Worst experience at a Jiffy Lube ever! Hope this survey finds its way to the right people who can do something. Service was terrible. Took 2 hours of my morning all for a simple services. My lug nuts were completely ruined and my rims damaged. After they ruined the lug nuts they came to me and said that I could buy new ones for $100. My skid plate was not put back on and I'm glad I checked or I would've never known. Talked to the manager and he just gave me the run around and was very unhelpful. He said he'd have the district manger contact me and he never did. 0/10 read more

The service here was good. My only problem is there is now grease/ dark marks all along the inside ceiling of my car by the door. Update: I called Jiffy Lube and they said that I could come in at any time for them to clean the marks off my car. They were very nice about it and it came out clean, but the Jiffy Lube that I had went to was not near my home so it was a big inconvenience for me to have to go back there to get it cleaned. read more

Im visiting my son, daughter in law and grandson in Utah from California. I took my wife's car to this location for an oil change before we make the drive back home. I spoke to Marc(manger) on the phone(very kind young man), i showed up and the young men were all very friendly and helpful, most of all though, Nick (shop foreman)was very kind & accommodating. These Gentleman were ALL very professional and courteous and did their best to get me in and out so i could enjoy the rest of my day with my family. I will always return here as long as these Gentleman are still in charge of this facility. Great job Gentleman--i appreciated your professionalism, kindness and overall attitude! I took my perfectly running truck here for emissions and re-registration. No check engine lights were on when i arrived. After they worked on the truck for a while they indicated the check engine light was on and couldn't proceed. I'm very dissatisfied with this situation read more

This jiffy lube saved me a near disaster 3 min before they closed!! I had my oil changed at a nearby garage, and apparently they stripped my pan, and attempted to put a different plug in it! 9 hrs later I noticed oil dripping at a high rate from underneath my car. I called the garage that changed my oil initially and they were closed. I called jiffy lube who are 1 min away from where I live and they indicated they would look at it even though they were closing. I can't thank them enough for fixing the plug with a rubberized plug. Now to take it back for a new oil pan...bets if the previous garage will change it on their dollar?? You KNOW I'll let you all know!!! Thanks so much jiffy lube of S Ogden!! The saying goes "a fool and his money are soon parted." Turns out the "fool" was my stepson and the "money" was the $85 he got charged for an oil change. Now, tactics more slimy than the oily floor you are walking on have been around a long time at some lube stations. I partially label this as my fault for not giving the boy a proper warning before he went in to the place. He was billed $55 for the high mile oil change, which I can tongue-in-cheek agree with. The air filter and fluid top offs crossed the line. The air filter wasn't a few months old and we recently topped off all the fluids. There are good profits and bad profits. This place apparently focuses on the latter. They obviously won't be receiving any more of our business. I can't afford it. An expensive lesson for a teenager to learn. read more

I know, getting your car serviced can be a frustrating thing to deal with in the first place. So I'm already judging it as a semi okay experience would be five stars. I have a work trip where I need to drive over 1,000 miles, tomorrow. So I drop my car off at noon today, with a large list of things that need to be done. This is a lease plan vehicle so the lease company pays for it all, and are strict about what I need done and at what mileage. Well they say, "wow that's a lot, but we are full service at this location we can do ANYTHING, even remove the engine if you needed." I said awesome, so you have the list, about how long will it take to finish? 2 hours max. Well I go get it at 230, and I see the bill is only for an oil change and tire rotation. No brake service, no transmission serviced, no air filters, windshield wipers, etc. I ask the "customer experience manager" why that is, he said that's for everything they were supposed to do. Then looked at the list he had, and said oh. Well the transmission doesn't really need to be serviced til 60-100k Miles. Well it has 60k, and that's why I left the car with you. I explained that I left it here, arranged a ride, etc. he said "he will talk to the employee I left it with." What good does that do? I still have a car that was supposed to get all of that done before I drove across the country. And now you want me to wait even longer? I'll go somewhere else next time. -very disappointed customer. read more

