Patched a slow leak in my tire and removed a piece of metal from that tire! Very kind employees!

Went to pick up my son and his girlfriend from the airport and return with a flat tire. Went out to pump it up less than a mile away and by the time I got back home, air pressure was down again. So I called Mavis Tires & Brakes and made a appointment to bring my car in to have the tire looked at. Maybe an hour later, when I left home to go to Mavis, the tire was completely flat. Had to call AAA to tow my car to Mavis. It took Mavis less than an hour to get me going. They found the culprit and only charged me $30 to plug up my tire. They didn't try to tell me that I need to replace my tire or upsell me anything. They just plugged up my tire and I was good to go. Mike and Luis at the front desk were couple of good guys. I would definitely recommend them and go back if I need tires or brakes work done again. read more

Scheduled an appointment with Mavis for 12. Arrived at 11:50 and was promptly told they would not be able to get my car in for 1.5hrs and may take up to 2 additional hours to finish. I briefly looked around and there was no seating available. On my day off, after scheduling ahead I'm expected to stand for 3.5-4 hours and wait because they overbooked? I cancelled the appointment after waiting for about 20 minutes and realizing I'd be standing the entire time. If they did not have availability until 3:30 they should not have scheduled the appointment. read more

They over charge and the plug they put in my tire didn't hold . My close friend went there and they said she needed brakes when they had just changed them in July . I believe they are under new management cause the customer service was much better this past summer . I don't recommend !!! read more

Beware: the staff will rummage through your car and steal your belongings. I took my vehicle in last weekend to have a tire replaced. After waiting four days for the tire to arrive and be installed, I returned to find my car had been gone through and possessions, including cash that was kept in a storage compartment, had been stolen (the thief was kind enough to leave the change, thankfully.) I returned to the store and explained the situation to the manager, who was disinterested and offered a nonchalant denial and suggested I'm free to call corporate. No concern, no apologies, just the kind of faux indignation you'd expect from someone who has probably dealt with this time and time again and simply doesn't care. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place like the coronavirus. read more

I needed tires and I went online to see what was available. After a picked out tires I went there and I told them the ones I was interested in. After about 20 minutes thee employee came back and said he couldn't find the 3rd tire and offered me different kind and they would 10 dollars cheaper per then the tires I wanted so I said sure. After I notice the handle on my car was terrible. I went to the dealer to see what was wrong and they told me I had the wrong tires. I contacted the company who made the tires and when they told me the same thing they were not designed for me car. I went back to NTB and they me they fit. That's it. I called NTB and the rep said he will call the location to fix it. Well I got better tires but the business relationship is burned. read more

Visited NTB because I needed new tires. It worked out well because they were able to get me in on a Sunday. I called and spoke with John. He was very polite and helpful. I was there for about two hours because I also got an oil change and a wheel alignment. I was able to hop online and watch TV in the breakroom. All and all it was a great experience. So I scheduled an appointment for 11/17 @ 430pm to drop my car off for service & the customer service rep told me that they couldn't see me because they didn't have me in the system. Even though I received confirmation to my email address. He then proceeded to tell me to bring my vehicle in this morning at 9am. Myself along with several other individuals were waiting in the cold for over 20 minutes before I decided to leave. Mind you the shop is supposed to open at 9am. Very displeased given I had to completely reorganize my day to accommodate for their mistake. All I wanted was a simple oil change before our road trip for the holiday. read more

I purchased a dual top 3 year battery and called NTB Concord Pike , and they indicated that they had such battery. I drove 25 miles to get it installed and did not check their work. Upon getting home several weeks later, I discovered they only installed only side mount battery.. a little cheaper battery and in the process, the mechanic with bad labor disconnected my wind wiper hose which leaked onto the road which I found out later it was dislocated upon the installation of the battery.. That cost me $25.00:to have reconnected. A week later, my battery would not charge and had to have another brand battery installed because the mechanic had used tax the old side mount bolts which hold the battery cables onto the battery. In the process of using the old stripped bolts, they stripped the threads on the battery allowing the battery not to charge because of the stripped connection on the battery. I had to get another battery two months after the purchase and I took the battery back with explanation. After nearly much argument, they would not give the money back for their new battery, Finally, they would give me half.. Obviously, no satisfaction guarantee existed here... I would go elsewhere. read more

I have never been satisfied with this place. This time it was a simple oil change appointment on Thursday afternoon, which was made a week in advance. Upon arriving the guy tells us that they don't have the filter available so we will have to come back Sunday. As I went back and the guy quoted me a rate of $81 and asked me to wait 45 mins. After 20 mins he comes back and tells me that the rate is $103 now. He says that he never ordered the filter when we were there last time. Now he doesn't know when the filter is going to arrive and we can sit and wait all day. This was the last straw and we will never use their services again. read more

