Horrible shop, very poorly managed, I went there for a inspection and they took 30 min just to get a guy to start the inspection while there was only one mechanic actually working and four and the manager just walking around!...it took a while hr for me to get out of there on a non busy period...stay away from this shop, save yourself the frustration.. read more

The service I received at this location was terrific. All the technicians were kind, professional, and very helpful. My service was completed very quickly and I had no problems whatsoever. CONSUMER ALERT: there is a scam going on with Jiffy Lube on this location. i took my car last week for oil change. The manager suggested an option of other expensive oil job, but I chose the special they offered of $24.99. I drove off. 5 days later the alert system on my 2013 Chevy Cruze came on and saying I need to change my oil. I decided to check the dip stick only to find out that the oil was dirty. I took it back to the manager at Jiffy lube on Manchaca and Slaughter and he told me that may be it is my engine that is dirty because I may have not changed oil in a long time. I showed him the receipts from my last oil change. He then suggested that their oil is just darker. So I took out a white tissue paper and placed a drop of oil from my engine and asked him to drop his fresh dark oil on the tissue. He got embarrassed because his so called "dark' oil was way lighter than the oil he put in my car 5 days ago. Right now I am working with KXAN TV to investigate this scam. I recommend if you are loyal customer, to peek and see to make sure your filter is changed and you are getting new oil. They've just lost a customer and I will never use them again. read more

We've come here multiple times this week to get the state inspection done on our car this week, and each time there was no one there that could do the inspection. If you're going to offer a service, why would you not make that service available during normal business hours? On top of that, the employees there are very unfriendly. Best service I have received when it comes to getting your oil changed. Ramon helped me out and he discovered that I had an oil leak. He went above and beyond to get the oil off the bottom of my car and gave my guidance on what I needed to do next. He also showed me how to check my oil in my car. Very impressed! I tried to get my car inspected here and upon arrival the guy had told me it would be 45 minutes tops. After noticing 4 to 5 people who came in after me leave before me I confronted one of the guys there. An hour and a half has gone by... and He tells me he didn't know I was on the list and that they'll get me me soon. Before I exploded I decided to go get a sandwich nearby and come back and even after that my car still had not been touched and people were getting their cars inspected. Avoid this place at all costs they have no professional skills, business skills, or ethical skills, besides the sweet blonde lady at the front who told me she was sorry for everything. Buyer beware - My 2017 Mercedes E300 with 33K miles on it was serviced here on 7/31. The following morning my car started shaking , the exhaust was smoking and the check engine light came on. I exited the freeway in Houston quickly While on the access road the engine emitted a plume of smoke that was caught on video and the engine was making knocking noises. When I made it to a gas station and lifted the hood there was oil everywhere except in the engine. The fill cap had not been properly secured following servicing. The turbo engine created pressure and forced the oil out of the engine through the loose cap. Members of my travel party witnessed the oil that had been sprayed all over the top side of the engine compartment and additionally observed that the dip stick did not have any oil on it (I made three attempts to get an oil reading) The car was ultimately taken to Sewell Mercedes of West Houston where it was confirmed that there was cylinder scarring. The engine was damaged beyond the point of repair and must be replaced at a cost of $13,500. Jiffy Lube accepts no responsibility for what transpired Apparently they are of the opinion that oil should leak from a car following servicing at their location. My claim was denied despite video evidence, eye witnesses and independent 3rd party assessment This will unfortunately require litigation. I dropped by this Jiffy Lube on a whim. I was on the way back to 1626 Auto Inspections to deal with a rude person who didn't want to pass my car's inspection for no good reason. I asked the man who came out to greet me about my tires and if they would pass inspection. He went and got his tread gauge and showed me that my tires were all 4/32 or 5/32. So, I let him inspect my car. He was very nice! About 15 minutes later, a lady came over to me and said I was ready to go. I was very surprised because there was even a car in front of me. She was sweet as pie and was telling me some story about chips in credit cards and how her banker told her that credit cards instead of debit cards were the only real way to protect your bank account. My car was inspected for $18, and I was in and out in less than 15 minutes, and everyone was delightful. I will definitely go back to this Jiffy Lube next time I need an oil change or an inspection! read more

