I'll start off with saying this was an amazing experience! I'm always apprehensive when going to get my car worked on as a single woman (for the obvious reason that the car world is a male dominated industry). I've never felt so comfortable and welcomed while receiving a quick oil change, ever! I will add the last time I went in for an oil change (*different location) I was harassed by an employee there so I was hesitant going in at all, but my car needed it. A huge shout out to the gentlemen who worked with me today: Damon, Max, and Royal. They were all so helpful and informative, without being pushy and trying to upsell me on anything. Women beware. My daughters and I have used this store since we moving to West Salem 7 years ago. My AC needed to be recharged, they quoted me $650! I went to another place across from Safeway in West Salem and was quoted $220 however their machine was not working. I then went to another Jiffy Lube and was quoted $399 but was told about a $50.00 off coupon. The fact that the pricing was double at the West Salem location is NOT ok! Shame on you guys! To bad too because the service guys are great, this was management that took over and gave me the quote. read more

DISHONEST SERVICE TECHNICIANS. DO NOT USE THIS BUSINESS. I'm a veteran and often use Jiffy Lube because of the veteran discount. The last time I went to this location the service technician said my back license plate bulbs were burned out and needed replacing, which I thought odd since I replaced the bulbs myself within the last six months. When I got home and checked the bulbs and they were working perfectly and did not need to be replaced. Now I wonder if the technicians actually changed my oil filter or left the old one in place, or replaced the oil in my engine with a cheaper grade than I asked for. The service technicians always make a big show of thanking me for my military service, and try to rip me off. I wonder how many others have fallen for their shady practices. DO NOT USE THIS BUSINESS. Went there for an oil change a couple of days ago. The service was amazing. Was assisted by a gentleman by the name of Damon. Damon is a great man of jiffy lube. Very thorough with his communication. Let me know things that I didn't know about my car. Which was awesome because me and my wife just purchased this car. Will for sure recommend this location just because of him. I honestly felt he valued our car and our time. Will for sure come back for all other related things for my car because of our first visit. read more

I took my car in with some starting issues a few months ago as I've used this jiffy lube for regular routine services and they had previously done well. It ended up becoming a whole debacle that I wish I had avoided. It took them 4+ attempts to try and fix the issue. I had to take my car to another shop to have them fix the mistakes this shop made. Then I had to take my car to an additional mechanic to have the starting issues actually fixed. Both independent mechanics recommended I not take the car to this shop again, even for regular service, all because of the terrible quality of service. I reached out to management and gave them documentation from the other mechanics proving the issues with my car were related to jiffy lube's less than performance. They fired the staff that had been working on the car. They told me they would give me a refund, even had me sign a paper saying they would give it to me. Months later and I am still waiting on that check. I'm very disappointed, as I thought that the staff seemed pretty honest and respectful from previous interactions. I will be reaching out to higher jiffy lube management and potentially seeking legal action. Do not go here. read more

TL;DR: I'll be back! I'm always so worried going to a quick mechanic, especially as a woman. Like many others, I'm on edge that I am being taken advantage of or being tricked in some way. I came here with the boyfriend to get his oil changed a little bit ago and it went smoothly, so I decided to chance it. I'm glad I did! Last time, there was a guy here (based on other reviews, I think it was Robert maybe?) who wasn't the best. But today everyone I interacted with was lovely. Max was the main person I interacted with from start to finish. If you come here, ask for Max. What a lovely human. He was so nice and I think could sense my unease, so he did everything he could to help out. He took his time explaining everything, offered a handful of coupons to assist, and made sure to check in with me. I got a few different services done and it wasn't too bad. For oil change, fuel cleaning, new internal filter, break check, transmission fluid, and power steering, came out to around $350. I was expecting over $500, so a steal! These gentlemen eased my concerns and I will for sure be coming back here, and for sure hoping to get Max! Thanks guys! read more

Not usually a big fan of these quick lube style places. But I started using this Jiffy Lube because its just over the road from my place. And have had nothing but great service and no problems. Have taken 3 of my own cars here and my daughters car and everything has been real nice. I feel the guys here do go that extra mile to help you out. And i never felt like they were piling extra stuff that really didn't need done on to me. Also they accept coupons with a smile not a grimace! read more

