This jiffy lube does an oil change pretty fast and at a standard rate -- I needed synthetic oil and it's about $80, the process took about 10 minutes, if that, from start to finish. They get you on your way right after. Wish it was a little cheaper to be more competitive but I would say that overall they are doing quick work, at a standard price. read more

Walter, unbelievable lack of ownership. Called after oil sensor went off and notice prompted from vehicle to reduce oil level. After speaking to Walter, who was adamant, "He was there all day and saw all vehicles." And that this vehicle was not there and to go to a Houston Jiffy lube.... But wait, Let's back up to what happened at 11:51 AM 9/15 we got the vehicle back at 8602 Brodie Lane Austin Texas 78745 and had a trip to Houston planned, once arrived, the sensor went off (picture attached). Ok now back to the story, Walter had said he had no solutions and that I need to go to the jiffy lube I went to. Knowing from lack of ownership and solutions, I grabbed my receipt called back and spoke to someone else who had Walter give me a call back. We will be going to Houston to lower the levels tomorrow and see where it goes from there. I have been coming to this jiffy lube location for several years and never had an issue. Unfortunately two things happened during my last visit earlier this week on May 20: 1. My Mini needed a new battery. The tech told me they can do it. He asked two assistants to take off the old battery. In the process they cracked the windshield and still couldn't get the battery out. The tech came and started working on the battery and I noticed the cracked windshield. I pointed out the issue and he said he wasn't watching them and can't do anything about it. He finally changed the battery after over an hour struggling to do it as clearly they had never changed batteries on Minis. I am having to change the windshield at an out of pocket cost of $370 because my comprehensive deductible is $500. Jiffy Lube should cover the cost. No one contacted me yet. 2. I took another car for a brake fluid change three weeks ago and, within a week, I got a flashing red warning sign that the brake fluid is low. I took it back and it turned out that the tech didn't tighten the screws on the front right tire causing the brake fluid to leak. I'm very disappointed with them and unless the owner gets a hold of me and makes it right, I'll never go back to them. read more

Came in for a tire rotation & the service was weird and disappointing to say the least. When i went to pay at the front i was very misled on the price. The lady who goes by Raydean V. first mentioned the total price was $50 as soon as she walked inside, without showing me any proof or looking at the computer at all. The website mentioned the tire rotation was $30 prior to me arriving. So i asked why the price was $50 when it was saying $30 on the website. She then said oh no never mind we can do $40 instead. She continued to negotiate the price and even tried to avoid giving me a receipt. I kept persisting that i wanted my receipt & proof of the final price because i didn't feel comfortable & i felt like something was off. She then kept misleading me about final taxes & finally gave me the receipt with a discount because she knew she screwed up and knew she wasn't able to scam me. This will be my last visit to this location & i hope this doesn't happen to anyone else because it's absolutely disgusting and deceitful to try to screw someone over. I needed my headlight replaced. I brought my own replacement bulb. When the job was completed, the young man (who had said he was new) said that if I paid cash, it would be $30, but if I charged it, it would be over $40. I had cash and paid it. I watched him pocket the money. After I left, I called another Jiffy Lube and asked them how much they would charge for this job. The man I spoke to said that if he didn't have to remove a bumper to get to it and could do it relatively quickly, he wouldn't charge. When I told him about the other location saying it was one price for cash vs. credit, he said there is no difference and that is not how it works. He said that labor is $160/hr, so if he had to enter a labor cost, he could enter something like .01 or .02 so that there would be a minimal charge. Bottom line, my headlight is fixed, but it all seems a little shady and I won't be going back to this Jiffy Lube again. read more

