!!WARNING!! Save your money, and go to Valvoline!!!! We loved jiffy lube until our experience with this location today. Customer service sucks. As soon as we got there we saw one of the guys mopping didn't even acknowledge us at all. He looked up, and carried on mopping like there's no car sitting there waiting. We were so close to turn around and go somewhere else to do our oil change, but we decided to just give it a chance. Then we saw the mopping guy slowly made his way into the office to get the other guy mopping the office to come out with him to our car. Prior to coming to this place I looked up jiffy lube coupons for this specific location, and I found a $10 off oil change coupon. We told the guy about the coupon, and he said don't worry he'll take off $10 when it's time to pay. After the oil change he gave us a form to sign that shows everything that they checked, and the total to pay. We asked the guy about the $10 coupon, he took the form and then was like, "oh yeah I forgot to tell you guys that the coupon doesn't work with this location. Like really? Wasn't only that. If the boss didn't get there on time we would've left with no oil change sticker. The guy said they ran out of stickers, and the boss said yes they do inside the office. Ugh! Of all my experience with Jiffy lube Not once I had a bad service like today. It's sad it's the only jiffy lube closer to us, but now I'm thinking of doing oil change for my two cars somewhere else other than jiffy lube. Valvoline here we come! read more

I chose to go here because I was in a time crunch and couldn't make an appointment at another place before going out of town. I won't be coming back here. I paid over $70 for thier "signature service" which is supposed to be a check and fill of all fluids, a vacuum of the interior, and a exterior window clean. I got none of that. The employee there didn't seem like he even wanted to be there and just tried to get me out as quick as possible. I don't even really want to give them a star at all. Went there this afternoon and the mechanic told me to come back in a hour. So I went and ran some more errands and came back in a hour and a half, just to give them a couple of extra minutes. So, when I got back there, they told me that it would be another hour on top of the hour that they all ready told me before. They said that they were short handed and they were working on a three hour brake job. I asked to speak to a manger and they told me that the manger was not around. I wish I could give this place a zero. I will never ever go to this place. My vehicle uses seven quarts of oil. I was charged for eight quarts of oil. I never noticed this until a few days later while reading my repair bill. The guy was pressing me for synthetic oil which is recommended as of 2010. If you need synthetic then ask what kind they use. I was never asked thinking there was only one kind. I was wrong because they used Super Synthetic which is the most expensive per quart. The guy tells me my air filter is really dirty. I didn't buy an air filter because I can replace that. So I get home and it's hardly dirty in fact it looks new. This place is a total rip off. Read your owners manual and stick to your guns. Don't let them talk you into something you don't require. Know your rights as a consumer. If you feel cheated then report them to the Bureau of Automotive Repair. Stay away from this place. I believe the shady business is what the owner and manager want so therefore they push the service repair people to push unneeded products. New crew at El Norte Jiffy Lube! I have been there many times in the past, for convenience purposes only. I was there six months ago and it took nearly an hour to get my car back. Not so "jiffy" in my opinion. They were also a bit aggressive in trying to upsell products and services. I went back this morning, again just needing to get my car serviced, and was pleasantly surprised by Rich, who was running the show. He seemed genuinely concerned with attention to detail and explained the other services included with the oil change. My car was done in less than 25 minutes and nicely vacuumed. Their payment system happened to be down at the time, so I had to run to the bank for cash, but was rewarded with a discount for my trouble. I will definitely be back, NOT for convenience but for the speedy service and friendly and knowledgeable staff led by Rich. Give it a try! read more

What ever happened to the employee Tony ive gone in a couple times and im afraid the custoner service has left. With him i used to get the most each visit when he helped me answer questions or lack of k owledge in a car . Now ive been receiving poor customer service. I came here before and they lost my oil cap. Didn't take responsibility for it. Currently here again, making sure they don't lose it again, but can't help but realize David is lazy af. Like this kid has no want of being at work lol. I'm glad he's not underneath helping with actual work... wanted to also add that I get synthetic oil, and they told a lady they would give her the synthetic blend price because they didn't have it at the moment. The service from Sergio G at the Escondido El Norte location. Was excellent . First I accidentally left my purse in the car and he kindly gave it to me without me even asking .... Anyways I came for an oil change and tire rotation but he noticed a few things along the way . He took me step by step through everything , showed me where the leak was and my brake pads etc. But didn't try to up sell me (as most places do) . Instead he gave me a time frame on when I should get these other services done. He was so kind and patient and on top of it. He even gave me a discount at the end of all of it. This Jiffy Lube has completely gone downhill since Lance left. The employees / service techs come and go as they please and are more concerned with something other than doing their job. The waiting room was filthy and in disarray. I come in here every other month to have my oil changed and have been doing so for over 3 years. I wouldn't think of going anywhere else! $30 for an oil change and lube, my truck floor was always vacuumed and my windows were always washed. The waiting room was always clean and organized and the techs "appeared" to care, they always did a great job with customer approval in mind. After today's service and total disregard of customer appreciation, NOT cleaning my windows, NOT vacuuming the floor of my truck AND charging me $40!, I WILL NOT BE BACK. They lost a loyal customer. So I went in this morning to give them the benefit of the doubt. To see if their practices have changed. I asked for a simple oil change and how much for my wife's 2010 Toyota Corolla. The guy ask me for the specs on the car and year. He tells me it requires a synthetic oil change because of the year...all 2010 and up require synthetic he says. Now I respect up sell pushes but to look me in the eye and feed that BS is what pissed me off. If he would have been honest and said "hey why not get synthetic it is better for your car" (I know it is) Not everyone is ignorant when it comes to cars. While synthetic is always recommended it's never a must for most. I simply walked out of there. Go to Mike's Mechanic Shop or USA Smog and Complete Auto Repair. At least there they're straight up. Jiffy Lube has a bad reputation for a reason I suppose it hasn't changed. Glad I have yet to get any of my cars serviced there. Got a simple oil change here two weeks ago. The next day I noticed an oil spot under the car. The car is only a year old and near had a leak before. I took it in and they checked it. They said everything was OK and it was probably blow-back. Well, over the next week and a half the spot got bigger. Took it in today and they said the drain plug was leaking and the replaced it. Asked them the best way to get the oil spot stain out of the driveway and they had no idea. Will never go here again for anything. read more

