I had a check oil light come on I hadn't had my car so I drove straight there only to find out my daughter took my car for an oil change the day (1)before at the Arlington Hts location Cash was paid, receipt given and NO OIL CHANGE DONE! My light was on because AH never changed it! The guys at the Palatine location did everything THEY should have done and took a $120 hit because The Dundee location did not make me pay again Shame on Arlington Hts ! I highly recommend Robert and his team. ***** at this Jiffy Lube location. Outstanding and thorough work / service. Incredibly impressed with the time Robert took to explain and review the oil change work. He shared that all lights were checked. Fluids amounts that were slightly low were topped off. He additionally showed me that my air filter did not need to be replaced and that my tire air pressure perfect and did not need to be adjusted. Stop in to get my oil changed, pull my Van in and I as asked if I'd been here before. I said no first time. The kid said $79 dollars for and oil change and I said ok then he said I have to charge you for and extra quart of oil your van takes 5 quarts and I said ok. Than another guy walks by and said this van takes 6 quarts. And the price of and oil change is reaching 100 bucks. I told him my Van doesn't take 6 quarts. I was the only one in the place, and the oil change took about 30 minutes. I've been to places where, with a line, it was 15 minutes. I'd give a 0 but I need to at least give a 1 to write a review. On 7/7 I went into this location for a standard oil change, not even 9 hours later I find myself stranded in the middle of I90 looking for a tow to take me back to Palatine. Come to find out that Jiffy Lube didn't put my oil filter back on correctly and all of the oil had leaked out of my car causing the engine to lock up and the oil to be sucked into my exhaust system. This has cost me just under 10k in car repairs and almost 3 weeks without a vehicle. After nearly 3 weeks of trying to be understanding, my patience is wearing thin. There have been repetitive visits back to this location, in addition to reaching out to corporate all in hopes to find a civil solution to their errors. So far, there has been nothing except for an extremely low settlement offer which didn't even cover the costs of half the car repairs, multiple dismissive encounters with Jiffy Lube staff, and being continuously lead to believe that things are in motion and a resolution is coming, when in fact there are no responses or followthrough. read more

Recently went for an oil change. I told the gentleman who helped me that my car was making some odd noises and I'd like them to take a look. A few minutes later he returned saying my filters needed to be replaced and showed them to me. I agreed. Then about 15 minutes later he told me my car was done - no word about the noise. And the total was astronomical for being there 30 minutes. Not to mention when I returned the my car, the contents of my glove box were shoved under the passenger seat. My husband and I went to have our oil changed at this location. There was a younger girl who was so rude and unprofessional. Kept walking away from us when we were trying to talk. We then spoke to the older gentleman (maybe manager) who was just as rude. We will never go back there and we are telling everyone about our terrible experience. They only had one bay open and we were the only customers there on a Saturday morning! Maybe they should be a little more friendly and professional or they wont be around much longer. There is a SpeeDee oil right across the street where I am sure people are treated much better. read more

Went here today for an oil change. My oil seems to have been changed properly and the service guy (Vic) was friendly, but that's about all I can say. First of all, it took well over an hour to get an oil change on a Monday morning. I'd understand the wait if it was on a weekend or at 5 PM when everyone gets off of work, but at 9:15 on a Monday? I guess they can't control how many people come in, but they seemed to only be working on two cars at a time despite having three bays. Also, I was told that my license plate light was out. Since those are a huge pain to change on my car, I paid them to do it. I suppose that they turned my headlights on to check and make sure the bulb worked, but then they didn't turn them off (I have a car that doesn't have DRL or any sort of fancy auto-detect settings that newer cars have). I stopped off at my mom's house after getting the oil change, and when I went to leave a couple of hours later - SURPRISE! Dead battery! I carry a portable jumper, so it was an easy fix, but it would have been a bigger annoyance if I didn't have one of those...plus I had to re-do all the presets on my radio, and we all know how much that sucks. I suppose MAYBE I should have noticed that my lights were on, but who looks for that on a sunny Monday morning? read more