I had a good experience for an oil change here. Jiffy Lube was super fast and friendly. After trying the Kwik Kar, where I was told that the machine for Audi oil changes broke, and they would not be getting a new one...whaaat? Whatever. I guess so much for any Audi business. I asked for a state inspection. Worker goes to ask manager. Returns and just say "he says No". I said no for today, or until later today? The worker said "he just said no. Manager needs to be replaced I believe. This is the third day I came for a service. The second day a worker told me that the inspector left. He might be doing an errand. He didn't know. The place is dirty, unorganized, and has lost its concept of what customer service should be. I will never go to jiffy lube. Once again, this place is a severe disappointment. Took my son's 1993 Volvo 240 in for an oil change this morning at 8:45 on 7/18/2022. Only one person was working and he took his sweet time to get to me. Btw, I was the only customer there. I told him that I needed an oil change and he said it would be 9:30 or 10:00 before anyone else would show up to be able to help him. He then asked if I had my own filter as they didn't carry the filter for my car. I told him that was kind of funny as I've been getting getting my oil changed there for six years and that this has never been an issue in the past. He then proceeded to walk off mumbling under is breath. I've I was the owner I'd be upset and alarmed as I am sure this location is losing money and business. I had a great experience at this location (Brodie Ln, Austin) three days ago, Nov. 10 2022, around 3pm. I wanted only my windshield wipers changed (desperately shredded rubber and overdue) and I wanted it done quickly, didn't want to do it myself, and cold weather/rain coming next day. Tavoris, who I spoke with on phone, was already excellent, and very pleasant, and said it would be approximately $40 for the parts and all, so I chose to go in. (I priced around a little and the blades run about $15 and up PER blade (OReilly's anyway), so I thought this was fair deal. Tavoris was there, and right on it immediately. While changing them, he asked "what about your headlights?" Yes, they were terribly cloudy and hazy and I knew it. I asked how much, how long would it take, what's the product etc. ($40, 15 minutes, "True Brand" with Lifetime Guarantee.) I said "let's do it". Everyone there at the time were very helpful! I didn't get all their names (one was a supervisor, I believe?). One helping Tavoris, ("Tyler") took before and after pictures, which I asked, since I had forgotten my phone. He emailed them to me within the hour, and I am attaching images. As they stated, my headlights are crystal clear now:) Also, they happily filled my wiper fluid reservoir and checked and adjusted my tire pressure. I got my state inspection renewal here, and I highly recommend it. The first time I drove in to ask, their machines were down. It was a frustrating day because I drove to 2 more Jiffy's in the area--the one on Slaughter and the one on William Cannon. It was so annoying because it seems like their issue was a widespread company issue. Also, to clarify, the JL on Slaughter is the only one in South ATX that doesn't do state inspections. All of the other ones down here do! Their phones aren't always a reliable source, so I would suggest driving in to see them in person. Ever time I've driven in, I've always been greeted right away without even stepping outside of my car. That's awesome service! The inspection is a little over $18, so the standard. My associate who inspected my car was a wonderful lady who was very polite and did her job very efficiently. You'll be in an out under 30 minutes. The JL on Brodie also offers discounts, so mention if you're a student!! I wish they had wifi (at this location), but they're close by to some food spots like donuts and Evangeline's. It's a short walk away if you find yourself in need of a pick me up or a place to sit, since their waiting room is in tight quarters. Pro Tip: Bring a book! Jiffy Lube destroyed my car and it has been a nightmare to get a response. My wife got an oil change on 8/22/2020 and came home. Sunday she went to run an errand and got a mile or so from our house when the oil light came on, and then the engine stalled before she could respond. She then had her car towed to find out that the engine needs to be replaced. I go out to my driveway to find a large pool of oil and the oil filter a few feet from the car. A neighbor told me he heard a gushing sound when my wife left and he thought it was a spilled cup of coffee. I immediately called this location. There was not a manager on duty who could do anything. I was told a manager would get in touch with me Monday. I had to call. The manager seemed like he was gonna help, but blamed this on a defective filter. He told me their policy is that they will reimburse me for a new engine but will not provide anything to me in writing. So because Jiffy Lube screwed up I am supposed to shell out $7K for a new engine with the verbal assurance Jiffy Lube will take care of it. NO WAY! He next told me he'd get met rental car that day (Monday). It took til Wednesday. I asked if he wanted me to bring in the filter, to which he replied that pictures were good enough. He said I could bring it in if I wanted, but sounded more like he was trying to placate me. Shortly thereafter I get a random call on my phone from someone from Jiffy Lube asking for my address so that he can get the filter from me. We make plans for him to come at 1 the next day. I