This location never has anyone to do state inspections on weekends. They should take down the sign. There's always someone running up to the car and claiming the inspectors are out. They shouldn't be allowed to have the state inspection sign if there's never anyone willing or able to do the work. Today, they had a little fellow mumbling he was new and Peggy and Annie were the only state inspectors. First, this is too much information. Second, I don't care about your job history. This was my first and last visit to the Manchaca Rd Jiffy Lube. I usually go to the one on Brodie and Alexandria and always have fine+ experiences. I went to the Manchaca location at 4:30 on Friday afternoon on my way out of town. Since there were only 3 cars in front of me in line, I knew I would be safe for a quick in-and-out experience. I patiently waited a hair under an hour and a half in the lobby before I was called out to the computer for the service review. During my wait, one of the staff members had an interaction with an 8.5 month pregnant woman. He was giving her a very hard time because their records showed that "Phillip" owned the car and they were reluctant to work on the car without the owner's consent! WHAT? The lady was offended, insisting that Phillip was her HUSBAND and to please just change the oil, because she was, after all, uncomfortably pregnant, so why were they hassling her? Anyway, I finally had my sales pitch. When I commented about the wait, the staff member informed me that they were short staffed. It was also brought to my attention that this employee had been at work since 6:30 am (by now it was past 6pm) without a lunch break (isn't this illegal?), and that the company cared NOTHING for its employees, only its shareholders and making money. In my state of frustration, I walked straight over the gas station for an iced tea and a pack of Sweettarts. I was not gone 5 minutes. When I returned, my car was done. WHAT? So many questions! {Did you even DO anything? If it only takes 5 minutes, why have I been here 2 hours? Etc} I paid my SEVENTY-SIX DOLLARS AND TWENTY-TWO CENTS (Okay, I know, now *I* really am the idiot. WHO EVEN pays that much for an oil change?!?!?!?) and drove away. Well, my friends, the story does not end there. My "maintenance required" light was STILL ON. So, I swung around in the parking lot and headed straight back. I parked in the front and told them to get the light off. A young guy with a SERIOUS attitude problem first told me to "hold on." Once 3-4 minutes had gone by, he bellowed across the shop for someone else to do it. This poor person had no idea how to turn the light off. I waited outside and watched for a moment or two, then finally walked into the lobby. I paced the lobby for about 5 more minutes while watching the employee fiddle around with my car aimlessly. Finally, I had had it. I burst through the shop door and started hollering. I said, "OKAY! I'm done! She doesn't know what she's doing, it's been 2 hours, this is RIDICULOUS! Turn the light off and let me get out of here! (etc, etc, etc)" The Attitude Guy finally decided to get RICK the manager involved. He did NOT want to come up from under the floor. I had to yell at him to come up and waited probably a minute before he finally emerged. The manager did NOTHING. He just walked around like a lump and said NOTHING to me besides, "she got it" (in reference to the employee who was finally able to get the maintenance light off. He stared at me blankly as I explained to him how COMPLETELY DISSATISFIED I was and how DISGUSTING this whole thing was. By the time I finally left there, I was absolutely livid, disgusted, and dumbfounded. I can't even remember the last time I got fightin'-mad in a place of business. That's not really my style. Anyway, that's my story. I will NEVER NEVER NEVER go back there. And of course, I recommend you don't either! read more

I seriously wish there was a zero stars option! I went on my only day off work to get my car inspected. The bozos running the place told me to park my car and they would inspect my car after the 2 people in front of me. Ok, did that. Then an HOUR AND A HALF LATER I see my car still sitting there and not one, but TWO cars being inspected who got there way after me. The ding-dong attendant claimed he thought my car was one of the 2 getting inspected. Nice try, but I'm not an idiot- I see the keys that he knew were my keys still hanging on their dumb wall. The spineless weasel didn't have the guts to tell me they totally forgot about me. I would've much rather been told that than that pathetic lie. The guy doing the inspections said he was doing the 2 in the garage, yes, the 2 that got there over an hour AFTER me. Then they stared at me as to basically say, "oh well, lady". I wish I had read reviews before I went there! God, it was awful. No apologies from them, whatsoever. I work 70-80 hours a week, and don't have anymore days off work before my inspection expires, but they couldnt care less. HORRIBLE! And I will make sure all my friends and family never have to experience that godawful place. read more

