I went into the shop to have my brakes redone. They told me I needed rear brakes so I replaced the entire rear breaking system. After I left, I noticed the car had a very pronounced shutter when I went to break at high speeds. I went back a few days later they couldn't really get me in, but they told me that it just takes a little while for the breaks to wear in and that that should go away. A couple months later I came back I asked them to take a look. They take the car for maybe 2 to 5 minutes and they come back and tell me there are no problems. And that the front brakes need to be redone because they didn't do those last time. I of course reacted poorly to this because I feel like hey I didn't have an issue at all before I came in here except for a little squeaky brakes and now you're saying that the shuttering has nothing to do with the work that you did.. granted I was pretty frustrated so I'm sure I wasn't the easiest person to deal with, but I just assume if I'm gonna pay someone to fix my car that they're not gonna do more to damage it. I don't mind paying for front brakes . But I don't think the front brakes alone are causing the shutter. It's the rear brakes plus whatever needs to be done to the front that they didn't do before, but literally they wouldn't even diagnose it. The guy who tested it said he drove it up to 40 miles an hour which I told them it was at high speed so they just assumed that I'm lying. I guess I don't know.. but the bottom line is I just need the car to work and if they would've just worked with me a little bit and acted like they cared at all and tried to actually explain it to me instead of cutting me off and just being rude then I would've had a better experience but these guys they don't care about anything except being right. Don't go here you'll regret it. They don't know how to word things and they don't know what services and I wouldn't trust them with my car again. To Jiffy lube response - you had three chances and I noticed you always respond to reviews because they're trying to make it like you're proactive but the way you be proactive is by providing good service and you didn't do that so no, I'm not interested in talking to you, I'm just letting everybody know that you're bad and dishonest. read more

The place is always spotless and as I have posted previously the bathroom is as clean as the one I have at home. Be careful when you ask customers to do a review.......Slow, sloppy, don't do what they are asked to do. High pressure up selling customer after customer. Criminally high mark up on any work done. Too bad. There have been times when the visit was 'okay', but those times are rare. And never 'good or great'. Which is what they should strive for. After getting an oil change, driving the car around to run some errands, my husband had to go back to Jiffy Lube literally 2 hours after our oil change because when we checked the dip stick, the oil was low. They never topped off the oil in my car after the oil change. When we went back we verbally communicated that we were just here for an oil change, and they were trying to charge us for a 2nd oil change. Finally someone recognized that my husband was just in, and showed the mechanic our receipt and he finally topped off our oil. Super inconvenient to our day because we had to pick up our daughter from school which was 45mins away from the shop. What we thought would be a quick service turned into us having to drive back and forth to and from Jiffy Lube just to get our oil topped off, which should have been done during the service. read more

I have given this location positive review before but not this time. Went in for an oil change and check engine light diagnosis. I got the oil changed. They said the check engine light was bc all four cylinders were missing and it would cost around $500 for a tune up for coils and plugs. 10 minutes later after discussing w my husband on the phone the price was higher. I got a bad feeling so I didn't do the tune up. If all 4 cylinders were missing the car would have been running horribly but it wasn't. Two days later, I noticed oil on my driveway. I took it to the dealership and was informed that when the oil change was done the car wasn't put together right, it was missing a washer causing my oil to leak all over my driveway. And there were two missing cylinders not four. I got another oil change and tune up. Cost me $300. I can never go back to this place even tho it was so conveniently located. read more

Brought in my car for an oil change and to replace my cabin filter. Oscar recommended a tire rotation. I asked him to let me know what the cost is of everything before we proceed and I told him that I had $26 coupon for the oil change. He called me up to the counter with a bill & told me he applied a $15 coupon because they can't honor the $26 coupon. And, somehow forgot to tell me the cost of everything before they proceeded. Overall a positive experience, gone are the days of the pushy upsell and if it's just an oil change you want this is a good option. It's usually done fairly quickly and the service is friendly. Also a quick online search will usually save you about $10, just search Jiffy Lube coupons and download the code. I wouldn't get some of the extras though because the prices are a lot higher than if you just did it yourself. Cabin air filter for example will only take you about 5 minutes to change yourself and prices here are 4x higher than buying it at one of the big auto parts stores (for this specific item). As far as anything but just a simple oil change, I'd take your car to a certified mechanic that has actually gone through school to be a mechanic and not here (because here it is on the job training). read more

