We have been going to Cassidy Tire and Service for years. We have always received great service at a fair price. But this past Saturday, Kevin (Mgr) and his team went above and beyond! I had picked up a nail one of my tires on my Tesla Model 3. Tesla's do not have spare tires and it was important that I get this tire repaired same day. I called and Kevin was very accommodating saying that they could get to it same day. When repairing the tire, his team noticed that my axel bolt had become dislodged. This is a known Tesla issue and a serious one. Kevin looked at the Tesla online forums and made sure I understood the situation. His team torqued the bolt back on to spec, but Telsa strongly recommends replacing that bolt. I was then able to get into a Tesla Service Center later that day to complete the repair. A wonderful secret to get a new tire before It goes flat. Turns out the tire was 8 y/o and news one was needed. Everyone is wonderful and I felt I could trust them to not rip me off. I asked for a battery check while checking on my low tire..and came back that battery was ok. But maybe an alternator was needed if other issues we draining the battery. When I came back to get my tire I asked them to remove a charger I had in my car interior and turns out this might have been the culprit draining the battery. So all in, a new tire installed $100 at the beginning of cold stretch. read more

I used to go here all the time AND recommend these guys to everyone; however, after my last visit, I don't know if that will continue! I went in there the day after we had a 9 inch snowfall. All I needed was some air in 1 tire. I asked the gentlemen that asked if he could help me if there was someone who could quickly air up the one tire showing it was low on my dashboard warning. HE TOLD ME IT WOULD BE AT LEAST AN HOUR BEFORE SOMEONE COULD TAKE CARE OF THAT!!! ARE YOU FREAKING KIDDING ME?? AN HOUR TO PUT 3LBS. OF AIR IN 1 TIRE??? These guys have always been very fair whenever something happens to my tires and I'm in the area. I really should just make it my "go-to" place for tires indefinitely. Kevin their rep was super friendly and helpful. Work was done relatively quickly and they were honest and affordable. Didn't try to upsell on things I didn't need but went over a few suggestions for precautionary measures. They patched up my tire for 40.00. I know some people have said you can go elsewhere for free but with it being just down the block from my work location, it was very convenient and glad they didn't try to pull one over my head for being a woman handling car sh** by myself in a nick of time. Had my 2005 Ford Excursion 4X4 alinement two years ago and 20,000 thousand miles later the tires still look great no feathering on the thread or cupping. Rides well for an 18 year old vehicle. Turns out it didn't puncture the tire but if it had, I would have needed a new one as it was in the sidewall.. I had done some moderate research on the tires offered and knew what I wanted. Kevin managed to upsell me slightly, but it was not at all pushy; rather it was helpful and informative. He took a couple of minutes to explain the pros and cons of each choice. They quoted an hour to an hour and a half, but were done in about 45 minutes. Went to this location on a recommendation from my Father-In-Law. All I was looking for was a new set of tires. The gentleman at the front desk took my car and told me it would be ready within the hour. Thirty minutes later I received a call that I was in need of new brakes and rotors, I was quoted an astronomical $1,800 for the job. My brakes and rotors were still under warranty from the dealership so I told him just the tires please. I was then up charged for a new set that I didn't ask for because "the ones I had clicked online were not available". When I came to pick up the car because I had earlier mentioned to the Front Desk attendant that this was my wife's car he told me "I would never put my wife at risk letting her drive a car in that condition". When I left I made an appointment at the dealership where I bought the car and after a full inspection they told me I still had close to 50,000 miles at least until I would need new brakes and rotors. It wasn't so much that there was an attempt to take advantage of me it was more so the statement regarding my wife. In my opinion that is a very low brow way to engage with customers and only plays into the stereotype of mechanics being dishonest. Very upset to not be able to take my business someplace so recommended and I will be sure to tell everyone I can to avoid this location. read more

I knew it was a bad day when I had not 1 but 2 nails in my tire. My tires are 5 years old. Despite the low mileage I expected the absolute worst and prepared to be told I need to get all new tires. I braced myself for their response and it was not what I expected ...,they patched my tire within 30 minutes, were incredibly kind and made a suggestion to get 2 new tires before winter. Thank Heavens for this facility. I spent $1,100 down the street at a competitor (Just Tires/Goodyear) in Morton Grove. Cooper Tires renewed my faith. The Manager took 30 minutes of his time to correct the the negligent, poor service of Just Tires. He refuse compensation. At Goodyear, I was treated horribly once they had my $. PLEASE save money, insult, poor quality and service and GO DIRECTLY to COOPER TIRES. BTW, I have filed a consumer fraud action against the Morton Grove Just Tires/Goodyear facility. Thinking it was a fluke, the Manager at JT a chance to explain. He reacted aggressively and shouted that his mother-in-law was Goodyear and he didn't give a damn. This was lol funny. I'm very disappointed in the service I received. My husband brought the car in because he believed there was a slow leak on the tire and he was having to make an emergency trip out of state to see his Dad. I made the appointment for Monday morning before he was leaving. They seemed to want to blame it on the weather change and we thought of that too but the one tire was still losing more air than the others. My husband was having to add air every few days. He went in, they did remove and inspect the tire and said they didn't find anything. Luckily, he made the trip without incident but the tire was still the only one losing air. WOW this place is excellent, very professional and I am more than pleased with the way I was treated and the service I was provided. 5 stars is not enough Having lived in numerous Chicago areas for the last 20 years, I have had my fair share of necessary tire repairs. I happened upon this business because of an urgent tire repair due to a nail in my tire. I was expecting the same nonchalant impersonal fix and go, as well as expected to pay higher than usual price and an extra long wait because I showed up without an appointment and that's typically just how all my other experiences went. In the past when having car issues I have usually faced aggravation, condescension and leaving the place gouged and exhausted from the anxiety of being upset as well as wasted 4-5 hours of waiting. Not only that but Covid-19 has literally slowed everything down. From the moment I walked in until the job was complete I was given an explanation of what they could do and what my options were. It was very informative for me and I sure wish this level of service was the norm. I was also expecting to have to wait an extra long time but was shocked and surprised that the job of putting a new tire and rotating the remaining tires for proper safety recommendations was done in literally less than an hour. This place is awesome and I highly recommend it. I will probably make an effort to go here for all my car tire needs and they also perform some maintenance on autos as well. read more
