Quick service. Greeted by man in a beard. I asked for an oil change, and once they looked he said I didn't need one because the oil looked good. He showed me automatic steering fluid as being very dark so I did replace that. Again, quick service. The reason I'm pretty pissed, is because they told me I had a minor leak in the oil pan. So, I went to mikes repair in Roger's park, he said NO LEAK. He wasted his time looking at my car and said "nothing will go wrong with the car even in the next year" after looking at everything. So next time, make sure you know what's what before you waste everyone time fixing a car that doesn't need fixing. Wasted three hours of my day. read more

I went in for a routine oil change. As always, they check your engine filter and cabin filter. Mine were fine and didn't need replacing. I wasn't more than a mile away from Jiffy Lube and my check engine light came on. When I got home I looked under the hood and 2 of the 4 tabs for the engine filter cover were not properly engaged. I fixed it, but the check engine light stayed on for some time. Then about a week after the oil change I opened the glove box only to have it fall down as they also did not properly install that after checking the cabin filter. I won't be going back to this location. read more

I went here for an oil change and also because I had a air pressure alert on my dashboard on 9/29/23. The cashier Alexander S, was extremely rude for this entire visit. There was a young lady he was interacting with before me who he was attentive to, and explained things to her, asked her for her preferences. That's my typical experience at Jiffy Lube, however this time, when it was my turn for consultation Alexander did not make any eye contact or even face me to indicate he was talking to me. It was only because I heard him mumble my car model and I stood up to inquire if he was talking to me. He didn't respond and threw my two car filters on the counter and said "You want to replace these?" I opted to choose one of them. He snatched them back, didn't ask me what oil I wanted, didn't update me on the status of my car, nothing. When it was time, I paid him when I saw my keys on the counter and started towards the door. Then I remembered I had also come due to my tire pressure light on the dash. I doubled back to ask Alexander if the alert had gone away after they filled my tires. He responded quickly (with no eye contact if course) "Yea we filled the tires, it's still on. If it doesn't go off after you drive for a bit then you have a bad sensor." Immediately I knew that was b.s. Sure enough, when I took my car to my guy's house, he filled my front driver side tire and the alert on the dash went away. So rude and lied about what they did! I'm happy with my first-time experience going to Jiffy Lube. I had did my research beforehand, and there was so many articles saying how Jiffy Lube rips you off, do bad service, etc. so I was a little scared. This particular location had good reviews and it was the closest to my house. Once I got there, all the men working greeted me "good morning" which was nice. I got there Saturday morning at 8:10am and left at 9am. I thought I was going to be first but there was like 5 other people in the waiting room already. I came to get my oil changed and to have my fluIds inspected cause I had just been in a small accident earlier in the week. The man at the desk goes through the run-down of the car pretty fast, but he was super nice. They show you your air filters in person and ask if you want them changed so I did cause mine were full. And I really liked that they washed my windows cause they were so dirty! read more

Jiffy people will either love it of hate it. Never met people who thinks it is ok. Pro. This place is actually open on a Saturday which makes it much more convenient, then most car mechanics. And surprisingly not busy. Pretty confident that they won't take long and it is first come first serve. They are really fast in terms of speed. Unless you are here for a serious issue you're leaving within an hour or 30 minutes. Con. Price higher then a personal mechanics you would be friends or close too. There is also an "upsell" to update your parts and maintenance on your car. So you want to make sure you know what your car need. It would be fine but since each part is higher than average. It can add up. They can shave 10 or 20 bucks base on they feel. So it is worth asking. But the immediate full tune means you should check your car making sure what needs to be repair vs could be. read more

I paid $225 for an oil change and to have a new tire put on yesterday, September 28th, 2023. I took an hour and 20 minutes. I asked when I was checking out if they filled the washer fluid, because it was low. He said, Yep! Was it vacuumed? He said, yes! They didn't vacuum it, I had to pull back around. As soon as I got on the expressway, the check washer fluid came on. I've called numerous times since my light came on yesterday and they don't answer their phone. Now, after the shoddy work that they did, who know's what else they didn't do on top of it II'm going to have drive over there again ave them fill the washer fluid, check the other fluids and check the tire. For $225 and numerous Jiffy Lube's around, you'd think this one would do their best. read more