So, I'm giving this 5 stars simply because of Jose. This morning before i was to start my errands, i noticed my car battery was dead. I only live right across the street from this location so i immediately called and asked if it was possible for a mechanic to come over to my apartment complex because i didn't want to spend money on towing my car literally across the street. Within 5 minutes, Jose came walking over to my complex with a jumper for my car. He tried to jump start it multiple times but it kept dying. He went back to the office and came back within 15 min with a new battery and he installed it right there, in my parking lot. His services were VERY quick and convenient for me. He didn't have to walk back and forth from the offices to my apartments but he did. Super thankful ! Saved me a whole lot of time and money. read more

Like some of the reviews state, there was no one to greet me. I waited around for a couple of minutes. Leon finally decided to come out to write up my service order. Leon is a stoic fellow who doesn't say much and needs to improve his customer service skills. I've been satisfied with my past experiences at this location so I overlooked this detail. Looking back, I should have left after this happened. I must add the following disclaimers: 1) I am a pushover when it comes to dealing with customer service folks. I can empathize with their side of things as I worked in retail for 5 years and customer support for another 5. 2) Jiffy Lube charges about the same price as the Honda dealer. If Jiffy Lube wants to charge dealer prices then they should provide the same level of service. So here is what expected to receive : 1) Filter and oil change . Same as car dealer 2) The car was to be vacuumed. I don't know if this is factored into the price or thrown in for Free. Still it's value add in my opinion 3) Clean windows. Again, don't know if it is factored into the price or thrown in for Free. Still it's value add in my opinion. What I received: 1) Oil change. Good so far 2) Replace Filter. Not an OE version but I understand the need to reduce cost. 3) Vacuum interior. Only driver side done. OK not so happy. Miffed 4) Clean windows. Some road grime still visible but better I could actually see the road. The estimate from the dealer for an oil change that day was a few hours. Jiffy Lube got it done in about 30 min. I went to work the next day thinking good things about Jiffy Lube. I pulled out of my driveway oblivious to the oil stain that sat on my driveway . I noticed the stain when I returned home. It was past the Jiffy Lube closing time so I decided to do a quick check of the chassis. My blood pressure rose as I crouched under the front of the car and saw a small oil drop visible near the oil pan. Now I'm pissed. I open the garage and start uttering expletives as I jack the car up. I am hoping the oil is just residue from when the oil was drained/or the filter removed but failed to be cleaned by the technician. Leon... ARGH! So now I am spending 30 minutes under my car to clean up Jiffy Lube's mess. I cleaned the oil from the chassis and oil filter and have to wait to see if the leak is there in the morning. Jiffy Lube, customer service is built on exceeding customer expectations with employees who understand, and can at the very least ,follow these values. I don't normally write reviews but I felt compelled to share this experience. I would not recommend any one using this Jiffy Lube location. read more

So i go in for an oil change in the morning . Was told it will be a 1hr wait . And they also offered me to rotate my wheels so i said yes. And i leave my car with them and several hours passed i still didnt get a call back saying my car is finished and ready to be picked up. So i waited like 1 or 2 hours before they closed and i had to give them a calll to ask if its ready . And it was ready but they never called me even though they have my number. . When i picked up my car and driving it on the highway i noticed my wheels wernt balanced . (When you rotate your wheels they need to be balanced aswell) so i called in the next day and was told they dont have the machine to balance them... IF YOU DONT HAVE THE PROPER TOOLS TO DO A JOB .DONT CHARGE PEOPLE FOR IT OR EVEN OFFER TO DO IT...... read more
