Instead of utilizing my warranty at the dealership, I've started going to this Jiffy location for my oil change. I liked how quick and friendly the service WAS. The service is still quick, but are they skilled or are they just making a quick buck? I've requested someone to look at my brakes cause it's still squeeking after I changed it & one of the fog lights cause it's out. Prompt service... The CSR indicated that my both of my brake lights were out. I authorized to change it. Then she came back & stated that only one brake light was out. They didn't change the front because they are HID. We settled the bill and we parted ways. I should have checked my lights before I left. But it's like saying I should have checked my oil before I left... Since it's Winter season, the sun rises late & sets early. As I was leaving for work the next morning, I noticed that when I switched on my lights, the high beam icon appears. On top of that, my headlights dimmed. Dimmed enough for the car in front of me to be aware that there is a vehicle in their rear. I contacted the shop a bit after 7 and requested for the manager or the lady that assisted me. I spoke to the male who answer the phone since she was busy. He didn't indicate if he was the manager but offered to help. After my statement, I told him that I'll be by after 4pm. I stopped by and the two males who were at the shop were not able to help me. Instead, one of them seeked assistance with their district manager. Instead of waiting, he assured me that someone would "get back to me."I did not receive any follow up. Since it's after lunch, I've decieded to reach out to them. The male who answered the phone indicated that he was present when they were servicing my vehicle. After the effortless conversation, the results that I had was to contact the district manager. On a side note, wasn't I told that I was going to get contacted from the DM yesterday? This issue has eslacated since I have go to a shop and have them diagnose what Jiffy Lube did. Wow! Rogelyn made our first Jiffy Lube experience on the island an excellent one. She welcomed us as we pulled into the parking lot, made sure that we knew the procedures and how to wait comfortably. She explained every step of the process, and handled a complicated fleet car payment with a great attitude. The work was done super fast - about 10 minutes from the time we pulled in. The whole experience could not have been better. We will definitely be back, and mainly because Rogelyn is so good at her job. read more

I saw that this Jiffy Lube was good because of the reviews so I chose to have my oil change at this particular location. Yes, they are great! I went in the wrong way and I was very politely told the correct way to enter. (There is only one way in and one way out). The workers worked together, making service quick. I was given a choice of oil which I wanted to use and I was honestly told that the cheaper one was better since my car was a 2003 model, it didn't need the higher grade. Price was good. And yes, if you see after 3,000 miles or 3 months that your oil is low, they'd refill it for free! My car was pulled up near to enter and they had free coffee, too! They pointed out a concern with my oil pan leak, so it was a great experience! I'd go there again! One of them left a tool near my windshield and when I took it back, the whole crew was in wonder. Each of them approached my car, willing to see what my "issue" was. It was great to see that they care about their customers. They did a quick vacuum which helped :) read more

Despite all the great reviews written here, my experience at this Jiffy Lube has dampened my initial impression of their service. They are friendly. That is not the issue. I called to check if the parts for my car was available and what the wait time would be like. A couple other places I called to find out how much and how long didn't even bother to ask me what make and model of car I owned to give me the answers to my questions, so I was impressed that Jiffy Lube did. When I got there within 10 minutes of having spoken to them, they checked me in efficiently and quickly. They told me that it should only take about 20 to 30 minutes since I was the first customer there. After 30 minutes, I began to wonder if there were problems getting the serpentine belt replaced but I patiently waited. Close to 50 minutes later, the mechanic comes to tell me that they cannot find the socket to take the bolt off in order to access the belt. A TOOL!?! They cannot find a tool to perform the work needed? AND it took them 50 minutes of looking before coming to inform me of this? They should have informed me after 20 minutes! Why do they only have one of that tool? Why do they not have a back up? I left work an hour early to take care of this and it was a complete waste of my effort, my time, and my day!!! They treat you great incoming, but at this point they didn't seem to care to keep my business. I am sorry, but I am looking for more than just an apology to make me feel confident in coming back to this Jiffy Lube. To date, Pearl Kai Jiffy Lube has been the best. read more

