Oil change on a Saturday was only a 20 minute wait (plus 15 for the change). Other places were double or triple that. I had my oil changed at Jiffy Lube store #488 on 159th and 94th Ave in Orland Park on 11/1, and it has been nothing but trouble since. Prior to this date, my car was not leaking oil, but the very next day after the service, I noticed oil leaking. I returned to the store multiple times over the following weeks, and each time they failed to resolve the issue. On November 30, after multiple visits, they informed me that I needed an oil gasket, which they replaced for a hefty $240. However, to my dismay, the car continued to leak oil. When I brought the car back, they told me I needed an oil pan gasket for an additional $250. The manager, Bill, was unhelpful and dismissive, claiming there was nothing he could do to rectify the situation. To make matters worse, when I mentioned contacting corporate, Bill refused to provide an estimate. This lack of accountability and transparency is completely unacceptable. I am appalled by the poor service and the fact that I've been left with a hefty bill and a car that still leaks oil. I expected better from a company like Jiffy Lube and am extremely disappointed with the way this matter has been handled. Everyone here is so nice, but yesterday I came here to get an oil change and now all the sudden my car doesn't start! I got there at 4:20 ish yesterday and was told to come back at 5:20. They were very kind and got me in for an oil change as soon as they could. I never manually turn on my brights at the end of my console, when I do use my brights I flash people through the turn signal switch. I did notice this morning however someone turned them on, for what reason idk? Probably wanted me to come back when my battery died (which it did) unless it was an accident. Sat, 10/28/23 we took our Infiniti SUV to Jiffy Lube in Orland Park, IL @ 12pm for an oil change & spark plug replacement. We dropped the car off & called several times that day to check the status of our maint. Work & found they needed to order spark plugs & could either pick up our car & drop it off the following day (Sun) or leave it & have the repair the next day. Sun, we called many times to check the status of our car with no clarity. Finally, about 1 hour before closing, they told us it would be ready by closing. When we got there, the mech. was still working on it & had to wait another 50 min. for him to finish. The mech. said the check engine light came on after the repair bc he needed to change the gaskets due to oil leaking into 1 of them & they tried to clear the codes that caused the check engine light to come on, but returned after clearing it. He also said anytime we bring the car in for service they will "top off" the oil. Once paid, we drove it home about 15 min. away & noticed the car was 100% worse than what it was when brought in (shaking aggressively), the check engine light was flashing, & was misfiring. It wasn't safe to drive in this condition as we later found out from our car manual that this could be catastrophic to the engine. We called on Mon. morning to inform them we were not happy with the status of our vehicle after paying $437.24. We told them about the current condition of our car, the check engine light was flashing & were told the mech. would be in the next morning @ 8am. On Tue.,we went back to Jiffy Lube to have them fix whatever wasn't performed properly. The mech. was 1hr late and jumped into looking at the SUV's issue upon his arrival. After 1.5 hrs of waiting, we went in to talk to the mech.& noticed he was extremely unsure of what he was doing. He was on the computer researching how to perform the work that needed to be done. We had no confidence in this mechanic doing any further work on our car so we took it to Infiniti a few blocks away. We were told that the gaskets in these cars need to be changed when spark plugs are replaced. We had to pay $200 to Infiniti for the computerized diagnostic due to the poor job the Jiffy Lube performed on our car. We decided to take our car to Malley's in Frankfort (our normal mechanic shop) & had the work completed on 11/10/23. Upon completion we were told the following by the mechanic. 1. The gaskets for the spark plugs weren't changed & per protocol, gaskets must be changed with the spark plugs. 2. The oil was tar black, so the oil wasn't changed & gave us the filthy oil filter which we still have. 3. The oil was over-filled (topped off) & spilled into the spark plug gaskets causing the misfire making it unsafe to drive the car. The cost to us due to the damages caused by Jiffy Lube was $1,306.99 & the cost we paid for the work Jiffy Lube did not perform properly was $437.24. The diagnostic cost from Infiniti of Orland is $200. (we sent 3 invoices to corporate). The grand total = $1,944.23. We emailed corporate to voice our displeasure with the service & to give them a chance to rectify before escalation &had the store manager, Bill, reach out who dismissed everything we know as fact listed above. He stated he watched the cameras and saw the work was performed, said we did not bring the car back to them to fix the issue (yet we brought it back that Tue. to have them fix the issue stated above) so it voided the warranty. If he truly had watched the cameras and read everything he would have seen that we are right. Knowing what he was said was untrue, we asked to see the videos but conveniently corporate doesn't allow them to share videos with customers. Bill told us he would refund our $437.24 but, corporate wouldn't allow because too much time passed. We contacted corporate again to discuss, but our email has been ignored. Essentially, they can do/not do whatever they want to your car with no accountability because they hide behind their policy not allowing customers to see videos of their work. Don't go to Jiffy Lube in Orland Park, or any other Jiffy Lube for that matter as they do not have their customers' best interest in mind. read more