Subaru 04 for oil change. Prices were not posted anywhere and I was dumb enough not to ask before getting service. I assumed since all other shops around them where charging $25-$30 for an oil change, this establishment would be along those lines. Not the case. They charge $45 for a regular oil change. At the very most, I thought the signature service was going to be $35 regular price then down to $25 with the $10 off they were advertising. Nope. Nope. Nope. They took about 30 minutes for changing the oil with no other cars before or after me. This type of service normally takes 20 minutes. They didn't acknowledge my presence much. In fact, they kept talking as if I wasn't there. You figured at this point, I won't be coming back here nor I want you to fall for the same gimmick. Go to NTB or Duke's Oil next door. read more

I am not a happy customer, especially with this location. First, yes it was a fast service I applaud them on that. But yes the selling gets annoying. I usually don't go to this location but it was on the way to work... I got an oil change from them on sept 9th. Today is September 29th. Now can anyone tell me in 20 days how did I run out of oil in my car? If i had a leak wouldn't it be common sense to check to see if i had a leak? Well that's not the case because i DON'T have a leak..i don't know what the service people did to my car, but before this oil change my car was running fine! At another jiffy lube location i paid the most for an oil change was $60 thats including new wiper blades. At this location i spent $140 and that's with a discount!! MAYBE I'm a dumb female and they got me by charging for something i didn't know i needed....who knows! Great, fast service at this jiffy lube. I came in expecting a hard upsell and recommendations for services that I didn't need. Instead I got a quick service with no upselling and a pleasant clerk. I docked the star just because of the price. I guess there is an upcharge for a place like jiffy lube were it is quick service. It's $89 for almost 5 quarts of full synthetic, more expensive than the dealer. But, I guess you pay a premium for being open on Sunday and being so quick. Also, a waiting room isn't the warmest place to hang out in regards to decor, but you're there only a short time so I guess it's okay! read more

I know when I go to a Jiffy Lube, I'm going to get a ton of selling on services I don't need or should do somewhere else, but the manager at the location here was trying to sell me on things I didn't need. like wipers, which I replaced 2 weeks ago and he said I needed new ones... did you even look at the wipers? he also didn't seem to really care about my business after I told him I wanted the value oil change. other Jiffy Lubes I've been to have at least been very courteous when trying to sell me services I didn't need. these places are a dime a dozen so I'll be going somewhere else for my oil changes. read more

STAY AWAY FROM THIS LOCATION! The individuals who work there damaged my car and refused to accept responsibility for the damage. They scratched the bumper on my driver's side and they messed up the fender on my driver's side so bad that the door would no longer close on that side. My door and bumper and fender were fine when they pulled the vehicle into their shop (yes, THEY PULLED IT INTO THE SHOP AND IT WAS FINE!) and yet, when it came time to pull the vehicle out of their shop, they refused to do so and told me that I had to drive my vehicle out of their shop because, "there was an issue with the door." When I mentioned to the woman working there that there was nothing wrong with the door when they pulled it into their shop, her response was, "There is no way we possibly could have done this!" I went to an auto body shop and they told me it is going to cost me $1200 to $1500 to fix the damage they caused. If I could give this shop 0 stars, I would. I will never visit this or any other Jiffy Lube location again, and I had been coming to Jiffy Lube locations for over 20 years. Regardless, if you want your car damaged, then go to this location. I came here for an oil change and a tire rotation and waited over an hour. They told me that they couldn't rotate my tires because a previous employee stole their equipment and it would take too long. Seriously. I drove to Northbrook and could not clean my wind shield because there was NO fluid in there. They had not replaced it. There was also no sticker to tell me when to change my oil again. THey sold me a filter (I hope I needed it) and supposedly changed the oil. STAY AWAY!! Shoddy service. Expensive. Not trustworthy. I will drive further and go to a place I can depend on. I would advise all to do the same. This place is terrible. Don't go. I hope they changed my oil. read more
