Balut was helping me when I dropped off my keys and his customer service is TOP notch. I'm always trying to find a good shop. Some mechanics are unscrupulous and surly, especially if you're a woman and you don't know much about vehicles. In some shops I've felt vaguely intimidated and uncomfortable while waiting for my car to be ready. I was very pleasantly surprised by De Re Tire and Auto. I've been coming here for a couple of years. First, everyone is polite and friendly when answering the phone. This is HUGE. So many businesses have rude, apathetic people providing phone service and it's a real turn off if you feel you've bothered them. Second, the office area and waiting room are immaculate - important in these days of plagues and viruses, eh? The folks behind the counter are wonderful - the perfect balance between professional and friendly. I've always been treated well and with respect even though I know nothing about cars and have an older car. With some shops (like Walmart), I'm never sure if they're really checking fluid levels, tire pressure, etc. Here, I know they're very thorough and honest about what the car may need and when. Their prices are fair and they work quickly and efficiently. The waiting room is comfortable with free water and coffee and clean washrooms. I called to make an appointment to have a tire repaired while I wait, they said to come in at 1:30pm or 4:30pm but when I arrived they said I didn't have an appointment. I told them what they said and the guy at the desk said he told me I needed an appointment which is a complete fabrication. I was a DeRe customer since 1994, but the service has gone down the hill and with all the new options in town I'm done. I have had my emission test done here and was very satisfied! I thought I would try them for an oil change. When I arrived I asked for regular oil to be used. They told me my car had to have synthetic oil. When I explained in the past I have always had the regular versus synthetic debate. I then showed them my past oil change receipts from Mazda showing that my car had been serviced with regular oil. They told me the synthetic was better for my car. The service rep said they would give me a coupon to save me a few dollar on a synthetic oil change. I said I still wanted regular oil. They refused to do the oil change. I don't see why I would need to be upcharges for oil that my car does not require. read more

I took my car here to have some work done. The check engine light had come on and my emissions test was around the corner. I was very worried about getting it to pass without costing an arm and a leg. They were able to do the work AND do the emissions test for me on-site, so all I had to do was come pick it up a day or two later. It was so convenient to go to a shop that does both. Brought my car in to get windshield wipers checked. Was told there would be no charge unless parts needed to be removed to diagnose the problem. Left for an hour and a half and got breakfast. When I returned, car in the same spot, seat was not moved back (I am a tiny female and it is highly unlikely a grown man would fit in the seat w/o adjustment). They charged me $24.99 to tell me it was the wiper transmission (already suspected that because I'd already replaced the blades). When asked for a refund, they said they had removed parts to diagnose problem and I'm not sure they did anything except turn the car and wipers on. They offered to credit my bill toward the repair but after shopping around it is still much less expensive to eat the $25 and go elsewhere. Will not do business with again. read more

Back in January It was time for my car to be tested for emissions. The DMV website suggested De Re's as a possible option near me to complete this annoying task. I learned from staff they are a satellite company . I had never heard of De Re's tire shop and I was quite skeptical. To my surprise, I was pleasantly surp rised!. The sales people were kind, considerate and very fast though it was 5 minutes to closing. Emissions testing was done so quickly and efficiently , I will NEVER go back to a state run facility again. My car was in need of wiper blades. Because the staff was efficient, kind and capable, I initiated the sale of wiper blades. No one coerced me or tried to cheat me in anyway, though I was a woman alone. I bought and paid for the blades and the salesman offered to install the blades for me. I accepted the offer and expected him to present me a bill for service rendered. He did not give me a bill at all even though it was past closing time, they were hungry and had wives expecting them. I have absolutely nothing bad to say about this tire shop or the people working there. I am stunned to see the negative reviews. However, I am glad to see the positive reviews completely outweigh the negative ones. TW read more

I had a great experience here! My "low tire pressure" light kept coming on for one particular tire. This happened once right as I was getting ready to leave town and couldn't find an air machine anywhere. I happened to see De Re and pulled up, hoping they could help me. Not only did they fill my tire, they stayed open late to do it and didn't charge me for it. The technician thought that my wheel had probably become corroded and recommended I have it checked. I brought my car in the next week so they could take a look at it. Yep, the wheel was corroded. They cleaned it and re-sealed it at any incredibly low price. They were also nice enough to drive me to work while they were repairing it. When I came back to pick it up, they remembered me and greeted me by name (I LOVE that!). I can't say I'm hoping to go return soon (knock on wood), but the next time my car is acting up, I'll definitely be back! read more

They are scams and lie to people about what wrong with the car or truck they said the alinement was 2 millimeters of but no alinement sheet your telling me they can see 2 millimeters the they had warranty work would not fix it and tried to find other things wrong with it when i called to find out what was wrong they told me that they would call me back tried finding things like a front end thats 2 millimeters out of alinement ford gives a tolerance of . 75 so tell me how it need a alinement then they said that the rack and pinion was leaking the truck has 160,000 miles and there is a small stain on the box at 160,000 mile thing are going have stains it not leak its just used so anyone who has half a brain should never take anything to this place because they are just looking to rip you off read more

Brought van in first thing in morning. Never heard anything on what they found or an estimate for repairs.
