This Jiffy Lube is tops and I have been to a lot of them. My wife and I both wet to get oil changes on our cars. Mine was a fleet car, and my wife was the family car. I came in for an oil change to a new vehicle we bought. I drove up and the mechanic said that my engine heat hit him in the face and it was very hot. He recommended that I do a radiator service to address this. :) My temperature gage was fine. He then told me I had gold flakes in my brake fluid and recommended changing the brake fluid. I'll check my fluid tomorrow but I'm assuming he made this up also. Just offer a service and knowledge when needed without coercing people into purchasing products. Making up things to sell a service has always really rubbed me the wrong way. Just be honest. Would not recommend. I went to Valvoline later on that week in Woodburn, OR for another vehicle. Very impressed. Service was much better, the tech gave me valuable and solid information on my cars 4 wheel drive system (which I requested), etc. Go there instead! read more

Absolutely not. This place is ran by crooks. My senior citizen husband who is hearing impaired took my car to this location today for a simple oil change and these guys 100% tried to take advantage of him. First they told him it would be $20 to fill the windshield wiper fluid and then said Honda says that the brake fluid must be replaced every 25,000 miles. My husband declined paying the money for windshield wiper fluid or break fluid replaced. When my husband explained what happened I called them and the person I spoke with (don't recall his name) said he was the assistant manager. He told me my husband was a liar and that no one had told him it would cost anything to fill the windshield wiper fluid. When I asked why was the reservoir bone dry less than an hour after the car left he explained "the guys must have forgotten". Weird that the 3 guys working on it, including this assistant manager conveniently "forgot". I didn't even ask about him lying about the break fluid. Per Hondas website and owners manual it's recommended every 3-5 years. My car is 5 years old with roughly 32,000 miles on it and it was done on my car a year ago. The "assistant manager" wasn't open to a conversation, he just wanted to hear himself talk and feel like the smartest guy in the room. I've completed the my survey, hope they read it. But trust me there is at least a dozen better places to spend your money on an oil change. read more

Everytime I come here, I always think it'll be different or better than the last time. I don't always come here for an oil change however my preferred shop to go to closes at 5 and I'm off work too close to the cut off and traffic is terrible. I go here, and obviously they tell me to change certain things and I can say yes or no. However, whenever I explain I can go to another shop which in fact my cousin is the manager at preferred location, the guy there said "that's not a mechanic, that's just family." After paying for the service, the guy came by and dropped off the paper and said "well see you next time, oh wait, you have a cousinnnnn instead so maybe we won't see you!" Yeah. Never coming back to this jiffy lube again. And if it matters, yes I'm a brown woman and I know anytime I go anywhere for an oil change service, I'll get this. But I don't appreciate being patronized, especially when the bill is over $200. read more

My husband and I were driving on the freeway in Portland, OR when we heard a 'whoosh' and our scratch/dust plate that covers the oil pan started dragging on the ground. (This happened before but we failed to get it replaced!) We limped into the nearest garage which happened to be a Jiffy Lube. Because they only do oil changes (at least I thought they did but now know they much more) I thought they might not be able to help us but they were our only resort. Otherwise we would have had to call AAA for a tow home. I walked in and told the manager the problem and he said they could get it up on a lift and see what they could do. It was around 4:30pm in the afternoon and I thought that they may be getting ready to close. (I found out they close at 5:30pm.) Manager Austin and his crew, Donovan, Declan and Anthony, assessed the situation and proceeded to put some zip ties and some clips through the plate to keep it in place to get us through our one hour ride home. When they finished I asked him how much I needed to pay him and he replied, "nothing." I was dumbfounded and asked several times to pay him and each time he refused. I thanked him profusely and told him that my payback was to write a five star review so here it is and well deserved. A nice bunch of guys who came to our rescue in a time of need. Thank you guys! And yes, I did get the dust plate replaced at another garage. Lesson learned! read more

When I drove up there was a bit of a line, because there was a car parked and engine I believe partially out in one of the bays, not being worked on. However, the line moved quickly, they gave me the option of staying in the car or hanging out in the lobby to watch bad daytime TV, and even vacuumed the interior for me. My only reason for rating down is I showed them a coupon and instead of actually scanning it or entering it in he just gave me a close to, but not quite as high write-in discount on the final bill. I wasn't going to argue for a few dollars because I was tired and it was close, but it seemed like a strange way to handle a legitimate and current for that location coupon from their website. And secondly, when I got back in my car the glove box was open. Not sure what they had to access in there, maybe an attempt to check the air filters, but that's not the access point in my car. Regardless it left me with the slightly disconcerting thought that maybe next time I'll skip the vacuum, and I double checked that it seemed like everything was still in there. It was, so I'm not making any actual claims of any bad actions by any means, but it just left me a little paranoid since I couldn't think of why else they'd be checking in there, but I'm sure there was a reason. read more

