Came in on a Saturday because the blower motor in my car went out and let me start by saying that the mechanics themselves did a good job and i have no problem with them. The assistant manager is the one who greeted me outside and at first it was all pleasant tells me that's probably what it is but they need to do the diagnostic test to make sure...ok fine...comes to me with an estimate over $1000 for a blower motor AM says well if you do it today I'll take off the diagnostic and a half hour of labor Ok cool brings it down to like 886 so i said go ahead I asked him for a copy of the new estimate and there was an attitude...he said because i was using the financing he couldn't take off that stuff now because corporate wouldn't allow him. Told him well then i wouldn't have agreed to to the service so magically it changed again...went home and shortly after they called me saying the car was ready...show back up and i look over at the screen and my name is on there and a total of $1197 and I'm like "what's that" and there's just another guy there who had to get the AM he comes in and I'm like "what's that" and I'm like well that's a far ways off from the total you gave me before and he again started giving me a song and dance about corporate and the financing and that they pulled the wrong part for something...well sorry that's not my problem and i can understand a difference in an estimate 10-20$ even maybe $50 but $300? No sorry...you tried to swindle the wrong one today sir...and after i called him on it the attitude i got was absurd i could never act like that at work because i wouldn't have a job after that and frankly neither should he. Hi guys and Senior citizens PLEASE BE AWARE of this location. My mom purchased 4 tires from them last week and unfortunately was stuck on I-20 twice yesterday due to a flat. She got assistance both times, however the tire continued to go flat. My mom is in her late 60's and living in another state so its not comforting to know she was stuck on the side of the hwy. She returned to Jiffy only to be told she had to pay for another installation plus a "hazard warranty" for another tire. I spoke with the rude manager on the ph who immediately got defensive and accused me of over talking him. Im only trying to get understanding as to this additional charge, only to be told "HE DOESN'T MAKE THE RULES". I was never rude or did I raise my voice. He also didn't seem to take accountability for the faulty tire claiming he saw nothing wrong with the first tire. Funny as my mother would rather do other things, on a Saturday, than sit in a smelly tire shop lying about a flat tire. If the tire was good why did it continue to go flat. Customer service has gone to piss these days. So its my understanding they're ok with selling a bad tire, so when you come in to fix it they'll collect additional monies from you and blame it on THE RULES. This is a scam!!! Develop customer service skills and stop scamming women and Seniors. There should've been an easy replacement of the tire at NO additional charge and send my sweet mom on her way. I'm not normally one to care to leave negative reviews but I have had 2 awful experiences at this Jiffy Lube and would not recommend it to anyone. I took it in a couple months ago to have them check out my AC and change my transmission fluid. They ran diagnostics and said they needed to order an AC compressor. They then began to cycle the transmission fluid and then their machine broke. So at this point I had been there 3 hours and was $1200 in so I told them to finish up and I would bring it back when they have the part and get their machine fixed. I went to drive off and it turns out some genius didn't put transmission fluid back in my truck so I got stuck there another 30 minutes and never even got an apology. I took it back the next week and they fixed it with no issues. I made the mistake of giving them another chance today. I got there at about 1030 for an oil change, tire rotation and balance. Of course they got me to do a few more things while I was there but I didn't mind. An hour and a half in I asked how much longer and was told 10-15 minutes. About an hour later I asked again because my truck was still outside the garage with the hood up and no one had touched it since an hour before. I'm positive that they left it to work on something else and forgot it. They bring it in the garage and tell me 10-15 more minutes. About 20 minutes later they tell me there is a problem with my fuel injector and needed another hour. They offer me a ride home and said they would pick me up. They then called me at 3:15pm saying they are done and ask if they can send someone after 4pm because they were busy. I'm pissed at this point so I tell them to send someone immediately. She got to my house at about 4:10pm. The manager range me up at the register and still charged me $230 and didn't apologize for wasting my entire day for what should have been an hour or maybe and hour and a half. I'm a very patient person but I've never seen so much incompetence and the fact that I couldn't get a discount or even an apology is ridiculous. read more

