every time I get my oil changed from there my car always has a problem, they purposely mess some parts in your car so you can pay more to get it fixed, 1st time my brakes were squeaking after 2nd my cold was just hot air literally right after and now the 3rd time my engine shakes like crazy, so I do not recommend this place read more

Went when it was raining. I was quickly met at the entrance and the door was held open for me. Everyone was so polite. They quickly recognized a nail that was in my tire and gave me a good recommendation on where to get it fixed quickly. The service was done quick and I was real happy with how well they vacuumed. The mechanic drove my car up to the front entrance and opened my car door open for me so I wouldn't get wet. I had never been to this Jiffy Lube location before and I'm always hesitant about going to a new mechanic. From the moment I pulled up, I felt welcome and like they weren't going to try and sell me things I didn't need. I was getting an oil change- they asked me my mileage preference for reminders, type of oil, etc. Never once did they try to add anything extra. The oil change was quick and they also replaced my filters (which I know needed replacement). They honored my coupon and were very polite. I spoke to about 3 different mechanics in my short time there and they were all professional and polite. They even walked me to the car at the end and opened the door for me. This may seem small, but I've never gotten this treatment at any other car place before. Afterwards, my car was making a weird sputtering sound and I brought it back. The manager took a look and saw there was some dirt left on the filter sensor. He personally blew out the dirt and had others deep clean the filter area. Would it have been nice to have it cleaned this well the first time? Yes. But I appreciate the time they took in making it right and they were again professional and polite throughout the experience and did not try to tell me something else was wrong with my car. I highly recommend this location and will be going back for all my future oil changes. read more

AVOID THIS PLACE LIKE THE PLAGUE!! FRAUDS WORK HERE. Went here for a full synthetic oil change and a transmission fluid drain/fill. Before they did the service, I stated that I had $15 off a full-syn oil change coupon, and 10% off any additional service coupon. The guy at the counter said, and I am quoting him now, "Yeah, that's perfectly fine." So, I allowed them to do the two services on my vehicle. After this JiffyLube location completed the work, I went back to the counter to pay, and handed the cashier my two coupons who then said, "These aren't valid at this location, so I won't accept them." He told me that he wouldn't accept them and that I had to pay the full un-discounted amountor they would call the police for theft of services and have me arrested. So, I paid the full amount .. THEN .. that same cashier at the counter handed me a flyer for my next visit .. WITH .. GET THIS .. coupons for $15 off my next JiffyLube Signature Full-Syn oil change, AND 10% off my next service!!!! I will NEVER go back to this location ever again!!! Nice people, but don't get Brakes done at jiffy. They don't do rear drums, only disc brakes. Mine rub and shakes after 2 hour replacement! Took it back for brakes and blamed it on drums, and could fix noises. Sucky experience on brakes- 4/10. I took my car to Goodyear Palumbos 6 weeks later, and still had the vibration and rubbing feeling in my brakes. Remember Jiffy lube Glasgow did my brake job! Goodyear said that the rear drums were terribly out of adjustment needed a cleaning and major adjustment, and so they did the rear drums. Jiffy Lube doesn't do rear/front drum brakes ! "Goodyear looked at the front brakes from Jiffy Lube and said that everything is new and that they found a small defect in one of the calipers that could cause a little bit of a vibration, but not enough to fully replace the caliber, so they suggested that I leave the front brakes alone for now. Goodyear said the slight defect and warping of the front brake component that was installed from Jiffy Lube could cause a noise or a slight sensation when stepping on the brake pad pedal inside the car? But, not enough to replace the whole system. We got the car back after eight hours of work on brakes, oil change, etc. and we drove the car, and the rubbing and the vibration was 97% gone !!!!!! It could've been the drum brakes like Jiffy Lube said, and it could've been a slight defect in warping in the Jiffy Lube part, I guess I will never know but it is fixed now. It's just a shame that Jiffy Lube couldn't give me any kind of solution to my vibration and rubbing after their brake replacement caused the noise and the vibration? It makes me feel like I would never go here for breaks again! Find the people that work at Jiffy Lube in Glasgow are very nice and accommodating and helpful, but if I go there I have to know that I'm going to get 100% solid mechanical solutions and service, and I just don't feel like they can handle certain projects above oil changes and fluid exchanges? I wish them well and good future business! read more

I'm sharing a recent experience I had at this Jiffy Lube located at 2439 Pulaski Highway, Newark, DE 19702. I hope everyone in the area will take the time to read it and learn from my mistake. Yesterday, I brought my wife's car there and paid $91 for an oil change and a new fuel filter (the latter I let them talk me into). When I got the car back, I noticed two things: 1. The oil life indicator on the dash still showed 0% life left. I know this is a resettable indicator and thought little of it at first; 2. I noticed later that the sticker in the windshield said to bring the car back again at 86,000 miles. The car had 94,000 when I brought it in... hmm... Today I went to complain about the above, and while I have a receipt showing that I paid them, today they show no record of my having brought the car in to them yesterday. Another thing that doesn't "smell right" - when I dropped the car yesterday, they said they'd need 45 minutes to complete it. So I went to the McD's next store for coffee. They called me on my cell phone less than 20 minutes later to say it was done. Did they actually do the work? Or just charge me for it? The horrible attitudes of the employees, including the manager, did absolutely nothing to make me feel like they had any interest in my business or helping to resolve my concerns. Draw your own conclusions from my story. Certainly Jiffy Lube as a company has been in the news before, accused of the kind of shenanigans my experience suggests. I went here because it had better reviews than the Elkton location but I usually stay away from Jiffy Lube. Also, the Goodwrench Quick Lube was closed and I did not want to travel out to the Valvoline by New Castle. I should have just stayed away. When I pulled in their was no waiting which was nice and they were courteous but from the start I was concerned. I could hear them joke that guy did not have new filter on right and they spilled oil all over my engine. I could see then using a rag while laughing at guy who did it along with some spray. Then while checking my air filter, one guy was wrestling with the housing to get it opened instead of stopping to see why it would not come off so easy. Here is the real problem, I did not realize at the time but in wrestling with my air housing, guy had actually damaged my air intake hose. Unbelievable, now I have to get this fixed but at least it is a simple fix despite cost. No way would I take it back or deal with them again. Jiffy Lube does it again. I will just stick to taking my cars to either the dealer like I always do or to a real shop with certified mechanics like Meineke, Firestone, Sears, etc... I know people have to learn but let it be at school or on their own cars. Unfortunately, this is why Jiffy Lube continues to have a bad reputation. read more

