I would never go back to this location. It took very long to get a simple oil change. I felt like they were recommending a lot of unnecessary things to up-charge me. I got in after they were done and my jockey box was stuck open. I had to get the guy to come move it around until it finally went back in place. Told me I was all set and I drove away. got a phone call some minutes later saying they didn't do my car yet. So I came back and had to wait through it all again. Can see why this location has lower reviews. Have never had issues with an oil change at other jiffy lube locations but this location took well over two hours to do just an oil change on my car. Everyone in the lobby that arrived before me was finished before me and my car had no issues and just had an oil change performed. They also confused my car with another one and told me it was almost done before coming back and saying they got it mixed up and hadn't even started on mine. On May 23rd 2024 I visited Jiffy Lube #968 290 W. 1230 N. Provo, UT 84604. I have been a loyal Jiffy Lube Customer through eight cars... A good number of years. May 23rd 2024 was the first time I had ever visited this location though. It went without incident... Or so I thought. After I left the Jiffy Lube I noticed that my car was leaking oil from the cap-opening. I went back in the same day to have them address that, which they claimed to do. After leaving the dealership I came home. The next day I was running errands and after hopping on the freeway my car began to smoke and sizzle. I thought for certain something horribly expensive was wrong with my car... NOPE! I looked under the hood and The Jiffy Lube #968 at 290 W. 1230 N. Provo, UT 84604 had forgotten to replace the oil cap. Something they missed when I brought my car in the second time relating to the oil leak. Because of their incompetence oil had splashed all over my engine. I'm talking the entirety of the engine was covered with oil. I took it in and the someone with an interesting name, and the title of "Assistant Manager" said he'd take care of it. I was so flustered having this been the 2nd time I'd had to return with an issue that I didn't notice the assistant manager immediately started spraying down my engine while it was still at it's hottest. He finished up, apologized, and sent me on my way. Now I forget whether it was the next day, or a couple of days after when my car started to smoke and sizzle again! UGH! I thought, furiously I took my car back to the Jiffy Lube #968 at 290 W. 1230 N. Provo, UT 84604. Now I admit I was cussing up a storm, throwing f-bombs left and right, not at any employees mind you, but just in general. The same assistant manager came to my aid to look and pointed out the main water-hose to my radiator HAD BURST! After that the assistant manager immediately began saying, "Oh that's not us!" "We didn't do that!" "We wouldn't do that!" Etc., etc. My response was something like "Are you F&$#ing kidding me?" "You spayed cold water onto a hot car engine!" The actual manager came over and after similar words and more cussing from me he asked me to leave. I did. Now. The cost to repair my car was around $150.00. I have since contacted the Jiffy Lube customer support four different times, explaining the situation to them each time. Evidently this is an issue to be taken up by and with the Jiffy Lube #968 at 290 W. 1230 N. Provo, UT franchise owner, who has continued to ignore every attempt I have made to contact them. I have contacted the customer support four different times and I have heard nothing back from anyone. Not an email, not a text, NOT A PEEP! So that goes to show you just how much the Jiffy Lube #968 at 290 W. 1230 N. Provo, UT cares about its customers and the mistakes they make that ruin or brake customers vehicles. I also have to ask what does this say about Jiffy Lube as a whole? If the main company doesn't care about its customers than why would any of their franchise owners? I'd suggest anyone and everyone avoid the Jiffy Lube #968 at 290 W. 1230 N. Provo, UT. They do not care about the mistakes they make, or their customers. Avoid this location at all costs! Literally every time I come here they are: FAST NICE EXPLAIN EVERYTHING DO TRY TO SELL ME ANYTHING I DONT NEED The employees at this location only have your best interest in mind. They have helped me with oil changes, tire rotations, and even my Utah emissions test and car registration. I love that they have free refills of oil if you get your oil changes with them. read more