then called him at 1:30 to find he was delayed and told him that I will bring in this filter as soon as Jiffy Lube gives me a written assurance they will help me. I've had many more calls into the shop that lead nowhere. It seems the district manager is the only one who can make stuff happen. I was finally able to get a hold of his number. I have called many times and he has not gotten back to me or my wife. I tried the Jiffy Lube 1-800 number. That was useless. They basically are an answering service and told me that the location will respond in three days. It took til Wednesday for them to get me a rental car. I have had no communication from Jiffy Lube. The only way I knew this was a call from Enterprise. Even though Mazda has said the engine needs to be replaced and won't be in for 2 weeks, Jiffy Lube gives us a rental car for 5 days that expires on a Sunday. Sunday happens to be a day that enterprise is closed and also a day where no one at Jiffy Lube has the authority to do anything. I called yesterday to try to rectify this and yet again no response. Now we are left with a destroyed engine, an environmental disaster on our driveway and street and a very frustrating situation. Jiffy Lube will not respond. All I can do is get random updates from the mazda dealer ship about the Jiffy Lube manager visiting them twice, and trying to get Mazda to put a filter and oil in the car and see if they can get it to turn over. The techs at Mazda said there is no compression, so the engine is shot. If Jiffy Lube had responded to me in a timely manner, or even responded at all I would not be having to go to through social media and various consumer organizations. Jiffy Lube make this right. Fix my car. Pay for it up front. Clean my driveway and street! Don't make me go way out of my way to get my life back to the way it was before I brought my car to you. Also, it has taken days to get a refund for this shoddy service. I even had to request that. NO ANSWER. I ordered the clips myself to put them back on but they won't stay bc the metal piece is now warped from being dragged along. I knew jiffy lube wasn't all that, but I decided to give them another shot. I went for your standard oil change on 6/20. When the job was finished, the check engine light came on. This wasn't on prior to me going to jiffy lube. One of the guys, who changed my oil filter - Marcos, plugged a device into the car under the steering wheel. Got back a few codes, he googled it on his phone and told me it had something to do with the valves. Things just didn't add up for me because I had just driven the car to the jiffy lube and was sitting in the car, with it running, waiting for my turn without the check engine light on. It wasn't until I turned it off that something had to of happened. However, Marcos asked me 2-3 times "Are you sure the check engine light wasn't on before you got here?" I told him, no it wasn't. I'm fully aware of the condition that my car was in. He tells me "the only thing we can do it try to figure out what's wrong with it. But you'll have to take it to a mechanic to get it fixed." Like he could honestly care less about this problem that HE created! I left and immediately realized that my car wasn't exhibiting power like it was before. I would press on the gas and the car just wouldn't go. Trying to get on the highway and catch speed was nearly impossible. So I took it back and the same guy who change my oil filter looked at me with this look on his face like "uh oh." They "retraced" their steps, drained the oil again and put on another oil filter. They were able to get the check engine light to turn off. I was asked to test it out and come back. So I did, took the car for a drive and the check engine light came back on. I went back, again, and the same guy who changed my oil filter didn't even want to look my way. Knowing what he did and not wanting to say anything about it. Harper, the guy in charge at the time, contacted another guy he previously worked with saying he knew more about mechanical issues when it came to the car. So here I go, driving out to the jiffy lube off of Ben White. I pull up, talk to Chitto, and almost immediately after popping the hood he could see what the problem was. The wires next to the oil filter had been damaged. He was able to tape it up for the time being, but now I have to find a mechanic to repair the damage and pay for it up front. Hoping that jiffy lube will stand by their warranty and actually reimburse me. My question about this was, how could the other guys at the jiffy lube off of Brodie not see the wires damaged?! It's in plain view once you pop the hood! Which they did several times! It was definitely my fault for not looking either, but lesson learned! I was trying to respect the company's policy of staying in the car due to the virus. As time goes on, the same day, I'm heading back out of the house. I tried to turn the car on with the remote start but it's not working. The lights go off on the car making it seem as though