Reasonably priced. If you're just coming in to get your oil and filter changed, fluids filled, wipers, air filter, and tires properly inflated, you'll be satisfied. But I don't recommend if you expect them to do everything according to your manufacturer's recommendations. I brought my AWD Camry in to get serviced. Everything went well except for the part about the drive shaft bolt retorquing. There's a bolt on the drive shaft of AWD Carmy's that Toyota requires retorquing every 10,000 or 15,000 miles / 12-18 months (depending on driving conditions). Toyota service centers do the retorquing every service they do. But when I talked to the service rep at this location, he didn't know anything about it. My point is that you'll probably be happy here if you just want basic car service. But if you want to make sure you get manufacturer-specific things done for your car, take it to the dealership. read more

I do not recommend! After spending 179$ to service my A/C, they tested the compressor but not the source of the A/C leak. All they did was fill up the refrigerant and send me on my way, after 4 hours of working a/c the compressor stopped working all together and they have no intentions of fixing it right, not even a refund. read more

Came upon this Valvoline while in Keizer for my sons baseball game. I was experiencing car trouble and my oil light came on so I drove here to get help. Endlessly grateful that this is where I ended up. I had bigger issues than just an oil change, and Mason and the crew went above and beyond to help me out. We've used this business for years and lately the staff have been extremely slow and don't pay attention to detail. They lost a bolt on the air filter then lied about it, when called to question the guy finally told the truth. We've been dripping oil for several weeks after the recent oil change. When we brought the vehicle back they said it was just residual oil on the frame that dripped while filling, claimed they checked everything and just rinsed the frame off. It still dripped oil only for us to find the oil filter not screwed on tight and fairly loose. So clearly they lied about checking everything. It's sad to see a business go down the toilet and lose customer's trust. They all need retaining in automobile care as well as attention to detail and integrity. Stay away until the owner gives enough of a damn to fix his business. You can't be left on the side of the road with no oil and a filter just gone. read more

I went to the one on S Commercial by keubler Rd to complain that they had tightened the filter to much 10 months ago as I couldn't get the filter off myself as I was changing my oil and filter myself. The manager got involved and showed me tools they use. after a minute or so he offered to come to my house and get the filter off for me. Gave him my address and he showed up about 4 minutes behind me. Got the filter loosened for me and then left. Will definitely go back there if I can't do it myself again. I'm beyond disappointed for having to wait 20-25 minutes to get my oil topped off. We use to be-able to pull up front and get quick customer service. Now we have to wait in line for a bay to open up. They are short staffed. NOW you have to pay to top off the oil. WTH??? read more

