I LOVE my Jiffy Lube guys on 53 and Normantown Road. Melvin and Jeremy are so good to me. As a senior citizen, there are times when I need information, of course, grease and oil change. There have been a few times when my car problem was not in their scope of car care but they directed me to a facility that addressed the problem. People please take this review serious the jiffy lube @ normantown & rt 53 provides terrible customer service. They are slow when performing service on your car, they seem to be miserable when you pull in for service. And heaven forbid you need to stop in for top off on fluids because they always seem to have there system down when I have to have a top off. I'm not saying all jiffy lube are...but this jiffy lube has made me a new grease monkey customer. God bless read more

Poor customer service and rude treatment!! On 7/01/22 my work order was #91. This was my first time at this location and the service was absolutely horrible. I only asked for a standard oil change and I was in the lobby over 30 minutes. I wasn't greeted properly. After being gestured to pull up to the entrance, the service tech walked up to my window as I was exiting the vehicle he asked did someone check you in and greet you (no hello, or how can I help you?) I said no you're the first then I was told to wait a minute because he was checking someone else out. I watched as my vehicle was pulled out into the front of the store so I waited by the counter and no one came until about 15 minutes but the same tech didn't acknowledge me instead he proceeded to wait on the guest whose vehicle was pulled out 10 minutes After mine. I asked Justin S. why and he said No they were done first. I said Sir I watched as that vehicle was pulled out after mine and parked in front of my Jeep. He just denied it again, shrugged his shoulders and when I opened my door while he applied the sticker I noticed they failed to vacum. I said all this time and they didn't vacuum? He replied I guess not at that point I asked to see a manager and Justin S. rudely replied he's over there so I had to wait and search for the manager for assistance,he never informed the manager I asked to speak with him. I found Cody K, the manager and explained my rude treatment and experience. My receipt had cleaned interior floors as completed!! He apologized and had them pull it back to vacuum after I removed my son and daughter from the vehicle. As my daughter and I waited she said the person vacuuming most have been talking about me because he was making faces & gestures while looking at me through the glass viewing area. The vacuum job wasn't great, they left debris in some spots and I doubt they cleaned the windows. The techs were smiling and friendly while dealing with the male customers and I felt disrespected as a woman and a customer. They offered to top off my coolant for an extra $6 saying it was low I declined since I have some at home But on the receipt it says coolant is full. I hope everything else was completed right. I have never experienced such rudeness at a Jiffy Lube. read more

Summary: Acceptable work done in a reasonable time, but the price (relative to service) was off. Would not recommend. Oil changes are a commodity, you can't charge dealership prices for routine service and have a waiting area like... a Jiffy Lube. So this location is near my work place and I needed to get this done, so I was willing to forego my favorite garage by home and just get this routine service done at the local Jiffy Lube. It's been a long time since I've been in one of these places. And yet, it's like I never left. Super old chairs in waiting area, variety of magazines. TV with news on. Old coffee. The service was done quickly enough. I was in and out in aprox 30 minutes which is just reasonable. 15 minutes for lube work is fast but achievable. If there isn't a queue of cars ahead of you, 30 minutes is at the acceptable time. Much longer and I'd start to get concerned that someone doesn't know what they're doing. I made a point to get a couple coupons off the Jiffy Lube website and I'M SO GLAD I DID. They told me I need synthetic blend of 0W-20. I don't anything so I took that at face value. They tried to offer me options of either $80 or $60. I took $60 because I saw no benefit in $80 charge. After the fact, I told my coworker how much it cost and they said I should look up what kind of oil my car takes. So I did. It takes 5W-20, but could take 0W-20. To be clear, it's not cool to present only the most expensive options to a customer. To repeat my summary, I would not recommend this store. read more

I've been going here for oil changes for years. I've never had a problem until today. I did for Lyft and on the driver all it states that this location does inspections. I made an appointment online and drove there. When I arrived I was told that because of the pandemic they are no longer doing inspections. This is totally understandable. However the employees there were very ignorant about it. They proceeded to laugh at me and tell me how stupid I was for not knowing this and then hassled me about it as I was driving away. If you don't perform a specific service due to the circumstances then tell your customer that respectfully. Because of this incident I will never go here or any other jiffy lube again for that matter. It was highly unprofessional and if those are the kind of people working for this company then I refuse to give them my business anymore. read more

The guys gave me great service. They were friendly, they worked quickly. I asked them to replace the air filter, but when they took it out, the tech came to me and said, "it still looks great. You shouldn't change it yet." They weren't just trying to make a sale, which I appreciate. They also had complimentary donuts. It doesn't hurt to be right next door to a Dunkin Donuts! The Best Oil Change Service Ever!! I have visited several different places to service my Dodge Journey '10 and I have yet to experience the awesome customer and vehicular service as I have at this location! Upon arrival I was greeted at a timely manner. No waiting or fuss. I enrolled in their system and was guided into an overview of my car. There were pictures and lots of information which was awesome because I don't know anything about cars. Everything was explained to me thoroughly and smoothly. I was understood and taken care of. They even vacuumed my car for me! I have never experienced a vehicular service such as this. I'm excited for my next service and will definitely recommend this location to everyone I know. Was nervous coming here as I have had bad experiences with other Jiffy Lubes but was very happy with the service that I received. He even went above and beyond. I've been to this Jiffy Lube now 2 times since I got a new car. The first visit went well and I was pleased with the service. The second visit wasn't as good of a experience. There is a heat shield on my car that has to be removed to access the oil plug and and filter. I found the heat shield a day later was hanging down because it wasn't tightened properly. Now about 2 weeks later I'm finding oil leaking into the driveway. The oil filter wasn't properly tightened. I don't plan on a future return to Jiffy Lube. read more

Thought I would try this location again after being turned off by a previous loud mouth manager years ago. This time they didn't tell me what an oil change would cost me - before starting to service my car. I finally asked, as they were already draining my oil pan. I was not happy to learn it was going to be just over $90.00. Since my car was already drained, there wasn't much choice. I complained to the manager, and he offered me $10.00 off after I showed him a $5.00 coupon on my phone. When he rang me up, he told me he took a total of $18.00 off the bill because my car only took 5.5 quarts. While I appreciate that, they should have told me up front what the oil change was going to cost. Now during my car's oil change, I heard the manager tell the tech the oil filter to use, and the tech had to take off the one he had installed and put a different one in. Stopped in 4/12/16 after being directed to this facility by the neighboorhood Jiffy Lube as they were out of the filters for my Maxima. Bays were empty when I was promptly greeted by Jonathan. He informed me that there would be a slight delay as a tech was on a parts run. I hardly noticed the delay and Dan made sure that I was cashed out quickly and even took ten bucks off for the slight inconvenience. Great stuff. read more