He suggests the Jiffy Lube a few miles away because, " they have a full crew" So, I drive over and I'm told at least a 45 minute wait due to " we only have 2 guys working and supposed to have 4". Do not go here - I took my car in for inspection and had no trouble, but discovered that they got 6 digits of my VIN WRONG on my form! Six digits! I had to drive all the way back to this place to get it fixed - a huge waste of my time due to their negligence and inability to read numbers and letters. This review is about the place, not the inspection practice in Texas. Alright, this jiffy lube has given me problems in the past. They incorrectly"diagnosed" an oil leak as a power steering leak. #fail. Now today, I tried on a different vehicle. Unfortunately, there technicians were so busy, they could not even look at me. That's ok, I followed someone else to a different (Valvoline) inspection place. Behind someone else who actually got to really to the technicians. Turns out the wait would have been the hours. I would have been fine with that, I would have walked home. However, they would not give me the time of day. The places down the street had already gotten me in line at an hour, so... I don't ever go to a jiffy lube, but I had to this one time. MISTAKE number 1. I went in and just asked for an oil change. While my car was being serviced I was asked the type of oil and some recommendations the car needed. I agreed only to topping off fluids - which is an additional charge. MISTAKE number 2. Some of the services that were suggested didn't make sense, I needed an air filter for example. Which was a lie because I just changed it 2 services ago. (They just wanted to milk me for my $$) I paid close to $60 for a 'basic' oil change - MISTAKE NUMBER 3! can you say over priced?! 5 days later my AC wasn't working. I went to my family's mechanic - which I should of done from the beginning. He looked at the problem and asked who looked at my car, shared jiffy lube did. This is where i REGRET doing this. He shared with me that they topped off but over flowed all of them including my coolant. Which caused some issues. When I called jiffy lube, I was on the phone with Beverly (idiot of a woman) and we began arguing. Then when I stopped talking because I was thinking, she hung up. Then I called back and claimed that she hung up because I wasn't talking... Umm customer service you idiot?!?! Wasn't even apologetic. She made it seem it's all my fault. When I asked for a mgr, there wasn't one available until tomorrow. (Looks like it's a free for all since a leader isn't around). I was told that 'John' may find a solution to my problem - even though she shared nothing can be done because this is my issue. It became more evident that she was lying because before she said he would call me tomorrow then before we hung up, later today. I asked, when will John call me? She was like, umm well I will call him and he may call you today...?Good grief make up your mind!? I called the next day, John wasn't there. To this day, never received a call. I then had to find a solution to THIER screw up and thankfully my family's mechanic fixed it and didn't charge me as much as he should have. Thanks to this location and the unprofessional staff at this jiffy lube, for an oil change I spent more than I should. My advise, STAY AWAY read more

They're seriously AWESOME! I never take my car anywhere else and have come here for the past 3 years! They are super friendly, really easy to use (you just drive up, tell them what you want them to do, and leave the rest to them), and pretty fast! They have a nice little area to wait in while they work on your car and there are nearby little food places to walk to if you don't wanna wait inside! The staff are incredibly easy to talk to! I brought my car back after some oil was still leaking off my car to make sure they had done everything right and they were super understanding and double checked everything for free to find out it was nothing! They give you a little mileage sticker (usually with a happy face which is a cute touch) to remind you when your car is due back and they vacuum and wipe your car to make sure they hand it back to you better than they received it! I highly recommend this place to anyone read more

In general I like this place. Lines are not bad and the people are all nice. But, twice in a row they have not tightened down the gasket when changing our oil. Now I need to get back there again to get it tightened and I am frustrated by that. read more

So far my experience here hasn't been great. I pulled up and waited in my car for 10 minutes before I was acknowledged (there was another guy who was waiting too, I have no idea how long he was waiting because he arrived before me). So far, I have been sitting here for about 40 minutes and I have only seen 2 cars leave. Nobody has come to gather my information either. I've just been sitting here staring at the wall. ***update*** I've been here for almost an hour and a half now and I've finally been "checked in" he didn't ask me for my name or anything like that, just business which is fine I guess. I have a groupon which covers a signature service oil change and a rainx treatment and the service adviser went straight to trying to upsell me on oil without bothering to mention the increase in price. If I didn't know anything about cars, that could've been a big issue, seeing as they had already drained my car before I even confirmed the oil I wanted. If I had wanted an upgraded oil but didn't like the price, there would've been a problem. ***update-2*** So far they haven't checked my tires and my car has been sitting there untouched without another oil change in the shop for almost 5 minutes. read more

