The staff is very cordial, however I have an opportunity to improve. I had my vehicle inspected 3 months ago but could not renew my registration because my inspection was not in the system. I went back to inquire with this Take 5. They told me the inspection is only valid for 15 days. My question to them was my renewal doesn't come up for 3 months. They said I needed another inspection. In my research for the state of Texas I found this: "Do Texas vehicle inspections expire? A passing vehicle inspection obtained within the original 90-day period remains valid for registration renewal, provided that the inspection is not more than one year old." I asked if I could get a copy of my inspection, they said they no longer have it. read more

I really enjoyed coming here but as we know.. it takes 1 time to turn a great experience bad. I got my oil changed on my truck 9/5 and I have brought it back twice due to a continuous oil leak. Mind you, this has NEVER happened. They told me my Ford has a secondary tank for oil and the old oil is leaking. I don't know anything about vehicles btw. I was told by everyone I know that no truck have a secondary oil tank. My husband brought it in, they swear they corrected the issue. Welp... my truck is still leaking. I now have damage to my drive way and possibly face fines with my HOA. I feel forced to get a second opinion by FORD bc I fear this will cause irreversible damage. Update 10/1 : just left as my engine oil light came on. The staff now stated it's my differential. As we were leaving another vehicle pulled up due to an oil leak! Avoid this place. NEVER had a leak until my oil change on 9/5. My friend who is a mechanic out of state said my truck would be making noises if it is a differential. read more

*****THEFT **** DO NOT GO HERE A worker named Jason STEALS people's DEBIT CARDS and racks up charges. Also forces you to buy things you don't need. He takes your debit card away and out of sight and most likely takes pictures of the front and back. I am not the only one on here that this has happened to. Please be careful. I was told that a little ding in my tail light warranted a failed inspection and a man named Jason said he would only pass me if I bought a new air filter. Ty on the other hand had attitude the whole time communicating with me. when i arrived Ty had me pull into a bay where a card was already being serviced and there were two empty open bays. Max came out and corrected me, and pulled me into the bay right away. Recently got new plates on car, and asked if Ty could look up my car to see what i would get for oil and he said I can't do it. When i asked why he said he "didn't know". If a customer asks a question and you don't know the answer, ask someone who does know the answer. Anyway, thanks Max for your great customer service. I came here for a vehicle inspection since it's that time again, and I was SO impressed with how quick these guys worked. First, they have a very efficient system down in getting the cars in and out of their store. For the vehicle inspection I didn't even have to get out of the car! I was probably in and out within 15 minutes, and that includes some wait time. I really appreciate that the inspector wore a mask when he communicated with me about payment and car...especially since it's so hot out right now! this was literally the worst experience of my life. during my oil change, the men literally FORGOT to screw in my oil cap, so I leaked oil all over the highway which fried and totaled my engine (a cost of around $12,000). the business had no phone line operable, so I had to get someone to drive me (you know bc I have no car) to go IN PERSON to tell them they totaled my car. I have been taking my car here most of this year. My last oil change I was asked if I wanted an additional service to clean engine and replace the oil...Something different than an oil change and it would cost an additional $100+ I said no. My engine light and transmission light are coming on. I took it back in before my next oil change requirement and was told it doesn't need an oil change. they topped up the fluids and sent me on my way. My son works at a local dealership and took the car to work with him. The repair technician said it needs an oil change. I no longer trust this location. Won't be using them again!!! read more

Took my vehicle to a Valvoline location for an oil change last week. They were quite crowded. I was politely told it would take 45 minutes to an hour for service. There were 3 cars ahead of me in each line. I told the technician I'd try them another time, and went to Take 5 in Hollywood Park. Same number of cars ahead, and I was in and out in about 20 minutes. They took extra care to ensure they had the correct specs for my engine and were very professional. I was particularly impressed by one young man who patiently buzzed around training and helping all the other technicians. They are well staffed and extremely courteous. Nice clean place. A beautiful '16 Grand Sport Corvette was being serviced next to me. I figured if he trusted them with his awesome vehicle it was a pretty safe place! This will be my new "go to"! read more