I came in for an oil change, upon the recommendation of the technician I got a coolant flush as well. The next morning, I was experiencing leaking antifreeze from my radiator. I noticed, they had not put back my coolant revisor cap. But instead replaced with come some random clack cap that was cracked and didn't fit!! After having my vehicle inspected by my mechanic, I found out too much pressure was used in my radiator flush and caused CRACKS in my radiator!! I have reached out to Jiffy Lube corporate, who refers complaints to the franchisee. I have also reached out to the franchisee directly via email to the email address they provide under every bad review. NO RESPONSE!! STAY AWAY from this place, these guys are completely incompetent!! read more

They don't seem to care for enforcing Covid safety precautions. At one point, a customer was sitting inside the lobby without a mask on with several other customers inside and staff did not say anything, even though they had posted the mask policy on the front door. Staff did not seem to wear masks themselves while in the bay. I did not feel comfortable waiting indoors. read more

Asked them to check air in my tires because of indicator on dash board. Asked for oil too. One of my tires goes flat after I leave from their shop. I can't believe that the staff didn't notice that the tire was going flat. Then when I got home I saw the hood wasn't closed all the way. I pushed it shut and it clicked closed as usual. I feel too scared to go back. Dangerous. Unreliable service. Makes me wonder about everything else. NEVER going back there. read more

It's actually somewhere in between A-OK and Meh, I've experienced better. My first time or two, the experience was overall positive, which facilitated me going back. The last three visits were less than satisfying and two of them needed because they did not resolve the problem correctly in the first place. And though I can't prove it, I believe they screwed up on the visit before last which is what made the last necessary. Had my oil/filter changed at this Jiffy Lube. A week after, while driving in downtown Chicago traffic my car would continue to stall. Had to take it to a shop on Division Street. They found the intake cam shaft position sensor failed. Upon further inspection, the technician found no oil measuring on the dip stick and less than a quart came out of the oil pan. According to the tech, Jiffy Lube did not replace the "o-ring" on the filter, causing the oil to leak out. He stated that the lack of oil contributed to the sensor failure. When Jiffy Lube was confronted with this issue, they offered only to refund for their oil change. No consideration has been given for the repair, and/or the cost of the required transportation to a medical appointment because of the stalling and the expensive cost for the addition oil and filter. I have contacted the Jiffy Lube location, its Management Company and the Corporate Office. I have only heard from the Corporate Office stating that they are contacting the store and the management company and I should get a response. It has been a month since this event happened! Poor customer service with ignoring any contact to get this resolved. Would not use this Jiffy Lube location again! read more

