Been waiting for over an hour. My vehicle still hasn't moved. Was told it should not take more than 45 minutes. Update: Ended up waiting for over an hour and a half. Then when they finally got to my car, they wouldn't even inspect it because there were a few grease spots on my engine and on a few hoses. Left furious and frustrated. Drove around for 20 minutes and found a place that had me in and out with a passed inspection in less than 15 minutes. I hope anyone with lawsuits against jiffy lube wins their case. This was my first time getting my oil changed. My husband usually does it. I pulled up to the bay and almost immediately, someone met me at my car and asked what I needed. They were friendly and professional and even walked me to the waiting area and held the door open for me. Classy. I was there awhile as there were many people ahead of me, but I expected that. There were plenty of refreshments, clean bathroom and television to keep me comfortable. They even vacuumed out my car and cleaned my windows! I wasn't expecting that. Every time I get an oil change I come here and the staff are really nice and patient with me when I am trying to explain anything new I've experienced with my Jeep. I'll usually drive up drop off my Jeep walk over to Lofty dog and look around and when i get back she is all ready to go. They often have coupons that they give to help cut some of the cost and I am all about saving money so that is always really nice! The staff is friendly and helpful and I have had no issues so I will continue to take her in to them whenever I need anything. read more

I called this location at 4:30 asking if they'd do an inspection. The guy said yes but only if I got to them before 5 pm. So I asked off work early to take care of it and rushed over there, arriving at 4:45 pm. When I arrived, the technician told me they had stopped doing inspections for the day. I told him that I had just been told to come over before 5. He said fine and took my keys. They almost immediately proceeded to do the inspection--driving it, etc.--but then parked the vehicle and it sat there... for more than an hour. It took almost 2 hours just to do an inspection on a 1 year old vehicle. This is not about the line in front of me because clearly they did the inspection right away. I suspect it was pettiness on the technician's part because I insisted on getting it done after being told on the phone they'd do it if I rushed over before 5. If they had just told me it would be 2 hours up-front, it would have saved both of us a lot of time and trouble. read more

I have been here more than once, but this time I left without service. Heads up their asses! My Girlfriend and I both pulled up on a Friday (before noon) and no one greeted us... The lady who I think had that job of greeting, was out in the parking lot sweeping. So after waiting about 15 minutes more people came in and basically cut the line, but we're not being helped either. So... We left! I went down the street to Valvoline on Slaughter and WOW! I was very pleased with my experience at Jiffy lube. I had my oil changed on Friday. Asked them to check the filters. The battery was corroded, so I asked them to clean it.. They did and the truck wouldn't start. They tried jumping it, to no avail. The manager went to buy a terminal, and replaced the old corroded one at no cost. His name is Matthew, one of many good people there. I'm grateful I stopped when I did, I prevented a big problem. read more

I have been going to this jiffy lube for a long time now, and have ALWAYS had great service. Today I went it for a routine oil change. I had a semi-expensive e-cigarette, I paid $75 for it. It was on my floor board when I went in, and they do the routine oil change which includes a vacuum of your floor boards. When I got back into the car, I get about a mile down the road and see that it's missing. I search my entire car and couldn't find it. So, I call them and ask if they have it, which they take a moment to look, then say "it's right next to the freaking vacuum, we have it." I understand that mistakes happen, but what I don't understand is why anything was taken out of my vehicle in the first place. All of the other belongings that were on the floor board where put onto my passenger seat. It's sad to say, but I will not be returning to a place that operates this way. read more

It's either too early in the day, too late in the day, the state inspector is at lunch (11:00), the machine is down or some other line of crap. Please just say "we don't want to waste our time doing inspections". Then take the damn state inspection sign off your building!!!! Let me start by saying I don't visit Jiffy Lubes often. I feel much more secure visiting my dealership for an oil change. So what it's a few more bucks? Jiffy Lube has upset me a time or two in the past-so I normally just skip it. But today I was going for convince....and convince I did not find! As I sit and write this I am whittling away time so I can go BACK to this Jiffy Lube. Back you say, why's that? I took my car in at 7:30 this morning for a routine oil change and an inspection. While I was at the gym they took "great care" of my car. When I go to pick up the car they inform me that I have failed inspection because of my wiper blades. A quick fix, they assure me, right down the road is an Auto Zone! Pay now for your services, then come back with your receipt. Then we can give you your inspection sticker. Plus, we have taken care of the oil change already. Off to purchase wiper blades I go...and as I go I notice I do not have a new service sticker on the windshield nor have they re-set the "oil-life" on my car's computer. Once back with hot new blades I mention the lack of sticker and re-set of the computer. They assure me they will change that and give me the inspection sticker. "Just have a seat." they say! 30mins later I'm grumpy and ask what the hold up is. I am informed there are 3 cars in front of me and then they can get to my car. Remember, I've already paid for all this. So I leave to start my day because it's 9:30 now. I will go back later today to finish up my awesome visit to Jiffy Lube. read more

