They have kids working here learning on the job, I'd stay clear of these Valvoline places. I did contact this location and spoke to Emily the manager and she told me that my claim will be denied. That I waited too long lol what?! Also that I took it to two repair shows. The first one doesn't repair diffs so I had to take it to a second place. She, Emily the manager, didn't deny it was their fault, just that those are the reasons. PATHETIC! Whomever is reading this, BEWARE of this place and Valvoline. First of all, they are way overpriced. Second of all, they aren't very knowledgeable. Third, they are just stubborn and won't work with you on how you want to approach the issue with your vehicle, even when they are recommending stuff that has nothing to do with the issue that brought you in. My car had a coolant issue and was overheating. I had already heard bad things about this place but I took my car there bc it is quite close to my house and you can't go far on a car that overheats. They charged $100 just to even look at it and got absolutely nowhere on the overheating issue. They recommended that I start by changing both batteries, for about $400 a pop. They acknowledged that there is almost zero chance this was causing the issue but wanted to press on anyway so that they "get proper computer readings". They had no clue why it was overheating. I have a German car and I know they're not worked on in every shop so I'm sympathetic to that. These guys insisted that their mechanic grew up in Germany and this was absolutely the way to go. They refused to try anything else unless I bought new batteries from them. So I fired them. Best decision I've made in a long time. In fairness, they were extremely polite to me when I came to pick up my car and give them their $100 (which I maintain was paid for absolutely zero benefit to me). I limped the car to Autobahn (formerly Bosch Auto) on the other side of I69. They assessed the issue (for free), replaced the coolant reservoir (it had leaked), and identified that the overheating was a gasket issue, which they also replaced. My car is working tip top now and the whole bill was $1,600. Christian brothers wanted me to get to $900 before they even started to address the actual issue that brought me in!! And they wouldn't take no for an answer. Just kept fighting with me on the phone until I gave up on them. The car has been running beautifully since I picked it up. And btw, still has the same batteries that Christian brothers wanted to take out and replace, which had nothing to do with the overheating or the empty coolant reservoir. Thanks Auobahn! Booooo Christian Brothers.

Once we left the shop we wernt sure how comfortable we would feel driving 2 hours back home. We looked up a tire shop and saw Big O tires was just 12 mins from us. We walked into the shop and they were amazing from start to finish. Nicole was professional, so wonderful to talk, very informative, and literally all around great. They were able to balance the tires, re mount them, and make sure they were torqued on the car. Nicole wasnt the only great worker there. The two technicians there were also wonderful and knee their job! We wish we lived closer because this easily would be our go to tire shop! I showed up without an appointment to have my breaks checked. They were able to get me in right…read moreaway. They checked out my brakes, found out what was wrong and was able to diagnosis the issue. They explained the issue thoroughly and also pointed out some other issues with my vehicle that needed to be addressed. They actually showed me on the vehicle what was wrong and I saw and understood it. I did not feel any pressure to get any of the work done, which was a pleasant surprise. I opted to get the brakes fixed and they were not busy so they took care of it right there. I hung out in their waiting area which has free wifi, a phone charging station, and basic cable on television. I was not there long. I would say about an hour and a half. The staff there was friendly informative and very helpful. After my brake job was done, they gave me a printout with the other work that needed to be done and estimates for each. My visit here was refreshing. I normally hate going to car repair shops because I feel that most of them take advantage of you. I did not feel that here. I knew that I needed brakes and it was a reasonable price (they gave me some discounts). They also did not try to up sell or pressure me to getting more work done.

We appreciate how the management is working here, how when a technician pulled the truck out they heard tire rub (which is normal on a 2500 sized truck with wide tires on it)but the manger immediately checked on it to make sure that everything was alright with the truck. Then every employee waved and cheered as i left angry, embarrassed, and discriminated against for being female. Is this how a business is supposed to run?