This is long..... So I went to get an oil change this afternoon at Jiffy Lube in Orland on 159TH. I've been going there for a few years. They try to upsell me on some filters and I told them no thanks. The car was done in half an hour. We left and I took my girls to McDonald's. As we're leaving my car won't start all the way and I can't reverse or put it in drive and it's shaking really bad. So I call Jiffy Lube and I'm like I just had an oil change and my car was working fine before and now it's not what the heck?? So they end up sending two of their mechanics to McDonald's to try to take a look at my car. I thought that was pretty cool. They can't figure out what's going on and they probably spent an hour and a half trying to work on it. Finally the mechanic throws in the towel and says I need you to tow it to their shop. The guy at Jiffy Lube offers to stick around in case I need a ride but I told him no thanks and I would figure it out. Tow truck driver shows up and We drove to the shop and all the Jiffy Lube guys are waiting. They close at 7 PM but they stayed late for me. After about 15 minutes of troubleshooting, they determined that my air filter was so dirty that it was restricting airflow to my engine. (Should have just gotten a replacement earlier when they offered). They replace the air filter and take my car around for a test drive and everything is running smoothly. So, I'm getting ready to pay for their services, including the air filter. They won't take anything. They tell me not to worry about it. Jiffy Lube mechanics went out of their way to come to my car when it was away from their shop, stay late to try to work on it and then on top of that they won't take any money for their repair. I highly recommend the Jiffy Lube in Orland Park on 159th St. just east of 94th Ave. They are awesome!!!!!!! read more

I gone to this Jiffy Lube many times (hence 3 stars)& they are very nice guys to work with. Just went there for a simple oil change on Thursday, pulled my car out of my garage today for the first time since the oil change & there was a large puddle of oil that was spread further by my wheels. It was quite a mess & although cleaned up, left an unsightly stain that will take some extra time & money to lessen. I did take me car back & the crew said the gasket had leaked & fixed it. I went here on a Saturday morning just to get my oil changed. It was not busy, but the staff was not very friendly. After getting into my car, they did not do everything their signature oil change included (fill my tires with air or vacuum the floors). I was pretty disappointed in this service. I used to take 3 vehicles to Jiffy Lube for oil changes (my car, my company vehicle and my wife's car). One winter day after leaving from an oil change, I went to use my windshield washers and the reservoir was empty. I returned to Jiffy Lube. They filled the washer fluid and stated that it must have been overlooked. Another time, my wife brought her Honda Civic in for air in a tire that was reading low on the indicator light on the dash. The manager on duty at the time gave her a hard time, stating that "they would not be responsible if the tire blew out because it was too cold". She then went to Firestone Tires on 159th and they gladly checked and filled her tires (she had never been to Firestone before) at no charge. These are services that Jiffy Lube claims to offer to their customers, but they do not fulfill their promises. It looks as though Firestone will be getting my business from now on. read more

I came in with grinding breaks and knew they needed to be fixed, but for now, I just needed an oil change. The staff was really nice and helpful. I asked for a quote on the breaks, and it was a lot less than I was quoted at other places. I came back the next day and they took me right away, and I only had to wait an hour. I started going to Jiffy Lube once Fuller's screwed up the hood on my Lincoln Navigator. Not going to go into that. My first experience at Jiffy Lube was wonderful. I loved it. Second time not so much. I take my 2011 RS Camaro there. Recently I just got an oil change and my fuel injectors cleaned for about $178. It's not the price I'm complaining about or the oil change. Today I was driving my car because my younger brother is going off to the army. Well my car started telling me that my car was overheating. It was never overheated or had any problems. It has never had leaks or anything. Well Jiffy Lube was right by his recruiting office where my family went to drop him off. I called immediately once the light went on. I ended up taking my car in and it turns out there wasn't enough coolant in it. I can't remember the gentleman's name I believe it might've been Arci, but he had to of put at least 2 quarts or more of coolant in my engine. I was cringing. The girl Sarah who worked the upper bay on my car last time was there working on other cars. She didn't even bother coming over or acknowledging that there was clearly a problem. My service checklist on my receipt states that my coolant level was okay. When clearly it wasn't. I'm just looking for an apology here honestly. I will never return to Jiffy Lube ever in my entire life. I would rather go to a Chevy dealer and fork over more money because I know the job would be getting done right. I hope Jiffy Lube finds solutions instead of creating more problems. I have never gone on Yelp until now. I hope people start caring about their jobs and other peoples cars. I'm only 22 years old, but I work hard for what I own. Sarah clearly didn't care about my car either because she left smudges on the side of the hood.