Definitely pass on this Jiffy Lube if you can. There are absolutely no reasons for the wait times to be that long (2 hours for 3 cars in front of me). I thought the first time was a fluke, but it happened on the second trip as well. I was just getting an oil change, nothing fancy. Two people that came in after me were finished before they even brought my car into the garage. Staff there is nice, but don't have an efficient way of operating at all and have no sense of the order in which cars should be worked on. Will not be going back. read more

I had to get an oil change this morning that I've been neglecting for longer than I should have, and even though when I arrived most of the store's systems were down (internet/router problem from what I gathered), the staff did a great job in taking care of my car quickly. Doug, the GM, was as accommodating as he possibly could have been given the circumstances. Well I can't give half a star so this place gets a star. I went there to get an oil change this past Saturday because Christian Brothers was closed. THEY asked me if I would also like a tire rotation and I agreed, thinking that they would balance my tires as well...long story short, 4 hours after I arrived they were finally done. I take off and my jeep was wobbling so bad and my hood wasn't closed so I pulled over to close my hood. I take off again and I'm wobbling so bad that I go back to Jiffy Lube and the guys says, and I quote, "I knew you'd be back because your tread on the front tires was a little more worn down than the back, so now that they've been rotated, you feel the wobble." Thought to myself, why would you not mention this to the customer BEFORE they paid and left? The guy then says give it about 500 miles and it will even out....haha. Three days later I couldn't drive it like that anymore so I take my jeep to a Jiffy lube up north where I live and no one had a lift that would lift my jeep high enough to rotate my tires back. I end up taking off work to go back to this Jiffy Lube with receipt in hand. I get there and they agree to rotate my tires back and then an hour later they come and tell me they don't feel comfortable lifting my jeep? THE SAME JIFFY LUBE THAT INITIALLY ROTATED MY TIRES!!! The only good thing about my experience here was that they refunded my money back. I had to take my jeep to Discount Tires to get them rotated and balanced properly. I WILL NEVER RECOMMEND ANYONE TAKE THEIR VEHICLE TO JIFFY LUBE, NOR WILL I EVER DO BUSINESS THERE AGAIN!!!! HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!! read more

Wow, totally unbelievable. Pulled up to the station first thing this morning and the "manager" was visibly displeased that business was heading his way. There were two other vehicles there before me and I received an hour and a half time estimate for service. The manager was completely unprofessional and seemed relieved when I decided to take my business elsewhere. Sitting here at Kwik Kar down the road and I'm completely impressed with their customer service and their shop is impressive and clean. They have a bunch of cars here and I'm almost out of here in 20 minutes. They even spoke to me with courtesy and professionalism! That's service!! read more

What a rip off. My husband is 68 years old and not in the best of health. He took our 2014 Kia Sorento for an oil change only. They fed him this line of crap that we needed this and that and it was their signature series. It was $48.99. We can go to Sun Auto for 14.99, they had a 3 hour wait or he would have gone there. I called to ask why it cost so much and the guy was so rude. He stated your husband signed the form to perform the work. I said did you explain that you were topping off fluids on a new car? He said your husband knew what he was doing. I said he was 68 and in poor health and he could have cared less. If this is how you do business by ripping people off I will make it my mission in life to make sure NO ONE goes to your establishment. I asked my husband if he understood what they told him. He said that they told him he needed the signature change. But let's be real here why do you need to top off fluids on a new car they just plain and simple ripped us off. read more

I have been taking my three cars to this spot for years and their level of service has deteriorated significantly. There was one employee working on my car today that appeared to still be drunk from the night before. He was sluggish and slow and appeared to still be under the influence of something...couldn't say for sure as I didn't bother getting close enough to confirm. The assistant manager handled most of the oil change, however I had to request that he double check his employees work before leaving. If the owner of this Jiffy Lube is reading this, I ask that you screen your employees carefully. Customers that have families come to your establishment and trust that you have competent sober employees working on their vehicles. I will be taking my car again today to another establishment to double check the work that was done today. I can't afford for something going wrong while my wife and kids are in this vehicle. The fact that I have lost all confidence in your establishment should be of great concern to the owner of this Jiffy Lube. I will never take any of my vehicles there again. read more
