I went here to get a oil change and inspection. They informed me that my rotors were warped and I would need new rotors and brakes pretty soon. He gave me a quote of around $500 and said I can bring it back to get them when I wanted to get it replaced. When I left I noticed they never gave me a sticker with the updated mileage or reset the oil life on my truck. Almost 3000 miles later, I stared getting warnings to check my oil level. I am now questioning if they ever changed my oil. I took my truck to a different service department, one I have been going to for years and asked him to fix my rotors and breaks. He told me he replaced the rotors and breaks 3 years ago and that they are still perfectly fine. This jiffy lube took advantage that I am a young female and tried too trick me. Date of visit: 9/6/22, approx. 4pm; Purpose of visit: State Inspection This was my first visit to this location, I go to Jiffy Lube for state inspections only. My cars are considered sports/luxury level so I'm very particular about where I take them for maintenance. I pulled up to the bay and was approached by a friendly tech that asked what I needed. I said I was there for an inspection and I asked if the car needed to be moved. The reason I asked is because there are steps to putting a BMW M4 into park. He said, "We are not going to move it", so I placed it in park, left the keys in the car and went to the office. While in the office, the inspection was completed and I was paying my seven dollars when I noticed a tech getting into my car. I started walking out to stop him because there is NO reason for someone to be getting into my car. That's when the burly white guy at the computer stopped me because I hadn't signed for the seven dollar charge. By the time I got out of the office it was just in time to watch that tech drive off in my M4. I would describe the feeling in the pit of my stomach as dread mixed with rage. I knew exactly what was happening and I was powerless to stop it, even if I sprinted towards my car I wouldn't have been able to stop him from taking my M4 for a joyride. I watched helplessly as Angel (what an ironic name) drove away, the burly white guy saw me standing there and came out of the office, I asked him "Why did he just drive off in my car?" We both knew the answer, but he just stood there and said "he'll bring it around to the front in a minute". I stood there knowing this idiot was joyriding through a shopping mall parking lot with my car. When he had finally had his fun, he brought my car back to the front and he came within three inches of hitting me with the rear bumper. I walked up to the driver's side window to see him looking around frantically for how to put my car in park so he could...most likely run away, because the look on my face told him I knew exactly what he just did. I grabbed the door handle to get him to open the door and I had to instruct him on how to put my car in park, so that I could go home and REVIEW THE DASH CAM FOOTAGE. That's right Angel, I have a dash cam. Of course the dash cam footage confirmed my suspicion, he had indeed taken my M4 for a joyride in the parking lot. Should I be grateful he didn't take it onto the highway? I would be grateful if I could trust the people I go to for my car needs. These are NOT the people to trust for your car needs. If you value your vehicle, or you have a fast/cool/unique/powerful car or truck just assume that it will be taken for a joyride. Obviously it doesn't matter whether you drop it off or you wait there for it, because he drove off in my car right in front of me. There were at least two other techs that saw what he was about to do and they did nothing to stop him, so maybe this is normal behavior for them. The burly white guy that helped me didn't seem too bothered by the fact that I had just witnessed my car being taken for a joyride. My point is this: if one tech (Angel) has no integrity, then none of the techs have integrity. Do you really want someone with NO INTEGRITY performing a brake job on your vehicle? They are performing vehicle maintenance that could be the difference between life and death (brakes) every day and I am terrified for the safety of their customers. I do not write negative reviews often, but I would not be able to live with myself if I didn't warn others about this place. read more

My bf went for a state inspection and they would not pass the truck because they said he needed new brakes and rotator cuffs. After reading several bad reviews. We decided to take the truck elsewhere for a second opinion and the second place passed his truck no problem and said his brakes were fine. A couple weeks later he took his truck to the dealership for an oil change and the dealership also said his brakes were fine. Come to find out that my brothers have also had similar experiences at other Jiffy Lubes and will never go back. It's a shame they try to scam people. read more

After 1 hr 45 min....my oil change and tire rotation is finally finished. Not very efficient utilizing the crew on duty. Seems tire rotation is not as important as the oil change. They ran 7 customers around me before doing my tires. Not very happy with this location. read more