I went to Jiffy Lube Punchbowl to get my oil changed. One great thing to note is that it is $10 off if you show the coupon! I went at around 7am and thought it was best to go early to avoid the long wait. Unfortunately, someone beat me to it and I ended up having to wait at least thirty minutes before I got help. I've heard reviews on how people were in and out within twenty minutes, but that wasn't the case with me. However, the team lead (Albert, I believe) was very knowledgeable when he helped me. He explained all the car jargon and made it easier for me to understand. He told me that I needed to replace my windshield wipers because they were at the point and started to make a noise. That was fine so I ended up doing it. Overall, the entire process took around 10 minutes and paying/checking out took around 5 minutes. I was out of there in forty five minutes in total. The cashier, Geneva was super sweet and I really like the overview she went through at the end. Overall, I would come back again, thanks Jiffy Lube! :) read more

WARNING! WARNING! False rating suspected. Lousy service personnel, unfriendly staff, and I was ripped off. They overfilled my oil, they claimed they check all fluids. My coolant was low. The coffee station was filthy. The staff were young and clearly unprofessional in their attitude and were clearly unhappy being there. I don't see how their ratings on yelp is so favorable. It clearly does not reflect what I experienced. Go to Lex Brodie, they are much more professional in every way. read more

Went in for oil change, and, as I left the lot, the minute the car hit the street, something suddenly made my tires turn with this godawful grinding/cranking noise. Drove around the block, kept hearing it, so I returned immediately, and them check it. They found a nail in one of the tires, deflating it partially. They did nothing except patch it temporarily and recommend I get it replaced. Didn't blame or ask for compensation, but did thank, then tell, them, "Please clean up the lot, so that this doesn't happen again." Nothing--no apologies or empathy or acknowledgement. Needed a safety inspection, so i decided to go to Jiffy Lube. Have always gone there and had no problems. This time I drove in and was told that inspections are done on a reservation basis. What??? The next reservation avail is next week. What??? Worst thing is that there were no cars being worked on and three techs standing around. Something is wrong here. Went somewhere else..... I usually don't comment here but I just wanted to say Mahalo to Rogelyn and the crew at jiffy lube for your excellent service and quick!! I needed an oil change but work every day and don't have the time. I pulled into Honda up the street hoping I could get a walk in appointment to change my oil there but knew I would probably have to wait a couple hours. They said I would have to leave my car there all day!! I left and remembered seeing a jiffy lube around the corner onto the freeway so I pulled into jiffy lube punchbowl and was greeted promptly by Rogelyn. I told her I needed my oil changed and she immediately started the process. She explained the different oil blends and how the newer cars don't need oil changes as frequent as older cars. The guys were waiting to take my car in for the oil change and worked on it so fast!! Rogelyn showed me to the waiting room and I had a cup of coffee and sat down for like 15 minutes or less and she came back to show me the air filters and how I need to change it soon. I didn't even get my car serviced here after all. I pulled in, intending to get a brake inspection and transmission fluid flush. When I told Paula, she looked concerned. She asked me to pop the hood and she took a look. She then spent about 5 minutes explaining to me why she couldn't service my vehicle, totally due to the vehicle's newer design. Horrible service as of late. I used to come here out of convenience and everything was fine. The last two times I was completely screwed over by them. The first time, they had a sign advertising service + safety check special, so since I needed both I went in. All of a sudden, they've changed their policy that you need an appointment for a safety check, which was never the case before. They didn't even try to help me or ask to schedule an appointment. Or even try to take the car just for the service/oil change and have the safety check done later. Second time, I planned on taking it in, called ahead of time and it was fine. On my drive there, my coolant light comes on, so I assumed they might be able to help me. Nope. Flat out rejected my car, didn't even help me find another place that could help. I offered to leave it till it cooled off, nope, no help for you whatsoever. Please move your car. No offer to call a tow truck, since you shouldn't drive when the light is flashing. Just a no. Two times they rejected my business. They won't get another chance to have it again! Save the hassle, go somewhere else! read more

