Every time I have gone into Mavis I have spoken with/been helped by a different person, so I can safely say everyone here is generous, helpful, and knowledgeable. Oil change, Tire rotation, Engine problems; they know it all and are so willing to help. I have come in with strange issues that don't fall under any normal category and the nice people at mavis in new lenox looked at it for free and diagnosed it for me. I have had them help me countless times at reduced rates because of the generosity of the workers. I always leave them a big tip! Can't overstate enough how great Mavis Tire in New Lenox is. Order tires online. They showed in stock! Had to get done today leaving on vacation tomorrow and found split in tire yesterday. Showed up for 10 am appointment and told tires were not in stock and couldn't be there until Noon. They said they would call and I would return. I left and they called me 20 minutes later and said the tires were in?? Then said they were busy come in at 11:30. Ok got there at 11:25 left truck there. Came back at 1:30 truck on rack only thing done was tires were off the truck. At 2:15 finally started finished at 3:30! No updates no hey sorry to so long nothing!!! Also note little waiting room has no water , no coffee nothing. Excuse was oh that's Corporate Covid policy. Will never go back. What a waisted day! read more

I needed front/rear pad/rotors replaced and spoke with the manager regarding this. I let him know that I had replacement pads/rotors that were under warranty and brought my vehicle in. Once the mechanic pulled the tires he informed me my pads,rotors needed replaced which is what I suspected. The manager proceeded to tell me they can not install outside pads/rotors due to company policy. This is after I had informed the manager of my warranty situation. Granted the existing pads/rotors did not come from their store but he did not say anything about not being able to used the pads/rotors I supplied. HUGE waste of time! I usually go here for oil changes because they are open on Sunday and I'm too busy during the week. Looks like I'm going to have to make time during the week moving forward read more

I had an emergency situation and this was the closest repair place to be towed to. I simply needed to have my tire valves changed. my car was in fine working order. no lights or warnings were present. I have only taken my car to the dealership. This was an emergency. long story short, I was charged a ridiculously high amount, told I had to buy a tire in order for them to complete the work. & the wait was terribly long... I paid and left. About a mile out, warning lights start coming. Service tire pressure system.. I was upset. Next day, I call, they say you can buy new sensors... What? I drive up there and they tell me it was working when I left. I say it was also working when I dropped it off. They look at the car, reset it drive it around. They give be the car back. I drive a bit, light comes back on. Next day, back to shop. The guy says to me that we can't change it 4 sensors for free. I never asked for anything for free. I simply want my car to function as it did when it gave it to you. He gets mad with me and tells me the manager will be back in Tuesday which is 4 days from now. I am furious at this point. I ask can they please fix my car. They take my car back and turn the light off again because as soon as I drive a bit the light comes back on. I wish I knew the reviews before taking my car here. I was just in a emergency situation. Now my car is not functioning properly. No one is taking responsibility or has the skill to fix it. read more

Took my vehicle in for tire rotation and balance. I watched as the tech took tires off and rotated them. But he never balance the tires in the machine they use for balancing. I asked the manager but he said the tech did balance them. I watched he and those tires never made it into the balancing machine. Also, I asked them to check air in all the tires I'm not sure they did. The reason I say that is because I took my car to Fullers after that for an oil change and the tech told me there that two of the tires where low on air. I won't go back there for service again. Buyer beware of work being completed. They've lost my trust, I miss the great service NTB always provided me with for many years of devoted patronage. read more

My first time trying this place for an oil change, made an online appointment. We get there right on time, they don't have my name, show them my appointment I printed when I made the reservation. All they have to say is it's going to be 2-3hours and sorry guys..... Poor customer service, do better. read more

I called ahead to check and see if they had my size tire. After I arrived at the store, Malcom told me that I had to pay cash if I wanted to purchase the tire. I could only use my credit card if I was having them balance and mount it as well. It's almost closing time and I don't have that much cash on me. He said that if I don't like their policy, I should contact the corporate office. This was a total waist of time. The whole thing sounded sketchy to me. I will avoid this place in the future and suggest that others do as well. read more
