The belly pan started to fall apart from my undercarriage. Pronto was around the corner when I pulled off of the 101, and they were true to their name: in about 30 minutes, they removed the belly pan that was dragging along. They also double checked that there was no engine or component damage. Only 20 minutes later he calls me to say it turns out to be a much simpler issue. They did what they needed to reset the check engine light and didn't even charge me. So.. where do I begin?!! I had a horrible Monday morning. My car died in the middle of the freeway and I waited two hours for a tow truck.. I finally dropped off my car at Pronto's, the nearest auto repair shop. Overall, I received great customer service. There were too many problems with my car's cooling system, so at the end of my experience, I decided not to proceed and fix my car. Daniel was very courteous and helpful and above all, HONEST. This is my second very successful car repair with Pronto! After my last repair, Daniel arranged for my daughter's car to be checked (without charge) and it badly needed brakes. He was great at describing the issues and how the repairs could also be done in increments which my daughter needed. I called on a random morning and Daniel was able to get me an appointment for that afternoon and I had the car home by the end of the day. I really appreciate this shop!! I've had great service, fair pricing and quick repairs! During COVID, they have all precautions in place and are keeping us safe. Most of all I appreciate as a woman to be spoken to like I know a thing or 2 about cars, especially growing up with a father who was a mechanic. I called Pronto today because I was looking for someone to mount and balance tires I had already purchased online. I called and was quoted a $15.00 per tire, which seemed reasonable, so we decided to head down to get the work done. Once there I was told by the owner that he misunderstood what I wanted done and that the price would be more. I also explained that I wanted a set of (4) hubcaps installed but they were very hesitant because they didn't want to be held liable if they fell off. We explained that we wouldn't hold them responsible and we agreed to a price and was told to come back in 2 hours. Two hours later I was called because they realized that there was a 5th tire and that the price would be more for the second time. When we arrived at the shop to pick up the car, the tires were installed but the hubcaps were still in the box and the whitewalls still had the blue protective tape on them. They eventually cleaned the whitewalls and when I went inside to pay the bill, it was $168 to mount and balance 5 tires. They charged me $7 for each valve stem and $26 to mount and balance each tire, which seem outrageous seeing that other shops in the area charge $12.50 per tire and $2.00 per stem. When I got home I had trouble installing the hubcaps and cleaning the whitewalls so I had to go to a local auto parts store to buy a rubber mallet and white cleaner, which was another $10. I should have waited and brought my car to the Goodyear shop in Morgan Hill to have professionals install the tires. I WILL NOT BE BACK! read more

Very kind and efficient service. I was on the road, 3 hours into a 6 hour drive back home when my car blew a hose on the freeway. No other auto place would squeeze me in (5pm on a Friday on a holiday weekend) but these wonderful gentleman took the time to check out my car AND fix it! They were unable to fully fix the problem due to not being able to order the parts from the dealership, but they problem solved and set me up with a spectacular temporary fix that got me the rest of the 3 hours of my drive home. Orlando wants to overcharge for simple requests. I was in this place the other day for checking my tire for a small nail. He told me that he couldn't repair,(patch), the tire because the tire was too old, (4 years), and would sell me a new tire for more than $100.00! I left and went down the street to Calderon Tire and these guys stopped what they were doing to repair my tire in less than "5 Minutes" for $25.00! This is the second time that Orlando wanted to overcharge for work requested and "My last time in his shop"! I believe he thinks that people over 60 years old "are all senile and easily duped!" Took my car in on short notice on a Saturday when the brakes started making a horrible noise. They were visibly busy but were able to look at it right away and let me know what was going on. Needed new pads and rotors in the front, new pads in the back. Not too big a job but they were able to get my car back to me within 4 hours.