My husband and I love this Jiffy Lube, we have gone to a few others in Salem and will never go to any other Jiffy Lube again. This team is amazing. We've had them do most of our mechanic work on our cars. And go to them for oil changes. Very friendly and always know what's going on with us and always ask how we're doing. They are a great team and don't pressure us into anything we don't need. Offered to change lightbulbs if needed but don't pressure us to have them done. They are currently Fixing our CV shaft on our 2002 Ford explore. They have fixed other things on previous vehicles. Highly recommend them. read more

I just went to this Jiffy Lube in west Salem. I will NEVER be back! My 15 year old new driver and I went to get my oil changed. While doing my oil change they dropped and lost my oil cap. We waited for 40 minutes for them to locate my oil cap. In the mean time we had to listen to a very obnoxious I think manager name Robert. He was using vulgar language about other customers after they would leave. His mouth was offensive and I was embarrassed for him. Upon losing my oil cap and making us wait there for he says oh I can get you this deal 25.00 off. Well I already had that coupon so that's not a good deal. When I said half off he said no. After waiting 40 mins plus for an oil change I still paid 60.00! I was very disappointed and will not be back. read more

They did not pressure me to buy anymore services other then what I requested. They also washed my windows and vacuum out my car. I must admit this location is awesome. Went here for oil change and was told I had 4% moisture in brake lines that needed to be flushed.... don't remember the exact wording since I'm just a chick. What the mechanic didn't know is that I had visited another Jiffy Lube across town and was told the same thing just a few months prior and I paid the $$ to get it done. I told the mechanic this and he said maybe his tool was broken so he checked it again in front of me and said yup it was his tool. I no sooner walked into the waiting room and that same mechanic told the next guy the same thing about 4% moisture. He never changed his tool!! I will still go to Jiffy Lube for oil changes but that's it. I will not let them pressure me into any other services. read more

I write this only after using this location more than half a dozen times so that it would be fair. I don't think any one time visit anywhere good or bad will reflect any evaluation accurately. My experience has been positive with this jiffy every time. I even have had them fix a crack in my windshield once and it is still holding after over a years time. If you are somewhat familiar with what your auto needs you won't be bothered by the upswell of additional services. A simple no will suffice or next round we can check into it later and they won't pester you. One time I should have replaced my wipers as they suggested and didn't just before the winter started, and I ended up regretting not doing so in the middle of a storm....thumbs up here for this location. read more

Swing by for a convenient and fast oil change.... Almost 2 hours later my pickup is finally running and I can leave. Drained the fuel from my motor and then couldn't get it primed. I get that it is a difficult task but if you ain't got the now how or the tools don't do it!! 230 dollar bill and you give me 17 dollars off!!! Really!!!! I would not recommend this place to anyone. I have very few loyalties, but the crew at Jiffy Lube on Wallace has my business for... as long as I'm living in Oregon. Justin, Free, and the team are always smiling. They remember my name and what's happening in my world. They objectively, simply inform me of what's going on with my car, and give sincere suggestions on what ought to be addressed and what is less important to spend money on now. I really enjoy this place. The employees are always friendly and open and honest. They show me the "issues" they may see, (such as a clogged filter), then they tell me cost. Some times they even give me a coupon, that I may have forgotten at home or even if I forget the coupon at home they'd accept me pulling it up on my phone. I've heard them doing it for others too (if a coupon is there to be given of course). Bottom line I'm l going to come to them for the things I can have done there. I'm glad they do tires now too! Yes they do a great job changing oil. However, I wish when I went in there they did not Bully me, into trying to buy other services.