OMG I can't say enough good things about Michael, manager of this location! I wasn't even a customer of theirs. But he saw that I had stalled out in the middle of traffic on Lancaster road on his way home. Like this dude wasn't on the clock or getting paid (spoiler alert I tried to give him cash and he said no, cause he didn't stop to help because he wanted a customer or money, he stopped to help me and my mom because it was the "right" thing to do.) Like wtf who does that anymore? He got my car to the next parking lot entrance and instead of that being "that's my good deed for the day" he stayed with me for the next at least 30 minuets making literally 18 trips to (somewhere, I hope he hope he didn't pay for the that many water bottles) to fill up little water bottles to fill up my apparently leaky coolant tank with water. He talked to me about what was wrong and gave me advice about how to get home safe, etc.... and this dude, you will not believe actually offered to follow me all the way down Lancaster till it was time for me to pull off into my neighborhood. Like I know this could come of as creepy to women, but he didn't follow me home, he just was there to make sure I didn't stall out on such a dangerous main road! l literally cried in relief that he just stepped out of his way in such a good hearted way, with gaining nothing for himself! Back to the spoiler above, I tried to repay he with the cash I had in my wallet.... his response was that he just did what he believed anyone should do and he couldn't believe that so many cars passed us without offering to help. To elaborate a little on why we needed help so desperately, neither my mom or me had our cell phones charged and we were basically just stuck in holding up a busy main street, terrified and waiting for someone to call the cops to get rid of us. So in conclusion, I have never been a customer of this Valvoline location, but knowing the kind of management that is running this place I am NEVER going anywhere else! Nice guys working here and I adore the uniforms!! Only $35.99 for oil change and they topped off coolant, added air to tires all while I rested in comfort in my car. They explained everything in a way I could understand, ie they showed me that transmission fluid should be pink, not blackish brown, and only tried to up-sell me about three times. I've used this place in the past and had very good service. People were very friendly and up front about all my questions. They were super fast and thorough. I happened to need an air filter and they showed me what condition mine was in which helped me to proceed to have it replaced. This time when I visited to have my oil changed, I had the same great service but a little hiccup as I use synthetic oil and there's been a shortage on some products lately so I wasn't able to get 100% synthetic but a blend which they said would work good too just need to get the oil changed a little sooner. Very professional and friendly. I took my vehicle in for an oil change and I got exactly what I needed. They offered other services with ample information so I could make an informed decision. The only negative I had was the wait. I was in line for 1 hour; but, before this turns you off, please look at the 5 star rating. Several times staff asked if I would like to change lines because the vehicle in front of me was getting a number of extra services that accounted for the delay. I chose to stay in the same line so as to not inconvience other patrons. While waiting, I was offered a newspaper to read and coffee or water to drink. I was prepared for the upsale, but was very surprised when they told me I didn't need many of the services. I never thought I'd say the highlight of my day was getting my oil changed. But alas, I did. I stopped by this location and was promptly greeted. I was quickly handed a daily Oregonian and their "menu" of oil options and other services, and offered a beverage or popcorn. There was only one car ahead of me, so my wait was not long (5-10 minutes). I was then helped by Jose, who was very friendly and honest. When he showed me the air filter, which was a bit dirty, he told me that it really could wait until the next visit to be replaced. They had a special going on, and I ended up buying three services (oil change plus two others) and spending over $100. This deal got me 20% off. I was not only fed a snack and had my car serviced, but I was also entertained. The workers talk back and forth and repeat what each other say. I'm not quite sure why they do this, but there were at least two guys working on my car. I think the third was in the car pit underneath me (if that is what it is called). Because they say what they are doing as they do it (and the other man repeats it), it sounds like a song. I was quite amused that they were practically chanting about fixing my car up. My daughter went in here for an oil change on a car she just bought. They discovered that the vehicle had just had one before she bought it. They topped off her fluids and when she went to start the car again it didn't start. The tech Zack went out of his way to find out what was wrong with my daughters car. He found out that the battery terminal was actually broken and replaced both of them for free. It took about an hour and the manager Tyler also looked at it and was able to find a fuse that was out which along with the battery terminal was the reason it wouldn't start. I'm just grateful my daughter had this happen there where she was safe and these amazing people helped her out. However I was away from home and badly needed my oil changed in my beloved Subaru (about 5k miles over due lol) I had my own oil and filter. I came in and talked to Tyler the manager and he offered to give me a fantastic deal that even I, a fellow lube shop employee couldn't resist. They guided me in and immediately got to work. Originally, I gave this a two-star rating despite years of excellent, efficient service. Yesterday, (3/20/2015) I had been bringing my vehicles into this location for over 15 years, receiving fast attentive service. Yesterday, I got fast. My attendant disappeared since he evidently had a phone call with a customer. I was within 500 miles of my allotted mileage but was not given my discount. it seems that I was over this store's recommendation, but was within (actually 450 miles short of the limit) set by the store in Seaside where I had my oil changed last. I did not receive a fluid comparison check to see if anything needed changing and I had to remind them to check my air filter. After I got home I had to reattach the engine cover since they tightened only one screw gave up on one and left another floating on the surface. I not only placed this rating, but also sent a message to the store. About an hour later I received a phone call from the store manager, who explained he was away on a manager's training, and the attendant who served me was a trainee and somehow things got very unorganized. He reviewed the video of my service and verified what I said was true and offered either a refund of my charges for the oil change or a full credit on my next change. I chose the credit. The upshot is this whole matter was handled quickly, professionally, and with the same degree of courtesy I have come to expect from Oil Can Henry's wherever I have gone. I am going to assume this was an anomaly, and I will definitely go back and not just because of the credit. My two-star rating is now an enthusiastic five-star. read more

The service was fast and effective and the upsell was there but Loren wasn't pushy about it at all. I had a fantastic experience here today. I had just come from a pretty dismal experience from Jiffy Lube and thought I'd give this place a try before paying for services from Jiffy Lube and I'm very glad I did. I was seated in a nice waiting area and offered a paper, coffee and bottle of water. My car was in the garage in five minutes. Jiffy Lube had told me they couldn't change my oil (all that I needed today) because my drip pan was damaged. They quoted me at $190. To my great surprise the kind folks at Oil Can Henry's told me that the drip pan was NOT damaged. A plug was damaged and I could replace it for $5! They even gave me a card for another business that would take a look at it and rethread the plug for me. They changed my oil and double checked the brake fluid levels, battery, transmission fluids and other things. They also gave me a coupon for their other services if I decide to have them check those out. All in all, their services only cost me $80, a good deal for the full service I got. I'm so glad that I found this place and I think I'll be a loyal customer from now on. It really taught me to double check reviews and shop around! read more

Update on the repeat visit: (Why I brought my other cars is down below...) Today, I brought my Honda and a family Van, Plymouth/Chrysler. What the first time I didn't notice was the staff run/walk up to every new vehicle and ask what kind of service you'd like. Then, they begin servicing each car, in the line, like checking and tire pressure and inflating them. As you wait, you already get serviced, how cool is that !? The service went pretty fast and you get updated at every step of the process. I noticed a few of business'/commercial vans got serviced there too. Supporting the local guys for their extra effort, I'm all for it. ....Why I brought my other cars? I try to (now) to service my cars during an off-season, when there are less projects on my hands. I was hit by a major repair bill (a couple of thousand of dollars for a differential) this past November by a mechanic, all for not changing the fluids regularly. And when I was here the last time, an elderly lady brought her car in and the radiator was all full of water as she was topping it with just water. That made me to think, if I want to invest several hundred of dollars? to replace radiators in my cars. My thing is if I don't do it now, I wouldn't even get to it. The family van and my Honda had only "regular" oil changes and nothing else. Well, when I asked the guys to check the radiator fluids and replace them (I asked to have them replaced), there was already some-kind of a white film forming as they opened the cap in front of me. It turns out, the antifreeze turns into an acid, given time, and begins to ruin the cooling system, it takes only 2 years, wow. Luckily and hopefully there is no extensive damage from my oversight. I figured, I would rather pay a few dollars now then to pay thousands later on. read more
