Needed an oil change. Was able to get in without appointment. The staff was very friendly and greeted me as soon as I got their. They had to wait on my filter about 10 min and on of the employees washed all my windows and cleaned my engine bay witch has a bunch of leafs from my home. Overall a great experience. read more

Very slow. One employee talked and stood around interrupting the other workers from doing their job. Took about 1 1/2 hours to get a simple oil change. Once I left I checked my receipt I noticed they snuck in an air filter. So aggravating. I've been here many times. This was my worst experience yet at this location. read more

They installed my air filter incorrectly so my car was sputtering and turning off. This happened in the middle of a major street with several other cars driving by. When I brought it back they tried to blame me at first but then changed their story saying "Oh yeah, I noticed that when I pulled your car out of the garage. We probably installed it wrong". They fixed the problem but offered no apologies or explanation why they failed to correct the issue although they noticed it before I drove off. I won't be returning to this location. Update! I had to return a third time because they improperly installed my air filter! They told me that it wasn't their fault although they admitted they made a mistake and refused to give me a refund although I spent over three hours there. read more

I love jiffy lube, the service is a breeze the waiting area is always kept tidy and I've never had to wait more than 20 mins per oil change . Each oil change comes with complimentary window wash , front interior vacuum and when your service is done they open the door for you like gentlemen ! They do what's asked of them. But the unprofessionalism is real. They talk mad shit while handling your vehicle and for some reason I can't go one visit without one of them revving my engine or slamming on the gas as they pull the car out of the shop for you lol. Just because I drive a fast car but that does not mean you need to test that out or play around with it. Do that with your own vehicle. Definitely going to MH next time. Today I went to this site because the one I usually go to was closed, "technical issues". I had told the service person that my tires needed air and was advised that they automatically check. After I had left the facility I noticed that my tires although the invoice said R-35, F-35,did not get checked (car has pressure sensor in it that said 30), exterior windows were not cleaned, vacuum floors not done. This makes me wonder if they really changed the oil and oil filter??? The only nice thing I can say is the service person did give me a $10.00 off due to coupon I had was for Morgan Hill, reason for the 2 stars. I will never go back there again. read more

My advice to customers,if you need anything done to your car, besides fluids and simple work, go to an actual mechanic/shop. Just took my car to Jiffy Lube on Friday. Since then, my car smells like burning oil and smoke coming from my hood due to the burning oil. Looks like they were careless with their topping off on the oil and spilled it on the manifold of my engine. I had issues with Jiffy Lube in the 90's with my car. Every time I got an oil change, my engine light would come on. After taking to the dealership, they advised me that Jiffy Lube's careless work was knocking my computer in my car, causing the check engine light to go on. The dealership had to keep resetting it. I never went back until 18 years later. I was hoping that Jiffy Lube had improved. However, it's very clear that they are not paying attention and from what I'm hearing from various groups in Gilroy on Facebook, I'm not the only one who had been having issues. This place is trash. I went for an oil change, and will never go back. They stripped my oil drain plug to the point where no one could take it off during the next oil change. I called management and they would not take accountability for their mistake. Instead, they tried to get me to pay for a new oil pan from them. Not a single sorry. I love this place. There is hardly ever a wait. I can usually drive up, get right in and but outta here in 15-20 minutes. The staff is nice and they don't try to sell me all kinds of shit I don't really need done to my car. I also like to get my wiper blades replaced here. The prices are reasonable especially for the service you get. You can take your car to Walmart for the $9.99 oil change, but you will literally wait for HOURS to get your car done. By that time, you will have spent over $200 throughout the store. (So as you can see, your $9.99 oil change just turned into a $209.99 oil change) . . not worth it in my eyes. read more

Great service! So far I have brought three cars from my household to do an oil change here. Great service, clean waiting area and do an exceptional job changing oil, & oil filter. They also offer complementary inspection of your car. However, my car started leaking fluid onto my driveway. I brought my car into Gilroy Toyota to get an inspection done. They told me that there was NO gasket placed on my oil drain pan during my last oil change. While Jiffy Lube does an exceptional job with customer service and most oil change services, my car leaked 0.5 quarts from a forgotten gasket on my drain pan. read more

I typically avoid chain places like Jiffy Lube, but I'm new to the area and didn't know where else to go. My visit to this location left me pleasantly surprised. I was helped right away upon arrival and was shown where to take a seat. My wait ended up being about 15 minutes less than what they quoted me which was nice, and the price for my full service + tire rotation seemed reasonable. I wasn't expecting them to vacuum out my floor boards based on previous Yelp reviews but they did - and wiped all of my windows down too...nice touch! I had my oil changed on my 2019 Challenger I was one of the first customers in that morning. Three weeks later I was driving down 99 south bound and saw a cloud of smoke coming from the back of the car and I got off the freeway right away pulled over then the oil pressure light turned on the drain plug fell out I had to get the car towed to the nearest dodge dealership. They told me the drain plug was the wrong one. Total negligence on jiffy lubes part I hope my car doesn't have problems in the future. If you like your car don't go hete. read more

