This Jiffy Lube Lube location is truly a downgrade from it's former incarnation as a Quick Stop Oil Change. I found the staff at Quick Stop to be friendly and honest. The service was fast and efficient. I tried the new Jiffy Lube soon after it opened. I brought in my Mom's Honda Accord for an oil change. As in most Jiffy Lubes, I waited until my car was looked at. I waited quite a while. Finally, the manager told me the price for the oil change would be $99.99! When I told the manager that the price was too high, he did not give me any other options. When I said I would take my car and my business elsewhere, the manager told me that it was too late, the car was already on the track and ready to get the oil. It was only when I still insisted on leaving that the manager suddenly reduced the price to $40. At that point I just wanted to get out of there! Due to me and re-locating where I live this jiffy Lube is the closest to my house and I wish it was not the only option. This service is extremely slow. Slower than any other Jiffy Lube I've been to. Without haggling and/or a coupon, this place will sell you the MOST EXPENSIVE oil change in the USA. Be ready. They charge more than the dealership. $99 plus tax for full synthetic plus $25 for tire rotation. On the plus side the service is fast. What irritated me the most is they charge more than the amount disclosed in the Groupon fine print. They are not a trustworthy company. Jiffy Lube= Where NOT to take your car! I went in for a simple oil change and as always I needed more... I know to say no to transmissions flush/refill & coolant flush/refill but this time they said my front brakes were bad and needed replaced along with the rotors. I was already concerned about them (only because I couldn't remember changing them...ever) so I said ok to another $400. In the middle of the job I noticed my rear tires off of my car. I asked the mechanic, why are the rear tires removed when you are replacing my front brakes. He said it was always the rear brakes, I said no you insisted my front brakes were bad and that's why I paying you. He said the job was already done so I must pay before you leave. Funny thing I went here to get the oil change on my sons car and they started telling me I needed to flush the brake fluid and I also needed to clean out the transmission fluid. My bill all of a sudden was going from $68 to $379. Needless to say I only did the oil change. Be careful because these places are not about oil changes anymore, sure their front is the oil change to bring you in. Once you are there their ultimate goal is to up sell you on everything. By the time you are done you have spent hundreds of dollars. I wanted to add that then I get a generic response to send them the contact information to correct the problem. Its the same response for everyone here. There is nothing to correct for me since I just did the oil change and will not be going back but for your future customers try to stop up selling them on everything and really offer them what they need instead of letting them know if you do it now I'll give you 10% off so they have the fear of loss and do the job. Needless to say I went today and took my car to Valvoline to do an oil change and what I got was just that and great service, no up sell. They don't do anything that says on the checklist that has been done , like for example: tire pressure check, vacuum floors, wash exterior windows, check wiper blades, etc. They say "completed" but they don't actually do it. DO NOT take your Toyota here. I took my 2009 Rav4 to this location with no issues. I was told after paying "your alternator seems to be going bad, your car is not starting correctly" After they told me they disconnected the battery I instantly knew they did not do the "Idle Relearn" that is necessary after disconnecting ting the battery for this car. They wanted to check my alternator in hopes to fix it and once I got my car on it was not idling correctly at all! I push it into gear and got it to the nearest parking space, performed the standard Toyota "Idle relearn" and within minutes my car was operating fine. I had to check the engine and reconnect my vacuum hose as well. I called to let the staff know that I was able to resolve my issue and to spread the word about the relearn and I was told "There was a light blinking, and we checked your alternator, it's your alternator" I was not given a chance to help future customers with Toyota (this is not the first time a jiffy lube has made this mistake.) I just came in for an oriole change during the coronavirus pandemic. The experience was great everyone was covered with masks leave and had air-conditioning for my car while I stayed inside. I got to tell you this was a great experience compared to other Jiffy Lube's that I've been to. My 20 year old daughter needed an oil change so I sent her to Jiffy Lube in Davie as I have been there several times in the past. I am shocked and disappointed after hearing of her experience. First they charged her $99 for an oil change on a 4 cyl Jetta. Then an $8 overage fee for extra oil. $107 for an oil change? But they were not finished yet. They told her the brakes were bad and needed replaced. They then told her " your lucky there are no hills here so you can get by with getting no breaks" when she called me and I told her to decline the service. Gave her a quote for $199 per brake. $800 for brakes? I took the car to our local mechanic who inspected the brakes and said the front brakes were at 50% and the back brakes at 75%. No need for brakes now. The fact you would pressure a young girl into unnecessary repairs is unethical and appalling. This is a warning to others and especially women beware of these con artists. read more

They are thieves and only care about trying to scam as much money out of you as possible when you don't need repairs and don't even do the work you end up paying for. I took my Jeep Wrangler in because the engine was making a strange noise. I had just had an oil change but they insisted that I had the "wrong" oil in my Jeep. They told me that they removed that oil and insisted I could only put the most expensive oil in my Jeep. Not knowing and trusting them I agreed to it. After that they also tried to tell me I needed all of these other things done which would have had me walking out with a bill of about $1500. I said no and told them I just wanted the oil change. $95 later I get in my car and the engine is still making the noise and they tell me I just have to wait for the oil to make it's way through the engine and it will stop. Skip now to 2 weeks later, my car is still making the ticking noise and I take it to a Firestone and they tell me there is NO oil in the car and that my engine could have exploded because I have been driving it without oil. Long story short they are just interested in selling you things you don't need and don't even do the work you pay for! Don't waste your time there! read more