Not a bad place to change oil but expect to be up-sold. When I waited to 5000 miles to change my oil the attendant tried to guilt me into an expensive upgrade and made a note in his computer that I'm neglecting my car. Shame on you Jiffy Lube! The dishonesty of this company!! I have been using Jiffy Lube for over 10 years and have always had great service. However, I recently moved and went to the Jiffy Lube Store #2020 in South Ogden Utah. The wrongdoing at this location has me beyond upset. It has taken me a few days to be able to write a review. I went in for a simple oil change. The manager says to me I need new spark plugs. Him being a Mechanic/Manager I believed him (looking back I did not need them changed due to my car was running at 100% perfect) but as a woman I was definitely taken advantage of. They changed my spark plugs and I thought I would be on my way. NOPE! I didn't even make it out of their parking lot and my car bogs down to 5mph and my check engine light comes on. I immediately turned around and pulled up to the doors. The kid that worked on my car walks over and I told him what just happened. He and another coworker looked at each other like "oh crap" THEY KNOWINGLY KNEW SOMETHING WOULD BE WRONG WITH MY CAR AND STILL ALLOWED ME TO LEAVE. The kid that worked on my car said "Not to throw anyone under the bus but our manager purchased cheap spark plugs, and the manufacturer of this company sells crap parts & should be shut down". I am outraged that they knowingly put garbage spark plugs in my 2017 Honda Civic EX-L turbo and yet charged me $120.00 for them. The kid apologized and you could tell he was upset by the situation he was put in. He did put "new" plugs in free of charge HOWEVER my car is not running like it was before I took it in. More garbage plugs put in my car, awesome!. How in the world can you do this to customers Jiffy Lube!. Blatantly screw people over to save a buck! And still make them pay full price for garbage. On January 25, 2020 I went for an oil change at the South Ogden Jiffy Lube. After a while the worker came out and showed me a very dirty air filter and suggested I have it replaced. Something seemed wrong so I declined. Afterwards I popped the hood and looked at my air filter. It was a different size and shape than the one I was shown and was perfectly white and clean. My wife left the house and I noticed a huge puddle of oil on the floor. My son mentioned they had gone to change the oil at Jiffy Lube. We normal don't go there so I asked my wife about it. She took the car back and they fixed whatever was loose and leaking oil. I am not sure if it was the plug or the filter. Checked my checking account and saw a $91+ bill for a simple oil change. Typical Jiffy Lube tactic, after speaking with my wife, they had duped her into air filters, coolant and probably a couple other charges. I really hate this company. Every time I have used them over the years, I have regretted it. Never going here again and I would caution anyone considering this chain. They are a bunch of used car salesmen with mechanic jumpsuits on. Prepare to argue with a sales guy NOT to add additional services, or even better, just go elsewhere. read more

Stripped my stud, in the process of fixing it, bent my axle .then told me they they put a new stud on and a new axle. Took it to another mechanic because my car was making noises and wheel was shaking .they ground down the stud, used the same axle and pounded it in more, breaking even more stuff. Over all, they have cause 1200 dollars worth of damage. Mechanic told me I have been very unsafe driving this car. And trying to get this taken care of has been a joke. Went to the South Ogden location to have an emissions test done on our car. There were two workers in the bays working. I stood at the counter for about five minutes. With no one coming to help me, I went and sat down. After about fifteen minutes sitting down I finally just got up and left. About twenty minutes there and not one person came over to me to see what I needed. I had a coupon, so I drove down to the Riverdale location. I was met in the parking lot, I was able to sit in my car for the whole emissions test. I was there about 55 minutes total. They were nice, helpful, and at least they actually talked to me. I was able to use my coupon also. Will not be going back to the South Ogden location again. I will be going to the Riverdale location in the future. read more