After waiting an hour for them to look at my leaking tire they said it needed to be replaced and because it's an AWD they recommend replacing all 4. I know that's recommended but I went home with my slow leak to price tires. The next day I stopped by General Tire and watched as they pulled a small nail out and patched it. Was on vacation in Delaware and needed new tires. Went here cause they had open appointment.... as the tires are being replaced I'm told I need new brakes and rotors. No problem get them done. I'm not 8k miles in and my car shakes very bad. I called them and they told me to bring it to any. I live in Philadelphia. All them have just turned to Mavis. So I call back. Now they say I have to wait til Sunday nothing is open, take to any store. Cool. I call Jersey. They won't take it they tell me take back to the store that did work. I call the original store that did the work and rest assured they tell me I can. I call another store in Delaware (concord pike)and they agree I can bring it. I drive down 1 hour from Philadelphia to get here to be told they don't do warranty work that I have to take it to the store that did the work. I explain to the women everything that happened. She says I need to go to the store that did the work. Then a gentleman comes out saying now we do the work it's okay schedule him..... I spent almost 2k dollars just this time and have always gotten oil changes and everything else done at ntb. After this if it's not fixed then I'll be going to the dealership and having them fix it. I won't ever come back and neither will anyone I have recommended in the past. read more

I made an appointment and they still said it would be a long wait to even get my car back. Once the car was all done it was still a long wait for them to even call me up to pay, in fact they never did call me up. I had to just figure out my car was no longer in the bay and finished. This was at no fault the person behind the desk, as she was a one woman show and doing the best she could. Everyone was very friendly and the hours are great. I read the reviews and still tried to give them a chance. I called to see how long it would take to get a tire plugged. They told me it was an all day deal because they were booked. I asked again about just a plug and the person on the phone got smart with me. Don't worry you'll never get my business. Have taken my car 2 times for an oil change and tire rotation coupon special. Both times they left most of plastic nuts that hold on my center caps loose. I could hear my center caps making noise on my way home. The were barley hanging on. They also try so sell a bunch of service adds ons as well. But that's common. Leaving things loose. Second time I went to NTB, and was turned away, because they didn't have time to service me. It was 6pm on a Tuesday night, and they were open till 8pm. Told guy at the counter, that I had bought my tires here, 58,000 miles ago, and I have a slow leak, I was hoping to get fixed. This is when I realized he didn't hear a word I said, he just says "we wont have time to look at it tonight, would you like to set an appointment?" The 1st time I was turned away was for a brake inspection. Same reason, not enough time. I ended up buying new brakes, pads and rotors, the next week, at another establishment, and spent close to 1K. "not enough time" keeps running through my mind. On the tires, I had another company fix the leak, and gave me a quote on new tires, and an estimate, on how many miles mine had left. Open a business, but turn business away seems like the worst. Thought I'd share. read more

I had scheduled an appointment and was told it would be 2 hours because their online system can't tell what their schedule is like. Currently been waiting 12 business hours to have a flat tire fixed. Initially told my girlfriend when she called that it wouldn't EVEN BE ABLE TO COME INTO THE SHOP TILL TUESDAY. I should have known better then to bring it here for something this simple but out of principle (CONSIDERING I PAID FOR THE WARRANTY WHEN I GOT THE TIRES) I decided to go the cheap free route, instead of idk.... right down the road to the 8 other tire centers in less then a mile radious that quoted me at $25 dollars and a 45 minute wait time. It's a joke and I'm very upset considering I've been going to this location since it was a parts plus. I've spent hundreds and hundreds of dollars here just to wait around like a jackass. I don't know if there is no work ethic in this shop, or if they have any idea to run a business. So I schedule an appointment online on 11/17 for Sunday morning at 10. I get there around 9:50 only to see 7 customers standing in line with only 1 terminal open. At 10, another employee opens up another terminal. At approx. 10:13 it's my turn. I tell the associate I have an appointment at 10 and he tells me it will be awhile before they get to my vehicle. I ask why since I have an appointment and he tells me it's because it was done on the web and there are other vehicles ahead of me. Now, one would think, the purpose of setting an appointment is so you will have priority over a walk in customer. I guess with NTB a web appointment is only a fallacy. All the customers ahead of me were walk in customers. How do I know this you ask? Because I listened to every one of them and not one said anything about having an appointment. So my vehicle would have to wait before all the others that were ahead of me. This is total bull crap! I just walked out. I wasn't going to waste my Sunday by sitting there waiting 3 or more hours for my vehicle to get done when it should only have taken 1 hour or less. If appointments are not honored, then NTB should not even allow customers to set one up. I will conclude by saying that this particular NTB in Bear, Delaware is the worst that I have been to. read more

I started bringing my vehicles here a few years back, and I couldn't be happier. No need to go anywhere else. I've gotten oil changes, new tires, brakes, shocks and struts. They do it all. I've never been disappointed. Arnold, TJ, Hank, Todd (even back when Tony and Doug were there)...Friendly, courteous, helpful, knowledgeable, professional. I brought my car in to have the wheels changed (not the tires, the wheels). Wanted them mounted and balanced. They said they should be able to have it done yesterday (Friday). Called at 7:25 pm to check the status... Was put on hold for 15 minutes and 23 seconds. Then was told that they have only one of the wheels on and they would be able to get it finished tomorrow morning(Saturday). I called this morning around 11:30 and was told that it wasn't finished (on hold for 5 minutes again). At 1:40 pm, I went there, only to find that the wheels (all four) were still in their boxes and NOTHING had been done... I was assured that they would be completed prior to closing at 7 pm tonight.. I truly hope for their sake that they're telling the truth THIS time. No matter what, I urge everyone to avoid this place. read more