Stay away. These people are interested in finding ways to sell you expensive parts and repairs that you really don't need. This Jiffy Lube close to our hotel was the only available option for auto repair on a Saturday morning when I discovered that the driver window on my car had been tampered with and had dropped inside the door. The resident mechanic, Ricky, told us it was due to the cable that was part of the motor mechanism having broken "because it is a very thin cable." I was inclined to think the window had been forced down by one of the homeless people encamped close to the hotel, and just needed to be re-positioned, but I was told that a whole new window motor device needed to be purchased and installed, at a cost of nearly $700.00. When we picked up the car the following day, Rick the mechanic wasn't in, and I asked to see the old part. The on-duty guy showed me my old window motor, with a fully intact cable. Nothing was broken. I asked why I was told the cable was broken, and he gave me a completely unconvincing and different story. This Jiffy Lube just lost a longtime oil change customer. read more

We had the oil changed in our 2016 Mazda CX-5 and used a pre-paid VISA credit card. They seemed to have trouble charging it and ran it repeatedly, but assured us that it wasn't charging us. The problem is, it was. They ended up charging us multiple times and are now refusing the refund our money. So, they are STEALING OUR MONEY. When we called (again) to get this fixed they say "There's nothing we can do", but when we call the card carrier to dispute the charges and call them back they tell us "We've already refunded you!" Um, no, you did not. You still have our money (THEIFS!) and are LIARS too Avoid this place!!! read more

I've been using this Jiffy Lube over a decade and there has been a high level of turnover in recent years. It's been a long time since an employee has made me feel welcome and confident in the service. That long dry streak ended today with Haitham A. I finally found an employee I felt I could trust to do me right and do my cars right. He didn't push an upsell, and even remembered me when I came in 7 hours later with my wife's car. Early December 2022, I went to this location for the oil change. Firstly, the price they asked was higher than the listed prices on the screen in the store. The next day, the engine oil light started flickering and I noticed a burning smell. Upon parking my car, I discovered the excessive oil leak/spill under my car which was also visible along the street. I took my car immediately to the same location and I was told that the oil leak was caused by the manufacturing defect of the oil filter. They refused to give a refund. They just offered a free oil change and gave me a small amount of concrete cleaner powder which was entirely useless without appropriate equipment (pressure washer etc.) I can't know the fact how my car has been affected by this incident which also caused damage on carport of my rental unit, and I will have to pay cleaning cost of the driveway to the property management. I DO NOT recommend this store to anyone. I won't ever go to any Jiffy Lube again. read more

Went in for an oil change and brake pads and rotor replacement. The oil change was quick, but it took FIVE HOURS to change the brakes. They didn't have all the parts and didn't verify they had the parts before tearing apart the brake system on the car. We ended up staying a half hour after they closed waiting on them to finish. The total cost of the oil change and brakes was $700. For work we could've done ourselves, but chose to take it in for the convenience. They offered us a measly $50 off our next oil change, professionally written on the back of a business card. Needless to say, we won't be coming back for any service. read more

I went in this morning thinking I needed an oil change according to my sticker from my last oil change. The staff were very welcoming and informed me that my car actually doesn't use a milage sticker, but rather uses a sensor inside. They offered to check it out and do a top off. They filled up my washer fluid and checked my oil and said I would be good for my road trip. Friendly staff, good service. read more