We called ahead to confirm they can do an oil change on a Cayman Porsche, they said yes. When we arrived, they said they couldn't do it as they don't have the appropriate oil filter but if we buy the filter and bring it they would do the oil change. When we arrived the following week with a filter, they informed us that they didn't have the appropriate tools and couldn't do the oil change. Totally understand not doing oil changes on this car, really frustrating that they were so poorly informed about their own facilities and wasted our time twice. We own two vehicles and will find another place to service both. Compounded with the fact that they are located in the Whole Foods shopping center which only has one exit, be prepared to spend about 5 to 10 minutes just exiting the parking lot. read more

Took my 2016 Hyundai Elantra there for routine oil change. Recommended that I get the coolant/transmission flush which is a recommended Hyundai service for the amount of milage I had on my car. Made the mistake of letting them do that work. Almost $500 later, I leave the shop and within 5 minutes of leaving the shop I hear this loud scrapping noise. Turns out they never fastened the engine shield on correctly so I had to drive back to the shop and have them fix that. P.S. 6 weeks later, I am on my way home from work and my car overheats. I call AAA and take car to Hyundai dealership and find that my car's thermostat is locked in the closed position and that I need a coolant flush. I thought I had had that done 6 weeks earlier at Jiffy Lube?? Plus now I find out that Coolant fan is not working correctly and need that replaced also. Shouldn't JL have seen this when they were working on my car or did they damage my car while doing these recommended repairs?? Never again!! read more

I recently went to this establishment for just an oil change. I have a fleet vehicle and just signed off on the oil change on the bottom of the sheet. They called the fleet company and did a tire rotation, wiper blade change, and air filter change. They did not ask me at all. The air filter was just two months old and the wipers were less than 10 days old. I had to raise a scene in the waiting room to get them to go into the rubbish and get my old, really good rainex blades, and put them back on. All in all they hit my company up for over 100.00. I have now suggested that our fleet of 43 vehicles not be allowed to used this service in the future. read more

STAY AWAY I came in for a routine oil change. I get called to the garage and was told a laundry list of things that MUST be done asap. The price tag was $980. I was there for less than 5 mins. Half of the items I had done just 6 months prior so I know for sure they are full of crap. Came here for an oil change using a Groupon voucher. Was greeted immediately and car was taken back. Gentleman came over after about 5 minutes to tell me my options for oil type and their recommendations. Most people get intimated (most females I should say) but he was very nice and helpful. After using the Groupon it came to $53 with all fees that made sense. I would definitely come back here. Out in under 20 min! read more

DO NOT EVER GO TO THIS LOCATION. BUYER BEWARE! The email I just sent corporate speaks for itself. I am cutting and pasting the email in its entirety here: I went to Jiffy Lube on Saturday for an oil change. The staff was very nice and helpful. A female had initially met with me and took all our information and my car was ready in a very reasonable amount of time. While my car was worked on, I walked to a nearby grocery store and accidentally had my ringer off. I had checked off the box to have my windshield wiper blades looked at, but when I got back, the technician said that since I didn't answer my phone, he had REPLACED all my windshield wiper blades. I explained that I had just wanted my windshield wiper blades CHECKED, not replaced. The technician was nice and said he would only charge me for the back blade, which I did know I needed replaced. (The front 2 blades had been replaced about a month prior so while I wanted them inspected, I would never have agreed to pay for new ones.). We then left Jiffy Lube, happy thus far, and about 5 minutes from my home (I live about 20 minutes away), my check battery light came on in my vehicle. I called Jiffy Lube and advised that we were coming back and wanted the car inspected as to what the problem was. My husband drove the car back and when he got to Jiffy Lube, was advised that my alternator was no longer working and that it would be $435 to have it fixed. Thank goodness he told me as I told him to ask the technician if the car was driveable and when they said no, we had to have it towed to Honda because I have a Honda warranty which fully covers a new alternator. I believe that one of the technicians even tried telling my Husband that Honda would NOT cover the alternator but thankfully, I did verify with Honda that the alternator would be fully covered. Upon arrival at Honda and after inspection, I was advised that there was NOTHING WRONG WITH MY VEHICLE and that the battery sensor had been UNPLUGGED. I have kept both the invoice from Jiffy Lube and the invoice from Honda where the Honda technician put in writing that the battery sensor had been unplugged should you need copies of either of those documents. I then called the Jiffy Lube site manager, Avitum Maharajh, and advised I would be filing a formal complaint with corporate today. I am disgusted and do not feel there was any type of coincidence as to what happened to my vehicle. Mr. Maharajh advised me he has been the manager there for 14 years and that his shop has 40 cameras. I expect a full investigation into this immediately and would like to be contacted as a follow up once someone has inspected the video footage. The invoice is clocked in on 5/27/17 at 11:02 am.