Very inefficient here. They seem to not get the job done in a jiffy. I came for a brake inspection just before 9am. They weren't busy and ALL the service bays were empty. The technicians can only do oil changes. Anything mechanical requires their certified mechanic to be available... usually by appointment. Military discount doesn't apply for mechanic services. Also, disregard the advertisements shown on the TV in the waiting room stating Jiffy Lube gives military discount. It's misleading. The person's tone at the counter was not customer friendly. He was definitely not the right person to have at the counter. They should have consistent customer service skills throughout this place. But that's what this Jiffy Lube has to offer. read more

I've had my oil changed several times with Jiffy Lube at 15703B San Pedro Ave, San Antonio, TX 78232. I almost always get the signature service. The service personnel are always friendly. The experience this time was a bad one. So different, I wonder if they are under new management. After this experience I must say I will not be taking my car back to Jiffy Lube. They said they would rotate the tires and give me $7 off. When I got the bill I questioned the total to discover the discount had not been honored. I found a part on my dashboard that had not been reinstalled. Concerned for what ever else they may have failed on, I started looking around. I could not find my wheel lug lock. Can you imagine being on the side of the road this hot Texas summer with a flat and unable to change the tire? There were dirty fingerprints on both passenger and driver doors, by the gas door and on the front of the car on and under the hood. There was also fresh oil spilled on the front bumper. The windows were supposed to be cleaned but they just streaked the dirt around making it look worse. The last time I had my car serviced they forgot to do the windows and I had to ask to get it taken care of. When I got home today I wiped off the dirty fingerprints, spilled oil and cleaned the windows. read more

I was sent here to remedy a mistake made by another Jiffy Lube location, and now they have earned my business for life. This location is run by Ben, and he and his staff, and Dre from another store(helping out that day) went way above and beyond to fix the mistake made elsewhere. Also, big thanks to the district manager that enabled them to properly fix the situation. Dre even let me borrow a phone charger since my 30 minute oil change turned into a 3 hour long adventure. During my long wait(not their fault-the issue itself did not have an easy fix), I witnessed the staff going out of their way to find customers that would dissapear for long periods of time to let them know their car was ready, and the staff was very courteous and efficient. Also, note that this is a full-service level Jiffy Lube, meaning they can do brake jobs and such, while the one I had been going to couldn't even do a simple brake inspection. Please consider giving these guys your business, this is one of those rare corporate branches that "gets it right," and I am indebted to these guys for making a REALLY BAD SITUATION a bareable one. thanks again, Ben and Dre, you guys really saved the day!! read more

They are fast, professional, and know what they are doing. Drove in they saw me instantly. They gave my car a test drive to assess the problem. Figured out what the problem was then fixed it. I was in and out within like 10-15 mins. My cars issue was either the gears werent lining up or the software for AWD was acting up. This is a warning to owners of older cars. Do not get a tune up here! I let this jiffy lube replace the spark plugs and spark plug wires on my 1995 Pontiac firebird trans am. Bid mistake. My car started stalling and misfiring right after. I eventually got refunded and went to another mechanic to have them put the wires in the right order, but that was after jiffy lube tried THREE times. read more

Choose another service center, they will take your last dollar to sell you something extra. At least 6 people working in 3 bays yet service was very slow. At checkout they try to make you feel special by giving you a a small discount like $5 off your $95 overpriced service. read more

I've been to this location a few times now. The first time I came was for an inspection and to get my taillight replaced. They were super busy and seemed rushed. The next day I got pulled over for numerous lights being out, turns out they forgot to plug the entire thing back in. The second time everything went well, super fast and friendly. Hence the two stars I reluctantly gave. I'm currently sitting here now for my very last time at this location. I've been here for over an hour and a half waiting for an oil change. My car has been sitting with the hood up for well over 20 minutes with nobody working on it and I've watched a few people come and go. I'm not sure why an oil change is taking so much longer than other people getting their tires rotated. Not sure how much longer I'll be sitting here but never again. read more