I was a loyal Jiffy Lube customer for a few years while living in NC; they were always super friendly, helpful and efficient. Yes, they are a bit more expensive for an oil change than most other shops, but they top off fluids, vacuum, clean the windows and had always been to nice and quick when I would stop in. I assumed my luck would continue here in HI, but I couldn't have been more wrong. I dropped off my car for an oil change before walking to a work meeting near by. In full disclosure, I know nothing about cars. I bought my used car last July and shamelessly have not had it serviced until yesterday. Keeping this in mind and knowing that my past experiences with oil changes involve them checking air filters, I figured I'd need to replace mine as I hadn't been the most responsible car owner recently. When I pulled in, I was "greeted" by Brys. I told him I needed an oil change and air filters. He looked annoyed and like he didn't care to be there. Brys unenthusiastically entered my information into the system, asked me what oil I'd like and I replied to see what he'd recommend. Suddenly, my oil change was going to cost over $100! SERIOUSLY?!? Every other time I've gotten an oil change, the technician has always shown me at least 2 different air filters and usually suggested that they be replaced. Knowing I would be at a work meeting and not waiting for my car at the JF station, I told Brys that I would like both filters replaced. He typed something into the computer, turned to me and said "we are out of stock". No other options were given; maybe tell me you can order one and it will be here by ___ date? A customer is telling you she wants to spend money and you are not helping that to happen? Really? Quickly realizing that this experience was not going to be what I was used to a JF, I told Brys I was leaving my car and would be back to pick it up. When I came back about an hour later, the car was ready. I went inside to pay and inquired about what the filter that was out of stock looked like. Brys replied "Oh, we don't check 'em". What?!? Apparently I'm confused as to what customer service it. Bottom line - I will never be visiting this location again read more

What a nightmare! Went to have my oil changed and not only got a bad price but they cost me an additional $150! They broke my engine vacuum line and blamed it on my mechanic. They did not reattach my skid plate and I was unknowingly driving with the skid plate on the ground! When I came back the next day they taped the skid plate up saying they had no screws. Because the vacuum line was broke and I didn't have time to fix it, my battery died and had to buy another battery. On top of this terrible service, they charged me $123 for the oil change. I checked with the Beretania Street Jiffy Lube and found out that they charge $40 less to change the oil on my car!!!! Boy did I go to the WRONG JIFFY LUBE!!! read more

I decided to get an oil change at this place because of the good reviews on yelp. I called ahead time to get a quote, and the lady on the phone told me that it would cost me abt $45, which was a lot cheaper than any other place. I asked her again, "are you sure is that for my hybrid car -the model-year???" The lady confirmed me YES. So I brought the car in, and guess what, they charged me over $80 for the standard oil change. Maybe there was a confusion on the lady side, but I wasn't happy at all after waiting for a while to get an oil change. This Jiffy Lube never lets me down. I started coming here when I first started driving, about 10 years ago. Well now I dont come as often due to my service plan with my newer car, but when I figured out my safety inspection was almost a month expired this was the first place that came to mind. We got to Jiffy Lube in the middle of a saturday afternoon, there were 2 other cars being serviced. As soon as we drove up one of the staff came over to help us, he took the necessary information and asked us to wait in their waiting room and let us know there was complimentry hot cocoa or coffee. My husband of course had to have some hot cocoa. After about 15 minutes the lady called my name and our safety inspection was done! How fast is that! We passed and got our sticker. The safety inspection came out $16 something with tax, not bad considering at other places I have been charged up to $30. This place is the place to come to for an oil change, safety check or whatever else you might need done. I have gone to other Jiffy Lube locations and none give the same nice and quick service. read more

I have been going to to a different Jiffy Lube shop all these years. Today, I decided to visit the Punchbowl shop. This is the first time I visited this shop. I went in to ask them to replace battery. Manager, Rogelyn, was very professional and friendly. As soon as I pulled in the front of the store, she knew exactly what I was there for. (I did call prior to going in that morning, but I am still very impressed). There were some incidents because the battery was corroded, but the staff took care of everything professionally. I thought the price was very reasonable. The shop is not huge compared to other locations, but the entire premise is clean, clean, clean. When I drove over, I noticed my windshield is covered with dirty spots from the small rain drops yesterday. When I picked up my car, the windshield was clean like a whistle. So amazing. Overall, it was a very pleasant experience. I highly recommend this Jiffy Lube shop. The entire staff, from Rogelyn to every single technician are very polite and customer oriented. Although this Jiffy Lube is a bit out of my way, I will definitely go back for my next oil change or any other related services. Thank you again, Rogelyn and your entire staff. read more

Went in for a oil change and the guy talked me into doing a differential on my tires. He said it was recommended for the 15,000 mile check. Well, on the way home, my car literally blew up! Felt like I was rear ended from behind and something snapped. Had to get towed into the dealership. This is major damage. Never going to a Jiffy Lube again. read more