Don't go there for oil change you will end up driving with out antifreeze in your car because the employees are too busy to go over the check list. No wonder why the oil change is quick in this location. I was charged $85 dollars for regular oil change and filter change but no one ever checked my coolant level and it's was way under the line. My car end up stopping on the middle of the street do to negligence of this Jiffy Lube location. The employees are a cut above others I've been to polite respectful and competent. Been there a few times for oil changes, all was well until my last visit for an oil change they did a horrible job. After a few days I noticed oil on my driveway and workplace then my oil low light comes on. They did not turn the filter tight enough. They could have completely damaged the engine if I did not catch it when I did. So I took it back and get it redone and all they can say I'm sorry. Not going back there again. I went in for an oil change and upon inspection I was told that my air filter needed to be replaced. They showed me an extremely dirty air filter and claimed that was my air filter. I asked them how much and I believe they said around $55. I said no thanks, I'll change my own. So, I went to o'rielleys and got a filter. Here's the kicker, when I went to change my filter, the paper part on my old filter was yellow and had an orange guard. The one they showed me at Jiffy Lube that was "my" filter had white paper and a black guard. Also, the one I had already had in my car didn't even need to be changed. They are scammers. They are showing you "your" dirty air filter to try and get you to buy one. They are showing you a fake one that isn't yours. They are using unfair business practices and violating the law. Everytime I have come to this location I have had a poor experience. However today tops the cake as to why I will never go back to Jiffy Lube EVER. Came into this Jiffy Lube for a tire repair. We thought the tire was loosing air but after Jiffy Lube inspected the tire they realized it was the sencer not the tire. They washed the windows, checked all our fluids, every employee we had a interaction with was polite & professional. They even opened the door to the van to let me get back in and say Have a nice day and be careful out there. Not only did they do all this and get me out of there in 18 minutes, they did not charge me since the tire was fine & referred me to a tire shop that could fix the sencer. GREAT JOB . Took my work vehicle in for service, I informed them of the issues at hand ... oil change , brake light. Apparently 1 out of 2 is okay for them, I was pulled over for a brake light being out shortly after I left this place after the attendant stated he confirmed they replaced the light. This is completely unacceptable, while I know they offer free services as vacuum and clean the windows.... guess they failed at that too! They took off my entire front oil guard on my brand new 2017 civic hatchback ex. When they went to reattach it post oil change, they did it so inadequately and incompetently that as I drove within 72 hours it fell off and nearly caused me to crash. The jiffy lube in park ridge impresses again. I had questioned a brake job since everybody is suffering labor shortages and after effects of the covid pandemic. Brought my receipt in, and the manager was out but rich and pedro came to pull my brakes off removed a pebble and reinstalled the new pads for free, within minutes. Prices are average but they usually take my coupon and these cats always get the job done, firestone never fits me in nor does the link on their website work for a quote. This is just like any other Jiffy Lube. Ironically enough the best time to go here is right after work, between 5:00 and 6:00pm. Sometimes they do try a little too hard to upsell products and services (replace filters, do additional maintenance, etc.). A big plus for this place is they offer free wifi. There aren't enough stars in the universe to give to the team at this Park Ridge Jiffy Lube! I have been a loyal customer for years and continue to take my SUV there whenever it is need of an oil change. Now I like to think that I'm a smart, savvy woman and in most other aspects of my life, don't allow myself to be taken advantage of. However, I HATE (I'm using the word 'hate' here) dealing with my car! Typically I feel raked over the coals when the mechanic insists that I need a new 'Johnson rod' or some other item/service that will cost me more than next month's mortgage payment. Not so at this Jiffy Lube! Linda runs an extremely 'customer service friendly' shop and I am always treated with respect, never pressured to buy products or services if I don't want to and they will install smaller parts at no charge if I bring them in. During my most recent oil change, Linda told me to buy two flood lights somewhere else ("That will save you some money") and come back where they will install them at no cost. Fast forward to today when I rolled in during their busiest time and was greeted with a "No problem, I'll do it right now," from Anthony. Sure enough, Anthony crawled under the front of my truck and put in the new lights in in about five minutes. When I insisted that he take a few bucks for his time, he insisted that it wasn't necessary. What kid (I have no idea how old Anthony is but I'm probably old enough to be his mother) doesn't want a ten spot? He could not have been nicer saying that it was not problem and that he was happy that he could do it right then instead of having me wait an hour. So thank you Anthony for being so kind and restoring my faith in humanity today.
