Check engine light came on and realizing we needed an oil change soon anyway, decided to knock out two birds with one stone. Unfortunately, this Jiffy Lube just happens to be the closet place to my driveway, and with the engine light seemed like a smart place to take it. Wrong. The lack of any other customers should have been a clue. They did change the oil, and regarding the engine light, ran a test and determined that whatever it is was likely a mistake due to brake fluid and then reset it without permission and assured it was fine. They did check out the brake fluid, which I am aware of because they entirely left the cap as well as the air filter cover completely OFF and sitting in the top of my hood. Only to be discovered once at home. Since the experience, there is also something that was left loose in the bottom of the car that flaps in the wind every time you drive more than 25 mph. From observation and interaction, all of these mistakes seemed likely due to the employees being under the influence of something. What, I cannot determine with confidence, but they certainly were not reacting and responding as any other person would. Do not, under any circumstance, take your car here for ANYTHING! read more

My boyfriend and I were the first ones, there were no others waiting. The guy that did the inspection told us that the license plate light was out and wanted to charge $15.99. My boyfriend said no he could do it We drove down the road to Oreilys, and my boyfriend checked the light to see how difficult it would be to replace. He came back and said the light was working We immediately drove back and he got down and showed the guy that the light was working Instead of apologizing for the mistake we had to wait 20 minutes for an different guy to reinspect the car as if he was looking for something else to tell us needed replacing Won't be coming here again!!!! read more

Don't waste your time. Went here to get a state inspection only to be told it failed due to my window tint being too light. Out of the 6 years I have owned my truck + tint from factory this was a first. Then was told because my brakes had a squeak in them then it would not be passed. condescending attitude from the tech. Jiffy Lube - Oil Change Stations Near Me - San Antonio, Texas

This place seems to get more expensive everytime I go unfortunately. I've noticed the oil change prices here are quite a bit more than most, and even with a coupon it was still double what I pay across the street. The customer service has always been friendly though, so I can't complain there. They usually have coffee prepared in their waiting room. So that is nice to enjoy while waiting, and the wait time is usually fairly quick, depending on how busy they are at the moment. Recently, it looks like mostly kids they are hiring these days. I'm a bit worried these younger ones may not know as much when it comes to vehicle issues, but hopefully they are trained to know just as much as the veterans. Overall, I'm not sure it's worth the price I pay, and will probably stick to the other location across the street. read more

Great location. We went here for our inspection for our registration of our vehicles in Texas. The staff was extremely nice and welcomed us to Texas. They gave us recommendations for work that needed to be done. I knew a mediocre amount about fixing up my family's cars so I just said I'll do that myself. They were not in the slightest bit pushy and they were right about all their recommendations. I love frequenting jiffy lube as our combined knowledge always creates a good business atmosphere. So, the one guy changed my radio station from Classical to Jazz, which, OKAY, that's petty, but OKAY! Great service! Everyone was perfectly polite. The service is at least $20 cheaper than the two service stations literally across the street. And, I actually got a chuckle out of the PETTY ASS radio station change. lmao The only con is that they tracked a bit of dirt... oil.. whatever... into the car. But honestly, that's to be expected to some degree when servicing any vehicle below the luxury status. Beware. They broke the sensor during an oil change and sent my step son on his way without telling him. When the warning lights came on, he went back. They said go across the street to get it fixed. He came to me instead. By that time the oil had leaked out of his car and the engine was blown. We have been without a vehicle for 2 weeks and counting. Jiffy Lube claims they have an insurance company and will fix it. So far, no car, just empty words. But if I buy from them they will install and then pass it. I said no. My wipers are still in good shape. They told me they won't pass it. So I took the keys and went somewhere else. THE WORST BUSINESS I CAN EVER RECALL! New in town, I went yesterday for a simple oil change and inspection...ended up walking out and driving away - probably the smartest move I made all week! The typical Jiffy Lube greeting and quick check-in was non-existent. Only one bay was in use. The first person I dealt with, sitting in a back office playing with his phone, took me to a second employee who in turn, told me to "have a seat...it is gonna be a while" (to check me in??). I stood around for a while, then, clearly annoyed, he asked if I was in his system. I said no -- now he was even more annoyed. We have only taken our car here twice to receive maintenance. The first time was a great experience and the gentleman we had was very professional and helpful. A couple weeks ago my gf took in her car to receive a transmission flush and overheard a conversation at the front desk. The customer couldn't speak any English so the employee had an attitude about it and pulled in someone else to help translate. After the customer left the girl came back to the front desk to help another customer. The conversation that took place was beyond unprofessional and racist in my opinion. The customer started going off about how would that lady like if we went to her country only speaking our native tongue? To make matters worse, the female employee was agreeing with him and he then started chanting "build the wall" and the employee started laughing and encouraging him. I was stopped by a small town police officer on my way to Tyler just a few days prior to my visit to San Antonio. He told me the light illuminating my rear license plate wasn't working. Nice guy, no ticket, just wanted to let me know. I'm sure the whining Shih-tzu crated in the back seat helped me get out of there quickly. Anyway, on to Jiffy Lube. I stopped in here to have my oil changed and asked them to replace the bulb over the license plate. The old bulb was, indeed, kaput and a shiny new one installed in its place, but still no light. Jiffy Lube says the housing must've gone bad. To their credit, they didn't charge me for the shiny new bulb that remained dark over my Texas plate. So yesterday I take my car to my trusted mechanic in Irving ready to shell out some clams for a new housing. He removes the newly installed bulb and finds it coated in dirt, oil & grease. "It won't work that way", he said. He cleaned it up, popped it in, and viola! there was light. So much for four stars. I dropped Jiffy Lube down to two for having no wait but the carelessness displayed (get the pun?) here is not acceptable. read more