Then this is where the visit takes a left a guy walks in calling for a Toyota and I didn't response because I was driving a Kia - He then is like oh yeah the white Kia - then he proceeded to Talk really fast to upsell on everything and then rolled his eyes when I was like nope just the oil change, air filter and coolant - then here is where the visit went to utter left - They gave my keys to another customer and lucky they said something. Today, Dec. 16, I had to take my car to Toyota because of engine issues. Turns out, Jiffy Lube did not change my oil AT ALL, but this Jiffy Lube sure charged me for an oil change they never performed. If you want honesty and integrity from the people performing service on your vehicle, do not go to this Jiffy Lube because you won't get it. Spend your money elsewhere. read more

A few minutes later, I spotted Jiffy on Touhy and knowing I am tire ignorant, thought to pull through. When I got there, without any delay a young man named Henry came over and asked what I needed. I have come here a few times now. If you only plan on getting an oil change and time is an issue then come here. It will be done quick. You will pay a bit more but look at it as your money going towards being a quick visit. After they check your car they will most likely recommend several things for you that probably isn't necessary. If you ask questions the response will be it's manufacture recommendation which prob is true but not really needed. I'd just get a second and maybe third opinion from a car shop not tied to Corp. Prices are equal to dealerships, they are just faster. read more

I used to like going here because of the friendly service and no hassle checkout. Now, I will never come back here! I came in here for an oil change and they told me they needed to fix the shock absorber. After spending $1,000 for an oil change, labor and parts I noticed my wheel alignment wasn't in place/off center. After all that, they tell me they don't do alignments! First off, struts and shock absorbers are similar but not the same thing. Second they fixed my front struts, so this usually means check the alignment. Solid 3.5 star rating. Not close to what I'd rated back in 2010; of 5 stars. In a shop like Jiffy Lube, mechanics come and go. Service styles will change. And although the head site manager is a responsible guy that "gets it", their employees (of the moment) may not. I have many easy car tasks completed by Jiffy Lube. For some time now, I tend to drive cars that require synthetic oil changes. These can be expensive, so, it's good to shop around when not covered by an extended warranty. (When purchasing a new or certified pre-owned, I always advise folks to purchase extended warranties from the dealer. Because nowadays many of them cover synthetic oil changes and some minor repairs like brake pads. A regular oil change to synthetic is a difference of about $30 - $40 dollars) These can be costly if done at the dealership but at least you're given piece of mind that certain "points" are always followed. Of course, not all dealerships operate the same and it's prudent to check reviews! Back to defining points; for instance, when a repair shop details what they check / inspect for when repairing your vehicle. Jiffy Lube claims they complete these as well. With their oil changes it is claimed that "all fluids are topped." A service manager will often mention this. If needing specific specialty fluids, they may add-on additional costs. Here is their service guarantee: "Jiffy Lube Signature Service® Oil Change. ... Whether your vehicle needs conventional, high mileage, synthetic blend or full synthetic oil, the Jiffy Lube Signature Service® Oil Change is comprehensive preventive maintenance to check, change, inspect, flush, fill and clean essential systems and components of your vehicle." - More than once in the last 12 months this has not been the case. Most recently, while checking fluids under the hood, I realized many fluids were low. We're talking dire levels and with possibility of damage to the engine. It was good reminder for me, that I need to follow-up and inspect what is being done and whether completed accurately. - On a recent visit, I'd requested they change out a few indicator bulbs which were "out" / no longer working. I pointed them out and asked for an synthetic oil change as well. Can you believe, I had to return a week later because they did not follow my request to change specific bulbs. Instead they asserted, they changed what was deemed necessary. I think, they half-assed. It can become a pain, time allotted the first time round must now be repeated because they didn't care to listen. Note: headlights, tail lights and indicators being out give reason for law enforcement to stop and ticket you. Costs of time, patience and funds spent to attend court.. for a $10 light bulb that you asked to be replaced. Do the above stop me from visiting Jiffy Lube locations? No.. Just like at a fast food restaurant, it depends on whose running the shop at the time. When needing something repaired quickly, there is no garage anywhere that is faster at getting down to your needs. They may try to convince you of other services you should get.. but stand your ground and make sure what you've requested is what you've received. (For some motorists, I think the light suggestions are warranted. Not everyone is thorough with their car's needs) read more