I just had my car inspected at jiffy lube and they failed my car for bad wiper blades. So i go get some new ones put on, and I'm back within 5 minutes and they tell me it's a hour wait just to put a sticker on my car. This is right after they said just bring it right back and they will take care of me. Worst customer service ever! Don't go there! WHEN A VEHICLE FAILS A STATE INSPECTION, THE INSPECTOR IS REQUIRED BY STATE LAW TO INFORM THE CUSTOMER OF EXACTLY WHY THE VEHICLE WAS FAILED. THIS PROCEDURE WAS NOT FOLLOWED. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!! Went for state auto inspection, cashier called me up and said I was ready to go. As I was paying, he said "no wait, your tires failed inspection". I agreed to purchase new ones at Discount Tires (in the same shopping center). Cashier said "no problem, come back and we'll put you first in line for the inspection sticker". Purchased the new tires, came back and was told "wait, your car also failed the emissions test, you'll have to take it to an auto shop for repairs". CONCLUSION: The cashier told me that my car was ready to go and then told me the tires had failed inspection as I was paying. Upon returning with new tires, I was told that the car had also failed the emissions test. This consumer will not be returning to the Manchaca Road Jiffy Lube for anything. read more

I tend to come here for oil changes since it is so close to my house. I have had mixed experiences at this location some good, some bad. Customer service and super long wait times seem to be the main areas of improvement. This most recent visit will most certainly be my last. Again, a customer service issue. Their rep Jeremy needs to be taught the basics of customer service and how to make a customer feel welcomed. There are SO many other places to go get your oil changed and whenever you pull up, get out of the car and say "Hey how's it going?" to the approaching employee you'd expect some kind of response, not a blank stare. It was not noisy or windy and he clearly heard me just did not respond. Then when explaining what you want checked on the car you should not be made to feel like you are ruining someone's day just because you are there to spend money. A simple smile and "What can we do for you today?" can totally change someone's outlook on a business. I understand people have bad days but this has been fairly consistent at this location. I have been here for over an hour now and the employees here seem to have no idea how to run their computer systems. I was brought out of the waiting area and asked what codes to enter into the computer as if I worked there and knew what was going on. I asked if it was their first day on the job and they replied "No, I just need a cigarette". Another customer just left furious that the employees did not know how to change his transmission fluid and were consulting the owners manual. This place is a madhouse. If your customer service and wait times both suck and there has been zero improvement over the past 12 months then people are going to choose to go elsewhere, just me like. It's Saturday. My only day off this week. I figured I could stop by this jiffy lube and grab a quick oil change. I pull up and only two of the three lanes are being used. Already a bad sign. I request an oil change for the service attendant and he tells me it'll be an hour wait. I somewhat expected this and didn't mind to much, as it was still early In the day for me to run more errands after. It has now been an hour, and they still have yet to pull my car into the garage. They let people leave their vehicles and come back hours later causing a longer wait time for those customers like me who don't have the luxury to just leave and come back. I've received great service here before, but today was not one of those days. I'd love the time back that this jiffy has stolen away from my day. read more

Stopped in for oil change (usually these types of oil change shops are quick), pulled up to one of the oil change lanes. There was a guy vacuuming a truck in the next bay over. He looked up with disgust when he saw me pull up. He was a mgr as per his shirt tag, forgot his name. Didn't come over right way, maybe 4 or 5 minutes. But when he came over he kind of rude, I should of left, but I didnt. He said ,We will get to it when we get to it, couldn't give me a time estimate but should be quick. Well about 20 min went by and a girl tech said you can sit inside the air conditioned waiting room & one of the techs will pull it in the shop. So I sat inside. Finally the truck was pulled inside. They changed the oil & filter. Paid the bill. Drove away. Oil change was not the problem, the problem was the attitude of the mgr right off the bat, being rude. The wait time was the next problem about 1 hour & 20 minutes, shouldn't take that long at a fast lube joint. If there is going to be long wait, should be told ahead of time. Would not come back to this store, too many choices out there to be treated the way I was treated. read more

I do not have an issue with Jiffy Lube in general (where I have got excellent service over the years), but I will certainly not return to Jiffy Lube Service Center 9919 Manchaca Rd, Austin, TX 78748; Ph: (512) 292-917. I went in for service as follows (i) Oil & Filter change (ii) Headlight bulb change on my Chrysler T&C Minivan. At checkout, the manager informed me that they completed (i), but they decided not to do (ii). I asked him whether it was because he did not have the tools or training. His response was, he had the tools & people trained, but they just did not want to spend the time doing it. Is this the way to run a business ? Is this what you call Customer Service ? I have tried to get my inspection done at this Jiffy Lube on THREE separate occasions! All were during business hours and each time was another excuse! The first time was a Saturday afternoon and that they were too busy and I should come back after work Monday. The SECOND time was Monday after work when I arrived at 515 they said they couldn't do it because the inspection person leaves at 4 though the guy that told me Saturday to come back made NO MENTION of this. The THIRD time was this Saturday morning I arrived at 930 and the man told me that I would have to wait until 1030 until the inspection person came in and AFTER all the oil changes were done. This place is right next to my house so that is why I tried patiently to use them! I have also tried to call each time in advance and they have NOT ONCE answered their phone! I went to get my car inspected last week at (Pep Boys) and they had my car all day and did not inspect it because I wouldn't pass becasue I hadn't got the brake work that they suggested last time I was there. So I took it to Jiffy Lube at 6:30 at night, they were friendly had a nice little waiting room with the tv on and water and coffee. They inspected my car and it passed with "bad" brakes and all. I went in during my lunch break to get an inspection. They had an hour wait, which sucked, but it is the norm when you have to wait to go in the afternoon. It ended up taking more than an hour; however, that's because they found that one of my headlights was out and had to replace it. They quoted me 12.99 for the headlight. When I went to check out, they said the headlight they used ended up being twice the cost, but since 12.99 was what I was quoted, they discounted it down to the original price I was told. Awesome.
