I took my explorer here on Saturday 9/26 about 3pm to get an oil change and I will never go back. I was told I had a coolant leak and it would be dangerous to perform the oil change before the coolant leak was fixed so they gave me an estimate for the leak of $1,691.11. I later took it to car pro on 281 and there was nothing wrong with my car in fact the coolant was over the level line and still is. I have checked it every day since. As you can see they also quoted 10.5 hours to fix this. That is a ridiculous amount of time for something like this. I will he reporting them to the better Buisness bureau and will never return. I understand times are rough during COVID but this is sexist and I cannot believe what I experienced. I'm surprised by the over-all 3.5 ratings since my experience went very well. I decided to try this place for my oil change. I knew I had to get some of my filters changed but waited on them to pull them and show me their condition. Sure enough, they were pretty dirty so I said yes to the new filters. I must also preface by saying that I did not have to leave my car while going through the oil and filter change. The only time I was asked to step out was when I requested a tire rotation (which was free of charge). Service was quick and friendly. They did not replace my oil plug all the way. Engine went into limp mode and costed me 500$ to fix this. While trying to get ahold of someone to fix this issue, they are not responsive and will not return calls. Something needs to happen. We are going to take legal action soon. read more

I left the office to get an oil change. I went to the Broadway location, but they were out of filters. They told me I could go buy my own and come back. SMH #1 They direct me to their Thousand Oaks location. So they ask me to pull up close to the guy in front. The guy is here for an inspection. He thinks he's fancy in his old car, but his exhaust fumes are overwhelmingly. I pulled back one car length, then 2 car lengths. I went back as far as I could. It was hard to breathe with all the exhaust fumes coming into my car. I had to roll the windows down because breathing was becoming harder. I asked them if they could ask the guy in the old car to turn his engine off. They said they weren't allowed to ask him. SMH #2 So now not only does the interior of my car smell like exhaust fumes, but so do my clothes and my skin. I can't go back to the office smelling like exhaust fumes. So now I have to go home and shower, take my clothes to the cleaners, take my car to the car wash and then head back to the office. Such a sad state of affairs when you don't listen to your customers. They refused to even ask the old car driver to turn off his engine. I asked them 2x to ask the driver to turn off his engine. Then, after being in the bay 15 minutes approx., they also tell me they don't have a filter for my car. If they know they are short on filters, why don't they pre-check the inventory while people are in line? They say I have to go into the bay first, that their processes don't allow them to pre-check, according to Zena, the Assistant Manager. They have my car registered in their system so all they had to do was check my license plate. So no oil change but I now smell like 45 minutes of exhaust fumes and lost hours because now I have to mitigate the issue. Not even an apology from these people. I rarely give a 5 rating, but the experience I had today certainly warrants it! This was my first time using their services and it is safe to say that I will be using them again. I pulled right up and was greeted with a bottle of ice cold water and a smile. Never even had to get out of the car. It was great hearing all of the communication among the techs and team members, almost like you see in a professional kitchen! I've been here before and had a quick experience which is why I came back today. I waited 40 minutes for my car to be pulled up into the bay. Then it took another 20 to get my car serviced with an oil change. I don't understand why 4 techs work on a single car when there are 6 lined up? Also there are other techs just walking around doing nothing, they should be able to lend a hand if it's busy? Nothing quick or efficient about the service today. I also got some new wiper blades installed because mine were torn up, I knew it. I didn't feel like they were upselling because I knew I needed an oil change AND wiper blades. Service is always prompt and courteous. Prices are pretty much in line with other places. The problem I have with this particular place is that suggest service/parts you don't need. I never had this problem when it was Express Lube. They tried selling me on a new air filter when the one that I had only had 4,000 miles on it (I changed it myself). Another time they tried to sell me on wiper blades when the ones I had were no more than 6 months old. I passed state inspection 2-3 months later and a tech that did the inspection said the blades looked and performed almost like new. I will be taking my business elsewhere because I simply cannot trust these people. read more

My 4th time back and everything is fantastic!!! Making this a regular stop now!!! Awesome! I went back and gave them a second chance because everybody deserves that. It lived up to what it should've been originally. The workers there were very polite, called out as they were doing each step, did not curse or talk about any customers like I originally experienced. It was a very pleasant experience and I think exactly what they originally intended for it to be: Fast, easy and very well executed. It's also worth noting that I did not contact them before I went in, as suggested by their reply. I only did this because I wanted to see how they would run without knowing an upset customer was coming back. I absolutely appreciate the response thougto this feedback and I would definitely and will definitely go back! Overall it's a very interesting concept For oil changes. You pull in the back, they ask what you need, you stay in your car, you pull into the garage and they change your oil for you while you're sitting there. You also talk to the cashier from your car he tells you what's going on step-by-step and then you pay and you're on your way. Great concept! Unfortunately that's where it stops. The management needs to make it very clear to the workers there, that people are sitting in their cars listening to everything they're saying because that's the way they designed it LOL I've never heard so many curse words, workers talking about certain customers that they hated talking about how a manager declined to talk to a customer on the phone and made them wait for hours Before the customer hung up, there were workers smoking at the entrance which of course gets in your windows and in your car. I know these kinds of conversations are normal in workplaces, but if you're going to have your customer sitting there with their windows down, you need to Make sure your workers clearly understand what they say is heard by everybody. Took my car to get an oil change and due to the intentional negligence and laziness by the staff, I am now paying $2500 in repairs to my car. I heard a mechanic tell another mechanic it was unnecessary to put all the screws back in my skid plate. Because of this my skid plate was ripped off while I was driving and it broke the radiator support arm off my car. I will definitely never use this place again. read more

This is the second time Take 5 has screwed my oil change. The first time my girlfriend took her car to get a regular oil change, a few days later it was leaking oil. They didn't screw the oil bolt back in all the way. Funny enough when I went there for a simple oil change, it happened again!