Went there, from California, while visiting my family for Christmas. They talked me into getting the works, which included vacuuming. While i was standing outside, i watched the employee underneath my truck with a wrench in several areas under my truck. Later he invited me under the truck, to inform me that a truck with almost 500 thousand miles would have many problems. at this time i informed him, that my new motor only had a little over 15 thousand miles on it. He proceeded to show me power steering fluid pouring out of my power steering pump. Which was full, had it been leaking like that, there would have been no fluid in it. One of the several places I watched him wrenching on. That was the first place I watched him spend time wrenching. Then he pulled my oil filter off and started wrenching on something above where the oil filter was than he replaced the filter. Next he had me look above the oil filter, and pointed out another leak, Then he told me my transfer case is leaking too. It was also full. Strange I have all these new leaks everything is full though, After I left, my truck started pulling very hard. By time I got home my right tire was ruined, My mechanic friend tells me it looks like someone had been wrenching on my alignment. Because I have a new motor in my truck, I park in my driveway, and watch daily to make sure had no leaks, and no alignment problem until I went to jiffy lube. I can only speculate why this employee might have done this. Rather or not its something they are trained to do, similar to what other big companies train their employees, Or just a crazy employee, I don't know.The only reason I believe that might possibly be something these employees are trained to do, because I have left several messages with corporate offices with no return call. Would have given a minus hundred stars if it would have let me. the only reason I gave 1 star, is because that's the only way I could leave a review. Would highly recommend never going to this jiffy lube,I will never go to any jiffy lube again. PS; did not realize how dangerous it was driving my truck home with what they did with my alignment. They not only messed up my Christmas, they put my son and my life in danger, Spoke to manager Free today. He basically told me prove it. It's my word against there word. Not sympathetic at all. I know now, the manager of that shop is involved. The other day I talked to the assistant manager he told me their video was not working. The girl was telling my friend what she needed to have done and was selling her products. she paid for one of the products to be nice because they ALWAYS tell you something is wrong. Then the lady tried telling her she needed to buy the nicer oil and my friend said "I am ok but thank you" and the girl told her "is it because you can't afford it cuz you are really going to have to budget it in next time" Why would you ever ask someone if they can afford something that is rude and terrible customer service read more

I have been coming to the West Salem Jiffy Lube for about the past three years. I always receive helpful, professional service no matter how busy the staff may be at the time I show up. Today, however, I was worried about my truck. Earlier in the day my truck had not wanted to start after brief stops while I was running errands. So I kept the truck running and continued about my day. I called a family member who thought it might be the fuel filter but this was based only on my sketchy description of the problem. So I finally went to my trusty West Salem Jiffy Lube and, with some shaky confidence, turned off my truck when instructed to do so. Was the fuel filter the real problem? Or would there end up being some wildly expensive repair costs involved? Meanwhile, Robert, the technician working with my truck was so kind and and polite! At the end, when my fuel filter and oil change was completed, Joe wanted me to turn on the truck. I tried to explain that this might not work. With far more patience than I deserved, he finally got me to turn the key and it started! Amazing! And so it was that I drove away literally into the sunset. read more

Beyond UNPROFESSIONAL!!!! Went in 3/3/16. Full oil change. I was charged 29.99. ( I have receipts to prove and they even looked the history of the transaction on the computer) today I went in, they tried up selling me. I said no because I'm selling the car. Long story short they tried charging me $79.96 for an oil change. If it's the same service and oil why is it $40 more expensive than last time? I was then told that "there is no way I only payed $30 for an oil change". He than pulled up my receipt and it sure enough said 29.99. All 4 men surrounded the computer and tried to prove me wrong. If I knew the oil change was 79.96 i wouldn't be getting an oil change the week my car is about to be sold. My record said I payed for a headlight for 29.99 not an oil change. I have the windshield sticker that says I got my oil done the exact date of the receipt. One gentleman said that I was charged wrong completely. He than slammed his hands on the keyboard, threw his hands up, and took the price down and said "It's basically a steal for what I'm getting" walked away and refused to cash me out. I've never felt more uncomfortable. All these men standing next to me arguing with me, being treated like a liar and a criminal, and than walking away trying not to cry because of how rude they were. Before you talk to customers like that, maybe you should train your employees to know how to read a computer screen and how to charge things appropriately. I was told I wasn't going to be serviced again on my car cause the oil pan is broken. That's okay with me cause I'll never EVER go a jiffy Lube again. If you want to be treated like a liar, go to Jiffy Lube! The only person who was somewhat professional was Dominik. But let me just say, I don't enjoy being treated the way I did.