I had an oil change done on the fleet car I drive on 8/26. I didn't make it to Evanston WY before the low oil light came on. I had the fleet company tow it to a Toyota dealer in SLC. At first they thought the engine was shot, but after 4 days they finally determined there was just enough oil left to save the engine from having to be replaced. Jiffy lube paid for the repair (they had cracked the housing the oil filter attaches to) but for me no car=no pay. All in all it cost me personally $600. Oddly enough I never heard a word from them. Pulled up to the multicare garage to have my tire checked for a leak. Was told the maintenance man, Travis (who I watched slip inside with his McDonalds as I pulled up) was on lunch and they could not tell me for how long. I asked if they could please tell him there is a customer waiting? They said "No, he's on salary so he can take as long of a lunch as he wants." Frustrating location. Today I purchased a Groupon for a discounted oil change. Before purchasing I made sure to read the terms and conditions and see what sections the coupon was valid at. It showed the current location was not restricted. So after the oil change occurred I met the service technician to obtain my receipt when I was told I'd have to pay again. He said, "we no longer are accepting coupons." I explained I had purchased it today and that location was not a blacklisted location. I told him I'd pull up the coupon receipt so he could see for himself. He replied, "we won't accept any coupons. We haven't for over a year". I got frustrated at the situation and told him I came in in August for an oil change and used a Jiffy Lube Offer from their website for $15 off. He reemphasized that the Jiffy Lube Groupon i had already purchased wouldn't work there and asked how I'd like to pay for my oil change. My wife and I have used this location every few months for the last two years for our vehicles oil changes. With this experience we will not be using their services anymore! read more

Came here only for an oil change. They pulled the car in and didn't even touch it for 40 minutes. (I could tell because the hood was still down). I finally walked out and asked if they had been working on it and they said no. Finally after an hour they started the oil change. Will not be coming here again or recommending them. GUESS WHAT?!?!? I sit and do nothing while someone else changes my oil for around $40. It's wonderful!! Perfect for a lazy middle class person like me. They do things quickly and for a reasonable price. AND if you get your oil changed their they WILL top off certain fluids for you whenever you want, pretty sweet deal. Always ask for their discounts of the day. I disagree with other people who say, "they don't try to sell you more stuff." they try their hardest to tell you you need more things! but it doesnt bother me because I learned to say NO as a child. Also if you already ask for more things they won't try to sell you more. I am pretty sure they want to at least sell around 100 dollars per visit. That is just a theory though! I came in for an oil change on a Saturday afternoon. There was a line of cars already occupying all bays when I arrived Saturday morning. This is to be expected. But the wait was not too long. The workers are not very friendly -- all business -- but they worked efficiently. I stayed in my car to see the work and hear the conversation. They worked hard and despite work load complaints among workers they did work well together. There was continued hard discussion between management and employees. They were honest in their opinion of the filters (whether recommending a new filter or not). There seemed to be some challenge with the oil filter -- requiring more time than normal. They did a quality control (double check). Did give me a new sticker (expected -- but missed in the past). I had to ask about the tire pressure. read more

I felt that the service was fair. When I first arrived one of the employees told me the oil change would be 65$. When I paid at the end the oil change ended up being 90$. So I took my car in to get an oil change. The bolts on my skid plate under my car were a little rusted. The service person mentioned the problem, but said they were able to get the plate off. What they didn't tell me is that they cut through the skid plate to get to the oil filter. Furthermore, they recorded the skid plate as previously damaged so I can't argue the point with them. I only just found the cut because I lost a part under the car. Also the oil change took forever. read more

I went for an emissions and registration renewal. I was told that I was the next car behind, the one inside. After an hour of waiting, I decided to leave. They then decided that they could get mine in. They did the emissions, took my card for the on the spot renewal and went to the register. Rudely told me the cost of the emissions, handed me the receipt and walked away. Rather than chase them down I had to go to the DMV with out the renewal card. Sad when the DMV is a lot nicer and extremely quicker than 'jiffy'. Who keeps the customers DMV cards? Did they think I couldn't license it with out it? Terrible customer service. read more
