I went here last week for an oil change my car was perfect no problem ever since, that night i drove it of course (thurs night) the following day my car almost overheated!! Okay, i never had problems before i checked my hood and my coolant was empty!! Bought some at 711 poured some it was okay.. The following day it happened again! I didn't get to work !! I have kids i'm a single mother its frustrating to not have a car!! So same issue everyday so i know something was wrong i've never done this before putting coolant everyday! For the service you get, you can't complain too much. You get what you pay for. The staff are friendly, they try to go as fast as they can. They understand that you don't want to be there anymore then they do. I stopped by with my kids. I can't say for sure that they went faster to get me out quicker due to my kids being there, but they are always very fast and friendly. I will keep coming back until they mess up. read more

2nd time at this location. No complaints with Jiffy, its staff or procedures. In fact, it was as expected, if not better. My only complaint is with some Gen-Xer "I'm More Important" lady customer who notified the staff she had been there a half hour already and that "I have things to do". I guess she missed the 6 other customers in the waiting area that were there before her that also may have had things to do. I compliment the staff for professionally explaining to her that it's on a first-come, first-served basis and there wasn't much they could do (I wonder how often they have to put up with these types). Jiffy has three bays, lady. With three vehicles in the bays and three more waiting when you arrive it means you're #7. Each vehicle has a typical completion time. Simple arithmetic. I arrived as a #6 and was out in just a bit over an hour. Pretty good in my book. I did not observe anyone goofing off, taking smoke breaks or even playing Pokémon Go. Customer arrival sequence was strictly followed, in spite of the Special Anointed People who have things to do. Keurig coffee's good. One extra plus: Desiree changed the channel from one of those noisy goofy daytime talk shows to a 9er replay (they lost again). One minus: there's a doughnut shop next door that insisted upon a visit. To the lady who inserted the water dispenser nozzle into her used water bottle for a fill up - health wise probably not a good idea for you or anyone else. BTW, in the name of efficiency staff won't ask you who you are, what vehicle you have, or what you want until your car is in the bay and has undergone preliminary inspections of filters, etc. If your vehicle is the system, they will call you by name in the waiting room - if not in the system, they will call you by vehicle. Only then do you sign up, mention your desires and decide to replace/repair anything they've already found needing replacement/repair. Why, yes. I am perfect. Thank you for asking. read more

I'm not satisfied with the service i just received at Gilroy jiffy lube. Went in with a $15.25 coupon that i printed from their website and mentioned it ahead of time. Kid brought me in to discuss service and i explained i just wanted the Signature lube and oil service i called about, for 37.99. He tried to sell me better quality oil, wiper blades for 24. each and tire rotation for 20. which i declined and I told him i could only afford the Signature lube and oil today and then he asked me what my budget was! He then told me i needed a new air filter and showed me mine. I said no.. He said if i got one today he'd knock off 7 bucks. I said OK. I then showed him my coupon and he said he could only give me 5 dollars off the air filter now. I said OK. Then i was given my printed estimate which did not include the coupons, which i was OK about-but he said I'd have to remind him about the 5 bucks for the air filter and give him my other coupon when i pay later. OK. Then he came back saying my total would be 62.99! I balked at this and asked him to explain to me why it would cost me that much and that's not what my estimate says, nor does it make any sense. He gave me the run around and threw some figures at me which didn't jell what so ever, and i said no way. I came in for the 37.99 service, i am paying extra for a filter and then i have my coupon and your 5.00 discount, and my calculations come to 30.73! So he walked out. He sticks his head in later to say they didn't have my filter after all! Yeah right. i watched all the work going on and watched them drive my car to the parking lot 5 minutes later and he never came to get me. I thought maybe that's when they were vacuuming the floors. So after 10 minutes i went in there and asked if my car was ready and another kid said it was. I paid and used my coupon and all was OK... 22.74 for a lube and oil, topped off fluids, windows washed and floors vacuumed. At least that's what my receipt says. Floors were not vac'd. But my complaint is really, why all the BS and trying to jip me out of money? To me that's a red flag- I'm wondering if i even got what i paid for. I would never use this place again . The customer service was bad all they do is talk and no work ,There was about 6 workers and three cars and it took about 45 to an hour per car . They didn't seem to care for all the people waiting I ask if any one could help and they said to take a seat and when it's my turn they come see me . I'm like you don't know who I am or witch is my car . I was going to get my radiator flushed and an oil change since I was there . So after all the wait they said they didn't have the equipment to do that vehicle and only could do the oil change . If I only new I wouldn't of waited that long for just an oil change . Never going back. I've been going to this location for several years. At my last visit my car was blackened on the light interior with several greasy fingerprints. When I asked for a manager to report this I was given a phone number to call. Supposedly it was for a district mgr. I left 2 messages and never heard back. Thankfully I have a friend who knows a great auto detailer. Without his help I would have never gotten their mess cleaned from the inside of my car. Oil changes are great. I do come here once in awhile when I decide not to change my own oil. The only problem I have with this shop is that they would complete the oil change, come into the office and tell you that the oil change is done and goes through the list of what they had completed. For example, vacuumed floor, washed windows, etc. Well, there is a window and we do watch and I've never seen them vacuumed my floor. Crumbs/Dirt are still on the floor. If they do what they say they have done then this shop would be good to go. read more