My husband and I had a terrible experience at this Jiffy Lube, one that was exacerbated by a horrible manager, Ryan. What was supposed to be a quick, routine oil change and transmission fluid change, turned into 6 hours and an undriveable car. Instead of apologizing and informing us of the problem, he was argumentative and rude, even in front of a room full of customers. In the hours that followed, he continued making comments and jokes about our situation to his co-workers and customers. He even told a customer, "We ruined your transmission," in a joking reference to ours. It was definitely awkward for everyone involved. Because of his poor managerial skills, other customers who had no problems with their cars or service were left with a poor impression of this particular Jiffy Lube location. Many of them commented on how terribly he was acting. When we expressed our concerns about the service we were receiving, Ryan told us to call HR, but refused to give us a phone number or method of contact. When we asked for a detailed list of what was done to our car, he again refused. A fellow customer who is a mechanic at another shop was appalled by the service we were receiving and told us never to go to a Jiffy Lube again. Also, our 2013 Kia Optima is no longer driveable. The transmission is shot and we had to be towed home. It is still left to be seen how Jiffy Lube will handle our situation. read more

Been bringing my fleet car here for the typical maintenance. Not sure why they have two bays! 4 guys and only one bay in use, as my car sits outside waiting for a stupid oil change. Plus the cost for the oil change ranges from $45 to $110 and the fleet coupon is always for the same thing!! What a damn racket. It's Big O from now on. Not this damn place. What a joke. read more

We came here with our RV to get an oil change, because one of the other Ogden locations said it would be a 90 minute wait. Because this Jiffy Lube is older, the service bays are small, and we couldn't fit. Manager Shawn said, "No problem, we can do it in the parking area. We have buckets to capture the oil." On top of that, he knocked $10 off the price, when my husband said he wished we had brought one of our coupons from home. read more

Run, don't walk away from this location. They performed an oil change for my elderly mother and talked her into new spark plugs. They put one of the cases in the engine back on incorrectly, forcing the accelerator cable to engage. She had to slam on the breaks to get the car stopped, thus ruining the breaks. Jiffy Lube denies all responsibility for the situation. We are stuck with $500 plus of bills and the car isn't even fixed yet. read more

These guys are dishonest crooks. My wife took her car in to get the oil changed and was told the brakes were worn out and needed to be replaced. However, we had just barely had all new brakes installed by a different mechanic. After that we had a free brake inspection by another mechanic and were told the brakes looked brand new. I would not trust any recommendations from Jiffy Lube. read more

Beware! I took my truck to Jiffy Lube to have my brake system bled. The tech drained and filled my master cylinder and said he was done. When asked, he agreed to bleed the system as I paid for. 90 minutes later after two techs insisting to "gravity bleed" the system I left with a brake pedal that went to the floor. I'll pressure bleed the system myself and make it safe. Glad this didn't happen to my wife or daughter. They would have been taken for $70 read more

I went for Oil change and emission check... up sale up sale up sale... The kids working there have no clue, tell you go here go there, no communication between themselves, all over the place like little chickens without their head. I've had bad experiences with mechanics messing with things that don't need messed with and breaking more than they can fix, charging ridiculous prices. So no, I don't need you kids recommending things that I know my car doesn't need. And the thing that is in need of fixing, they don't know what's wrong with it. So I am taking it else where, never again for an emission check. Waste your time and money here if you want sub-par service and fresh off school kids to work on your valuables. read more

I haven't trusted Jiffy Lube to do much of anything on my car for a while now, but I didn't think they could screw up my safety and emissions testing. Boy was I wrong! They can't even remove and reinstall my tires properly! They cross threaded 4 of the 5 nuts leaving me with a very dangerous situation (breaks didn't work properly, serious steering wheel shimmying, and a horrid sound). Of course this wasn't apparent for about a two miles. The return trip was the most nerve wracking thing I've experienced in a very long time. The only reason they didn't receive 1 star is because they actually had the studs fixed free of charge. (Which really isn't that what they should do!?!) read more

Will never go back. After taking my truck in for safety and failing ONLY for my headlights, I fixed them and brought it back and failed for tint. After taking it in the second time, now my security system has been disabled. What in the world did they do while they were inspecting it? Terrible experience. Only stick to oil changes. They are great for oil changes although a bit pricy. I had jiffy lube do a transmission fluid exchange, turns out they over filled the fluid by an entire quart causing my transition to explode. Now I am out a car and the cost of a new transmission. Thanks for that Jiffy Lube! If I could I would sue them for the damages but I don't know how I would go about that! read more