something is happening with the car but it doesn't actually start. So NOW not only does my car not drive the same but also the remote start doesn't work. All because of someone's lack of attention, carelessness, jealousy, whatever you want to call it. So much for my previous praise; Jiffy Lube fell right off the pedestal I put them on. Call me crazy for sometimes centering my oil changes around things to do while I wait. The location has its limits but I'll get to that in a minute. I drove in to yet another new crew. The guys were courteous as usual when I told them what I wanted. I then strolled across the street with Little Rooster for some breakfast. I carefully watched from the place across the street while the guys worked on the cars. There were more cars in than usual; but I was impressed with the speed that each car left the bay. I returned and apparently I wasn't coming up in the system. I have had Jenny's car in three times prior and JL Version 5.0 still didn't recognize the name or license plate. Rooster and I hung out in the waiting room chatting with instant "Rooster Groupies". BATMAN! So I'm watching the car and the guys in the bay. The trained techs are completely done with the oil change I was summoned to the window with the call of the above superhero as that's Jenny's maiden name. He asked me about the air filter. He showed me and it didn't look that bad so I declined the new one. He then asked me "Do you want the good, better, best oil change?" I watched them finish the car (oil change) an even 6 minutes ago with the exception of the air filter they just reinstalled 2 minutes ago. *Are they really gonna ask me what they should charge me for whatever they just put in the car?* What if I woulda said the better? $$$$$ I would never heard a response if I would said better or best just thanks and come again as I paid the higher price. I'd be generous on the stars because of the speed. Regretfully, they also snubbed me on the multi-car discount as I still bring the ranch vehicles in back to back. I went for a pretty routine oil change after getting a brand new engine in January. This was my first ever oil change and I think this was clearly sensed by the man servicing my vehicle. Upsell after upsell and he even commented that it looked like my spark plugs haven't been touched on the whole 86,000 miles that exist on the cars frame. Radiator this and air filter that and the starting price for their "signature blend" synthetic 5W-30 being a whopping 79.99. I went in fairly meek and mild and left felt taken advantage of. I guess you live and you learn, but I can assure this Jiffy Lube that they'll never see me as a customer again. read more

Im a regular. I called in advance about getting a vehicle inspection because in the past, they have been inconsistent about having one on site. They said yes, come on over as it was wide open. So I came over and there was no inspector. Told me to sit down. So I sat down and waited. Finally the inspector came. But he attended other cars even tho I arrived first. So I let it slide. But after being passed over for the 3rd time to a young lad who just walked in and got serviced. That was it. It's not the first time when it comes to inspections. I arrived just before Saturday 8am opening as the #2 customer and waited an hour and 45 minutes just to get seen (#1 customer wasn't seen til just now either). They seem to have only one person who does inspections but they don't tell people that his hours aren't the same as their opening hours or admit when he isn't even on site. They just tell customers to line up in their cars with no info or updates. Terrible customer communication. When I mentioned at payment that all of this was a problem, it was met with compete indifference -- literally, a shrug and an "ok." Not cool. Super fast and friendly service. I went on a Wednesday, and there was no one else there when I pulled in. It felt like this took no time at all. I pulled up, told the tech who approached me what I needed, and then went inside. A minute later, another tech confirmed my services and information from the previous times I've gone to Jiffy Lube and gave me a quote. If you get any work done with Jiffy Lube, they often send you coupons for your next service, so this was affordable. I felt like I sat for only 5 minutes while I tried to figure out what was on TV when I got called up by the first tech to pay and go home. I went to get my car inspection here and had an awful customer service experience. I pulled up the back and was told by a technician to go to the front, park, leave my keys inside the car and wait as it will take about 30mins. I then went inside waited over an hour and another person who arrived after I got their inspection finished sooner and faster than me meaning they totally overlook and skipped my car. The organization and management here are awful. Every person that works here gives their own instructions and they don't communicate among themselves to better assist the customers.