Been coming here for years, to get oil changes. Took in the car to get a transmission fluid service, and had a coupon for 25% off. Dude at check out goes, "Uh, you can't print those out, you gotta have the actual coupon" This offer was emailed, so what that means I am not sure. Before I could even start arguing with him, the manager stepped in and honored the coupon. So manager saved the day. In general, they are more expensive then other oil changes places, but they are also a lot faster. You can usually get an online coupon to knock off around 5 to 8 dollars depending on the offer of the month. read more

Recently had my oil changed here and happened to stumble upon it because the 3 places I went to before it were incredibly busy on a Saturday early afternoon. The staff here were incredibly welcoming, communicative, and opened up my car door for me when I was leaving! They even vacuumed the inside of my car as well. Great service in a quick time frame! I came back to give them another start bc i forgot: free brake inspection! Viz the rest of the review, I'm a tad skeptical of the depth and validity of said check, but I appreciate the service. It UPS my rating. Fast-ish service but I took off a star for 3 reasons having to do with details that I ad the customer, should not be responsible for: 1) if this is vacuuming the interior, why are there leaves under the edges of my floor mat & visible crumbs on the back seat? (I've been here an hour and am not going back in to talk about it- I'm sure they'd fix it, but this is not supposed to be fixed) 2) I actually called ahead to confirm I could use a coupon from a different location & was told yes I could, but them had to really stick to my guns about getting honored. I agree with what another review says: I wouldn't mind returning to this location if I was really alert that day. IDK why you have to be on your A-game to get a freakin' oil change, but you do. I visited this location a while back for an oil change. The customer service rep informed me that I needed something minor like a license plate light replaced (I realized it was dumb that I never asked him to show me, as the license plate light on a 1yr old car probably hadn't burned out that quickly, but...whatever). My total was something out-rageous like $92! I remember saying "But, why?" without being able to articulate what I meant which was "What exactly am I being charged for that isn't on this board-o-prices over here on the wall?" I believe I was charged separately for the oil (synthetic), filter, disposal of oil, the lightbulb, and something extra on top of the taxes. If that's standard, it's unfortunate. The customer service rep was nice enough, but the pricing is icky. The wait was really decent. Alas, I'd rather wait an extra 20 mins rather than pay an extra $20 any day. read more