Wretched experience. I came in for an oil change and $700 later new CV axles and the wrong power steering fluid in my steering pump, which now means the rack below must be pulled and replaced. The windshield cleaner freezes below 30 degrees. How do these guys stay in business? read more

Severely disappointed in their quality of work, overall competence, and integrity. Took my car in for an oil change and tire rotation, and they completely broke off 2 of my wheel studs while changing the tire. They told me that since they were closing in 30 minutes they couldn't fix their mistake that night, and that I would have to leave my car there. I told them that I worked at both of my jobs (with only 30 minutes between) the next day and would need my car. They swore up and down that they would have my car dropped off at my first job by noon. I called 4 times the next day and got the run around every time. Finally at 6:00pm they brought me my car (After I called upset and was late to work). I understand that it was out of their way to drop off my car, but I'm upset they made promises they weren't willing to keep. read more

This is the worst customer service I have ever received!!!! I have had an on going refund issue for 3 weeks now can't get anyone to answer phones no one calls back! Even went in a week ago after being told by the customer service manager he could help me I just needed to come in. Then to only find he couldn't actually help me he had to talk to his gm. Then I left and asked his manager call me to get this issue resolved another week has gone by and nothing! Needed a transmission quick couple replaced due to a leak and was assisted by Kevin and Rick. They advised that the part wasn't available through J.L. and would be marked up considerably if they ordered it for me. Recommended I get the part from the dealership then they would put it on for free. I was able to get the part from the dealership and spoke to the techs there about the guys at this specific J.L. location. Even they said they were "good guys" and "top notch." Kevin got my part replaced for me free of charge (very VERY thankful single mom of 4 on a tight budget.) These guys were awesome....they explained things and answered all of my questions. WORLD CLASS customer service! I would recommend them and would have been 5 stars except for part avail. read more

I am very disappointed in many aspects with my experience at Jiffy Lube. I went to get my brake pads and shoes replaced, and they were very nice and helpful at first. They finished in over 2 hours when they had told me it would be done in 1 and a half hours. I left and drove it for most the day and every time I would press the brakes they would pull to one side and straighten out. I brought it back the next day and they took a look again and said the shoes Weren't adjusted properly. They did the work and I was on my way. Again drove it and the pull was slightly better but still not fixed. I brought it back on Monday this is now the third time I have brought it back and they are saying now that the alignment is out. This pulling to one side was never an issue until I left my car with jiffy lube. I am very disappointed and I won't come to this location for my repair needs again. I strongly discourage this location. Also many of the employees seemed to slack off while one person works on the car. read more

We recently took our truck here to have an oil change and a maintenance check up. We were told our engine coolant was low, and charged an additional fee to have it filled. After driving the truck for approx 300 miles, the engine seized up causing the truck to become inoperable. We had to have it towed to a local mechanic who told us the engine was completely dry of coolant. There were no leaks and Jiffy lube admitted there was NO way the coolant could have dried up if it were indeed filled. Unfortunately they are saying there is too much "gray area" to reimburse us for having to replace the engine in our truck. I would never never trust these people with your car unless you want it to never run again! read more

a very convenient location, nice staff. but three strikes over the last couple of years: charged for coolant they forgot to put in, put my registration sticker on another car in the shop ( quite a pain for me to contact the state and redo registration), and now -- by sheer accident -- i realized that i have been driving without an engine air filter for almost two weeks. popped the hood and saw that the cover was not latched. opened it-- no filter inside. and i paid them to replace it! ATTENTION TO DETAIL, that would have helped. So, if you go there, CHECK THEIR WORK. Update: after writing this, I copied and pasted it to online comments to Jiffy Lube corporate. Without my asking for it, they promptly issued me full credit for the botched service. While I cannot say this has been resolved to my full satisfaction, not all human/corporate decency is lost :) read more