Have been coming here 5 years with 3 vehicles, but never again. Service fell off a cliff. Theresa can't manage this place, employees half-arse their work. Took me 90 minutes to get a $107 oil change. They didn't vacuum the vehicle for that either. Theresa sent an employee to get an air filter over at O'Rielly's, holding up every customer in the queue for the 30 minute delay. Nearly a riot scene inside. After waiting over an hour, find out that in the last computer 'upgrade' they lost all my data so now we don't know when diff fluids etc are due to be changed. I came in here and I found the techs to be friendly, professional, and they set expectations right away, so I know what time I am looking at.. What actually bothered me and another customer was that another customer was very mean and abrupt.. what a mouth on him for a Sunday Morning.. He quickly adds if your gonna sell me anything... All I want is an oil change.. The tech hadn't even spoken to him, yet other than greeting him!! Wow!! I understand people may have had bad experience other places, but that doesn't mean your entitled to act like a complete jerk to the next tech.. In spite of that the tech remained professional. I really do hate writing bad reviews, but I think Jiffy Lube has earned this one. I needed an oil change. Normally, we change it ourselves, but I was in a hurry to get this done. Jiffy Lube had a $10 off coupon online, so I thought, "Why not?" First, I called Jiffy Lube and asked about what the wait time would be. They told me probably 45 minutes. I drove over, and they said probably 1 hour, maybe 45 minutes.....maybe less. I thought that was pretty reasonable, so I waited there....but it ended up taking 2 hours. Jiffy Lube offers a "Complimentary inspection" of air filters, fluid levels, lights, etc. When my car was almost ready, they showed me me my cabin air filter and told me it needed to be replaced for $50. I looked at the price on Autozone, & it would have only been $18. They were trying to charge an additional $32 on top of the retail price (which I'm sure they buy it cheaper) to literally open the box of the new filter & insert it into the slot. I told them not to replace it. There was really no labor required....It would take 2 minutes to do. When they finished with my car, first, the cashier gave me someone else's keys...I told her they weren't mine and she said they must be in my car. I walked outside and it was parked with the keys sticking outside the driver side door. First Street is a busy street. Literally anyone could have taken my car. Cool. I drove off, and started to hear a very loud sound under my car. I pulled over when I could & looked under my car, and saw that they did not put the cover for my oil pan back on correctly. I went back, and the person who worked on my car told his manager, "Oh, she brought it in with it broken." Someone else said, "That wasn't noted on the initial inspection." The truth came out and the employee said, "I couldn't get it into place correctly, so I just stuck it in there and hoped it would stay." His manager fixed it. After I left, I noticed oil stains in my car both on the driver side door and also on the glove compartment from when they checked my cabin air filter. Also, the cashier made it a point to tell me that they vacuumed my car, but they actually left leaves all over........... Later on, I turned my air conditioner on, and heard the loudest sound.. it was so loud that I could not even use it. When I got home, we opened up the cabin air filter (it had to be that), and found that they dropped leaves and plastic into the fan, and that was causing a very loud sound. We removed the plastic/leaves and everything was fine. I'm pretty disappointed & I will not ever be comfortable letting Jiffy Lube touch my car again. I am new to Gilroy and was kind of hesitant about finding a new place to do oil change services for my Subaru. I was pleasantly greeted by Teresa when I pulled up and she was friendly and personable and nice to my kids in the backseat. She told us that there was water and a TV in the lobby for us. We were then helped by Raymond and he didn't try to upsell me anything when asking which oil I wanted. Straightforward and friendly. At checkout, I had a $10 coupon I found online that they honored and the price was right. In and out with two wild kids in about 45 minutes. Totally happy with my experience here and will be back for future oil changes. read more

Please avoid at all costs. I took my prius here a couple of months back, for an oil change. Not very long after my maintenance required notification turned on. I knew that it couldn't have been the oil since I had just hanged it recently. We bought our car brand new and at this point it shouldn't need anything other than oil changes. We decided to take it in to our mechanic and they found that the cabin filter was all bashed up and not inserted correctly. When I took my car to jiffy lube they had notified me that I needed a new one. I declined and so they said they were putting it back. On top of that they couldn't figure out how to reset my maintenance light. I had to look through my owners manual and do it myself. That's not such a big deal but it just seems unprofessional. I will most definitely not be returning. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place. read more

Friendly crew and impressed with the level of energy and details. They did leave some grease on my interior glove box and they did not appear to use a temporary floor mat. I only had an inspection done for my Ride Share Application. The team did not know they provided the service (better training?). The website listed it as $19.99 but their computer listen it slightly higher. Surprisingly they had the Lyft inspection forms on hand and did a thorough job in filling it out. it passed with Lyft in less than an hour. Keep improving! read more

