I had taken a work car over for an oil change here on Laburnum and there were no issues, so I sent my wife over with our personal car to renew the inspection as I felt like I could trust them. Boy was I wrong. They presented her with a long list of repairs that they implied needed to be done to pass inspection, totaling about $1000. I maintain that car myself so I was a bit curious when she called me. My instructions to my wife after she read through the list: get out of there NOW. They ended up hemming and hawing with her and finally admitted, only after she pressed them, that only a small part needed to be replaced ( sway bar link- again, curious) for the inspection. She still demanded the car back and they slow walked the lowering of the car and kept her there another 45 minutes. I brought this car later that week to my trusted mechanic in Lakeside who passed the car with flying colors- I even had them look closely at the sway bar and they told me it was 'perfect'. Only thing they recommended were new rear brake pads, which we did, and that wasn't even on the original list! I think this kind of predatory mechanic shop should be avoided, not trusted, and I certainly will not be back to the Laburnum location.

I loved that aspect of it. The staff at this facility are nice, and they were trying their best but with 1 person to greet customers, answer the phone, schedule appointments and only 1 person who showed up to work on cars, a nail in the tire, tire repair or new tire, ended up taking almost 2.5 hours. We were hoping that it would be a fast easy patch, but it ended up being a new tire. While we were there, 2 more worked showed up to work on the cars, so I think that is why it only took 2.5 hours but even with only 1 worker, they said 90 minutes or so, not 150 minutes. They were trying their best and plenty of customers called upset and even some who came in, were upset and left because they waited so long and were never greeted. I appreciate that they tried their best and did a good job. The place is very dirty, and needs a cleaning. There is a restroom.

If you need an honest mechanic in town, you need to call Mr. Kweleme. My vehicle wasn't feeling…read morethe same after it was serviced. I had it looked at by three different mechanics in Richmond area. All gave me a list of things that needs replaced. Each one's list was different things to be replaced. None of their suggestions sounded right to me. After looking on Yelp I found Mr. Kweleme. Mr. Kweleme replaced two of my vehicle's spark plugs and changed the engine oil and it fixed the issue. I also asked his opinion on the other things mentioned by the previous mechanics, and except one thing, everything else that was told by other mechanics was not necessary. Mr. Kweleme confirmed those parts are in good condition and explained why he thinks they need no replacement. I think Mr. Kweleme is also charges resonably. Thank you Mr. Kweleme!