Lighting service. Clean shop. Free coffee. Mellow on the up-selling. Not much more to say. I'm glad I gave them a try. I got the whole fancy package, where they even vacuum my car. (Which NEEDED it.) I was very happy with the end result. I should mention that they asked me if I wanted to have the reverse-lights changed, since they were burned out. I said "sure". Turns out there was a short or something in my wiring, and the new bulbs didn't work, so there was no charge. They suggested I have it checked next time I was at the mechanic. I appreciated the honesty. I mean, I'd never notice till the next time I tried to back up in a parking garage or at night, yanno? They could totally have ripped me off, but chose not to. He is very professional and friendly. He handles the customers well and I'm always pleased with his service. I'd definitely recommend people coming to this location. I have found this Jiffy Lube location professional, helpful, and efficient. I have been returning here for nearly a decade. Are they perfect? No, but they have to date been trustworthy, which is why I've been loyal to this specific garage for nearly 10 years! They get 4.5 stars. Although many of the crew have left over the years, they also tend to stick around for years too, which I appreciate. This is because they get to know you and your vehicle! Sometimes shockingly good. I've been impressed. They remember what your vehicle needs. Clearly this is not a full service garage, they don't do repairs, but they will talk with you about other issues, and give you informative advice, if you just ask. Talk with them. In addition, they have always honored coupons I've found on my phone, saving me a few bucks. Who doesn't appreciate this? (Who also hasn't forgot those discount cards they mail?) The only thing I dislike, as a whole, and I don't blame the crew for this, is their Corporate policy to always "recommend" up-sales and extra services, many of which are actually unnecessary for the miles/age of your vehicle (new vehicles often require less frequency). You can also easily do many things yourself for free (e.g., replacing air filters, windshield wipers, light bulbs), which many people don't realize are usually easier than making a pot of coffee! Who can't do that? Do your homework before agreeing! Just tell them, "On this visit, no thanks. I'll wait on that one for now." Ive been coming here for over ten years. But I have decided to take my business elsewhere. I was at this location last week and had to replace my worn brake pads. They said they didn't have them and thus had to order them. I was fine with waiting. The big surprise was when they wanted to charge me the full amount of about $300, before they even did any work on my car. I told one of the employees that I prefer to pay after the pads have been replaced. Then all of a sudden the owner comes in and start giving me atittude stating he had been 'burned' by other customers before, who made him order things for their cars and then never showed up. I can understand this, but his tone was plain disrespectful. I didn't even got a chance to response to his reply and he just walks away from me. I have been going to this location for over 6 years and never had a experience like today. I only brought my cars to have the oil changed or light maintenance. After today they have lost my business. I drove in and everything was as normal as could be during these times. I asked the guys inside twice to make sure since they are rotating the Tires His name was Robert Z. As i was sitting there a young lady who was also waiting was told her Bill would be $129. she was shocked and said the guy out side said it would be like $20. The tech came in who I would find out later is Named Danny Dickey said no lady I told you $120. She seemed upset but paid and I assumed it was a simple misunderstanding. When I got up to pay Robert walked through the charges again and I asked him for the Third Time what about the Breaks. He suddenly was like "Umm yeah I think they are good." I informed him the last Time I had my Tires Rotated about 6,000 miles ago they said I would probably need new breaks and showed me with a multicolored tool that they were on yellow and about to go to red. So are you sure they checked? hey yelled over to a tech "Hey how did the breaks on that Prius look?" The guy look dumbfounded and shrugged and yelled over to Danny the Same Question and he replied "Good?" I said well I guess we didn't check and I will just have it done by my local mechanic and you guys just cost your self $300. I was still fine up to this point. I paid got in my car started it and I noticed a Check engine light was on, this was not on when i drove in. I turned it off and turned it back on and the light was still on. So I hopped out of my Car and Danny the tech who had worked on my car was standing there and informed him of this problem. He got out the dignostic tool for the computer and told me it said it was something with the throttle. He popped the hood and started taking out the cabin filter that they had taken out to ask if I needed a new one. I asked why he was doing that and he said the throttle was under it and started pushing wires and connections together around it. He then said well you might want to get that checked but the light is off now. I asked did you accidently loosen a connection or something and just fix it. He replied "AHHH no that can't happen I couldn't do anything like that." I then informed him I know he didn't check the breaks and that was not a big deal because I'll just pay someone else to do it but he needs to be straight with me on this because this is a big deal and if it was a mistake he should just come clean and tell me if he just fixed it. He informed me there was no way he could break my Car. I then told him what I thought he was full of and the only way I was ever coming back is with a attorney if my car is broken because of him. I believe everyone makes mistakes but if you lie to me then I can't give you my business. I'm sorry to say as long as this is how their team is operating I will have to move on. read more

So I asked about a drain and fill and they said they it would be $99. I decided to wait and then I noticed the sign inside that said the price for the auto trans. drain and fill was $54.99 (actually this was changed with a sharpie to $69.99...still different from what I was told!).