I had the privilege of having the oil changed in my Jeep today. Normally this is a dreaded task and I often try to convince my husband it's his "manly duty". Todays experience was different from my norm and might I say, refreshing. I pulled up to the bay and was immediately greeted. I was given the option to remain in my vehicle or go inside and wait. I chose to stay in my vehicle. The technician was efficient and kind. The whole process was over in what felt like minutes. JT came out to my vehicle and told me I needed to pop inside just long enough to settle up and then I would be on my way. He was delightful and made my day with his dashing smile and chiseled good looks (that's for you JT :) but predominately due to his high level of professionalism. In a time when our world is under attack by a virus that can kill and all of its equally destructive mutated friends, it's comforting to know there are still a few people who aren't using this as an excuse to provide terrible service. Jiffy Lube was my go-to place for anything concerning my vehicles because the mechanics were knowledgeable and the prices were reasonable. Still, this last interaction left me with a sour taste in my mouth. My latest car needed a lot of work done. We came to them in good faith, saying we had a brake booster issue but also needed new tires and a battery. They said they could repair it without a problem and even gave us an estimate of what it would cost. After much thought, we gave them the go-ahead, although once we got the car back, not only did the problem persist, it got worse; now there was a grinding sound around the wheels, like something was rubbing against the newly installed rotors, which forced me to go a mere thirty miles per hour with my safety blinkers not only that, but the brakes were locking up it got so bad that I ended up on the side of the road having to wait for the rotors which were smoking by now to cool off. I called the next day, and the manager told me to bring it back and they'll take another look at it. Still, I told him I felt the car wasn't safe to drive such a distance, so he ordered a tow truck which I had to pay for. After a few days, I was contacted and told the parts they got were faulty and had to be replaced, which should've cost us nothing but the faulty parts were not a part of the original estimate. Hence, we had to pay for new calipers and a master cylinder on top of brake bleed(Whatever that is). By this time, they had the car for about two weeks, and by this time, we were frustrated that this had snowballed to this point with no end in sight. Hence, we decided to bring the car back home and seek a second opinion. After all of this, I was told that the jiffy lube we chose was not a part of the jiffy lube company. I had an oil change done for my newly bought Jeep Renegade. A few days later my Jeep was low on oil. Took it back to this place and the professionalism and empathy from this crew is beyond awesome. They aknowledged the error, fixed the error performed a complete engine check and reimbursed me. The Manager advised me to call him if anything else is needed. I will return for a future oil change because of their professionalism and honesty. read more

Never again I am done with jiffy lube. The store manager Bill is a scam. He is more concerned with making money off anybody he can. Does not appreciate his employees nor his customers. He practically begging customers to give him a good review so here is my review he tried to resale me same stuff I had just got on my last visit and i came early for services that was not even due yet 2,923 miles on air filter ac filter wiper blades . I just paid close to 400 for services not even 2 months ago and that many miles ago. The store manager at other location told me bill was good for getting his sales up by pressuring customers into services. What about the customer and don't get me started on the work abuse. I have came to this store for a long time it just gets worse and worse. all I see is him ruining good employees and customers. I took my Infiniti FX35 here for an oil change. I should have done just that. My headlight was out so they recommended the balast be replaced. They charged me $510 for a part i found online later for $304. To add further insult they cracked my front grill during the repair. The manager told me they were not responsible for repair because in their estimation there were prior repairs to the grill. A couple of days later they then sent me to an auto body shop for an estimate. But the auto body owner would not provide me with a written estimate? He was only retained to advise to the Jiffy Lube owner. A month has gone and now my emails and calls to the regional manager are not being returned. You would think that a customer that has spent $1600 in one day would get more attention and respect. There was a post on Yelp for this location warning people not to use them for automotive repair. Went in to Jiffy Lube for a brake job. i had a coupon for $99.00 which ia about 50% of the regular price. The job was completed and when i went to pay the bill, they charged me tax on the regular price brake job which was $199.00 they told me and charged me $15.25 in tax. When i questioned the employee the manager came back and told me he doesn't control the taxes there system does it for them. So i asked him to break down the charges labor then material he refused and got an attitude saying if your refusing to pay your bill, then we will keep your car, my response was the taxes should be figured on the parts only and not the whole job, thankfully we have family in Columbia working for the Franchise Tax Board, so when i'm finished making you aware of there predatory practices, we are contacting them, they may be interested in there business practices. read more

I Called for oil change price. After I told them it was a Chevy Cruze, I was told it required synthetic oil and was quoted $55.99. I told him that the dealership had done all previous oil changes and did not use synthetic. I only wanted conventional. For conventional, he quoted $35.99. Though I told him the make and model of the car, there was no discussion of extra charge for oil filter. I sent my 17 year old daughter up with the car. I stressed to her to only do conventional. They attempted to talk her into synthetic & told her it would void her warranty to do conventional. She told them she would just bring the car back after she talked to her parents. They then advised her it was too late because they had already drained the oil. She called my husband, upset because she didn't know what to do. My husband drove up there and insisted they use conventional. We had already called the dealership and confirmed that synthetic wasn't required or necessary. The dealership said we only needed to be sure that it was the correct weight as shown on the cap. After my husband made his point, he left for them to finish. Again, there was no discussion with my husband about extra charges. My daughter came home with a receipt for a $39.99 oil change, $5 for oil filter, and $4 for topping antifreeze. My husband had just filled the antifreeze the day before when he replaced the thermostat and engine coolant sensor. Total price charged $53.97 for a conventional oil change when full synthetic had been quoted at $55.99. Discuss oil choices, prices, and any extra charges before you drain the oil. Topping off antifreeze was never discussed with anyone, simply included on the bill though it wasn't even needed. First and last time I will use Jiffy Lube. read more

The worst service I have ever received in the state of South Carolina. Not only did they raise their voice at me when I refused to buy a part they were trying to sell me, but on a second occasion I had received a second opinion from an actual reputable source following my visit and found out that they performed unnecessary work on my vehicle just to make commission off of me, yet fixed NOTHING! I've been to other oil services and even other jiffy lubes and have never been harassed, mistreated and lied to like I was at this particular location. STAY AWAY FROM HERE! Save yourself the trouble and seek any other oil service in South Carolina.
