One said I need this, this and that and the other said no you dont. I did have them do some ac work. They forgot to put the hood cover back on for the engine so I had to go back. From a Rough Start to a Positive Resolution…read more I brought my vehicle to Mavis to have a rear wiper blade replaced. During the service, the technician removed the blade and the assembly broke immediately. I was told afterward that the part was "brittle" and that I would need to pay for the replacement. What was disappointing is that the wiper was working perfectly fine before I brought it in for service and only failed during removal. I've been going to Mavis for years, which is why this experience was especially frustrating. While I understand older parts can be fragile, I feel there should have been better communication upfront about the risk or more accountability for what happened during the service. Given that the wiper was fully functional before the service and failed immediately during removal, I expected some responsibility or goodwill adjustment from the shop. Because of this experience, I do not plan on returning to this location. I hope future customers are made aware when parts may be at risk during service so expectations are clearer. Review update After speaking with the team, Mavis agreed to replace the rear wiper arm assembly at no cost, and I truly appreciate them making the situation right. I've been a longtime customer, so it meant a lot that they listened to my concerns and worked with me toward a fair resolution.