I went to get inspection my car is 2019 and I came around the back got approached by a employee and I explained I needed inspection the first thing he said rudely your car won't pass because your windows tint are dark I couldn't see you and I do t think their legal, and I explained I got my windows done are the dealership so yes their legal percentage to pass inspection as before as I have always use Jiffy Lube for service on inspection and oil change! This guys says will I'm going to ask my inspector and walked away and laughed with 3 other employees this is very frustrating cause I just move in the are this establishment is and was hoping this is where I would service my car but NEVER AGAIN will I ever use this place unless those guys who looked at us and laughed and them another guy comes around and says if I had paperwork for tint I explained no sir but told him I've had my tint for 3 years and I've never had any issues. He said if your looking for a handout your not going to get it here I believe he said that cause I told him my nephew worked for Jiffy Lube and that I've always bought my vehicle here if they could look up in system or check the with a tester for window tint and he said no that I would still have to pay for service if my inspection didn't pass and also again he was not giving a handout! This is frustrating cause he assumed I was looking for free or Handout like he said very unprofessional, but the fact that they were like little children laughing and being rude to a customer is what got me as I left all they did was laugh! Well I took time to write this so another person doesn't go through this kind of treatment and the lack of respect for customers especially older folks like me do not have to deal with this kind o customer service, but the good thing I went to another Jiffy Lube customer service was excellent explained of the previous treatment and the check windows and pass what didn't pass was wipers which we bought at Jiffy Lube as they offered to replace and sold the wipers to me. Great service over at the Thousand Oak store kiddos for them and they made a 70.00 sale. I will service my vehicle at that location. I really do hope that the employees at this Jiffy Lube on 15703 San Pedro realize it was not about family members who works for company it was the fact how I was treated! Will not use this location again. I've been spoiled by the hospitality, the professionalism, the genuine concern of the employees at the Spring Branch location just north of Hwy 46. The employees at the San Pedro location ignore your presence, (no I was not standing there observing you ignore me; I wanted to ask you a question). I was never asked what type of oil I preferred. Apparently they would have put whatever grade they wanted in there if I hadn't told them (unasked) what grade I wanted. Hmmm. Trying not to be to harsh, but the entire atmosphere is polar opposite of the other Jiffy Lube I normally use. read more

I've had some pretty bad experiences in the past with automotive centers, but this Jiffy Lube location isn't one of them. Woke up early on a Saturday and arrived at 9am, with already 3 cars in front of me. Daniel showed me to the waiting room, which is just like every JL location--small and cramped, but my standards aren't too high for automotive waiting rooms. I was just getting an oil change, and the wait was about 30 minutes. Usually I dread the moment when they try to upsell you on unnecessary/over-prices services, but Daniel did nothing of the sort with me. He simply asked if I wanted to upgrade my oil, if I wanted to do a tire rotation, and then said that I may want to think about getting my air filter replaced (he showed me how dirty it was). I didn't feel pressure at all and walked out paying $26 for my oil change. With every oil change you get complimentary vacuum, windshield cleaning, tires pumped, and your basic fluids replenished. The employees here were all working hard and not sitting around. I will definitely return to this location! read more

I just brought my wife's van in for a $40 oil change on 11/19/15. Besides the oil change, the staff spent it's time trying to UPGRADE me to a $99 oil change. THESE PEOPLE DON'T DO THEIR JOB, THEY ARE MERELY MARKETERS. After visit my 4 tires were greatly under-inflated. Specs require 38 lbs, but ours were 24 to 28 lbs. BAD JOB, STAY AWAY!!! read more

