here. Christmas was very busy so I'm giving grace for his busy they were however upon arriving we were seated right away. But it took a really long time to be acknowledged by the waitress of our section. Even after taking our drink orders we had to waive her back down to get her attention. The menu is just your standard Chinese food. I had egg rolls and crab wontons. The waitress seemed annoyed that we were there. Respectfully I get it. However we were only brought packets of duck sauce instead of the jars others table had and when we asked for more she gave 1 additional packet. It seems like we had consistently as for things were as other tables I observed just got them. The wontons really had no flavor to them and are the worst I've ever had. The egg rolls were really good. And my parties food seemed to be to their liking. I just can't get with the service received at this restaurant. I was looking for an option in the area open after 9pm and I came upon Jiang's. It is 3/12/21 and they are allowing dine in. I was the only one here so I went for it. The dining room is clean and well maintained, staff is super friendly and attentive . I started my meal with the crispy scallion pancake. How wonderful is that ? Very! The scallion flavor is bold and they came out super warm and crisped to perfection. I moved on to the double pan fried noodle with pork. This is the truth. Fantastically executed - savory and delicious . The noodles were both crispy and absorbed the sauce . The food is always pretty good, the only reason I'm giving 4 stars is because we've had issues with the drivers not using the apps we order from to provide updates. Jiang's Chinese Restaurant is my #1 spot in Midlothian. I've used them at least three times for take-out using the YELP/Eat24 mobile app. I've also dined with them one time. For me personally I have no complaints. I'm thrilled I finally found a place that serves a proper Singapore Noodles and their Pork Lo Mein is top tier. Their triple delight and fried rice are also good. If memory serves me correctly I seem to recall their egg rolls and spring rolls are a hot mess and should be avoided. We ordered for the family this evening and everyone was quite happy with the food. However, I wanted to specifically review my order. I ordered the Singapore Rice Noodles and they exceeded every expectation that I had. Certainly a well prepared dish and I love the construction of the dish using the smaller pieces of meats and eggs with smaller noodles. Although not a huge fan of curry, this order was seasoned/flavored perfectly! In a word, I loved it. I also tried an egg roll and the Beef Stick. The egg roll had a perfect crisp and the correct flavor and the beef sticks were tender with that great flavor one expects. Well done indeed! But the noodles were some of the best that I have tasted since eating some in Malaysia and Singapore. read more

To be honest, I work for a beverage distributor in the area and have delivered here before. That is one of the factors that leads to where I do and do not eat. Seeing the kitchen helps determine if I will order food or not. This restaurant has never had any problems or issues in the back. I ordered the Shrimp with cashews. I was very disappointed. the taste was good and there were generous amounts of shrimp included, but that was about it. As far as vegetables go, there was maybe a 1/4 cup of mushroom, carrots and peas. There was more than 1/2 cup of celery, I measured it. I hate celery, so all that was wasted.