Fantastic service! I can't rave enough about my experience. They hang their hat on the claim that they are the fastest oil change and it's true. They have you pull into the bay and stay in your car, which made the whole process very quick. I believe the young man who was helping me was being trained but he was learning very quickly and did a great job. The most memorable part was when the manager, Matt, checked with me at the end of the service to make sure everything was to my satisfaction. He said something I will never forget "if anything went right during your experience it was because of him (he was referring to the young man who helped me), and if anything went wrong it was because of me". For a manager to take that kind of responsibility and to back up his employee was amazing to me. This should not be taken against the young men working there. It is a common issue I am finding throughout several franchise stores and services. Management in those sorts of places is cutting down on expenses by keeping fewer employees who are less experiended. They are also not stocking up on inventory. The young men were very polite and welcoming but did know what type of oil my BMW takes and had to look it up on his phone. They also did not carry the brand and type needed. I thanked them and drove down the street to Christian Brothers, fully run and operated by experienced well-informed family members. I gave the two stars to the guys working at Take 5. Management takes -3. You will see my comments on other stores bearing the same theme. Best Buy - should be called Worst Sell. The other is Caliber Colossian, which should be called children running the show. Chase Bank, shod be 'chase the customer for the money and ignore him thereafter. And many more... With all 3 oil change lanes full of cars they decided to close the bay I was in line to be serviced on next. No communication with me, they just put a cone in front of me and I was forced to reverse in a crowded parking lot and it was up to the rest of the cars in line for us to figure out how to make it work. Terrible customer service. They also appeared to have have an impromptu staff meeting in the office while the bays where full and cars wrapped around the building. I thought I was going to get service but then they ask the guy behind me to go ahead to start his oil change! Wow is all I have to say been using take 5 for around 3 years now all around texas and this location is relatively quick but the guys are super cool Tyrone needs to be promoted or become an owner soon he did an outstanding job all around explained everything joked we talked he was excellent and got me in and out fast. Pulled up and took probably 5 minutes to be able to pull into the middle bay. They have 3 bays but were only using the middle & right bay. Once in the bay, they ask for the mIleage on the vehicle and the offer you the options for oil for your vehicle. I chose the type of oil, Synthetic Blend 5w-30, and they put in 6.6 qts. They have different types of Castrol Oil blend as well as Royal Purple, & Rowtella for diesels. I took advantage of their 25% off coupon for Military, (Retired & Veteran also). The price with tax before the coupon was going to be $78 & with the coupon it brought the total down for my vehicle & my chose of oil to $59.01. During the process you sit in your vehicle the entire time. They have the team attack all aspects of the oil change. Once changed they bring you the oil dipstick and show you where your oil is sitting on the dipstick as well as to show you it is clean and fresh oil. They offer to check tire air pressure but I had just come from having my tires rotated and serviced so I asked them not to check. They show you the air fIlter and for me I did not need to change my air filter as I change them on my own (cheaper). I asked them to also check my transmission fluid and they said they don't check transmission fluid at their location, but a different Take 5 would do it. I asked them to check and they did and also showed me the dipstick. All in all it was a good experience. I believe Joseph was the gentleman in the middle at the computer talking with me the whole time. It took about 10 mins or so once I was in the bay, so about 15 mins total from start to finish. I would recommend this place. I would especially return knowing they support the military!! read more

Literally just got turned away for service bc these idiots gave me an excuse that they can't do an oil change on a newer model vehicle bc their "computer" doesn't have the information as to what to change it with.. who is training these people?! Stopped here for a quick car inspection. Was told my 2 year old, always garaged car FAILED inspection due to the windshield wiper. They then sold me a wiper for $22 so I could pass inspection. I used my wipers earlier that morning with absolutely no problem. The only reason I had to go through with them was because I was in a serious time crunch. I felt (and still feel) like I was ROBBED!