So the afternoon of my daughters choir performance my wife calls me down around 281/1604 and tells me her car is sputtering, she's having to try and get off the freeway as the car dies. She's asking me if we have tow service with our insurance. Scary huh? Well she'd just had her oil changed at this Jiffy Lube. After she managed to get her car lurching into the parking lot near Ross, I arrived as she was calling a friends husband who as luck would have it is a Master Technician with Nissan. He directed us to look at the engine air flow sensor which he directed us to. Apparently he has had cars towed into the Nissan Dealership with this exact problem and it was always after the owner had their oil changed at one of those oil changer places. We opened the sensor box and blew into it, a small leaf the size of your finger tip blew out and we snapped it back together. The car started right up and has had no problems since. I was able to speed to my daughters choir recital and my wife made it home safely. Later we contacted the Jiffy Lube and explained the issue with the manager. He went so far as to pull video of the oil change, acknowledged the lack of attention both the service tech provided to replacing the air flow sensor and further shared with us that on the video he could see the supervisor who on our receipt was the quality control check person wasn't actually checking anyone's work. Great right. Vindication. Certainly a free or discounted oil change was in our future, or at the very least a heartfelt apology for potentially placing my wife in a potentially dangerous situation; commute traffic, sputtering car, middle lane on a congested freeway. Nope. Nothing. So a place we've frequented in the past for are routine oil change will never see us again. I guess this place is too busy to care about quality work and on the occasion that they fall short and really screw the pooch, they're too indifferent to offer a gesture of contrition. read more

I've been bringing three vehicles here since 2007, but this is the last straw. Took my vehicle in for normal service last weekend, and they reported my brake reservoir cap was missing ... problem is that this location is the ONLY place this vehicle is serviced, and they screwed up my previous service also (didn't reinstall the glove box "hold opens" correctly after checking cabin air filter ... contents dumped when latch was released). Pretty likely same tech screwed up (twice) in the same service. I'm a reasonable guy, and asked that they replace the cap. "It will be in on Monday, we will call". No call Monday. I called Tuesday, and "it will be here Thursday, we will call". I call today, Friday, and management has no idea what I am talking about. Complete lack of attention to detail, and complete lack of understanding how important service recovery is to customer loyalty. They've lost a customer of over 10 years and several thousands of dollars spent. Do NOT recommend. read more

So, I went into this location (shouldve gone to the Thousand Oaks one which was my first choice, they're both equal distance from my house) today to get an oil change. The man said it would take 15 minutes. I waited in the waiting room, then was called out by Victor to go over some billing details and sent back in. Not 5 minutes later Victor comes back inside and says they needed to see me. The big, bearded white guy (didn't get his name) proceeds to tell me that my "mirror broke" (drivers side). Instantly, I had a feeling this guy was going to try to place the blame wherever he could, so long as he wasn't at fault. He tells me it broke while they were wiping my mirror. I said I didn't ask you to wipe the mirror, I asked for an oil change. He says this is part of an oil change. He tells me "you can see where it has been glued before, so when we wiped the mirror it just broke again". I have a used car, yes, but never have I ever glued the mirror back on, and never when I wash my car does it come off so this is new for me. I told him this and all he could do was blame it on the fact that it had been glued before. I said "what are you going to do about this? You would be angry if you took your car somewhere and the person working on it broke something and didn't do a thing about it." He says he can glue it back on, but he would have to go get the glue elsewhere because they don't have it. "Well what about my bill?" I said. He said "I can either glue it or take something off your bill, but not both." I said "You can figure it out." And walked back inside. This man did everything he could to yo NOT take responsibility for what had just happened. I was infuriated, but I am not a mean person so I held it in. Victor, the one who took my info before, came in to cash me out and said that the guy told him to take off some amount of money, I couldn't hear what he said but it looks like $20 on my receipt. He told me again and again how sorry he was. He said he felt bad, and understood why I was angry. He was very nice and at least he was apologetic and he didn't even do it!! I already planned on using a coupon, so I didn't pay much for the oil change ultimately. But 5his experience deserves a review. I had to go buy some JB Weld so that my husband can fix the mirror that was broken by a Jiffy Lube employee. The guy who broke it had no integrity, could not admit when he was wrong. Didn't even apologize, instead ARGUED with me about what had happened. I am so turned off from Jiffy Lube locations and definitely never will return to this one because of this one man. I came here after I received an email for a special offer as a return customer. I showed the guy my email and he said I had to print it, told me I was welcome to go print it elsewhere. Then it was so unclear what he was charging me for. No tire rotation, no inspection and wanting an extra charge of $20 to place in a light bulb that I brought in. We negotiated a price of $10 for placement of the bulb. (Back blinker- not a headlight) When I asked why it was so much more than last time ( last time I was here I paid less and got more) he said that's the prices they have always had, so either I'm getting less this time or overpaid the last??? Disappointing visit. Told $66.99, charged $150.91. That's just shady and wrong. I would not recommend based on this most recent visit. Wow! Amazing service from this location! We had an oil change from a Jiffy Lube in AZ. Ended up leaking and going back two days later before driving to Texas. They tighten the oil drain plug and we drove to Texas. When we got to Texas it was leaking again so we went to this location. The guys treated us with excellent customer service and made a huge effort to figure out the problem. Ended up the oil drain plug needed to be replaced so they told us where to get one quickly. We returned twenty minutes later and they installed it within minutes and had us on our way. All without charge as they made it their goal to fix it right! We recommend taking your car here. They will treat your great and are honest. read more

