This review is for a Tire Plug. It was a Saturday in the COVID era and I have a nail in my tire.....needed a tire plug. Firestone blew me off and I bought the tires from them. Lex Brodie said leave the car for 4 hours. Servco motor imports did not want to give me an answer. By luck I pull into the French Wrench and I ask them if they would plug my tire. In 10 minutes I am out of the with a plugged tire. These guys were super busy with auto repairs but they helped me immediately. You need a tire plugged......go here!!! read more

No B.S. gas and servicing station. I bring my car here when something is wrong and they tell me if they can fix it or they refer me to someone nearby that can. It gets super crowded on some days, so be ready to squeeze your car somewhere. The workers are super busy and have lots to do, which usually bodes me well because the work on my car gets done super quick. The gas station and mini-mart (is that what you call it?) is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week (including holidays!). The store is small with drinks and snacks, but not like a 7-11 with slushy machines or ice cream, even. Overall, the gas station is dirty like a busy gas station usually is. Do not bother using the bathroom here....I'm pretty sure some super sketchy stuff goes down in there...and don't touch the counters in the store, either. Bleh. read more

I was referred here on an emergency through my sales representative for replacement of my tire which I had a nail in it the night before and searched all over and no one had my tire size . One place was going to take a week and a half to get a new tire that fits my vehicle. Mike was very professional took a look at my vehicle and was able to work me into his busy schedule. My girlfriend came in for a safety check and whoever was behind the counter had a super short temper with her. We would have happily left to get the right paperwork but to give one word answers with no smile or patience seemed uncalled for. I took my car in to get a safety check and I agree with prior reviews that it was fast. They actually make you do your own safety check. Horn? Beep. Wipers? Swoosh... The reason for the low rating? RIP OFF! The other shell stations in Kaimuki only charge $15. This one was $20 (I think he pockets the difference). Also, beware, kind of a sketchy place. Saw what looked like a guy trying to sell a phone to the cashier in there too. Weird! I wouldn't trust them to do any work on my car. read more

This review concerns getting a Safety Check. Very quick service. Remember to take your registration & insurance card. No appointments taken - first come first serve. We waited just a few minutes and then it was our turn. One person was dedicated to doing the inspections. He tells you to sit in the car, turn on the engine and then he has you turn on the blinkers, lights, wipers, & honk the horn while he checks them. The test takes 5 mins. Then it takes less than 10 mins to produce the paperwork. While an office person does the paperwork, the inspector moves to the next car. Just like an assembly line. Cost is $20. DO NOT TRUST THIS SERVICE STATION. I was quote $500 for a brake job that I got done for $200 at a shop just behind this one (K & Y Auto, GREAT people GREAT SERVICE!) This guy always over charges for the work they offer. I have had other friends go here for the convenience of it, and they always end up getting the work done somewhere else because of his extremely high prices. If you could give negitive stars I would. Worst mechanic shop I have ever been to. I took my car into them already knowing what the problem was. I explained the problem and asked them to just check the hoses for a leak. He told me that he had to hook it up to the computer and run a diagnostic check and charge me $80 before he could do anything else. Which is complete BS. So we argued for about 5 min or so, and I told them just look at the hoses, nothing else, then call me with what you find out. I said this atleast 4 times before I left. I wait the entire day...no phone call, I call them around noon the next day. He said he had problems hooking it up to the diagnostic computer, but he did replace a my seal and got me a new cap. Oh, and he never got around to checking any of the hoses. WTF!!! Are you serious! Then tried to charge me for all the work! read more

Wouldnt trust this place to change a bicycle tire. My cars tire had a leak so I stopped in and asked if they could plug it. They called me an hour later and said my whole tire was splitting and needed to be replaced. I had them put the old one back on as I planned to go elsewhere for a second opinion as that seemed a bit odd since the tire is in good condition. So my car was running strange and the idle was weird at a stop light like the car was going to die. Not happy that they did not fix it and ladies be aware that you need to get a second opinion before giving these people your business. Mechanic did not know what he was doing and wanted to keep charging me $$$$$$$ for things that were not even wrong with the car.. very unhapppy! Please do not frequent this establishment as their customer service is terrible and the manager is even worse! I went to get a new safety sticker for the registration of my vehicle which French Wrench gladly did for the $20.00 fee. Come to find out that since my car was only a year old it did not require a new sticker because on new cars the safety stickers are good for two years. But instead of the attendant telling me this little bit of information, they took my money and gave me another sticker with 2011 on it. I brought this to their attention that they should have informed me of this policy for new vehicles but instead the guy shrugs his shoulder and said he no read what my paper say regarding the year of my vehicle when he fill out safety sticker form, that not his responsibility. He then continues to put on the new sticker totally ignoring what I just brought to his attention. When I gave them my registration for them too fill out the necessary paper work and they no read my paper!?!? My vehicle year was right there in black and white on my registration that said "09. When they saw the '09 the station at that time should have said to me that another safety inspection it is not required on my year vehicle. If they were any kind of reputable station they should have noted this and advised right away and not act like that was not their responsibility to tell me. read more