I'm really not sure what to make of my experience here, except I won't be coming back, and other people need to be careful as well. I came in this past week. When I was called to pay, they went over the receipt with me. My tires were suppose to be rotated, it was on the bill, and the guy said "yes" when I asked if they were. Except - my tires had not been rotated. I had a flat on the rear driver side tire, and had it fixed a few days before I came in. There was a clear mark on it. The tire was still on the rear driver side, as I was being told they were rotated. I also needed to get air on the front driver side - it was still there, where it was before I came in. I brought it up, they seemed surprised then kind of humorously tried to change them right there. I told them don't bother and just take it off the receipt. I then verified the filter they said they would replace was done (it was). The debit card reader happened to be offline, so I had to run to HEB to get cash. Then I was told the printer was offline too, so I wouldn't get a receipt. I guess in fairness it was empty when I came in, and two customers came in after I did. I don't know if that threw them off, but...really? Be careful if you go to this location, and verify everything. I don't know if it was on purpose or not, but now I'm second guessing if the oil was changed with what I paid for (or even at all..). read more

Easily the quickest oil change I have ever had to wait for. (30 minutes at most!) The only reason for a deduction in stars was the waiting room. A little uncomfortable and annoying music playing. These guys look out for you. I went there for an oil change. They told me about a problem with my tire. It was very damaged, went somewhere else to get it fixed. Took my wife's car for an inspection. They offered to do the headlight service where it improves the yellow oxidation. Her car needed this service, no doubt. I was still skeptical about the quality I would get from them. It's been about two months now and the results last! They used wet sandpaper and scrubbed out oxidation, cleaned it and sprayed on a new protective clear coat. They also gave me a good price on that service. They do more than oil changes. They really take care of your car. read more

We came to Jiffy Lube because we had a couple of negative experiences with some of the other quick oil change places. WE FOUND OUR NEW PLACE. We knew we were in good hands when Krystal asked us if we had a personal preference on tire pressure or if she should follow the manufacturer recommendations. Onyx did a thorough job as well but we were sold when Garrett asked if we knew how to reset the service light. Literally no one has ever walked us through that before. Krystal let us know we were missing the washer fluid cap, which other than failure to replace at the previous servicer, we can't imagine how that happened. I just went to Jiffy Lube on Thousand Oaks to get an inspection for the annual renewal. As I went to pay, I could not find my wallet so I told the young man I had to run home to get the money. He in turn gave me the inspection report and told me not to worry about the $7. When I got home I could not find my wallet. I then thought someone had taken it from my van. So I went back to pay the $7 and the workers said the wallet was found and was in the safe. It turns out the same guy that inspected my van turned in the wallet and even the $200 I had in there was untouched. I have been going to this one place for a couple of years and not only do they give excellent service, they also are extremely honest. Shout out to Jessie Zamarria for being so honest. read more

As you can clearly see from all previous reviews, it would be wise to avoid this place. Seriously, don't even waste your time, and save your money!!! They are dishonest and will gladly take your money for services they have not even performed. When we arrived, I made sure to let them know I needed my power steering fluid topped off, since it has a known leak and is something that is always brought to my attention every time my car is looked at. I know it's running low because I can tell a difference in the way my car drives, which is why I made sure to mention it to them when we pulled in. They of course tried to upsell us on everything under the sun, which we declined. And then when they were done with the service after less than 10 minutes, I asked the man (whose name I will not mention to save him the embarrassment) if they happened to check the lights on my car. "Yes, ma'am!" he replied. I said "So everything looked good with my lights then?" To which he replied "Yes ma'am." ---- Too bad my headlights have been BROKEN now for quite a while and need to be fixed. They don't even turn on! I politely informed him that actually, both of my headlights are broken and that I was very disappointed in the fact that they would say they checked my headlights when obviously they didn't. He completely ignored me and tried to give us our receipt and send us on our way. (Really professional.) So I basically restated myself again. He then said, "Well, we don't check to see if they're working or not..." I said, "Well what's the point of checking them then?" And he says "I don't know, we just check them." Nice, Jiffy Lube!! Lame attempt at talking yourself out of a blatant lie there buddy. He wouldn't even look me in the face and seemed completely caught off guard that I would actually confront him about something like that. He was not at all interested in anything except getting us out of there as fast as possible after that. As I got into the car and looked at the receipt he handed me, I noticed that the Power Steering said it was already full. OF COURSE - because they didn't check that either! Who knows if I really have new oil in my car either? In situations like this it's quite unfortunate because one lie certainly causes you to question everything else and it makes me wonder if anything they said they did was actually in fact done. Especially when we were there for less than 10 minutes. The receipt also stated that my windows and carpets were cleaned by them. There's no way. I will be contacting the corporate office on Monday. There is no excuse for this kind of dishonesty, and the fact that I just wasted my money on services that were not completed is not only extremely disappointing but absolutely infuriating, since I now have to spend more money to go somewhere else to have those things done. Bottom line...I DO NOT recommend this place in any way. Don't waste your money. OH - let me also add that we were the only customers there while receiving our service. Employees were very slow and not very helpful, asked me to fix the lights that were out to get state inspection so I did and I asked is everything else good, ya. Then right before I'm about to pay he says o ya now let's try your horn, so now I had to get out of line move my car to the back fix the problem, then get in line again, each time. Took over an hour and it only took me 10 mins to fix the lights and the horn. Too many people working here but no one really doing anything. Waste of time, this place used to be helpful, friendly and actually have customer service skills well, not anymore. My wife had the oil changed in her Caravan on 13 May. The oil light came on driving north on IH35. There was no oil on the dip stick. The O Ring for the filter cap was missing. If I had driven another 30-45 minutes I would of had a blown engine. I went to talk to the manager and all I've got is a run around.