I called in on Sunday and spoke with one of the guys. It helps to have a little knowledge yourself but also to talk to an expert. He knew what I was talking about right away, quoted me a price and on Tuesday we were in and out in about 30 minutes. I had my battery terminal replaced on my truck that has been giving me some issues. My wife's car, they were not able to fix but they told us exactly where to go and even knew the guys at the new location. My wife had to get her serpentine belt fixed on her car. They simply lacked the tools but were really informative and led us the right direction. Staff was friendly as well to coincide with their knowledge. I had a bad experience with Jiffy Lube in Bellingham and for some unknown reason decided to give them another try (here in Salem, on Lancaster Road) when I took my Mini in for an oil change. Got past the normal sales spiel-- you need to upgrade the oil quality you need new wiper blades, you need a tire rotation...blah, blah blah..... and was told that the oil change should take about 30 minutes. 2 hours later some guy wanders in and tells me that the reason it was not completed was that they could not get the oil cap back on. What???!!! Are you kidding me dude?? I told him fix it so I can get out of here. He replies, 'I can't" and when asked what he was going to do about it, replies that it was not their problem; it must have been that the "technicians" at the previous oil change place had cross threaded the cap. Another 30 minutes of them just ignoring me and completing about another 4 cars oil change, he comes back and says, "we can't do anything and you can't drive it because it has no oil in it. Call a tow truck" I asked him to call one and he replies "you have a cell phone don't you? you call one". Nice!!! Called a tow truck company--they came, took it to their workshop and here we go again Jiffy lube.... Pity you cannot give minus stars because that is what I would give this rude, unprofessional, shoddy outfit.....never again!! How are these places still in business? Update 12/14/19 I had a call from Jason (Manager) who apologized for the service and stated that it would be remedied. He offered a reimbursement for my expenses to the tune of $250 (still out about $300 of my own pocket) as that was the maximum he could extend. The money would have to come from corporate. I had gotten a set of tires at jiffy lube a few months ago. Yesterday, one of my tires exploded on me and I was stuck. I called jiffy lube and learned that it was still under warranty, however I could not get my car to his location. Alex from jiffy lube, drove out to my location and took my tire off for me, went and bought a new tire since learning that a warranty replacement would take 24 hours, and brought the new paid tire to me and had it installed in a matter of minutes. I cannot think Alex and jiffy lube enough! They are wonderful, and I highly recommend! read more

I'm not sure if the Jiffy technicians did something wrong or not but recently I went in for an oil change and experienced problems immediately afterward. First, the engine started running rough and then the car wouldn't turn over. I recently had the car inspected and nothing in the starting sphere was noticed by the mechanics. It could be a coincidence or they could've inadvertently contributed to a malfunction. I ended up having to have the car towed from a supermarket. Just to be on the safe side, I won't return to this particular business. read more

Unprofessional is the one word I can use the describe their level of service. I watched this all unfold for another customer and I was disappointed enough to write this review. First they sprayed coolant all over their engine bay from releasing a hot radiator. Then I watched that customer get scolded for starting their car when asked to by a service tech and finally the most unprofessional point, one of their service techs asked the customer if they had a swastika tattoo on their hand. The customer clearly looked offended and from that level of unprofessionalism, I won't be returning and I hope that customer doesn't either. I am not trying to get this location canceled so to speak, but take this review and correct the behavior to have more professional techs working. It makes all mechanics/techs look bad from this behavior. read more

Well I'm sorry to have to report this, but I took my pick up here a year ago and drop it off with brand new AC Delco plugs and plug wires and paid them about 250 to install them. Well a year later my truck is in the shop needing a full tune up, where are my plugs Jiffy Lube? These people are not technicians, they don't have the tools in the training to work on cars, any ol ass clown can do an oil change! The workers here have little to no respect for women. I felt belittled by my experience here. I came in once to get my oil changed, then said I would come in Friday to get the oil pan fixed. So on Friday(today) I came in as advised and planned. Then only to find out that at 3:00pm there isn't enough time to fix my cracked oil pan. After that I went to ford and they had the part, and could do it right there. It was then done around 5:00pm. Not only is this location sexist. But also lazy. Due to being lazy I then spend my $483 to a Michanic that is reliable. read more

After having my oil changed and driving home, upon getting out I noticed my hood was slightly open on the drivers side. Upon open the hood I found they left the oil cap off and above the headlight. So back I go. Had them check the fluids and coolant was low, which they told me it was toped off. I pulled in at 5:03 tonight and was told they just closed and refused to service my car. I checked the website before I left home - they are open until 6 on sundays and 7 the rest of the week. Even as I type this at 5:15 - Yelp says you are open. I was told it was not accurate information and that they close at 5 on sundays and 6 the rest of the week. I come here to get my fleet vehicle serviced and it's always a disaster. They're rude, lazy, and are thieves - charging for work they don't perform. Change your website hours, get staff that wants to work, stop stealing. read more