They stand around and talk faster then they do oil changes.. while there several people looked at me and not one came over to ask if I would like an oil change.. it took my whole lunch hour to do an oil change, mind you they had just finished up a car pulled it out before someone came over to my car.. I will not be returning to this slow overpriced place on top of that they didn't reset my oil change system I had to do it.. I got the deer in the head light look when I said something.. the only reason they got 2 stars was the lobby was very clean and a manger was very nice.. the girl didn't even take the time to say hi or even smile.. customer service is very much needed. read more

The service is good and the staff seem knowledgeable. The reason for the low rating is that I paid a fairly high price for premium oil on my change, and I watched them do it, however the oil dispenser was not labeled and so I really don't know what oil they ended up using... It could have been the generic oil for all I know. My recommendation to management is that they label the dispensers clearly and have technicians identify which dispenser is being used while recommending the service. read more

I took my 2016 Ram 3500 Cummins 6.7 to this place this morning for an oil change and fuel filter change. The lead in the red shirt assures me they do the fuel filters all the time. I tell him I want conventional Shell Rotella 15-40 for diesels over the synthetic oil for my oil change. He comes to me in a moment and tells me they had several diesel oil changes over the weekend and he's out of Rotella 15-40 and offers synthetic again (Rotella 15-40 is not exactly like finding pixie dust). I asked him if he has the fuel filters in stock and he tells me no that they have to be delivered so I ask him why he doesn't just get the 12 quarts of Rotella from O'Reilly (3 gallon jugs) when they deliver the filters (duh). He tells me it will be an additional $30 or $40 dollars for the oil change and in the interest of time I agree. I'm told it will be 40 minutes to do all this work. Next, I am approached by the lead again to tell me that O'Reilly only has the frame rail fuel filter, not the engine fuel filter so they will change the frame rail and not the engine filter. Also he tells me they don't have the special tool to take off the engine filter anyway (what happened to "we do this all the time"). I agree to the change and the obvious reduction in cost. Next thing you know, I look out the window and see the lead on a ladder wrenching on my Cummins 6.7 engine so I go out there and ask what he's doing. He tells me he's changing the ENGINE fuel filter (as the wrench drops to the pit). I asked why I had been told he only had the frame rail filter and he said that O'Reilly REALLY had sent the engine filter. I asked what about not having the right wrench to remove the engine filter - another mumbo jumbo answer. At this point, I've lost all faith and just want to get out of there - I go back to the lobby and sit down. Next, I'm approached by the lead again and he tells me they can't get the engine fuel filter off so they put the truck back together and oh by the way my bill will be less again (still don't have fuel filters changed but have an appointment for tomorrow with a COMPETENT mechanic). I paid $130 for an oil change and was in there about 1.5 to 2 hours, a far cry from 40 minutes. This operation is the biggest bunch of incompetent LIARS I have ever seen in my 61 years and I will NEVER EVER recommend them to anyone. I will likely write a letter to corporate to voice my complaints. I CAN'T STAND being lied to about 3 times. read more

Don't give them your business. Checklist of completed tasks marked but NOT completed. When questioned with " if this was your vehicle would you accept this" multiple employees said "yes" and stood firmly saying tasks were done. Simple, will never do business with them again. When manger info requested it was not available. When i requested they fix the issues i was called disrespectful and accused of using profanity and employ. Never happened-- this crew stick together to screw you. If three items including setting oil gauge, window cleaning, and vacuuming not completed but checked as done how can we guarantee the oil and filter were actually changed. Bye. read more

This is a review of the Gilroy California Facility. 35 minute wait before they even were ready to start an oil change and the 3 bays were empty for 20 minutes. Workers with no sense of hustle. They have a tendency to take people in front of others (this happened to me and another person in the waiting room)....seems like something they do to jump their friends to the front of the line. They could not get an oil change done in 15 minutes, so I left and shall not be back Recommendation -- avoid this Jiffy Lube...they are not getting work done in a jiffy. read more

This location is horrible. My first experience with this location was back in November. I came in for an oil change and the attendant confirmed that a full inspection and top-offs were part of the price. I observed the technicians as they are servicing my vehicle and the only service performed was the oil change. When it came time to pay for services, the attendant just wanted payment and didn't go over the services performed or make any recommendations. I asked for the results of my inspection and he said everything was fine and no top offs were needed. I knew that was a lie because of what I saw with my own eyes. Not to mention the windshield wiper reservoir had not been topped of and it was obvious my windows or the floor had been cleaned. I figured I would give this place another try so I brought my vehicle in last weekend and I had the same exact experience. I am never going back. If I want a basic oil change, I can drive down the street and pay $25 less. read more

I got my oil changed this morning. They were pretty quick which was great since I had my two young kids with me. My one major complaint was that the Yelp check in deal advertised was out of date so they only honored half the value. (Something I didn't find out until I went to pay). I wait to visit family down here and come to get my oil changed. This place always has great service with friendly people.