I will not visit this place again, sorry. I have had an oil change here before and it worked fine. Today I visited the place to get my tire fixed (I had looked online in advance and jiffy lube in general does provide tire services but this location apparently doesn't, something that as it appears I found out later) As soon as I get there one of the employees approaches me and asks me to pop up the hood and place my keys at the driver's door which I did. They drive my car in and check engine and cabin filter etc. So far though NO ONE has asked me what I really need. Literally, no one. I need my tire fixed that's why I went there. So far I am like, ok its probably a standard process, thats how they roll. After 4 mins though another employee approaches me and asks me if I want full synthetic oil. At this time I inform him that I do not want an oil change and he's like "well, we already drained it"!! After a long back and forth of "no you asked for one" and me saying " NO why would I, I did an oil change 2 months ago, full synthetic..." the manager decides to refill my oil tank. BTW up to this point I have not authorized any work on the vehicle what-so-ever. So what's the issue here? Did I get my oil refiled for no extra charge? YES I did.My issue here is that I did not want all this, I did not ask for all this and no one acknowledged that they made a mistake here. They actually tried to convince me that it is my fault. So to conclude this. When I visit a shop 1)I am not aspiring to fight with employees who dont do their job right, this drama is not and should not be part of my day. 2) I dont want anyone working on my car with no authorization (whats next? and obligatory break pad change? "no you asked for one" etc?"). 3) In any case, I prefer to stay at any shop for 5 mins more and have someone spending the time to actually ask me what I want. It's called customer service. My life is busy enough to deal with people like this. And guess what: Midas is down the street. You have to wait longer yes, but they are more professional and probably that's why they are busy. read more

Apparently changing a headlight was too challenging for their technician, so he just decided to skip it. I should have known better going back here after previously having a metal sheet fall off of the bottom of my vehicle as I drove away the previous time they serviced my car (apparently they said they had forgotten to put a screw back in). I went for an oil change on my 2014 Chevy Cruz Diesel. When I was met outside, I told the Jiffy Lube technician that all I wanted was an oil change and I emphasized that my car was a diesel. They took my car into the bay, and called me to give me a summary of serves. When they quoted me, I was quoted for a synthetic oil change. Again I pointed out that my car was diesel, and the technician told that was fine. I went back to the waiting room. 15- 20 minutes later I was called back to the bay area. I was told by a technician ( I wouldn't put his name here. Out of respect.) that the wrong oil had been put in my car, because they didn't know, until it was to late, that my car was diesel. They would need to drain the oil for a second time, and would have to charge me for the more expensive diesel oil change. I was for lack of a better word pissed! They basically had me over a barrel. They offered me a $10 off coupon taking the cost from $90 to $80. I feel I shouldn't have paid anything because I don't know if the wrong oil that was put in my car could do any damage to my engine. I left a complaint on the survey Jiffy Lube sent me, and Jiffy Lube did send me a $19 check that covered the cost difference between a diesel oil change and synthetic oil change. I still feel I should have been given a full refund. I feel Jiffy Lube was trying to do as little as they could to simply make me go away. A word to the wise, don't take your Diesel engine car to Jiffy Lube! You can tell them repeatedly, and they can hear your car run, but the still can't tell the difference between a gasoline engine and a Diesel engine! read more

I never feel like they are just trying to sell me something and unlike a lot of car places I've been to, I am treated with respect. Walmart lube service closed at 5pm, so I decided to try jiffy lube. I'm sorry I did. First, I walked up to the building and I was questioned by an attendant. I told him I only wanted an oil change. He starts to go into his spiel about what I can get for 39.95. I stopped him and asked if they accepted a coupon for $10 off and he said, yes. He then asked for my keys. Five minutes later another attendant enter my info into the computer. He tries to sell me a air filter and antifreeze flush. I said no thank you just the oil change. I can change my own air filter and the antifreeze was just changed last year. Next I go to check out and he says he put air in my tires all the way around at 33psi. I stopped him and stated the front and back gets different amounts of air. He then begins to argue with me that all little cars get 33psi. I said not this one. He continues to argue. I just wanted to leave. After getting my car back it was a quart low. I need to make sure they didn't screw anything else up. It's just an oil change why does it have to be so complicated? I should have known after reading all the negative reviews about this place. Save yourself the trouble and go somewhere else. read more