DONT GET YOUR BRAKES DONE HERE!!! Originally, I felt good after speaking with this jiffy lube about changing my oil, my brake pads/fluids, and my rotors. I arrived on Friday the 17th at 1:00 and was told at 1:45 it would only be an hour longer. After waiting until 3:00 I asked how much longer it would take and then was told it'd be at least another 30 min because they had to "order the parts from far away and there's a lot of traffic on the roads right now". 20 minutes later I had someone else come tell me the parts they sent were the wrong parts. So I had to decide to either wait longer (for new parts to arrive)or get my old rotors put back on (which I was told I "needed" to leave the store today) and then schedule an apt to get the new ones at a later date. The manager talked to me like I was ignorant and when I asked questions to try to fully understand what was happening he said "that's what I just said" and walked away. Also was told I'd get the 50$ fee taken off my bill for the rotors (since i had waited for 2+ hours and was going to have to reschedule an appt.) but that didn't happen and I was charged the full fee. I scheduled my appointment for Sunday the 19th to get the new rotors on but shortly after I left I received a call saying they wouldn't receive the parts until Tuesday so I needed to reschedule, once again. Called back and Ernest said that he had no idea when they'd be there Tuesday so Wednesday would be better. I told him I worked a double Wednesday and would come into the store to set up an apt and really figure this out. Came in Sunday and no General Managers work on Sunday's, only the Assistant who had no idea what was going on with the rotors or the situation in general. Came back Monday and finally got an appointment set up and when I asked about the rotar fee was told it had already been discounted, when it hadn't. It was the same price they usually charge for the brake service, 350$. Due to some family issues that came up abruptly Tuesday night I missed my appointment for Wednesday morning but arrived Thursday to try to finally get this taken care of. Since I didn't have an appointment today I wasn't too concerned with how long it would take (I knew from the last time it would be awhile regardless). What I did become concerned with was the fact that there was little work being done. Instead of sitting inside this time, I sat in my car which was parked in Bay 3 and I just observed (bc again, no one told me how long this would take or what the plan even was). There were employees texting/talking on their cell phones, talking to friends in cars off to the side of the building, throwing the middle finger to each other across the parking lot, and then when one employee came back with food, they all disappeared for a good 5-10 min. The only one who stayed on the floor was the mechanic. He seems to be the only one who actually does his job. As I waited for 3 hours today to have them put my rotors on I also noticed it seemed like every other person there was having issues as well. A lot of people there were trying to get their brakes done and it seems like the jiffy lube just doesn't have any of the parts for it. I know there's a coupon out for 25$ off brakes so if you're going to put that out in the paper then you need to be prepared for it. I'm just so upset and disappointed with my experiences here. I will NEVER be coming back to this Jiffy Lube since they FINALLY put the parts on and I hope no one ever has to deal with this kind of rude, unprofessional behavior like I did. GUESS WHAT!? had my car inspected a week ago when all this started and had to come back because they didn't even put it in the system!! Hopefully I don't get a ticket for out of date registration.
