For those of us who are keeping our cars past the warranty period or driving used cars, there is a great need for good mechanics to do service and repair on these older cars. We need an alternative to the big dealerships. Orland Best Service (OBS) was really a find. My 8 year old Chevy pickup had an air-conditioning (AC) problem. When I first turned it on this season it blew warm air. Thought I might need a Freon top-off. When getting an oil change at the dealer, I asked about this and was told the standard price is $180 to LOOK at the AC. Keeping in mind that anything they found - even a Freon top-off would be an add on to the $180 - I said I would go elsewhere. Finally found OBS where the standard price for servicing the AC is less than $100. My first visit was just me showing up with no appointment one day. Tom - who is the lead dog here - took a look and checked a part to make sure the flap on the blower that changes over from heat to AC was working, and finally said he'd need a bit longer to diagnose the problem so we set up a date to come back two days later. I asked him what I owed for the hour he'd already spent - nothing. He said he hadn't done anything, so I didn't owe anything. Nice honest answer. Brought the pickup back two days later and left it. He was pretty busy so he didn't get to it until later but when he finally did he found that the little in-line filter on the compressor lines was clogged. He cleaned out the filter, made sure the Freon charge was up to snuff, and finished the job in about an hour. The price - $60. So, in sum ... if you are looking for a good solid mechanic who isn't afraid to get his hands dirty and is willing to try on anything ... this just might be your guy. Keep in mind this is only a two-man shop, but if you don't have to have your vehicle fixed in the next 30 minutes and you are willing to maybe wait to get it done right, you'll find Tom can usually get it done and at a very fair price. Very pleased and will bring my vehicles back for servicing.

Gerald promised to call back within two hours after contacting the warranty department, but three days have passed without any follow-up. This has left me feeling undervalued and mistrustful of Audi Orland Park. In my case, two oil gaskets needed changing. At Downtown Chicago Parts crucial to my engine's functioning were left unattached on the passenger side floor upon picking up my vehicle. Taking my vehicle to another shop, the repair took only 1.5 hours and cost less than $1,000, including oil fill-up, fresh brake fluid, and trans fluid. To all consumers, be wary of manipulation tactics. Take a picture of your dashboard/mileage for drop off and pick up, maintain communication with your service writer, and be aware of necessary repairs. Nanette G.

He checked on our progress and when we decided the Dexter brake assembly was the problem, he helped us find a new brake assembly nearby.     My vehicle was towed in to Tinley Auto Repair tuesday after an accident. my vehicle was towed to…read morethe bodyshop wednesday, and i received a call that my bodyshop did not receive the keys to my vehicle. I called Tinley Auto Repair wednesday at around 5 pm and they informed me the key was mislabeled as a toyota, when it is a subaru, and that caused confusion. I was understanding about that, and asked about having my key delivered to the body shop. I was told that they would contact my bodyshop and have the key delivered. I visited my bodyshop thursday at around 10 am and was told that Tinley Auto Repair did not contact them yet. i called Tinley Auto Repair and was told that "We are a small shop, and we only have 5 people working here, i dont know when the key can be delivered" to which i understand that, but i was informed my key would be delivered the day by them, and that they were going to contact my bodyshop. she took my number down and told me she would call me back. I called back at 11:30 and gave my name and asked "i am just trying to figure out whats going on" to which the response was "uh, with what?" i asked "when my keys will be delivered" and i was put on hold, and then she came back and explained the situation from the beginning, which she had already explained to me. I asked when my key would be delivered, and she told me "can you stop? i dont know anything about this, i was just informed of this, this morning" when that is not true, i had called the day before and spoke with her and was told my keys would be delivered for me. she rudely told me the keys would be delivered and then hung up, i called my bodyshop and was informed that Tinley Auto Repair was asking them to come pick up my keys, and now suddenly they are a 4 man shop not a 5 man shop?? also they called my bodyshop AFTER i called them at 10 am. i called again at around 2 to confirm my keys were delivered, and i was told yes and then hung up on. thursday, i left a google review stating my experience and the rude customer service. the company responded, with what i feel is a dishonest response. I do appreciate you taking the time to explain how my keys were mislabeled, and that its not your fault! because you know of course its not your fault. but to say that you guys handled everything yourself, and that my bodyshop appreciated you in this is craaaazzzyyyy. and nothing addressing that attitude on the phone.... so if you value any form of customer service or trust, do not come here! or dont get into an accident in tinley park :)