DON'T GET RIPPED OFF HERE. Go to WHEEL WORKS down the street on 1st&Monterey instead. My Dad goes here every month to get a full service oil check and his tires checked. So I went there Yesterday in my dads vehicle to get it checked out because the "Low air pressure" signal came on as well as the "Change engine oil soon" signal came on. So I went there and something was not right because they came back way too fast and called me to come pay. $60 for a full service oil change and tire service. When I got into the vehicle To My surprise both lights were still on. I jumped out and talked to both mechanics and one said "I did check the tire pressure. It's good". Then the other mechanic said I have to drive it so it can reset. Well. I drove it to and from Gilroy to San Jose and back 2times and still both lights were on so I stopped by another mechanic in san josw and all they did was pump a little more air into the tire and the tire light turned off. He got a tire scanner and scanned the tire and TO MY SURPRISE, It had a MF SCREW in the damn tire. How could JIFFY LUBE Miss a MF SCREW IN THE TIRE When they So called did full service and checked everything? So I'll be going back to Jiffy Lube tomorrow with My reciept and won't leave without a Full Refund. Did I Mention My "Change Engine Oil soon" light is still ON? Yeah, they Messed with the WRONG ONE THIS TIME!!! So I brought My Dads vehicle to Wheel Works down the street and they are patching My Tire FOR FREE! Kudos Wheel Works. I've been to this location twice in the last month with my fleet vehicle because I do a lot of driving. Both times there have been issues with my oil change. I don't know if these guys are lazy or don't know what they're supposed to check for. But I've constantly either had too much oil in my engine or they check on something saying that it was completed but they really don't do it. They say they clean my windows, vacuum my car, they check my air pressure in my tires, but it never gets done! This time they didn't do any of the extra services and forgot to print my reminder sticker! It would be nice to go to a Jiffy Lube that did what they and claim to do as part of the service. read more

For almost a year I used to go to the one near the Oakridge Mall. Gave this one a try a few month back since I was in the neighborhood and will never use near Oakridge Mall again. They were thorough, cleaned the window and checked the tire pressure. They fixed a wobbly rough ride by adding air to my tires!! I mean I was driving for almost a year on improperly inflated tires! The ones near the Oakridge Mall never bothered to check tire pressure although they would say they did it. Plus these guys actually clean your windows. Great service! I have been using this store since they opened and they have had there issues, but today sealed the deal. I arrived at 0745 because I know it is first in first out and I was first in line. The store opened at 8 O'clock like usual and they took down my information. Shortly thereafter two commercial vehicles, I will not mention their name, showed up. It was like the Queen of England arrived; my car was left sitting and the two vehicle went to the front of the line and received service. I sat in the lobby for almost an hour and was never talked to or acknowledged by the technicians. After the commercial customers were done they technician calls me over like nothing had happened. I'm done with Jiffy Lube. There are many other service facilities that need loyal customers and treat them as such. Worst experience ever. I usually take my car here although I have never been to the Gilroy location. Upon arriving I asked for a time estimate since I was on my lunch, they said would be around 30 minutes. They took an hour and forty minutes to get my car done when I was only getting an oil change. A person that came in after he was able to leave and had more services done! There were four to five people in the work area and were just walking around laughing. I asked twice how much longer it would take and they would say, 15 more minutes, 10 more minutes. I was so disappointed with the customer service and professionalism at this location. Even my 10 yr old grandson commented the they could be a lot faster if the were not standing around talking and looking at there cell phone. I have been going to this Jiffy Lube for years but after my last visit, I will never return. I pulled in my car on a busy Saturday with two cars ahead of me. I was prepared for a wait but I was still waiting after 80 minutes and they still hadn't even started working on my car. I spent my time writing detailed notes on staff behavior and the time it took for them to finish each regular oil change service. The 7 staff members appeared to consult on every car, would look around and talk, would stand around swinging their towels, peered in groups of 2 and 3 at the computers, and pretty much did about anything except work on the cars. I timed how long it took them to do an oil change on each car and it averaged 50 minutes. I estimated that I would have to wait a minimum of an hour more (beyond the 80 minutes) just to get service. I went back to my car, backed up and left. After all that time waiting, I never even got an oil change. I do not recommend this Jiffy Lube. read more

Been going to various Jiffys for several years for a vehicle that needs a pit to get the oil filter off (anything else I do myself). This one was middling to poor. Wait was quite a while as I watched 3 other vehicles sit in the bay with very little being done on them. Once it was my turn they did the usual hard sell of everything, but I stuck to the basic oil change but even that was $5 more than the price quoted the previous day. They also didn't top off the other fluids (radiator, washer) and I rather wish they hadn't smeared dirt all over the windows while supposedly cleaning them. The final annoyance was the final checklist/receipt "oil 1.5QT low on arrival". I'd checked it just 10 minutes before pulling into Jiffy and it was at the high mark (same level as when it came out of Jiffy). It seems like they do this so that they can blame you for anything that goes wrong later - just sleazy. Probably won't go to this location again. And a general comment to all Jiffy lubes - quit tightening the oil cap so tight that the average human needs a wrench to get it off read more

Jiffy lube has always been a "neutral" experience for me. Never been happy, never been upset. Then, I had my oil changed today. Nick and his crew helped me. Nick was BEYOND polite and helpful. I had been to this store once several years ago and they were terrible. Today I was desperate to get a FAST oil change and returned hoping they would surely not still be in business if they hadn't gotten better. Wrong. They are all nice people -- they just don't have any sense of how to operate a customer oriented business. From when the Manager told me 15-20 minutes until my car was actually ready was over 40 minutes. Even more telling is that the District or Regional Manager was there observing. This consisted of standing around with her arms crossed, lounging up against the door frame and occasionally talking to a worker or chatting with the manager. She not only had no interest in the customers (she could have walked into the customer lounge and said Hello and gotten some real data and feedback -- after all I was there for 40+ minutes!), she was teaching by example that customers are not important. The guys with their hands on the tools are trying hard, but the incompetent management has defeated them regardless of what they do.
